Questionable loyalties within the Tin Kin council creates tension among the lower ranks. The search for Pasha comes to an end. And the bloody, violent history of the Tin Kin and Maw tribes begins to be revealed.
I haven't read issue 1 so I don't know much about the characters or what's going on in this world, but it still gave me goosebumps in a scene near the end. I've always loved animal characters so this is something I'd naturally lean towards liking (loved books by Avi, Kenneth Oppel, Brian Jacques, etc. growing up).
Squarriors good, despite all the names (I'm bad at remembering names) and the complexity of the story. I feel like it would need more than 4 issues to properly convey its story, but oh well.
The art is very, very good. I like it a great deal. It's realistic but maintains enough cartoonishness. It's very neat and carefully drawn, with beautiful detail, and the colours work perfectly with the whole.
I really want to find the first issue and catch up, as well as read the rest of the series. Squarriors takes my love for animal characters to a Game of Thrones level, and I like it.
