An unrequited love.
A tortured past.
An unbreakable bond.

Their love was well-known throughout the immortal world.
The powerful Taldeburu Waleron and his Delara.
But tragedy struck and tore them apart for years. One believing the other was dead.

When fate finally brings them back together again it isn’t kind.
It’s cruel and testing. Sacrificial.

Because love has no remorse for its victims.
It doesn’t give you options.
And it won’t be stopped.

This is Waleron and Delara’s story.
It’s not pretty and it’s not kind.
But it's theirs.

A band of fierce warriors walk in the shadows of the human world with capabilities derived from the senses: Trackers, Sounders, Healers, Tasters, Visionaries and the rare Reflectors. They are known as the ‘Scars'.

"I will never let you go. Understand me. Never."
description

Credo is the long awaited third book in the Scars of the Wraiths. This paranormal series is packed with action, romance, intrigue, and complex characters. In the first book, we met the mysterious Waleron and his beloved Delara. They are fated to be together, and yet, they suffer apart. Finally, it is time for their story.
description
"She is mine."
Waleron is the Taldeburu which means he is the protector of the Scars. One of his scars is Delara. From the very first time they set their eyes on each other, the magnetic pull begins. The attraction is intense and yet, Waleron and Delara take their time developing their relationship. When the two finally come together, an everlasting love is forged. However, Waleron is destined to serve the council and protecting the Scars and other business constantly takes him away from Delara. When they are torn apart, Delara is left isolated and alone.
"Even when we were apart, I felt him within me."
description
"Every touch, every kiss, sob, breath, it was our last. We could never do this again."
After years apart, spent in their own personal tormented worlds, Waleron wants nothing more than to take Delara into his arms and love and protect her. However, he fears the beast that lives within. Too much time has passed. The time wasted and brokenness between them has forged a wedge that may never be healed. And yet, when Delara is threatened by demons from her past it is Waleron that stands by her side and refuses to let her go.
"Make no mistake. You may fuck other men, but you will always belong to me."
description

Told in dual POV, Credo absolutely blew me away. The prologue starts with a bang and I couldn't tear my eyes away. The tempo is upbeat and yet it is countered by the constant slow burn of Delara and Waleron's romance. The pain they both endured is raw and documented thoroughly as the time seamlessly shifts between the past and the present. The secondary characters continue to remain integral to the plot and further strengthen the relationships between the family of the scars. One of my favorite elements of this series is the way the plot is layered and every characters story is explored. One of my favorite couples, introduced in the last book, resurfaces and I can only hope that fate will bring them together for us soon! Additionally, I love getting glimpses of my favorite couples from the other books. All of the characters are critical to each other and the family bond is strong! Since I began this series, I have been dying to know what happened between Delara and Waleron and believe me when I say their story was well worth the wait.
"Baby, we are only hopeless when we're not together."

I simply cannot wait to see what happens next in this fantastical world!

"She was mine. She would always be mine."

Waleron aka powerful Taldeburu (leader) of the Scars always intrigued me since the beginning of the series. He has this power that attracted me; his anger and secrets he hide just intrigued me from the beginning; I was dying for this book and man did I enjoyed the ride. Waleron; was born in a family of power and he had promised to protect his people. All he ever knew was to protect until he met her; a young and gorgeous Scar that changed his world around.

description

Delara Wyndam was a young Scar who meets Waleron and from the first day they meet she never thought could feel the way she did with this man. From day one his direct possessiveness over her overwhelmed her but it broke thru her heart and he stayed deeply inside her heart. From that point no matter what happened she knew she was done for without him. She was trained as a warrior Scar by Waleron everything she knew she learned from him. Their attraction towards each other was electric and magical. However it was also their destruction.
"Two people so woven together that we’d become one and the same. We existed without one another, but we’d never lived."

