Saviour - Tank and Priss' Story

Everyone has secrets. That is something Hunter ‘Tank’ Adams is well aware of because he has more than his fair share of them.

As an ex-Navy SEAL weapons specialist born into a privileged family, Tank struggles to find his place in the world until he joins Devil’s Spawn MC. Rising through the ranks from prospect to Enforcer; Tank meets what turns out to be his greatest challenge to date. Falling in love with the feisty nineteen-year-old was not part of his game plan. He has too many things holding him back to give her all of himself. She is an unnecessary distraction, but one he can’t seem to live without.

Priscilla ‘Priss’ Walker found herself lost and alone after the sudden death of her parents; left to raise her younger sister, Tilly. Devil’s Spawn MC, the motorcycle club her father belonged to before his untimely death, stepped in to lessen the load. Sending prospects led by the sinfully sexy Tank to help her cope with the upkeep of her family home, Priss finds herself drawn to Tank. Their friendship develops regardless of her growing attraction to him.

Both Tank and Priss are in desperate need of a saviour, but for completely different reasons.

Needing to be cherished, loved, and safe is all that matters to Priss anymore. She believes she found that in Tank, until it all goes horribly wrong. Now she has not only lost her best friend, Priss has to come to terms with the fact that the man she has spent the last six years madly in love with, is not who he claimed to be. Tank hasn’t only kept secrets from her; he has been leading a double life.

Tank needs a saviour to fight back the demons in his head. Someone soft and sweet that will see him through his darkest times, and guide him back to the light when all seems lost. Priss was all that and more to him. Faced with the option of losing her permanently, Tank needs to make a tough decision that will put more than just himself at risk.

Can years of deception be undone by finally admitting the truth to the woman he loves, or will it drive an even bigger wedge between them? Will Devil’s Spawn MC forgive their brother his sins, or will they hunt him like their enemy?

When all is lost will there be anyone left to save him…

"Most of the time I pick up a woman at a bar or club in Boulder when I’m on a run. I don’t believe in shitting where you eat and the last fucking thing I need is for some woman to pull the bitch-card out and get in Priss’ face about what I’ve done with her. Yeah, no."

Yeah wouldn't wanna get caught having sex with other women by the h would you sleezoid.

sleazy manwhore who screws around on the h for 8 yrs. This doesn't bother her (cause in the real world the woman wouldn't care that her man is banging other women for 8 yrs, including witnessing this too). Same old story, nothing new to see here folks. Yawn.

UPDATE: 2018
-------------
Over the course of the next few years Priss became my best friend, and the woman I yearned for day and night all rolled into one fucking delicious package.

It’s been more than a year, fourteen months if I’m in the mood to be specific since I’ve spoken to Priss.

Charlee and I ended up at a local courthouse with a marriage license in hand and half an hour later we were man and wife. And all this after only knowing each other for three weeks, just.

By the time I met Priss we’d been married for ten years,

“What I want is for you to give me a fucking divorce. It’s been nearly sixteen years Charlee. For fucks sake, you don’t even have to change your name back to your maiden name if you don’t want to. Just sign the papers I sent you last month, and we can be done with this shit.”

There’s nothing for Priss to move on from other than our friendship. And as much as I hate the thought of her doing that maybe it’s better for everyone if she does. We’ve never been anything more than that to my bitter disappointment.

If it wasn’t for seeing him three weeks later with a woman crushed against the brick wall in the back hallway of Rough Shod, Tank’s deliciously huge cock driving in and out of her frantically I would have called a truce sooner.

I knew that I didn’t have any claim on Tank, but knowing he was fucking other women, and seeing it were two totally different things.

What’s he sorry for? My eye? Not telling me he’s married? Ignoring me for fourteen months? What?

Tank might not have cheated on me because we were never officially together, but I can’t help feeling like he had in fact cheated on me. And I can tell you now it’ll be a cold day in hell before I let him back into my house to talk to me. He’s broken my trust.

