These quirky short stories, loosely collated in novel format, shed a different light on life in Brisbane in the late 20th century. I was living in SE Queensland at the time and missing European ‘culture’. This book opened my eyes to Australia’s literary riches. Well worth reading, especially by anyone who remembers Brisbane before the flat white existed!
