Return of the Strongest Healer #1

Return of the Strongest Healer: An OP MC LitRPG Adventure

Rate this book
They summoned him to save their kingdom. Then they locked him in a tower and let millions die while he fixed rich men's feet.

Aaron Voss can heal anything.

A plague across a city. A curse older than the kingdom that cast it. A festering wound that absorbs all magic it touches. A little girl's broken wrist.

He can heal it all — instantly, effortlessly, without cost or incantation. He is, by any measure that matters, the most powerful life mage who has ever lived. And for twenty three years, he'd been kept from using that power to help anyone who actually needed it.

So he stepped off a fifty-story balcony. And when his body broke, the system broke with it.

Now reborn on the other side of the world with his memories intact and his magic transformed into something that shouldn't exist, Aaron has one plan: walk where he wants, heal who he wants, and never let anyone put walls around him again.

The guild says he needs a license. The kingdom is hunting him down. The world is sicker than anyone realizes.

Aaron doesn't care. There's a kid with a fever in front of him, and this time, nobody is going to stop him from helping.

And if they try…

Well, there was a reason they needed to keep him locked up. The man who can heal anything knows exactly how it all breaks.

An OP MC Isekai LitRPG perfect for fans of Return of the Runebound Professor and My New Life As A Max Level Archmage!

VERY probable AI writing

This books, and the writing in it are probably AI written. The sentence structure, incl. the the short and to the point writing indicate AI interference. While this might read nice to some, it's annoying to me due to the staccato way things are explained. I'd like some flow in the story, not a person that says things in three words or less, which results in short and to the point (like Hourse MD) kinds of sentences.

If you'd like this (or liked this) I'm happy for you, but I think it's lazy, I can't stand it
(physically makes me sick for some reason) and takes away from what a story could be. It might be possible that this author is not AI, sure, but the writing is so similar to other authors to me that the comparison is just there. I got sick of it at the 20ish% mark and dropped the book. While it might be terrific after it, I won't read it due to the writing so far.

OK book if you want a medical textbook/fantasy story

Some authors are getting into a habit of educating us readers concerning their particular loves or interest. Some authors use blacksmithing, gunsmithing ECT. This author seems to be infatuated with the human body. The MC is a healer who actually believes in the hippocratic oath and will not usually take life. I do not know how many readers he will get with this approach he is certainly no battle healer, such as the character in azarinth healer or the count in the healers way. if I really wanted to read about human anatomy, I would get a textbook, there’s plenty of jargon concerning the human body in this one. Some people may like it because it does educate you somewhat, but if you’re looking for plenty of action, a character who does fight and fight to kill you won’t find it in this book. It’s kind of whiny always harping on his 23 year imprisonment blah blah blah. Pick it up you may find it interesting I did not. PS the book needs a good editor as well.

Wow! My flabbers are ghasted. Genuinely this story is insane in so many ways. It truly boils down to what happens when you push a kind person past their breaking point. I cant even begin to fathom the last 50 pages of the book. Jaw on the floor with what Aaron accomplished. Can't say I blame him one bit. Everything he did was for the greater good but also out of purity of heart but without the weakness that sometimes comes with it. I adore Aaron's character. His restraint is something to be admired. The way he teaches everything. But most of all his heart towards all those he couldnt help. Lina and Thale are great characters too but compared to Aaron, they are quieter and fade into the background. For this book, it works. They needed to be background because its not their story. Not their redemption. Not their freedom but his. Aaron. Him breaking the final chains of his imprisonment! 10 out of 10 I would recommend.

Good Book, Zero Brains

This book was fairly good, the writing style is reminiscent of Lamplighter Academy. The world building is passable but unremarkable, the descriptive language is good, the action is likely the best part.

However, around 75% of the way through the book the two main side characters Lina and Thale do something so unbelievably brain dead it made me want to cry tears of fury. Basically, they find a trap door with a seventh circle binding ward and decide, with their strongest ally possibly unable to assist and the fact they are orders of magnitude weaker than whatever needs to be contained by a SEVENTH CIRCLE ward, to investigate even though there is literally nothing stopping them from just carrying out their original plan. Straight up. They try to argue it could be a possible escape route but let’s be honest, it would be easier for them to just fight their way out then try and go down a random spooky trapdoor. For two characters who are so obviously smart to decide that they can take this kind of risk is such blatant plot manipulation it kills me.

But, if you can skim past this section of the book then the ending is epic enough to make up for the generational fumble right beforehand. I probably won’t read book two but book one is worth a try for sure.

My reviews are my own. If you enjoyed this book, I’m glad you did. If not, I respect your opinion, so please respect mine. This is simply my view, so let's keep it courteous. My review is honest and voluntary.

This one sounded like House MD, so I was all in, until the annoying kid appeared. I do not mind intelligent kids in stories, but why do they have to be SO incredibly annoying and impertinent. The author lost me there......I hate characters like that. I feel that they are unnecessary to the story and I thought it was going to be a solo story. Dropping the series.

On to my next adventure, Happy Readings!!!

I generally like stories about healers. And for the most part this one is okay. But this one has way too much medical jargon in it. My eyes sort of glazed over a couple of times.
But for me the story was ok until the very end. I don’t mind a resirection if it’s within a few minutes or so. But he’s bringing back the dead from years ago. And for once there’s no explaining how he regenerated the flesh and brains of the buried or how they got out of the ground.
Also why didn’t he bring back Erin’s mentor?
Then you have the bad guy managing to escape and make it to another big bad.
I stop reading series when the MC becomes basically immortal. But this was ok for a one off book.

sucks to be you

Abducted from earth, a young magical genius grows in a guided cage, until he finds a way to bust out and double-isekai.