This book goes back to when they first met and we finally get some answers as all those lost years; why these two suffered and why spent so much many years away from each other. Waleron gets taken away and Delara almost lost herself without him. Their bondage was just so strong she couldn't live without him. The same happened to Waleron once he broke free from where he was taken hostage for years but even when he returned he thought he couldn't be with Delara so they both suffered so much, it was so painful to watch them in their struggle.

description

"Was fate so cruel to have me love a man so deeply, only to lose him and never recover from the loss?"

description

I did loved how Nashoda wrapped this book up, gave us a powerful story proving that no matter the loss time; true love always wins and you just have to go thru a lot of bumps to get there but eventually it will all be worth it. I enjoyed all the side characters of course and I want more yes, I'm greedy I can't wait to find out more about Abby and Damien. Also, the secrets to the amazing Xamien who was Delara's support for so many years. I loved him a lot and would love to know more about him. Lovers of paranormal looking for a fast past, hot and suspenseful story this series is defiantly for you. Once you've met the world of the Scars you would never look back.

4.75 "undying love" stars

I have been waiting for Waleron and Delara's story for a looong time and now that I have finally devoured it, cause that was exactly what i did, read it on one sitting, one gulp, or whatever you wanna call it, I don't want it to end.

It's all true what it says about them in the blurb:
This is Waleron and Delara’s story.
It’s not pretty and it’s not kind.
But it's theirs.
Their love was well-known throughout the immortal world.

And it’s nothing that you can easily grasp…it’s complicated, it’s toxic, it’s powerful, it’s gripping and crippling at the same time, it’s all consuming and overpowering…it’s undying passion against time and space, against duty, against rules…against being torn apart and being glued back together when all the odds fail to destroy them.

We meet Waleron and Delara from the first time they saw each other, being the hypersensitive and highly sensual creatures, they both succumb to the pull and they develop the passionate relationship, friendship, teamship, love…
Our connection couldn’t be explained with words.

 photo CREDO1a_zpsnjogotau.jpg

They were indestructible, undeniable, unseparable until one mission tears them apart leaving Delara in notion that Waleron had been killed.

She’s devastated, broken and totally consumed by darkness of sorrow and pain, until her broken pieces are glued by friendship and affection of Xamien, a leader of another Scar’s Talde in Spain…
but she never truly found herself again…nor she wanted to.

We follow the span of 60 years of Waleron’s absence in an enemy’s imprisonment and torture, while Delara is in abusive relationship that leaves her beaten to death cause of the never dying bond she holds for Waleron. That little gasp of lingering between life and death, makes it possible for Waleron to escape his restraints and fights to safe Delara’s life and putting the man who destroyed her to the Rest as a punishment.

Even their long - awaited reunion wouldn’t hold them together cause of Waleron’s oath and duty towards his Talde of Scars…and he makes a decision to not pursue it any further…even though it’s impossibly painful to do so…
Unquestionably, the road I was about to take would haunt me for the all time, but I needed her. One night would be worth everything.

As he believes he could free her of himself, to protect her from himself and his powerful ink that feeds on his rage…he stays away, cause he’s afraid he would hurt her, and he didn’t trust himself when his ink took over…

for twenty years, he’s kept his distance and as the time of Delara’s tormentor’s release is coming near, Waleron fights against himself to contain his raging ink not to consume him fully while he’s trying to cope with the same spark of undying love for Delara.
A love crucified.
That’s what we were.
He was my savior.
My ruin.
My strength.

Not even that length of time diminished Delara’s love for Waleron, even when he rejected her. Although, she tried to find comfort in others but as being bonded to him…
she could never leave…
or be free of him…not as if she really wanted to be
He was my everything.
Everything.
And without him, I was nothing.

And when the noose of a hidden ploy comes tight around them, putting Delara’s life in mortal danger once again, Waleron will have to come to terms with his own inner battles and while facing the aftermaths of an ultimate betrayal, he will have to make a choice…
between his oath and love.
I’d fight my worst enemy for her.
I’d die for her.
Now, my worst enemy was inside me
and this was our last chance.

Give me a chance to fix us.

