Frostbound Court #3
Cursed to the Ruined Court: Frostbound Court, Book 3
Everly has her mana back. And it is tearing her apart.
As both sides of her magic war endlessly within her body, surges of power threaten to break her from the inside out. The only anchor holding her in place is Draven—his mana, his presence, his relentless refusal to let her shatter.
But even a king cannot keep the world from cracking forever.
Ancient monsters are ravaging the Winter Court, tearing through villages and defenses alike. The allies Draven once trusted are disappearing one by one, and the dangers stalking Everly are closer than ever before. Draven has already lost the one he trusted most. Now he stands to lose his kingdom or his wife, and the choice may not be his to make.

Genre: Dark Romantasy
⭐️ 4/5
🌶 2/5
🧠 4/10 (Must read books 1 & 2 first)
Cliffhanger: N/A
Noteworthy: Book 3 of a completed trilogy. Dual first-person POV. Triggers for the series including violence and torture. Available on KU.
This series is giving 'I've seen 14,000,605 possible futures and we only win in one' vibes. And that one is sheer hell.
If you like a tormented and broody MMC, a sassy and strong FMC who's been through all manner of horrors but fought her way out, warring kingdoms, monster battles, and plenty of moments that will have you holding your breath, pick up this series!

Well, that was anticlimactic.
This book very much felt like a “fluff” finale book. The first 10 minutes of the book, and the last 10 minutes of the book are the only parts of substance. Everything else (the fluff) is just descriptions of clothing and decorations, whining about poor communication, Whining about mana and really vague sexy time scenes.
Overall the book was just..meh 😑
I will not recommend this series now having read the conclusion. This entire series felt very YA, but it was especially obvious in this final book.

December 22, 2025A beautiful ending to this trilogy, that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, with battle scenes, chasing down more frost monsters and even a little more romance sprinkled in! If you don’t like spiders fair warning but even they added to the excitement of this book!
We pickup right where the last left off with our FMC Everly leaning the truth about her hidden powers and seeking out the dragon to release them and our frost king MMC Draven doing everything he can to protect his wife and his people. As more scarier and stronger monsters continue to emerge from the frost and harm his people, they must look to unlikely allies to save them all! Can the two of them work together and unlock Everlys powers to remove the curse on the winter court, or will the Unseelie and Everlys uncle hinder their efforts even more?
This book really did have me flipping to the next page over and over waiting to find out what would happen. There was action and battles, turmoil and devastating loss, and of course many monsters that kept me on my toes the whole time I was reading. I cannot believe that this is the end of the trilogy I have enjoyed reading so much and while the conclusion of this story is wrapped up nicely I would still love to see more adventures in this court, especially both sisters hopefully eventually finding their own happy ending! Overall I am so happy I read this series and got introduced to this beautiful and magical world these authors crafted! My rating 4.8/5!
Thanks to the authors for the gifted ARC, all opinions given are my own!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This one hit the ground running where the last one left off. I probably could ramble but TLDR? This was the perfect ending to the series. The banter, loooving Wynnie and Batty even more in this one, and that epilogue? 🥹
Favorite quotes
“Surviving until breakfast sounds ideal at the moment. Then, who knows. Maybe I’ll scream a little? Cry afterward? The potential for complete mental breakdown is really limitless.”
“Not every fire needs us to walk through it. Sometimes the real strength lies in choosing not to burn.”

3⭐️’s.. This wasn’t my favorite series and I probably wouldn’t recommend it. Although the first book was good it went downhill with every book after.
When the plot was moving forward I enjoyed it but there was a lot of waiting around in this series. Mostly in their rooms and time spent researching. Too often I was bored waiting for something to happen reading mostly filler chapters that didn’t add to the plot whatsoever.
I feel it would have been more enjoyable as a 2 book series. Spacing it out into 3 books and adding filler chapters made this series boring and a chore to get through.

ughhhhh
So all that slow burn and build up three books and no real HEA or even an epilogue regarding the main characters? While I’m glad we get a snap shot of the likelihood of the Visionary getting her own happy ending. I wanted more steam then one final coming together of the male and female leads and at least one flash forward epilogue to tell us they were married in truth and im choice now and their children perhaps being the final coming together for sellie and unsellie to see themselves both equally represented and loved and Everly to feel contented in the same within herself. Overall slow burn can be often tooo slow and so had held out hope by the end of book 3 that heat would result in at least the flushing out of the characters readers had invested in …I was left
disappointed. While I liked the over all storylines and themes I really don’t like authors hurriedly wrapping up a series that could have very well just been a longer standalone novel. If you’re gonna do a series we are gonna want a full resolution not a final book that feels like it’s missing the last couple chapters.

2.8. Felt way too long winded and like it was missing stuff. Certain problems that existed were solved without addressing them. Liked the ending tho probably the best part

This was... fine. It started out great.
Then I fell flat unfortunately. By book three I felt like the romance should have been "romancing" more. I did not believe Draven and Everly were in love. They barely even talk! I love a morally dark grey hero, but Draven just didn't do it for me. He just kept making bad decisions and blaming it on the war. And Everly never calls him out for this. The lack of communication was frustrating.

