Let’s be honest I read this book months ago and the entire series lives rent free in my brain!! It was THAT good.
I loved that it included characters from other books and I even held my breath for a potential why choose moment (no joy ladies! Hahaha) Xaden all the way!!!
It’s absolutely acceptable to read them again so soon isn’t it? Lol

Samantha ma’am you truly did yourself with this book. This book was a whirlwind from start to finish and I devoured it in one sitting. This book has a piece of my heart and I’m so thankful that you wrote it.
This book was truly a whirlwind from start to finish. This beautiful book is one of my soul books that it’s part of my heart and soul. This book annihilated my poor bleeding heart, made me laugh hysterically several times, made me bawl my eyes out, made me question my sanity, made me hot and bothered, and so many other feelings. I absolutely love this book so so much and it will always have a piece of my heart and soul because I know what grief feels like to my very marrow.
I love all the beautiful characters in this book from Caspian, who stood by Xaden even after everything he did to him. Carnage who was so loyal to Toren and was willing to help her in her time of need. Toren’s transform so much throughout this series and she finally decided to choose herself above everything. Xaden was so beyond unhinged in this book that I just absolutely fell head over heels in love with him more so than the rest of the books. He did unspeakable things, and I was here for it.
If you absolutely love a book with an unconventional and toxic relationship that ultimately heals to broken souls, then this book is for you. Samantha, thank you so much for bringing this book that has an extra special place in my heart and will always bring tears to my eyes. How do you go from excitement from how Book 2 ending and Book 3 just starts strong then to frustrated, tired and over it? Then to hope and satisfaction? I don’t get it! I was so fed up with this couple and wanted to DNF this book. I was even having a Credence moment screaming at the FMC for choosing the wrong guy. Like you have THE golden retriever of a man and you are passing him by for this unredeemable man. Would I recommend this book? I mean probably. I never knew a hockey mafia romance would get so deep. I did not need that in my life right now but I read it all just the same. And yeah how do you make a hockey romance and intertwine mafia into it? It was well written but also a weird combo. There was a ton of posturing in this series to a point it felt a bit much. I know it was all the character development but it did make it also feel like extra words sometimes that weren’t needed. I am so glad that it all came together in the end. Because as Torens words say- To teach is to learn. To learn is to excel. To excel is to thrive. To thrive is to live. Now where is Carnage’s book? Because this man needs some serious love in his life now because he deserves all the love!!

Thank God we got a recap at the start of this book because I could not remember what happened! 😂
This is the third and final book in the series, and honestly, it was a bittersweet ending. I’ve really enjoyed Xander and Toren’s story. It’s been a very messy situation filled with betrayal, heartbreak and plenty of drama, but they finally get their happy ending.
Now, my thoughts on this book are difficult, purely because of Xander.
I had hoped Xander would do something redeemable in this book and finally prove to Toren that he really did care about her. But alas… that didn’t happen, and he’s still a villain in my eyes. 😂 He’s such a complicated character, and I’m a little gutted by how he acted in certain moments. I probably expected more of a change from him, but I guess that’s just not who Xander is.
Toren, on the other hand, is an absolute badass in this book. She finally put herself first, and despite everything she’s been through, she remained so strong. I loved seeing that side of her.
In all honesty, I wanted Toren to pick Carnage. That man was gone for her, and a part of me wishes she had loved him just as much. 🥺 But I understand that Xander is her person, despite how I feel about him!
Overall, I still really enjoyed this book and think it was a good ending to the series. It was definitely bittersweet saying goodbye to these characters, even if I’m still holding a grudge against Xander. 😂