The powerful Taldeburu Waleron and his Delara…the impossible love made possible.

The excrutiating pain of angsty, anticipating and yelping hearts torn apart by time and brought back by fate. And they would burn in the passion and through out…
Two people so woven together that we’d become one and the same. We existed without one another, but we’d never lived.

Our tragic love had spanned over a century, but now it was just a love story with meandering paths that had led us to where we were now.

"I'll Be Over You"

Some people live their dreams, some people close their eyes, some people's destiny passes by

There are no guarantees, there are no alibis
That's how our love must be, don't ask why

It takes some time, God knows how long
I know that I can forget you

As soon as my heart stops breakin', anticipating
As soon as forever is through
I'll be over you

Remembering times gone by promises we once made
What are the reasons why nothing stays the same

There were the nights holding you close, Someday I'll try to forget them
Someday I'll be over you

As soon as my heart stops breakin', anticipating
As soon as forever is through
I'll be over you

What I love in Nashoda Rose’s books is exactly that “passion” so palpable and visible in her written words. It’s just the way it is and there’s no escaping from it. It grips you into a tight, pulsating hold and it doesn’t let go until it’s all over and then you still reel from it all until it wears off.

Credo, book 3 in the Scars of the Wraiths series MUST be read after the first 2 books, otherwise you won’t get the full picture and you won’t be able to connect all the details and known facts you get the notion of in book 1 and 2. Cause all the characters are linked and interchangeable through out all three books, if left out, you’ll be confused and have a sense like you ‘ve missed out on smth.

Fast paced, passionate, consuming and heart gripping world of these fantasy characters will leave you wanting for more of them, of their passionate struggles, danger, love as we get another glimpse of secondary cast Damien and Abby, Xamien, even the beginning of Jasper and Max (their story was told in Take), I had a blast, even though as times I had a feeling the story slipped through my fingers as the wide span of years and events were covered, some more and some in less detailed way.

All in all, I can’t wait for the next installment of the dangerously addictive Scars’ world.

NASH, Thank. You.

Waleron was a well respected Taldeburu (leader) of the Scars. He made an oath to protect his people and prided himself for being highly committed to his role. He was happy with the love of his life until fate took an unexpected turn and forced them apart.

Delara Wyndam was a young impressionable Scar. She learned everything from Waleron's guidance. When he was gone, she nearly lost her way. Now that he's back, the pain still refused to go because he was no longer the person she knew.

Waleron and Delara's relationship has been very volatile throughout the series. I had high hope for their story to be explosive and I'm so glad this book was a worthy representation of their love.

She’d be the death of me.

Waleron was never really my favorite in the series. He just seemed detached and sometimes abrasive. I'm glad to learn more of the back story of why he chose to be that way.

I’d hated myself. Hated who I’d become because of my love for a man who no longer wanted me.

I like how Delara was strong when doing something she believed in. At the same time, she was also very vulnerable, but knew how to use it to her advantage.

This book is definitely my favorite one in the series. The prologue was intense and carried through the book. The story was interesting with enough focus on the main plot while still having side stories. I love the last chapter and I secretly (or not lol!) wish it ended differently :p

I do have a little problem with one of the character though. I feel like the character was contradictory to what that person stood for - even for the character's role in the story.

I loved him, but my love for him wasn’t enough. It never had been.

Credo is a tale of two people fighting for what they believe in. The intense and engaging story would appeal to fans of paranormal romance.

Note:
My favorite character in the whole series is Xamien. I wish he has his own book :D

This series is what introduced me to this author and her amazing storytelling abilities and for that it's my favorite of hers. When Nashoda Rose writes a book, she's not just telling you about something, she's making you experience it. I think I've said this about her way too many times, but it deserves repeating because I just can't get over how easy it is to get lost in her words.

Throughout this series we have seen the tempestuous relationship between Delara and Waleron always in the background. If you're anything like me their constant tension was probably making you go crazy to get their story. And now that I've finally read it and gotten to know these characters I can attest to the fact that it was well worth the wait.
"I will never let you go. Understand me. Never."

