I want to start and say thank you for giving me the chance to be an ARC reader. It means so much. Now on the the book of I could give this book more than five stars I would. She had me at the edge of my seat the whole time If I didn't work 2 jobs I would have devoured it so much sooner. She gave us another masterpiece. I love how we get to see so much growth in some of the characters. One of my favorite part so far is getting to see how a race that we didn’t have a lot of knowledge about how they are and getting some answers about why they are the way they are.

Veil of Ruin (VOR) is at the top of my read, read again and again books. I was honored, privileged and humbled to receive an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC). Quinn Loftis once again reminded me of why she is a bestselling author. She deserves every award she has ever received (and it is alot!) and i hope and pray she gets many more, because she is just that good.
VOR is a paranormal romance thriller. I would not introduce a young person to Quinn’s work through this book unless that young person is very mature. It has some dark spaces. Think Lord of the Rings meets Chronicles of Narnia with a touch of Harry Potter and The Neverending Story. It is NOT Twilight nor is it Hunger Games. It is a story with deeper meaning.
VOR is Book 23 published 15 years to the day as the first book, Prince of Wolves. Or Book 32 in the Grey Wolves Series depending on the way you view novellas and the spin off series, Gypsy Healers (GH was a spin off that returned home). They all add to the story arc. But you don’t have to start there. Why? VOR is connected to but not as deeply invested in the earlier books. With a few tweaks, it could have been a stand-alone. On the other hand, once you read it and love it, you’ll want to read up on all of them to understand. You could start with Alpha Rising and read thru to VOR. The main characters in this books – Myanin, Shade, and Gerick (Djinns and Warlock love triangle), Nick and Kara (Werewolf and young Gypsy Healer mates) Wadim and Zara (werewolf mates), Rachel and Gavril (Gypsy Healer and werewolf mates) all have significant roles in this storyline. Trolls are present (fantasy remember). Loftis’ trademark sarcasm, great humor under the most stressful circumstances, quick wit, and battle of the sexes are all present.
Overprotective males and equally overprotective females fuel the laugh out loud moments. Chippendales have nothing on the males in the Grey Wolves series. They are all fine as fine can get.
Evil is also present in far too many places. Vampires roam the earth causing vast destruction. They are joined by other greedy, power hunger supernatural beings. The Nushtonia book is straight up evil…maybe. There is at least one cryptic line in the book that leaves the door open for one of Quinn’s notorious sharp turns.
And let’s not forget the Great Luna. The Creator. I am usually quite annoyed with her, but this time I glimpsed a little more. While reading VOR and seeing the trials, sacrifices, and tribulations of the “good guys,” I discounted the Great Luna and declared she was just Luna because she allowed the warriors fighting for good to suffer. I was reminded the all-knowing creator could see beyond three steps ahead. She knows the ending, the beginning and everything in between. She turns things meant for destruction and harm into something good and precious for each individual and collective.
There are epic battle scenes. Great sacrifices. Alliances are formed. Ancient wisdom weaves throughout. Babies and children drop innocent truth bombs, but it is the love story of Nick and Kara that captures your attention and the love triangle of Myanin, Shade and Gerick that steals your heart.
Peri and Lucian make an appearance as does some of the original humans with at least one drop of werewolf blood. The Warlock Queen (aka Lilly) is more warlock than ever, but we only see a small dose of her power.
This story is well written. I am biased I’ve been lurking in the background since the beginning. When you read the book, you’ll know why. The battle of the ages is coming, and a too young Alpha of Alphas must gather the forces and lead. If you are not part of the face book group, come on over to this amazingly protective, loving, and supportive group. Twenty-three books.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Twenty-three books into a series, and Quinn Loftis is still doing what she does best: creating worlds that pull readers in so completely that they forget they’re reading. She remains a master storyteller, balancing humor, action, friendship, heartbreak, and supernatural chaos with remarkable skill.
I think Quinn has officially decided emotional stability is overrated, and I mean that as the highest compliment possible. Somewhere along the way, someone apparently took away her coffee and hot cocoa (IYKYK 😉) and handed her a giant bag of emotional devastation and a handful of ghost peppers instead. And wow… did she use them.
While this is still very much a YA series, don’t let that fool you. Beneath the wolves, witches, fae, trolls, magic, and ancient enemies lies a story about love, sacrifice, loyalty, hope, and the difficult choices that come with caring deeply for others.
The character growth in this book is phenomenal. Relationships are tested, loyalties are challenged, and long-buried emotions finally demand attention. Every choice carries weight, and the consequences feel real.
One of my favorite aspects of the story is the reminder that no one walks alone. The Great Luna is portrayed not as a distant figure, but as one who deeply loves and cares for her children. That compassion echoes throughout the entire novel and adds an emotional depth that lingers long after the final page.
And then there are the trolls.
Leave it to Quinn to create some of the most hilarious, lovable, intimidating, and heartfelt characters in the entire series. One moment you’re laughing, and the next you’re questioning your emotional stability.
Without spoilers, expect mystery, danger, ancient secrets, fierce loyalty, powerful friendships, unlikely allies, emotional revelations, and enough heartfelt moments to remind you exactly why readers have followed this series for twenty-three books.