A complex story about a second chance in a world of magical geometry and sophisticated biological understanding (when you can scan someone to the molecular level, you know a heck of a lot of medical terms). Also touches on information wars, a nice guy who can be pushed too far, and global magical/environmental systems threatened by calculating archmages.

Awesome

What can I say a protagonist from another world ends up enslaved for twenty three years and his last act of defiance jumps off a 500 foot tower to his death while curing everyone on the continent.
What was supposed to be his death ends up him waking two months later in a field regressed back to the 19 year old he first was when he arrived, the choice does he flee or does he heal people all the while trying to escape his past.
It only gets better and I hope a second book arrives soon as this was a proper page turner.

Absolutely fantastic read.
It was gripping, it had pace and the total satisfaction of an overpowered, great hero.

It also had fantastic side characters, great dialogue and interesting and moving relationships.

I have read a few of those books and this one has to be my favourite - with HWFWM as a close second.

I had plans what to do today, but since I started the book, I have achieved exactly nothing. I have been sitting on my couch and been giddy between reading about how great this book is.

On to the second installment!

This is a fantasy LitRPG series about an Earth guy who is summoned to a fantasy world then is basically imprisoned and forced to become a healer for the rich and powerful. After 23 years of being controlled and abused he finally finds a way to escape. There was very little fighting in this book but a ton of healing. Lots of detailed talk/jargon related to the healing magic system which was really too much for me. Overall it was OK but felt slow and I don't feel the need to continue to reading this series.

Very engaging story of an enslaved healer regaining his freedom

Enjoyed the progression of the story and the detailed physiology descriptions made constant status screen updates unnecessary, which I appreciated. The storyline progressed at a good pase and occasional glimpses of the adversaries were appreciated.

I did not however find the ending credible, where the MC not only healed the infirm and those in stasis, but those who were long dead and even buried too. That's a bridge too far.

I like books about healers but it is hard to find a good book and one where the healer doesn't become a killing machine. This book had a lot of repetition. It even had real repetition like the same paragraph one after another that could have been solved with proof reading once. I can understand why many say it is written by AI. The healing was very much geometric anatomy but okay. MMC had some serious trauma. Serious.

this is the overpowered Litrpg you are looking for.

A whole story in one read. I’m sure there could be a sequel but I have no idea what it could be about. Which is too bad because this story is EPIC. The world building and characters are amazing. The main protagonist is extremely well manifested. The magic system clear and thought out. Great stuff!!

Strong read about the control of resources by the rich and powerful.

This story is good. An abused man, recovery and restoration. This is a story about how those in power can abuse the best of us and make their innovations and techniques unavailable to normal people. Well worth a read.

A great representation of the genre

Original plot and interesting characters make this an excellent 1st installment.
The author is able to grasp the attention of the reader through the whole book with his writing.
Each chapter builds on the previous one and the story progressively picks up until the final and inevitable confrontation.

Return of the Strongest Healer, book one of a series of the same name, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Ohhh, this was a brilliant story line. Loved the character, Aaron, and the way he handles the challenges in front of him. This is a series I'll re-read once all the books come out.

Refreshing and deep

It's been awhile since I have been so fully invested in a book. Although there are some proofreading errors, they surprisingly don't matter to me: the story is that good.
World building: A. Character development: A. Pacing: A. Narrative: A.
I may end up revising my rating to five stars, but I never do that impulsively.

Fabulous

Very exciting and engrossing storyline. Normally an OP protagonist means tension will be low as they sail through everything. Not this book, Aaron is awesome and yet the story still is tension filled, exciting, and pulls you along in its wake.

I can’t wait to see him against the Empress of Night. And I look forward to all the next books in this series.

I like the story

I like the story, a lot. The premise was great and everything, but as I was reading some of the dialogue seemed off. I plugged some of the text in an ai scanner and it said it was ai. If your fine with that, go ahead read it. I prefer reading books without the use of generative ai.

Awesome book!

This is an incredibly well written book and vey u pique and engaging. It works very well as a standalone book but also leaves it open to sequels. The MC and side characters are fantastic. The level of power the MC has is also incredibly fun.

Not bad but not good either

Engaging for the most part. Like many of these types of OP MC stories, the power the MC wields is a bit inconsistent. The biggest issue is the dues ex at the end.

Very good book!

I really enjoyed reading this story. Aaron is a great character. He ends up making friends and having a lot of adventures. The ending set up for the next book. I can't wait to read it!

What a thoroughly enjoyable series!

This story captivated me from page 1 and I don’t want to leave it. It’s refreshingly creative; has lots of action and the characters are extremely well written. I’m eagerly awaiting book 2!

Okay

An enjoyable read. No interest in the sequel, no matter how baited.
Characters are strong, relationships hooked me, the themes were strong. Excessive verbosity led to many skimmed paragraphs.

another ai slopper story

Garbage. Ai garbage. Theft. Slop being churned out to make the dirtbag author a couple bucks by pretending to be an author.

Don’t even bother with this slop.

Another AI sounding book

Started off great. Loved the premise. Then took a downturn after his resurrection into what I’m starting to identify as AI writing. Short, clipped sentences. Loss of human feel to characters. Gravitas to inconsequential details.

Excellent!

Lots of action. Interesting characters with just the right emotional depth to help you engage a little deeper with this finely crafted story. I am looking forward to the next in the series!

Wordy and boring

Only read this story if you have nothing else to read. This story has a lot of words in it, probably to pad the word count and pad the pages. But unless you are like, really into math and geometry, you are not going to like this book.I cannot recommend it

solid

Has its slow patches, its less logical plot sections, but is very entertaining and deals well with a few difficult moral questions. I suspect the author will gloss over some of the crazier repercussions of the ending in the sequel. I look forward to finding out