We're taken back to when they first met, to when their love was ripped from them, and now to the present where they exist within the same world, and yet not together. I really liked how we got the backstory surrounding them, but how it didn't take away from what was going on in the present. After we got just the right amount of how their story began, we moved on to the present and that was the sole focus of the rest of the book.

Waleron and Delara had an unbreakable bond that no amount of time or pain could destroy. There was a lot of push and pull from them as they fought their need for one another. They each had their own reasons for needed to push the other away and it was heartbreaking at times to see them denying one another. Through all that pain, though, you could see the need that they had for one another and it was amazing to see the chemistry that they shared.

I did want a little more romance between them, and felt that there were too many times when the story of the Wraiths took over the book. But the romance that we did get was so amazing that it made up for it. And overall, this was an amazing book and I'm definitely glad we finally got to see Waleron and Delara at times when they weren't just fighting each other. The secondary characters were still great in this book, just like they have been in the others, and now all I can do is beg and plead that Xamien will get his own story.

Our tragic love had spanned over a century, but now it was just a love story with meandering paths that had led us to where we were now.

I always knew Waleron and Delara's love would be one to burrow in deep and take hold of you and never let you go. It is an all consuming love that has spanned over time, torn apart by malice and found when they are all bur shells of themselves. One thing they've learned over time, is that a love like theirs is not one that will ever die, it is one that takes over your soul and gives you life.

Credo was well worth the wait, I devoured it in one sitting, but dragged on the review because real life decided it wanted my attention more. So here I sit writing this review, and their story is still fresh in my mind, it is one that made my heart hurt, and made me hope, because a love like theirs deserved it all. I loved their strength, on their own and combined, they did the best they could with the cards that they were dealt and tried like hell to survive... This world isn't made to be explained, it's meant to be lived right along side them in the pages, every feeling, thought and action. So I hope my fantasy loving friends give this a try, it's for those with the darker hearts and minds ;)

I was waiting for this book forever, expecting loads of gut churning angst. Waleron and Delara have been dancing around each other since the first book and it was easy to guess there was a sad backstory. The story starts with how Waleron and Delara meet and the consequent devastating break up. My expectations for this book was very, very high as I could feel the palpable tension just waiting to detonate in the other two books and thought this was going to be a perfect conclusion. Unfortunately, they still danced around each other till around 70% of the book only when Tarek takes his long-awaited revenge.

I felt Xamien stole the thunder here or perhaps my attention was focussed on Xamien(can't blame me, there were many, many, many chapters in his POV) Delara turned to hot, sexy Xamien during her time of need and he reciprocated with sweetness. I felt she had more intimate moments(even just talking about feelings) with Xamien instead of Waleron.

Still enjoyed the drama and action but pretty disappointed overall. I was expecting this book to hit jackpot, especially with all that intense feelings between them.

Our love was fire. Destructive and consuming.
We'd been together, and yet apart, for years, and when he kissed me, I love him all over again. Whether I wanted it to or not- he defined me.

It felt like I spent years for the story of Waleron and Delara. I knew theirs wouldn't be an easy story. I knew it would break me. I knew all of it and yet nothing could prepare me for the full effect of their romance. It was an emotional roller coaster that brought me to my knees at times and brought tears to my eyes at others. Their love was filled with pain, irreparable heartbreak, heart wrenching moments, and at times you thought they'd never survive all they've been through.

Nashoda Rose spared no painful detail. It may have been tough to read at times, but I love that she stayed true to her characters and their story. Both Delara and Waleron have been through so much, but their love spans centuries. As much as you want to hate Waleron for things that he's done, you also know that everything he did and everything he scarfed was for Delara. Was it perfect? Not even close. But it was painfully fitting. It was beautiful it a tragic way. It was exactly why this author is an auto-buy for me; an emotional and gripping romance filled with pain and heartbreak, that will break you first and then slowly put all your shattered pieces back together again.