Most of the time I pick up a woman at a bar or club in Boulder when I’m on a run. I don’t believe in shitting where you eat and the last fucking thing I need is for some woman to pull the bitch-card out and get in Priss’ face about what I’ve done with her.

My motto for the last fourteen years has been ‘One and done’. I won’t deny it and I won’t fucking apologize for it. I don’t care where I fuck a woman as long as my dick gets wet and I blow my load.

“If I could give her the fucking moon I would, but she wouldn’t ask me for it. She’d tell me she was happy to look at it from a distance, and ask me to sit with her while she does.

Eleven inches isn’t anything to sneeze at, and for a lot of women it’s more than they’ll ever see again.

Knowing that one day Priss would be mine; that she’d have to come face-to-face with a whore that had sucked my cock, or I’d fucked one night when I was so drunk that I finally gave in, was enough to turn me off the idea altogether.

Once again I dont know what went wrong!!

Alas I just cannot give up this series since the overall story is sucking me in. I am just preparing myself for major disappointments in the future books I am going to read too.

The premise was so good in this one too but all action took place out of sight. Not satisfying. The heroine had backbone but she easily forgave the hero's betrayal (he hid the fact that he was married all these years from her). Yes there was no relationship between them all this time but as her friend he should have shared that secret with her. Then what the hell was the deal with her parents. I felt that all of that was a big deal but the way the author wrote it so casually didnt justify the seriousness of their actions at all. I am so glad the sister stood up to them the way she did. All that FBI undercover thing coming out was handled so casually too. It should have been a big deal. How come the club members are okay with two of their own being ex FBI agent?! I just think something is missing. Did I miss something? OW (hero's wife) was handled so easily. Why couldnt the hero do the same thing many years ago? It seemed all so contrived. Again there was a serious issue -her blackmailing the hero but the way the author resolved the issue (sending a club member to threaten her to sign the divorce papers) could have been done at any time in the past 17 years so why not do it that time. Just because it served the story and the purpose the author did something like that NOW!!

There was so much information that could have been condensed. I will say that Hunter aka Tank and Priss get together after agonizing years of knowing each other. I say agonizing because Tank was held back from claiming his love for Priss by so many factors one of which was a bitch of a wife who wouldn’t give him a divorce. Hunter also has 5 brothers who all love Priss and her sister Tilly. One brother has more than a passing interest which doesn’t sit well with Hunter! Then the shocks start happening to these characters.

Not a bad story. I just wish the story didn’t have areas of total boredom for me. And, of course, editing has not improved.

I refuse to not finish this series based on the lack of endings in each book and the horrible spelling mistakes

Okay I tried! I really did! But come on, like it isn't stupid enough that Tank doesn't tell Priss, that he's married and why he can't get a divorce. His "Wife" "blackmails" him, saying he abused her because of Ptsd, after being a navy seal. He couldn't just record those conversations? Nooooo, to easy!
The big twist, he is an undercover agent for the FBI! Then Boom, not only he is undercover, nooooo... Some of the originals are/were too!!!!!! 😂
And that's where I had enough! The situation with the divorce and some action could have been enough for the Story. But the author went with the undercover route too. OK! But the rest? OVERKILL!!!
And I don't want to know how much unnecessary/boring stuff was written, to keep going.... There will be no next book by this Author!

This book signaled the end of me trying to forge ahead with this author or series. We continue with poor editing, plot jumping, and now had a few added plot twists that only serve to make the series less believable and easier to drop. There were some good ideas within this book, as well as the first two, but I’m done wasting my time trying to enjoy the books.

Oh boy… I have a lot to say about this book. Sigh.

Once again, the spelling and lack of editing drag this book down. I’m not hardcore about grammar, but it’s so bad in this series that it constantly distracts from the story. The never-ending internal dialogue with little to no actual conversation is exhausting, and the author’s tendency to jump from one thought to another leaves you wondering, wait… what was this chapter even about?