UPDATED REVIEW…….
DNF at 65%.
I just couldn’t anymore. I tried hard to make it through but I was so bored. I skimmed through 30 pages and didn’t miss anything. Just moved too slow for me.
…..UPDATE
So, I went back to try and finish it after reading some reviews. I skimmed chapters and CHAPTERS (the last 30% plus more dedicated to the “big war”) and made it to 94%.
I added a Star. It’s not horrible. Just bored me to tears with so much of the book being war. Just not for me.

This was an amazing great final book. The romance was on point. I loved the world building and the finale was explosive. Highly recommend

I loved the ending and the last battle which was on par with four star expectations but 3/4 of the book was so slow and had hardly any forward action or character growth. I need one of those to be four stars. I feel like Draven and our FMC stalled in their relationship growth. Yeah, they got physically intimate but really did not have emotional growth or development because they didn’t communicate and then at the end it just seemed like everything was HEA with no depth. It could have been done so much better.

finished - pushed through for closure
This was a tough one for me to get through. I wanted to DNF more than once, but I was already invested in the characters and felt the need to see how it ended — which is honestly the main reason I finished.
The book is extremely plot-heavy, with a lot of repetition and extended conversations about the same conflicts rather than real forward movement. For a third book, I expected more resolution and momentum, but instead it felt bogged down in explanation and world mechanics. The pacing dragged, especially through the middle, and I found myself skimming just to push through.
That said, the ending does offer enough closure to make finishing worthwhile, and the emotional investment from earlier books carried me through. While it wasn’t a satisfying or memorable conclusion for me, I don’t regret seeing it through.
Overall, this one felt more like obligation than enjoyment, and I’m officially done with the series.

I feel cheated (spoilers)
I just came up on these two ladies and all of the books that I've read from them have been phenomenal, strong female the main characters and great male leads. Now while I love Draven, I was not really sold on Everly. I was really hoping that once she received her mana She would turn into this bad ass heroin, like the rest of the authors, female characters. unfortunately, that did not happen till the very end. She wasn't too bad, but I found her severely lacking. It took me entirely too long to read this book since I have been waiting for it for months I'm not sure what happened, but I'm still a fan. I will still continue to read books from these ladies. They are still phenomenon in my eyes just didn't really like this book. I wish the ending could've been more. Don't let this review. Stop you from reading it you may like it.

Fae/Enemies to Lovers/Mate Bond Dual PoV
SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy): The story is set in the Winter Court of the fictional Fae world where the Seelie are at war with the UnSeelie and the Winter Court is suffering from a curse engendered by its King. Book 1 opens with the FC, Everly, having to appear along with all other marriageable women in the Winter court, at the Palace to see if which will be chosen as bride to the King of Winter, Draven. Everly is chosen as his reluctant bride and immediately married to him. It later transpires that the need for a bride was foretold by the King‘s Visionary and was necessary to save the Winter Court which has been plagued by Frostbeasts whose attacks are getting worse. As the story unfolds across the following 2 Books you learn that the FC was a bastard child who had to leave her mother when she was young and live with her absentee father. She grew up as a Fae who was believed to be a „Hollow“ which is a fae with no power and was tortured by mages when she was young as they tried to force her magic. The relationship between the FC and MC evolves as they learn to fight together for the Winter Court agains the curse it has been under and the threat of the Unseelie and, needless to say, the FC has secrets which are slowly unearthed and turns out to be more than anyone thought.
HEAT LEVEL 🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆 There are some hot scenes although these do not start until Book 2 and they are few. The writing of these scenes is also very broad brush with a lot of implication rather than detail or graphic description. Whilst I am not a great fan of endless pages of unnecessary graphic detail I found these scenes to be a bit too oblique to bring much heat or spice to the story but they did help to show the developing relationship between the MC and FC.
In summary the writing and editing is excellent but for me the story lacked depth and what there was was just too drawn out with not enough action. I was unable to feel any chemistry or strong connection between the MC and the FC, they don‘t even tell each other they love each other 🤷♀️. Their relationship seems to go from ignoring and dislike of each other to apparently wanting to die for each other. There was no gradation and zero romance. There are pockets of action with some violence but it is limited and low level.
Book 1 starts with the reader being catapulted into a scene where the King has gathered all marriageable women in order to choose a bride. There is no reason given as to why or, other than receiving an invitation, what was behind this gathering and then the FC is suddenly chosen and carted off to her room to be married. There‘s no description of who was gathered at the choosing (other than a bunch of women) where they all suddenly disappeared to after the choosing or of any other characters involved other than the MC, the FC and the King‘s Visionary. It was all very one dimensional and lacking context or colour. The Books then progress along a similar theme. Whilst there are some strong secondary characters there is very limited world building or story depth. The story seems to then just progress through multiple scenes of frostbeasts attacking and being fought off with a bit of interaction between the MC and FC. The FC spends the majority of the 3 Books basically confined to her rooms which is very odd and apart from a few staged scenes you get no feel for who else forms the Winter Court, what the other Courts are like or any of the Unseelie other than the skagwings.
There is a villain to the story but he is only introduced briefly with, again, little depth given and then he disappears until the end. The point of the FC’s powers seems redundant and she only actually manages to use them right at the last minute otherwise being pretty much useless despite the MC going on about how strong she was. The only reason for her powers seemed to be as a narrative device so that they could be rolled out for the big climax. The climax of the story, after wading through the prior books, comes right at the end of Book 3. The main villain seems to be dispatched in disappointingly swift fashion and the big battle is more about fighting yet more frostbeasts than there actually being a villain to overcome. The authors also gloss over how the FC and MC live happily ever after considering the impact of her secrets and it all felt depressingly flat.
Overall this was disappointing and could have been better.