Ugh! I love this series but this book was disappointing! I didn't feel the love between Delara and Waleron so that's why my rating is what it is. I honestly think that if we would of got more in the beginning of the book about when they first meet I might of felt different. I felt more love between Delara and Xamien. lol

I really didn't care for Waleron and Delara. I often found myself skimming when it came to them. Things that were revealed in here were pretty predicable and I kind of felt like Waleron was an idiot to not know! His reasons for not being with her also felt lame to me!

The only parts I loved while reading this was when we got the others POV. I forgot how much I loved Jasper and Max (Take) and I can't wait to get Damien and Abby's story! I hope they are next!

As a fan of the series, I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to reading Waleron and Delara’s story. Even from the previous books, you can tell they have the most to tell, and indeed they did!

With the kind of history they have, there’s a lot of hurt, a lot of pain and a lot of sacrifice on each end. But when you’re destined to be with that one person the way they are, none of that should and would matter. My heart broke over and over for these 2, and and to see these 2 go through what they went through… sigh…

I’m a lil conflicted about how certain things went down. I didn’t expect for other people to be involved but a love story like theirs that spans practically a century, and full of strife to boot, for reasons beyond their control sometimes, some comfort is deserved… I think…

And not sure how I feel about how little time they spent together on-screen if I may call it that. But I get it. Considering what’s happening, it was necessary. Oh, but when they’re together, the intensity of their chemistry, dear lahwd!

If you’re a fan of the series like I am, you already know Waleron and Delara and what makes them tick as an individual and as a couple. Their story has already been unfolding slowly throughout the series. But here you’ll see how it all began, and what happened in between. Then of course, you get POVs from other characters that build the story further.

At any rate, despite my conflicting feelings about certain things, this remains a 5-star read for me. I’m just so invested in all of them now that I do want to see every single one of them get their HEA, and I mean every single one of them. Oh Nashoda, as always, I look forward to the next one.

4.5 Forever Love Stars

Waleron and his Delara...I have been intrigued with this connection for a long time and I was so pleased that this Taldeburu and his Scar did not disappoint.

Credo was very long awaited for me. I don't think I have even read a paranormal genre since book 2 in this series and Nashoda Rose definitely made me remember why I fell in love with the mystical, strange, and forbidden other wordly stories. I do feel as if I should have gone back into this world even for a quick skim as this pick ups in the midst of the chaos that is healers, witches, visionaries and sounders. But, I was able to fall into the story fast and my memory was jolted awake just 2 to 3 chapters into this standalone romance.

Waleron is a Taldeburu, a keeper of sorts, a fierce protector of his people, the scars. He has a long history of forbidden passion and need for one of his own scars, Delara. They loved hard and fast and they were ripped apart. Waleron and Delara continued to live apart but in horrid, tortured realities. While they may have existed in their own shattered worlds, neither forgot and neither stopped their love. It has been years but when Delara meets her final tragedy, it is Waleron who comes to her aide vowing to never let her go. Whether or not he can keep that promise the angst of the tale as his continued leaving is only done to hide his own demons.

Together they have to find a way to survive the horrors of their past so they can live to see another day...whether apart or together. Together...this is the time when the story had me cringing...panting...nervously begging for more. I never have been so grateful for dual POV...the pain that this author delivered within her characters was so palpable. I love that both Delara and Waleron were so imperfect yet they were what the other needed...what they other wanted even if they could not see past their pain.

There is so much more story to be told in this world...I cannot wait for more from Nashoda Rose and her wild fierce men and the strong women that take their hearts.

5 our love can heal us both stars

"I may have told myself and Waleron that I didn't love him, but it was bullshit. Love was it's own entity and it had me locked to him from the day we met."

Ah! Finally, Waleron and Delara's story! The first two books hinted at the messed up relationship that they had, so it was great to FINALLY go in depth as to the struggles that both characters faced in terms of their pasts, and eachother.