**SPOILERS BELOW**
As for the storyline? Let me break down this hot mess:

Tank (MMC) is secretly married to a high-maintenance nightmare Charlee (OW) and never told Priss (FMC).
Tank is from a mega-rich family.
One of Tank’s five brothers wants Priss, and even though Tank is ignoring her, his brother can’t have her.
Tank is in love with Priss… but still sleeps with other women and tries to control her.
His wife refuses to divorce him and threatens to blackmail him.
Tank ghosts Priss for over a year—because he feels guilty? (Honestly, I have no idea on the logic)
Tank and four others (including Priss’s dad?!) are secretly FBI agents (sure, why not?).
Oh, and Priss’s parents aren’t dead (because why not throw in a random twist?).
Then, after all the drama, secrets, and lies… everything is magically forgiven, and they get their HEA and a baby.

This book is OTT with its plot, and the writing style makes it even harder to connect with the story. Instead of experiencing events as they unfold, we’re simply told about them through long narration with little to no dialogue.

Enjoyable, Entertaining reads.
All Books in the Devil Spawn series and Vengeance series either have A few spelling errors, Letters missing from words eg hem instead of them, he instead of her etc, and other misc errors such as timeline not matching or description of events not matching in other books.
Apart from these issues I enjoyed the books and series.

Recommend.

DNF @ 44%

I am not crazy with first person, but I was rolling with it until the inner monologues just became a bit too much. The story just isn’t moving at a pace, or with points of action or dialogue, that are holding my interest. Plus, as I get further in, I like the hero less and less.

Well these keep getting better and better. Tank and Priss...love their story. It was a hard fought battle and this book had SO many twists in the story and so many secrets kept and then revealed, that it was insane to keep up. But it worked out in the end the way I hoped and Tank's EX was taken out of the picture in a big awesome way (GO Priss!).
Some folks make a reappearance that shocks everyone and Tilly grows up to realize she has feelings for someone who she shouldn't get involved with.
A really action-packed mix of violence, FBI business, club loyalties tested and super-sexy romance that will leave you panting (OMG Tank is HOT!). My favorite of the three books so far!

Aww man that was a great story about Hunter/Tank and the woman who stole his heart when she was 17 and she became his savior for all the years he loved from afar. This is full of secrets that will cause some changes from a wife, MC leaders are undercover, someone come back from the dead, a new lovers twist with Tilly and the brother she wants to put back together. Heart pounding action nonstop with some laughs thrown in. But the big shocker for me was the story of how Ade heart wrenching childhood and the abuse that she suffered before finding the one woman that saved her as a baby and helped her when she was older.

Another great read in this series. This is turning out to be a very good series to read. The writing style is different but doesn't take away from the story for me. This book had great characters and a good story line that is full of surprises and twist that keep you reading till the last page. rated very good

This was an interesting story and had many twists that kept me intrigued. I really like the characters in this series as they make each story better. I wish there was more interactions between the characters though. The editing was ok, still some issues, but much better than the first two books. I would recommend this book.

Now this book you need to leave belief at your door...So many secrects come out and I did not believe as I kinda chuckled to myself, but that's what books are a place to get away...Tank, keeping secrects, pushing Priss away but loves her...Priss just flat out angry cause she does not know why he is doing this to her, they do get their HEA

This series came out of no where

I got the first book free and am now hooked. My only complaint is that I like more dialogue and less internal dialogue and explanation. More interaction among the characters would be great. But all in all its a good MC read

out of the first three books this was my least favorite. I just felt like there was SO much in the book but the reason for the conflict in the relationship was thin. I mean it was still good don't get me wrong just not as good as the other two.

I loved the story but seemed to get lost a few times in the details. The story would be going along and all of a sudden the author goes into details of that persons story. Just a bit offputting. Otherwise the characters were raw and gritty and the story is what kept me reading.