I want this story to keep going...on and on and on. This is the book I've been waiting on to complete me.
This is the book that wraps everything up. This is the book where Xaden Devlin gets his ass handed to him by a girl. A girl he sorely underestimated time and time again. She gave him the power to hurt her over and over...but at some point, self-preservation has to kick in. And when it does, the power balance shifts and things start cracking his hardened shell.
Xaden and Toren are still at opposite sides of whatever war they're fighting against each other. Neither one of them can hurt the other, not in any meaningful physical way. Xaden can't see past his hate for all things Kellar...even though everyone knows that Toren is innocent of everything she was accused of doing. Xaden just wants to hold on to the hate for the sake of it. He's been living with it for so long, he doesn't know how NOT to lose himself in it.
The Kings are still by her side, trying to fight both the Kellar Cartel and Devlin's Cosa Nostra...but when it comes down to it, Toren doesn't need as much help as she thinks. She has a baby to protect and she does...fiercely. Even from its father. And Carnage is right beside her the whole way. I kinda wish she accepted Carn as her forever...but where's the fun in that? I love Carn...and I want him to find someone to love him all the way, fiercely, intensely, and loudly!!!
In this book, all 3 empires come together to fight a common enemy, CIA Director Fiona Williams who will stop at nothing to get vengeance for her dead brother. She's been chasing Alex, The Butcher, for years...when she can't get to him, she sees an opportunity with Caspian. She dangles the details of the car accident in front of Cas to get his cooperation. His girl, the love of his young life, died in that car crash and he'll do anything to know the truth. But the details never come and Cas starts to break away from being an informant. Before he can, the details come out and Xaden is not happy, to put it mildly. But, in the back of Xaden's mind, he can understand Cas and his actions. That is what saves Cas's life.
Once Fiona is found, the Kellar Cartel has lost its leaders, and Toren is sitting in a burning house, ready to just give up...Xaden is the one to pick her up because she doesn't get to decide when to die. When he carries her out of the building to paramedics, he's freaking out because she's not breathing. Something cracks in him. He goes to torture Fiona instead of spending his time at the hospital with Toren. And that is the final straw for Toren. She's made a decision..she's choosing herself.
Once her mind is made up, she makes it happen. Her new life looks like it's going to be hard but it's going to be all hers. Until Xaden can't just let her be. He finally understands that she's prepared to walk away from him and be the mother her baby deserves. He has a decision to make...the hard choices are never easy but they can be when you let go of the anger and face the grief...teach, learn, thrive, and live. He's learning...
Oh, the tears I cried reading this book. Oh lawd, the emotions were high, low, up, and down. I mean, I'm reading on my laptop at work when I'm supposed to be working and my eyes are tearing up, my nose starts running, and then I have to close the kindle browser for a few minutes so I'm not blubbering at work. But I'm not ready for the book to be done. We need to know how the birth went, the sex of the baby, how Xaden is as a dad, did he and Cas actually get drafted? Ugh. Too many questions that I guess I'll have to use my imagination.
All in all...this is a series that I will read again a year from now and love it all over again.

Well… I stayed up even later than I did for book two, because apparently I have learnt absolutely NOTHING.
The real world did rudely interfere with my reading this time physiotherapy being one of the offenders and after that left my body aching, Samantha decided my heart and soul needed a good battering too.

Yes, we all know Samantha can write the naughty scenes… and believe me, she absolutely does. 🔥
But this book?
This book hurt.
The twists. The turns. The secrets. The grief. The redemption.
I think by the end I needed sedation because I had run out of tears. 😭
And then came the grief.
Samantha… bloody hell.
The way you wrote grief felt like you were speaking directly to me. That description of grief as something that never completely disappears, but instead catches you unexpectedly in the smallest moments?
I felt that. Deeply.
And Toren…
YES, GIRL. YOU ARE THE QUEEN. 👑
Watching her finally choose herself, quietly and with so much strength, even when doing so nearly broke her heart, absolutely destroyed me.
Because choosing yourself doesn’t always feel like freedom.
Sometimes it feels like grief wearing a brave face.
And Xaden?
Oh, Xaden.
The man who started this trilogy as pitch fucking black actually had me believing in a redemption arc I wasn’t sure he deserved.
He doesn’t love gently. He conquers. He calculates. He burns everything down and calls it justice.
But somewhere along the way, Samantha turned the villain into something else.
And honestly?
It worked.
Then we have Carnage.
My brutal, terrifying, walking red flag. 🚩
But underneath all that violence is a man who loves Toren completely and who will always put her needs before his own.
He is her protector in every sense of the word. The kind of man who would destroy anyone who threatened her, but would never try to control her or take away her choices.
Carnage may be brutal, but when it comes to Toren, her safety, her happiness, and what she wants will always come first.
And honestly?
Sometimes you need that particular shade of red flag standing firmly in your corner. 😂
Without Carnage… well.
Just read the book.
I desperately need this man to get his own HEA.

