Jack’s parents are out, and soon Jack will discover something: never insult a snowman. Jack is dozing in front of the TV when he remembers that he left his sled outside. While Jack puts his sled away, a snowman sneaks into the kitchen and locks all the doors. Now Jack is stuck outside and it’s freezing. Jack thinks his sister is playing a trick on him, so he climbs to a second-floor window to attract her attention. That’s when he sees the snowman inside the house. When Jack finally gets inside, he’s on his own with a snowman determined to throw him out — permanently.

This was a cute story with a tiny bit of suspense about a snowman getting into the house and a boy trying to get him out, or did he? Fun story with great pictures!
I read this story to my Munchkins who loved it. One loved the graphic novel format, one loved the creepy illustrations and of course the last loved it because it was about snow.
Snowman Amuck by Cindy Samul Colorful children's story about Jack and how he wakes up and prepares to go play in the snow. What I like about this book is that on the tablet you can swipe easier and also double tap to enlarge the section of the page you want to see more clearly. Each step of the way has many scenes in them showing how he is preparing with clothes, his sled going to visit with his friend before the sun is even up. Things get out of hand when he notices there is a snowman in her house! Cute story, told in comic book format where you can see what is happening and also there are words if you want to understand in more detail.
Snowman Amuck is a very cool and clever kids book. The story and art are excellent and it was nice to read my kids a winter themed snowman book that was more than just cutesy fluff. My sons both liked Jack, but loved the snowman. Give it a whirl even if you don't have children and relive those innocent childhood days when you wondered about the darker side if life...and snowmen....
An enjoyable story about Jack’s adventure with a snowman he had made with his friend during the day --- who with his funny face comes in the house at night to hound him and making a lot of work for him to do. It also includes a cute puzzle for readers to figure out. Was written nicely with great illustrations sort of on the verge of a comic book!
It's a little hard to read in the Kindle format, and the ending is predictable, BUT I liked the clever methods Jack used in his attempts to dispatch the snowman, PLUS the artwork was excellent.
This got the thumbs up from my two children. They absolutely loved it! Hilarious story of the snowman that got inside the house as Jack gets locked out. What happens after that was a fun and enjoyable page turning read that not only my children enjoyed but myself also and quite a good ending to it. The illustrations are very good and we especially liked the snowman as he was also little scary too. Also I’d recommend to check out the authors website http://www.snowmanamuck.com/ that has free fun activities that the children will enjoy also.
This picture book for kids is drawn in the style of a comic book. There are long stretches that have only pictures with no words needed.
An evil looking snowman (his face looks more like mean jack-o-lantern than snowman) sneaks into Jack’s house, locking him out. Even after he gets his sister’s attention to let him back in, she refuses to believe there is a snowman. It’s up to Jack to get rid of the sneaky snowman before he does some real damage. But it’s not easy outwitting a snowman in the house.
Snowman Amuk is a horror comic for kids about a maniacal snowman come to life. It's a little scary for young kids, but it's all good fun with colorful illustrations.
Jack's parents go out for the night. Jack goes outside to put away his sled but the snowman he made earlier locks him out of the house. Very cute story!
This book is a visual fun factory for your eyes. Well conceived and created, this book draws in young readers but also has some moments for a slightly more mature, sophisticated young reader. I love the subtle details, the feeling of good paced story, and the sense of humor that I want to see in children's books now and into the future. Check it out and read it to a kid. It is a lot of fun.