In terms of this series, this is by far my favorite of the Scars of Wraiths books. As much I disliked Waleron's 'push and pull' attitude when dealing with his feelings towards Delara, we are given insight as to why he is that way. Not that it negates the shitty way he treated her, but the background knowledge we get in this book did make his character a little more understandable.

And I loved Delara. She is such an amazing heroine who is very relatable when it comes to her emotions and actions. Strong willed on the outside and suffering on the inside, we see a different side of her that isn't seen in the previous books.

If you haven't read this series yet, I suggest you start NOW! These books need to be read in order!

I was so excited for this book because I only made it this far because of Waleron and Delara… and I did enjoy it in an action-packed way, but I was SO disappointed from a couple/romance standpoint.

***This will have spoilers from the first two books***

We knew quite a bit of their backstory going in from the first two books… the couple met and had a soulmate type of connection. They had a mate like relationship until he disappeared and was presumed dead for 61 years while he was held/tortured by the evil lilac Jasmine. During that time, Delara mated (maite) with Tarek who abused and almost killed her. He escaped 20 ish years ago and they had makeup sex followed by him telling her he was broken and couldn’t be with/love her anymore. They had a child (h of book 2) from that night that was taken experimented on and rescued last book. (he had no clue) Two years ago (when Balen and Danni were kidnapped book 1) he agreed to stay/sex with witch Trinity for one week in exchange for visions to locate them. This was the breaking point for Delara, and she took off and started sleeping with OM. She only recently returned, and he’s been push/pulling her the first two books… and Tarek is scheduled to be released from Rest soon.

Going in there were a few plot holes that I felt needed to be addressed…

🕳️ Why did they never mate (maite) before he was kidnapped?
🕳️ Why was he forced to sleep with Trinity when they had an alliance with the witches? Couldn’t the head witch that sits on the Deaconry force/order her to disclose them? They can order people to Rest or exile but can’t force one witch to be a team player? This was a HUGE plot hole IMO.
🕳️ Jasmine is hell bent of getting Waleron back and she escaped and is on the run.
🕳️ Why didn’t Rayne tell them that Jasmine told her that Tarek was supposed to kill Delara implying that they worked together? I would think it would’ve made a difference in his punishment and release.

Unfortunately, none of the above were really addressed which was a HUGE miss for me.

The majority of this book’s plot revolves around Tarek and the dangers surrounding Delara. There is also a new character Xamian thrown into the mix that has been a good friend to her over the years with an update on the Damian/Abby situation..

Bottom Line- There’s a lot going on, but I wanted more from the main couple. They had 20 years of hurt to work through and didn’t really have one conversation on-page. AND the Trinity conversation we’ve been waiting two books for takes place OFF PAGE!!

This was weakest in the series (so far)... and I'm so disappointed, I believed in this couple and in their love but unfortunately felt like the author skipped on so much they went through that I didn't feel satisfied as a reader.

How do I explain this ... in the previous books, I ADORED them and loved the couples and felt satisfied with their HEAs because the love and romantic journey was fleshed out, and we lived through it with them and understood it.

This book was like... bad boys (the movie franchise) - it's all action and suspense and SUPER exciting, and throw in a hot chick for Will Smith to have a romance with on the side. This book was like that. The WRAITH fight took over the WHOLE book that there was little left for Waleron and Delara (given that a lot of chapters are of other characters in the book).

And it was such a shame... we deserved more as readers after building up the suspense for 2 books! We felt Delara and Waleron's pain for SO LONG and for it to be tied with a bow so quickly at the end without any questions/conversations, etc, was unrealistic. I was FURIOUS when Delara tells us "Waleron told me how he had to take so many drugs to be with Trinity." Like HELLO, we needed to be part of that conversation! These conversations should've been had at the end so we get the details and KNOW AND FEEL CONFIDENT that they'll never leave each other again. It was infuriating!

In the beginning as well, we got to see how they met but that was also very glossed over. They go from first kiss to already have had sex and said I love yous.