Samantha has apparently already decided he’s the best of them all, and after this book I’m not accepting arguments either. 😂
The side characters in this trilogy have never felt like side characters, and I love that. They became part of the emotional fabric of the story and by the end, I cared about what happened to all of them.
This book was a roller coaster I absolutely wasn’t prepared for.
I laughed.
I cried.
I stared into space.
I questioned my fictional-man choices.
I got emotionally battered.
And then I read Samantha’s author’s note…
And suddenly everything made sense.
Because this trilogy wasn’t just about Xaden and Toren.
It was about letting them become the people they needed to be.
About finding family.
About grief.
About choosing yourself.
About learning that sometimes survival isn’t about becoming who everyone else needs you to be…
it’s about finally becoming yourself.
And Samantha, you absolutely broke my heart with this one.
But you also put it back together.
Just… maybe not in the same place. 🖤
Devlin Mafia is officially finished.
Xaden and Toren got their ending.
And after everything they went through?
They fucking earned it.

Wow!! And I thought book 1 and book 2 had it all.
Just wait till you read the conclusion of Xaden Devlin and Toren Kellar's story.
It's fast paced and full of so many twists and turns I didn't know which way was up or down.
I felt for Carnage, as his hidden love for Toren was there for all to see, but she only had eyes for Xaden.
After all that he did to her and her family, you would think that she would shun him, but love and hate walk a fine line, and even though she didn't want to forgive him, she couldn't help herself.
Hating him and loving him in the same breath, kept you on your toes.
She also was out for revenge, and at the end of this war, Xaden will be on his knees to her, begging for her forgiveness!
Xaden is in denial for nearly the whole book about his feelings for Toren. His little Tink, His Fairy!
And when it comes to butchering her father and brother, in front of her, does he continue on to torture her......lucky for Toren, or maybe unlucky for Toren, Xaden gets interrupted by the CIA and has to make a dash for it!
Deputy Director Fiona Williams has a grudge to fulfil and is determined to get what she wants without any care for who is in her way. And she has her eyes set on Toren.
Lucky for Toren as she enters a new University, Crestview Heights University, she is able to link up with Tatum Lawson, Nova Quinlin, and Vivian Tempest, who are all linked to the Denver Kings and The Butcher.
The Denver Kings consisted of Carnage, his twin brother Halo, Omen, Vatican and Pope.
The Butcher is Alex Denver.
She needs their help to initiate and win the war between The Kellar Cartel and The Cosa Nostra.
She wants to level the playing field.
She didn't realise taking on Xaden would nearly ruin her and end her and her baby's life.
I wanted Xaden to love Toren. So badly, but Then I wanted Toren to love Carnage. Uggghhhhh
I was mixed up ball of messiness by the time I reached the end of this story.
I am sad to see that Xaden and Toren's story is over, but loved the ending, even if my thoughts were divided as to who Toren should choose.

Toren's Mantra certainly started to make sense with all the drama that occurred during the final stages of this story.
Does Xaden get more lip trophies? Yep he certainly does.
And who gets Toren? Xaden or Carnage?
If you haven't started this trilogy and love a dark and dangerous romance, then now is the time to hop on the Toren and Xaden train. You will not be disappointed as @authorSamanthaBarrett takes you into a world that is so unexpected and delivers it with flair!

I wanted Xaden to love Toren. So badly, but Then I wanted Toren to love Carnage. Uggghhhhh
I was mixed up ball of messiness by the time I reached the end of this story.
I am sad to see that Xaden and Toren's story is over, but loved the ending, even if my thoughts were divided as to who Toren should choose.