Not because it’s spicy, but because Quinn decided war, danger, and chaos weren’t enough. She chose emotional devastation. We’re not quite in Carolina Reaper territory yet, but she definitely wandered deep into Ghost Pepper country and decided to stay awhile.
If you’ve never read a book by Quinn Loftis, I highly recommend picking one up. Veil of Ruin showcases just how much she has grown as both a writer and storyteller. Wonderfully written, emotionally powerful, and gloriously unhinged in the very best way, this is Quinn Loftis at her finest.

One of the greatest strengths of Veil of Ruin is Quinn Loftis's ability to create characters that feel like family. After spending so many books with these beloved heroes, returning to their world feels like reconnecting with old friends, and this installment showcases some of the strongest character development in the series.
What impressed me most was how each character continues to grow while remaining true to who they are. Veil of Ruin is Book 23 in the Grey Wolves series, and if you include the novellas and the Gypsy Healers spin-off series, there are 32 books in this unforgettable world. It has kept me completely invested from the very beginning, and I'll happily stay on this journey for as long as Quinn Loftis continues to create these amazing stories.
One of my favourite aspects of this series is the relationships between the characters. The bonds run so deep that their soulmates are written into their very DNA. This book is filled with magic, danger, witty and strong FMCs, fiercely protective MMCs with a soft spot for their mates, and characters who will face anything to keep their pack and loved ones safe.
With an incredible variety of supernatural beings including werewolves, fae, gypsy healers, warlocks, djinn, draheim, trolls, vampires, pixies, witches, and so many more. Quinn has created a world that feels rich, immersive, and endlessly fascinating. Some characters will steal your heart and feel like family, while others you'll absolutely love to hate.
After 15 years, this series still manages to captivate me, and Veil of Ruin is another fantastic addition to a world I'll never get tired of returning to.

I was lucky enough to be selected as an ARC Reader. Quinn is one of my favorite authors so getting to read any book of hers is always so exciting.
Okay- we just got done with Raja and a certain djinn going crazy trying to be a hero. We also lost someone in the last book and well that one hurt! Then we have Nick and Kara with others going off to find a lost realm.
This books picks right up on how the last book ended. Which I was very happy because I wanted to see how Kara was doing and how Gerrick was holding up.
I would say this book is not my favorite from the series. There’s a lot that goes on and some of it is wonderful and some of it sad. I however felt a disconnect on the bad or on some big things that happened. I wish I would have gotten more of an explanation. Which is why this book doesn’t have 5 stars.
What I did like is that Quinn keeps it real. Not everyone will get a happy ending and some stuff happens because life isn’t fair and there’s no explanation. While I don’t always agree it’s a good reminder we cannot control life and why everything bad or sucky still has to happen even in a book. I loved seeing more of Kara, Wadim and Rachel! The trolls added such a comic but serious vibe to the book that I do enjoy. Specially since a lot of the recent supernaturals we met are all jerks!
Wished we would have gotten the OG crew to have part of this book but I think I missed that this would be focused on Kara.

In my opinion the more Quinn Loftis writes about the wolves, the better the stories get. How can one person love two people the same way? That is a dilemma for Myanin. How does a baby stop chaos from reigning? That a question for Nick and Cara. One thing that is true, no matter who you love or how you came to love someone, if the love is real then the sacrifices that are made will be worth it.
This story line did not have the core group and in a way I'm happy for that because it gave other characters time to shine in their own way. Yes there is still evil causing chaos but there's also hope waiting in the wings. The relationship dynamics are forever evolving between pack mates. This story line did not have the core group and in a way I'm happy for that because it gave other characters time to shine in their own way. Yes there is still evil causing chaos but there's also hope waiting in the wings. The relationship dynamics are forever evolving between pack mates. I have been following Quinn since 2012. Every book she has written for this series since The Prince of Wolves has been extraordinary. She has a wonderful way of weaving the words into a world that readers can get sucked into. That makes us feel as if we are really there. Feeling what they are feeling. Whether it’s joy, love, sadness, or anger. Confusion, heartache and heartbreak. Betrayal and understanding. Unconditional love, longing, and most of all, acceptance of what needs to be done. Sacrifice for those we hold dear. Quinn has had us feel all of this for the last 15 years. She definitely does don’t disappoint us with this next book, Veil of Ruin. I cannot break it down into words anymore as to the depth this book makes you feel as you read it. I highly recommend this book and series. You won’t be disappointed.