This didn't have a process of them getting back together, it was more like... Delara was going to die and Waleron's finally like, OK we have to do this, I can't live without you. And then they go through SO MUCH MORE (I did mention the action, right?) so at the end, they want each other and they're tired of fighting it.

But it doesn't change the fact that WALERON left her first and chose to be with Trinity FIRST. It didn't change the fact that in previous books she cried out for him and he rejected her. SO I needed that conversation in the end for Delara to ask "How do I know you won't shut down on me again?" I know that it was cause of his ink... and he finally showed it to her and that's all good... but a part of me still wanted to give him SHIT for causing them to be apart for twenty years.

Hell, if he didn't decide enough is enough, they'd still be apart.

So I wasn't satisfied from that aspect.

Now, the positives cause hello, I did give 3 stars.

The action was brilliant. The fighting and all is done so well. The side characters are awesome and I love reading about them. And I LOVED that she had other partners too, and the second she went to Trinity, she went to a guy to bang. I LOVED that she had a good sex life and wasn't some celibate woman or one who didn't love the sex with other men. She did. I also thought she was kick ass.

I just didn't like Waleron as much. I think he caused her twenty years of pain and she's definitely a bigger person than me to be able to get over it that easily.

I didn't need a grovel, but I needed confirmation that he'd never do it again. I needed to be part of the conversation they had that night about Trinity. I believed in his love for her, I REALLY did... , he also hurt when they were apart, but he had those numbing pills. She didn't.

It has been a long time since I read the first books in Nashoda Rose’s Scars of the Wraith series. So when I had the opportunity to read “Credo” I was worried… reading so many books since then – would I still remember the complicated world of the Scars ?

I remember I loved them so there was no question that I wanted to read it but – would it feel right without rereading the first books ? But then I “opened the book” (as far as that works on a kindle) and after reading the first few lines the magic was back.

I may not remember all the tiny wonderful details this author weaves into the story. But the feeling was back with a lighting strike. I remembered how much I wanted to know about Waleron and his famous “pill disperser”.

I needed to know where this pain came from – this pain that was so present.

This series is so unique that it is not possible to compare them to anything other authors may have written. At least I do not know any other comparable story and believe me I read A LOT.

Finally in this book the reader is getting some closures on THE one love story that was there from the beginning of the series. It feels like it was there from the beginning of time. It is situated so deep in the plot that it was always present an almost living entity that was breathing in the background of the other books and it needed to be told.

I refuse to go into the details but if you read the other books you will know the pain I am talking about and you will understand the relief I felt that we were finally let in. If you did not read the first books you should not read this one because you need to know the whole story.

And it will be worth your time I promise.

First of all, if you haven’t read Stygian and Tyrant then you need to stop. Go read those first before you look at a single review for Credo. Regardless if they are spoiler free or not, you will be lost. You will not fully understand the relationship between Waleron & Delara.

I seriously love this world that Nashoda Rose has created. There is always so many plot twists and so many different elements and moving parts that it is impossible to not get swept away into it. From the start of the series, I’ve wanted to know more about Waleron & Delara. When we first meet them in the previous books, there is so much tension, hurt and pain between them. It’s clear that they still love each other but it seems like they will never be able to recover.

Credo gives us the back story of this destined couple, which is exactly what I needed. I think most of us looked forward to this and needed it. It shows us just how powerful their love is. Both have made mistakes over the years (centuries) yet their bond is so all consuming and powerful that no matter what happens. Their story is raw, painful and heartbreaking.

What I love about this series is that there is always another story. I’m always left wanting to know more about someone. This time, I can’t wait to get my hands on both Xamien and Jasper’s stories. Xamien is directly tied to Delara in Credo and despite the fact that I know she is destined to be with Waleron, I couldn’t help but fall for Xamien as well.

If you like a paranormal world that will exceed your expectations and open your mind to limitless possibilities, then this is the series for you. I can’t express how much I’ve enjoyed it and I can’t wait to get my hands on more. I hope it never ends!

