This is a wonderful memoir that clearly shares the heart and love of a husband and wife, as well as a mother and children. By the end of the book I felt like I knew Hope and I grieved over her loss. The author does a great job showing glimpses into her life, and showing that even a short life lived for the Lord has far reaching impacts. Hope inspired me that she was able to endure such pain and sorrow and still glorify God. She exemplified the life of Christ in many ways. What an example to her children, and to many more. I also appreciated how the author shares his wife's struggles, like when she lost her father and struggled with the pain and the questions in the wake of that. None of us are perfect, but God is faithful. I love how the author weaves the story of salvation throughout the pages as well. He doesn't mince words or skirt the issues but shows the importance of knowing Jesus. Ultimately, that is all that will matter.

This book is well written and engaging. It has encouraged me and spurred me on in my own walk of faith.

Hope's Prayers tells of a young mother taken from her family far too soon by a devasting illness. The hopes and dreams that she wanted to share with her children over the years, have been made possible by this touching story. Told by her husband and author, Rob Pfeiffer, he includes many details and lessons to help the children remember their mother. These details include her faith in God, love of her family, and her bravery during her illness.

The author, though he is mainly talking to his children, drew me in their lives. He tells of their struggles, their joys, and their hopes for the future with God leading the way.

What impressed me the most about Hope, was the legacy of love and caring she leaves behind. My hope is that I will also leave a legacy as rich as hers.

I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Hope's Prayers is a powerful retelling of one father's loving story of his wife written for their children. Rob Pfeiffer recounts the events of a unique woman's life and how her trials drew her closer to the Lord, not farther from Him. The personal touch of Hope's poems weaved throughout the story add another level of intimacy for the reader. I felt as if I knew Hope personally after finishing. I love the way he included their times of trial as well as times of joy, and times of prayer verses times of anger. It made me smile and it made me cry, but most of all when I closed the book at the end, I felt a strong desire to hug my husband and sit down to pray with him about our current trials. Very inspiring and well-written! A great book for two children who are very blessed to have this book.