Once again Quinn has given her readers an amazing book. Heart wrenching but worth it. This book pulls at every fiber of your being in every page. While some people see book 23 and think that's too many books, Quinns writing sucks you into the Grey Wolves world and you don't want to leave. I have never looked forward to a next book in a series that has so many books. Except this series is a 100% must own every book need for me. Loyalty, love, sacrifice, truths, heartbreak and so many more feelings jump out of these pages and you feel every single emotion along with her amazing characters. Join our Pack and follow all her characters as their lives meld together to join as one.

If you love reading about dark magic, and fantasy then this paranormal young adult fiction novel is the book for you it contains trolls, werewolves, fae and a magical sentient book prison that runs on blood magic just to name a few of the amazing reasons to pick it up.Once again Quinn Loftis has written a book that pulls you in from them very beginning. Her latest installment in the Grey wolf series book 24 is best read in order. However, it is a great read with many interesting twists and unexpected turns wether or not you choose to read it as part of the series.

What can I say!!! Quinn has done it again. I am always waiting on a new book to release, or either reread the other books again. In this book there are only a few main characters, but they are well thought out in their story. It is a little darker than the other books, but still great. This story takes you a few different ways, but they are still tied together. I would recommend to anyone. I am 62 years old and love these books and anything Quinn writes. If you haven’t read any, start from the first and read them all. You won’t regret it.

This is the first book with a warning. Still not sure hoe i feel about it. However i will not rant and rave or focus on that. Quinn, you did it again. This time my heart is happy and shredded. Kara bless her she is definitely a strong one. Poor Nick, he has his paws full. There are some new characters and i absolutely love their truths and spunky personalities. I wish i could say more but i truly hate spoilers and honestly if you have read the grey wolves series up to this point you know Quinn DELIVERS. Looking forward to another adventure!

Book 23 in the Grey Wolves series, still like all other books in the series and spinoff I could not put it down. With every book I am amazed at what new aspect of the world Quinn can masterfully write about and still keep the whole pack in love with the series. Wonderful character dynamics between character we don’t normal see or don’t see interacting with each other. Finally it would not be a Quinn book if there was not a crazy ending that leaves you wanting the next book immediately.

I was given the great honor of being an ARC for this book. Quinn knocked Veil of Ruin out of the ballpark. She had me laughing and crying, yes, this book requires tissues. But as always, Quinn wrote an absolutely amazing book where you feel like you are the characters and going through everything they are going through. Since this is the 23rd book in The Grey Wolves Series, you must start with Book 1 first or you will be lost. Enjoy, I absolutely did!

This book was exactly what I expected from this author. Quinn has the ability to rip your heart out and make you smile as she presents it to you. Myanin and Gerick, Nicki and Kate, all going through trials designed to make you break, but will they? Will love be the what holds them all together, or will it tear them apart? I am eagerly anticipating the next book, and I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it!!

Quinn does it again!
For what feels like the 100th time, Quinn has done it again!! I’m pretty sure I say that same line with every review, because it’s so true. I’ve been reading her books since I was 15 years old and have loved every single one.
Without spoilers, I loved the more mature scenes and how beautifully they were written. Nothing crude but damn if they didn’t hit you in all the feels. I hope she includes more of those in future books.

As always Quinn does not disappoint in her books. Yet another emotional rollercoaster that has left me broken in all the best ways. I really do love each book and eagerly await the next, and of course a cliffhanger as always. The pack have truly become family and I wouldn’t want to never be a part of Quinn’s journey with her books. Absolutely amazing!! Now to decompress and process all that’s happened.

23 BOOKS in this Series!! I can't even believe it!! Mainly because I never want this series to end. Laughter, pain and so so much love. Even after 23 books, I never feel like things are repetitive. This is book 23 in The Grey Wolves Series should be read in order to full enjoy. It’s full of unexpected twist and turns and full of emotions. If you have read one of Quinn’s books before this one is similar but a bit different as well. You will fall in love with it and be asking for more by the end. Looking forward to more books in this series.

A great book as always. I was rooting for Shade and Myannin and happy that they found each other. I love the Great Luna as I can see the parallel with scripture. I’ve read all 23 books in the series and don’t think these books need explicit sex scenes to be successful. Keep on writing great stories Quinn Loftis.

Once again I enjoyed .Lots of action trolls and dark magic .A Dark force is rising and the wolves are trying to get others to join and stand together.So a few go to the trolls to ask for help and omg lend up in predicament in a cage .Karas pregnant and this is where it all starts to get weird for them all .The Trolls guard something.If you want to know more you need to read lol

Amazing story. Myannin and Shade trapped in a death book. Kara, Nick and their group in cages in the troll realm. The king of trolls realizing that Kara and her baby can help stabilize the realm. Amazing story line,. I Can't wait for the next book.

While this was way darker than the rest of the Grey Wolves Series(in my opinion) Quinn still managed to make me laugh, cry, scream and throw my phone. Very well written and the story line was ok but much different than I'm used to with her. It's still a 5 star book. just different.