SINOPSIS:

I'm really disappointed in Nashoda Rose. This book had so much, yet too little too late. The road to redemption was painfuly slow with very little happening. You can't have the most important book of the series and just cling onto the same impossible things over and over. Again, the best parts in the book were when she was talking about other storylines. It's her formula, the best parts of their stories are in the preceding books and then when their book comes up its...blah. Again in this book she filled it up with new people and new storylines and the kicker is that this book was published in 2016, and still no new book as far as I know, that's an awful long time, meanwhle she writes other series.
I'm not saying I didn't like the book, or the world she created, I really enjoy them, I'm just a little mad at her. (In a creative way)

5 MAITAGARRI - undying love
Wow, how can I even begin to describe the crazy rollercoster I had during Credo׳s reading..
I know , I know I am saying it after every book by Nashoda but it's true, every book of her is a masterpiece, and in every book she improves altough I think it's not possible but it does.
Credo had me twisted and having a trouble breathing.
Nashoda has a way with her writing that catches your heart shakes, brakes it and rebuilt it better.
As each book in this series, Credo is written just beautifully..
I loved the way Nashoda can take a hell of a lot characters and write them so well and so vivid.
I could imagine in my mind how the backgroung looked, and feel each feeling they felt.
Yeah there were moments I wanted to punch them for not seeing the right way.
Welaron is the taldeburu of Toronto talde, he is powerful and HOT so dammmn HOT, and his connection to the beautiful Dalera is beautiful and unbreakable even when things get shitty.
We had clues in the previous books , byt in Credo we can see the big picture and let me tell that I've been waiting for ass long time to know their story - I know you too..
This story will held you will cause you to bleed and ache but it's worth it, it's this good.
The Scars is a series that have it all, hot characters, bad enemies, storyline to keep you mesmerized, betrayles, thrill, passion and love.

"Our love was fire. Destructive and consuming"

Waleron and Delara was the story I was waiting for. The animosity they have for one another but sensing the underlying love that had once shared, made you want their story. Heck....demand.

Just to explain about the storyline(must be read in order or you will be completely lost, no joke.)

FYI on the Scars. There are different kinds of scars....healers (females that can heal scars and humans), reflectors (deals with emotions), sounders (can detect high frequencies), tasters (detects emotions and when emotion change, they can tell by a taste) trackers (ability to track), and visionaries (see through certain objects). They also have their Ink that they can call upon to help them whenever needed.

When one has broken their laws they are either executed or put in rest. This is what happened to Tarek. He has been in rest. He almost killed Delara. Waleron demanded that he was killed. Now Tarek has risen and he is back to finish the job.

This story has so much going for it. I'm hooked. It's different and interesting and o want more! She always leaves it that way and I wait rather impatiently for the next! Awesome storyteller!

3.5 stars

So I have never liked Waleron and I knew going into this it was going to take a lot for me to warm up to him.

Didn't happen.

For someone who is supposed to be so powerful, he really was pretty pathetic. Anyone who doesn't agree with him gets sent into 'Rest'...just because he can. And I don't care whether he had to be drugged to be with Trinity. Really don't give a shit. He still did it, obviously caring more about Trinity's visions than Delara herself (oh but he just HAD to fuck the witch, ya know?!). Thankfully, Ms. Rose had Dalera actually have a life and not stay celibate for 20 odd years (I'm looking at you, KA!!) so whatever. Anyway I could say heaps more but I don't care that much about him so I won't.

Will I read the next one? Hell yes! Diving into Jasper and Max's story now! :)

Wlaeron is one of my favorite characters that was ever written. He is tough and dangerous but above all he has a sense of responsibility that will always come first..
This is a must read if you love unfulfilled love.
One of the greatest books you will ever read. Trust me

To much ow and om drama. Thrown in readers face allot. Disappointing read. I didn't really feel any love between the two with them both being able to ignore their true feelings.