Toren's Mantra certainly started to make sense with all the drama that occurred during the final stages of this story.
Does Xaden get more lip trophies? Yep he certainly does.
And who gets Toren? Xaden or Carnage?
If you haven't started this trilogy and love a dark and dangerous romance, then now is the time to hop on the Toren and Xaden train. You will not be disappointed as @authorSamanthaBarrett takes you into a world that is so unexpected and delivers it with flair!

NO WORDS!! This book ended in the most deliciously dark way. This is the final book in the Devlin Mafia series, and it is DARKKK. 🖤 It’s freaking unhinged, violent, bl$$dy, packed with tension and angst for DAYS. BUT it’s also much more. The way Samantha writes these characters, their words, their emotions, it all hits DEEP. The amount of lines I highlighted was unreal, there were so many lines that just HIT.
Xaden. He is a red flag burning in the freaking wind! Unhinged, insane, and completely consumed by revenge, convinced that somehow it will finally heal all the things that broke him. But we finally get to see the man underneath it all. The hurt. The scars. The pain he’s buried so deeply. And watching him finally accept his love not only for Toren, but for HIS baby?!
Toren. I LOVED who she became. She stood up for what she wanted, going after the revenge she deserved, and taking on every single one of her enemies. But even with all that strength, and anger, she never lost the soft side of herself. The love she has for the people who matter to her and especially her absolute devotion to her baby. And deep down, no matter how hard she tried to fight it, she knew the truth. She loves this man. No matter what he did. No matter how much hurt stood between them. No matter how hard she tried to deny it. And trust me, I wanted her to love “someone else”. (IYKYK!!)

After the way Book 2 ended, I knew Pucked Around and Found Out was going to be a lot, but I still wasn’t prepared for just how much it!
This book is basically fighting on every possible level. There’s the actual war happening around them, but there’s also so much fighting happening inside these characters. Grief, revenge, control, love, loyalty, family… everybody is carrying something, and everybody has to figure out what they’re going to do with it.
And Tink.
I loved getting to see her really come into her own in this book. She goes through A LOT, and there were definitely moments where I was sitting there wondering if she was even going to make it to the end. Would they let her?
Xaden also has some serious shit to work through. Watching him fight his grief and knowing what his need for revenge have been doing to him was so painful to watch. He loves Toren. We KNOW he loves Toren. The man just has to get out of his own damn way long enough to figure out what loving her actually means, and moving through the pain of the past
And then there are the twists. There’s always twists. But these ones… I didn’t see coming.
This one is definitely not for the faint of heart. There’s blood. There’s gore. There’s death. There are some seriously questionable decisions. There are more lips for Xaden’s trophy jar.
And in the thick of all of it, there’s the grief. It doesn’t disappear. It isn’t something you can neatly put in a box and close the lid on. It seeps out. It gets into everything. And both Toren and Xaden are carrying losses that changed them in ways they haven’t necessarily known what to do with.
There’s something about the way grief is handled in this book that just felt real to me. Loss like that doesn’t just go away because time passes. It stays with you. And watching what it does to both of them made my heart hurt for them in a way I wasn’t expecting.
This was a hell of a way to finish the trilogy.

