What a rush! This story was short, sweet, and to the point while full of all the best of a 1Night stand, and more. Willows combined romance with suspense and some rather heated erotic moments in a perfect balance that kept me riveted throughout. Her intricate descriptions bring this world to life while still allowing your imagination to run wild. She had my pulse pounding and my emotions on edge.
I enjoyed how Connor was so accepting of and loyal to those around him. He let his softer side shine through without losing that tough edge of a quarterback. Gemma’s conflict between what she wants and what she’s agreed to leaves her between a rock and a hard place. Both of these two were individuals whom I really enjoyed getting to know. I was amazed as to how well I felt I knew them by the end of the story, especially considering that it was a short story. They were better developed than many main characters in full length novels. And Willows doesn’t stop there. She surrounds these two with some close friends who really round out the story nicely.
My final thoughts on this one? I really need to get in touch with Madame Eve.

I love the 1Night Stand stories, and this one is no exception. Romancing the Author is hot! Not only is there a sexy romance plot, but there is also some suspense added in to keep readers on the edge of their seats. And NFL Star, Conner Caine is exactly the hero I love to read about in any romance novel. I'd love to read more about this couple and will definitely be reading more by Kali Willows.

Kali is a new to me author but she has me hooked already. She delivers some well thought out characters, conflict, resolution and a happily ever after all packed into a novella.

I truly enjoyed the intense flirting between Conner and Gemma. I loved that they were a second chance romance and that there was an element of suspense worked throughout. It was a quick, easy read and hit the spot for my instant gratification craving.

This is the second work that I've read by Ms. Willows and is vastly different than when Angels Weep. This is a straight forward romance with no paranormal elements. Connor and Gemma knew each other in high school and neither were brave enough to act on the attraction. Gemma is a romance author with a secret and a stalker, while Connor is an NFL star who's tired of fake women. The couple reconnect on line and banter back and forth.
In this novella, Ms. Willows executes not only a love story but adds an element of suspense. The writing is concise and the characters are very endearing and realistic. I truly enjoyed this story and will be on the look out for this author's work in the future.

A captivating short story with a well developed storyline. I liked how it starts to build rapidly from the beginning and kept me in the story. A sweet tale of two people reconnected by chance with some hot scenes and a little suspense thrown in. Connor is sweet, well-mannered and sensitive, which appealed to me. He rocked Gemma's world which she needed badly after her disappointing marriage. I love Ms. Willows writing style and I will look for her other books.