I was waiting with bated breath for Pucked Around and Found Out after THAT cliffhanger, and I really appreciated the recap before we were thrown straight back into the chaos.
And listen, I love me a pitch-black MMC. Xaden Devlin is still one of my favorite dark MMCs because apparently I am a sucker for a man who is clearly yearning with his entire tortured soul while simultaneously refusing to acknowledge that he possesses emotions.
BUT.
At some point, the whole “I’m going to be the one to kill you” thing started to fall a little flat. Xaden needed to face his feelings eventually, and I wish that moment had come before we were about 80% into the final book of the trilogy. The middle started to drag because we were circling the same emotional battle for a little too long, and then suddenly he was ready to try. After three books of buildup, I wanted that emotional payoff to have a little more room to breathe.
That said, did I still eat this book up? ABSOLUTELY.
I loved the Carnage storyline and his obsession with Toren. I loved watching everything finally come together. And Toren continued to be an absolute badass. The way she can look Xaden directly in the eye and essentially tell him, “Go ahead. Do your worst,” because she knows exactly how far he’ll go and exactly where he’ll stop? I LOVE HER.
And Xaden…my emotionally constipated, morally black disaster. I still love you.
For all my frustration, I think that’s what kept me hooked on this trilogy. Beneath every threat and every attempt to push Toren away, Xaden’s feelings were always there. He yearned. He obsessed. He just couldn’t bring himself to admit what loving someone would mean when loving them also gave them the power to hurt him.
I did enjoy the ending, and YES, we get our HEA, even though there were definitely moments throughout this trilogy where I genuinely questioned whether Samantha Barrett was going to give us one.
My only other drawback was the editing. There were enough typos, repeated phrases, and occasional name inconsistencies that I noticed them while reading, and they sometimes pulled me out of the story.
Overall, this was still a dark, addictive, completely morally questionable ride. I just wanted a little less circling in the middle and a little more time with Xaden finally confronting what had been painfully obvious to the rest of us for approximately three books:
That man was GONE for Toren

What a pucking phenomenal ride! I laughed, I cried, I pondered, I yelled outloud, and I had the urge to throw my kindle. I absolutely fell in love with this this series! This is the final book in the Devlin Mafia Series. You must read the books in order. Toren is still a baddie that is just trying to navigate a world she was thrust into, find herself, and survive love. Xaden is still morally black, bloodthirsty, and confused about how to deal with his Tink. I loved the support, love and protection Carnage and Harper gave to Toren. And the dedication and awesomeness that was Cas. I also loved seeing a lot of characters from other books make appearances. The only thing that could have made this book better was if Toren ended up with Xaden and Carn. But we know there is no way in hell that was going to happen (But a girl could dream)! I fell hard for Carn and just want my baby to have a happy ending (and Cas). Toren and Xaden's story was dark, intense, messy, and ugly. But that epilogue was one of the most satisfying, hilarious, amazing endings I have had the pleasure to read. The only thing I hated about this book is that it is over. If you enjoy hockey, mafia, enemies as lovers, dark characters, spice, and an amazing story then this series is a must read! I can't wait to see where Samantha takes us next. "To teach is to learn. OMG I COULDN'T PUT THIS ONE DOWN!! A COMPLETELY ADDICTIVE READ!!
This is book three and wow it was an extremely emotional one with heavy emotions, suspense, spice, and twists & turns that have you unable to put it down!!
Samantha Barrett always brings those giant red flag waving/morally gray mmc to life like no other and man Xaden Devlin is one of her most frustrating ones yet lol. He makes you hate him at times but then he sneaks in with little redeemable moments that has you giving him forgiveness while still wanting to smack him up side the head as well lol. Let's talk about character growth for just a quick minute because both Xaden & Toren grow exponentially in this book. They are still very toxic at times but as the story unfolds we watch them both come into their own while dealing with numerous threats as they figure out what they really want in life. So be ready because that are a few heartbreaking moments and let me just say I absolutely loved Carnage in this book the way he is with Toren is just chef kisses perfection!! Be ready to dive back into the all the chaos swirling around these characters and become obsessed with them all once again!!
If you have read the previous books then you know this a read responsibly book check those TWs beforehand. A War Between Love and Loyalty
I was scared to read this book because I don't like endings, and I know they say all good things must come to an end... blah blah blah...I still don’t like it. 😒🤣
This is a heavy read from start to finish, with a huge focus on the MMCs working through their shi...stuff 🤣, which gives the book a more intrinsic feel. Unfortunately, I did struggle to pull through this one in parts, as it felt a bit repetitive, but that's just my opinion. And that being said, the plot was still PLOTTING; I honestly sat there at one point and thought to myself, "I've not a flipping clue where this is going to go". 🙃
Tink really came into her own during this twisted tale, and I was cheering on her queen behaviour from the sidelines the whole way; her character growth was definitely a soothing balm to my plot-frayed soul, and I am so thankful SB gave her the arc she did.
Honourable mention to my man Carnage; he was just perfection throughout, even when I did think Tink treated him like 💩. If I'm honest, he has my heart, irrevocably so, and I really hope we see him again; he needs his HEA too!!! 🖤
Now, does our walking red-flag Xaden get his redemption arc? Well, you'll have to read it for yourself.

Once again Samantha gave us pure magic through the written word. If you are looking for Mafia, touch her and xxx vibes, hockey, enemies to lovers and twists and turns that make you wanna scream. Then this trilogy is for you!!! This epic conclusion doesn’t just give you a smooth wrap up with a nice little bow, no no we get twists and turns and new unexpected villains. Samantha Barrett gets you all in your feels in this book. She takes the last two books and what we think we know about some characters and spins them into a new light.
You have Caspian who you think is a major jerk but a ride or xxx for Xaden.
You have Xaden who appears heartless and merciless.
You have Toren who starts out as this underdog trying to find new ground and figure out what is really going on, and end up with a powerhouse fmc ready to xxx for her man.

My heart hurts that this series has come to an end, but DAMN, what a wild ride it was—and it was SO worth it!
Xaden and Toren… man, their love was TOXIC. Especially because Xaden literally did not know how to love her. He had no idea how to deal with his feelings, and he was in complete denial through all three books. This man wanted to unalive her, make her suffer, and somehow still couldn’t stay away from her. 😂🖤
And now we get the conclusion to their story, and it was SO freaking good. SO. FREAKING. GOOD.
After all the secrets finally come to light, can Xaden become the man Toren needs and wants? She knows he has a dark side, but she wants him to learn how to be softer with her. And watching everything unfold between these two was EVERYTHING.

She did it again. I read the entire trilogy in two days. From beginning to end devoured it. The love the hate, the broken the full, the beginning the end, the hurt and the happy. Every twist and turn. Sam did amazing with this series, but with this book alone! Yes! I love the inner term oil in Xaden. Toren giving everything to him. This was a true villain gets the girl love story. To watch him destroy her it broke my heart and had me screaming at him through a kindle. Yelling for Carnage to just win out and have it but still rooting for X the whole time. For being broken by how broken Cas was with love and loyalty and being screwed on both but coming back. I love how beautifully it played out how X chased and was true to Toren. He told her he wasnt perfect but would try just for her. Yes please i love it. Cas got hockey back and put X in his place. X learned to love. Toren learned she is more. Carnage became family. I would read it all over again!

I absolutely loved this series. Xaden will definitely live rent free in my head. They def got in their own way at times but not in the annoying book way that makes you dislike a MC.
At many points I didn’t think Tors ending would be with Xaden. I could have seen her being perfectly happy with Carn. And I wouldn’t have been mad at all 😂 I love me some Carnage!
Torren was a bad ass she learned to work with the cards that were being dealt to her and how to excel.
Xaden could be his own worst enemy he had to truly accept his past to move forward. Easier said than done.
Every time you think you know whats going on YOU DONT if you think you’ve figured out the plot YOU HAVEN’T. read the book and enjoy the ride bc its a great one

This is the third and final book in the Devlin Mafia series and you definitely need to read the first two books in order before starting this one. I really loved that there was a recap at the start just to highlight all of the twists and turns that have happened so far since starting this series because the drama, tension and darkness continues as Xander and Toren's story comes to a conclusion. This mafia series is brutal and you need to make sure that you have read the warnings before jumping into this story filled with red flags, dangerous men and violence. I have mixed feelings about some of the characters and thier choices but can say I absolutely loved Carnage!!! The crossover of characters that have been introduced to readers in previous series really added an extra layer to these books and I enjoyed reading about them again. This dark mafia trilogy takes enemies to lovers to a whole new level and will have you glued to the pages while holding onto the edge of your seat.

The obsession. The danger. The secrets. The betrayal. The body count. The absolute MIND-FUCKERY of it all. 🔥🖤
And the chemistry??? FILTHY. The tension had me clutching my Kindle like it owed me money. Every chapter had me thinking, “for sure it can't get crazier…”

As the final book in the Devlin Mafia trilogy, this one brings all that delicious mafia chaos full circle, and honestly? Samantha Barrett chose violence. 😂

I wasn’t sure where book three was going to take us in this story, part of me thought there may have been a huge plot twist coming but I wasn’t sure as I was definitely still holding a torch for both X and Tor.
But let’s say for two very broken characters who had so much personal trauma, so much anger and were both so frustrating at times this book honestly made it all worth it, the amount of personal growth that was needed from both these characters was definitely there, the strength it took for these characters to work out some personal issues was well written in and honestly I spent a good part of this book sobbing for both of them.
Now I’ve said that don’t think for one moment this book didn’t cover spice, hockey, mafia related activities and oh I did cover spice plus all the drama that comes along with these two well written characters.
I definitely think this book completes this trilogy perfectly.

OMG!! OMG!! What an epic conclusion to this trilogy!! This is a continuation of Xaden & Toren's story & it was AWESOME!! There's so much that happens here; secrets come to light; betrayal is exposed & our girl is in the middle of it all. I was so happy to see her standing up for herself & making decisions on her own, she's had so much growth & damn, she's been through it. Xaden is hellbent on revenge & isn't letting anyone stand in his way; but it takes forever for him to come around, I wasn't sure he would. And poor Carnage!! He's so heartbroken & I hope we get a book for him. It was wonderful to catch up with everyone! Their story will live forever rent-free in my head, they went through so much & I was so happy they got their HEA, it was deserved. Highly recommend this trilogy & this author!

This book is beyond expectations and brought such a euphoric end to this series that you can’t put into words how much you need to read this book.
Starting at the recap and all the way to ‘the end’ my jaw was unhinged, there was times where you cried, times you threw objects at fictional characters and times where you wanted to slap someone silly.
All the emotions are in this book but the best is the growth these two go through in a matter of a short period of time where healing from grief and betrayal are learned and how loyalty and showing up and doing the small stuff can mean more to someone than the big grand gestures.

Pucked Around and Found Out by Samantha Barrett is the jaw-dropping conclusion to the story of Xaden and Toren (Tink). Whew!! Xaden has some MAJOR anger issues…and they are all directed at Toren. He continues to wage his war against her and hates everything she is and stands for. She continues to believe in him and feels that deep inside in someone beyond the hatred. Now, she’s being targeted by someone else, and he has decisions to make, decisions that he can’t come back from once he chooses them.
This story is filled with anger, betrayal, hatred, deceit, revenge, redemption, heartbreak, and so much more!!!! There are shocks that will leave you breathless! Surprises that you won’t see coming!! Samantha Barrett is BACK with a fantastic series that kept me coming back for more!!!!

I absolutely devoured this book! I loved watching Xaden finally come around to his feelings for Tink. They were always there, but for so long, his grief and his need for revenge took priority over everything else.
The way this book ended was better than I could’ve imagined. I especially loved that Carnage was still such a huge part of their lives even after the war. And listen… I would’ve been completely okay if this turned into a why choose 😂😂 BUT I’m glad it was Xaden in the end. 🖤
I also loved that Tjnk and Caspian were friends at the end. After all the hurt and suffering caused by their friends & family, I’m glad they have each other to get through those hard days.

I admit I could not put this book down. It’s a solid 3.5 stars. The first book was 5 stars for me and I am invested in the characters so even though books 2 and 3 weren’t as great I had to finish the story. The writing is very repetitive and the characters have long monologues where they repeat a lot of stuff so I skimmed through a lot of the writing. I will also say that while this story is addictive with the morally black MMC and some pretty solid twists, it is a bunch of tropes all mushed together - hockey, brother’s enemy, mafia, rival families, revenge, corrupt politicians and CIA, ex friends, amnesia and accidental pregnancy. I honestly think it would have been better just deemed a mafia romance instead of mafia hockey because there is like 10 minutes of hockey throughout all 3 books.

She surprises our MMC.