"Duty. Love. Sacrifice. All tangled until no one could tell them apart."
I loved this conclusion to Everly and Draven's story, especially the second half of the book. It was definitely bittersweet. Cursed to the Ruined Court has just the right amount of serious, deep and heartfelt moments balanced with great character growth, love and emotional elements, plus a dash of humor. There was growing tension, battles from all sides (and internally), tons of action and monsters, snarky female remarks, and of course the best furry sidekicks! I was elated when Everly finally remembered to read the book about the Skathryn and learned more about her connection with Batty.
Everly's emotions really emerged in this book. Her realization of her found family, through her friendships with Navara and Soren, with her growing love of Draven, of course with her real sister, Wynnie and even Mirelda, was beautiful. She had a profound journey in accepting who she was and acknowledging her emotions (from grief, loss, hate and love), and how they are all so closely related. Two passages in the book related to chaotic and overwhelming emotions were written perfectly: "A storm with no real center.", and "all I had to do was tuck the memory of his final wheezing breaths away somewhere with all the torture and bloodshed and pain I kept in my box of trauma, then let the world keep turning as it would."
Fated to be together, Everly and Draven seemed to be constantly battling outside forces. Thankfully their constant battle against each other lessened in this book. I adored their mental connection. From him checking on her because of worry or concern to their mental banter, it was great. Even when it was muted, it was never gone and they could still feel each other.
I did miss Nevara and Everly's budding friendship. Honestly, I missed them all being together (Everly, Soren, Nevara and Wynnie). Their relationships were still developing and was sadly put on pause too soon. We did get lots of Wynnie scenes, and I love her even more after this book. She was funny and her banter (mostly with Draven) had me giggling.
The whole series is an easy read, is easy to love, with an easy to understand kind of world. And that Epilogue. While the series wrapped up nicely, the Epilogue left me wanting Navara's story!

Reaching the final book in a trilogy is always a little bittersweet, and Cursed to the Ruined Court absolutely delivered on that feeling. As the conclusion to the Frostbound Court trilogy, this book is intense, emotional, and packed with everything I’ve come to love about this world.
We pick up immediately after the ending of Bound to the Shadow Queen, and I really do mean immediately. There’s no gentle easing back in here. Everly is standing her ground in the face of overwhelming power, determined to claim what is rightfully hers. Watching her journey across this trilogy has been incredible, and in this final instalment she’s pushed further than ever before. The question isn’t whether she can take her place, but whether the cost of that power will be something she can live with.
This finale is fast paced and absolutely jam-packed with mana fuelled battles, monsters, and moments of genuine loss. The stakes are high throughout, and I never felt like the action was there just for the sake of it: every fight, every sacrifice, and every difficult choice adds to the weight of the story.
At the heart of it all are Everly and Draven. They fight for each other as fiercely as they fight for their court, and their relationship is one of my favourite parts of the series. The slow-burn romance that Elle Madison and Robin D. Mahle are so SO good at really shines through here, with emotional moments that feel earned rather than rushed. Their connection is tested again and again, and I loved seeing them choose each other despite everything stacked against them.
One of my favourite things about this book was the return of side characters we’ve already fallen in love with. Wynnie and Batty, in particular, remain personal favourites and brought some humour, sass and some heart to an otherwise heavy story.
The world-building also continues to shine in this final instalment. We’re immersed even further into Skaldwing and Frostbeast lore, which is woven seamlessly into the plot, educating us readers without slowing the story down.
Cursed to the Ruined Court is a powerful and emotional conclusion to the Frostbound Court trilogy. It’s intense, heartbreaking, and incredible. Saying goodbye to Everly, Draven and Winter was not easy but, let me tell you, the epilogue was perfection. If you’ve loved this series so far, this finale delivers in every way and absolutely earned its five stars from me.

Review of advance copy received from Author
I was given this ARC in exchange for my honest review and I helped beta this book too!
4.5 stars!
This was my first time being a beta for an author(or authors) so I think it left me with an even deeper appreciation for the story and the authors. Seeing the changes that get made in order for the story to have the right pacing and feeling at every step is truly magical and I think they did an amazing job with the end result.
The beginning pacing of this book was perfectly balanced between the two POVs and immediately sucks you in. Especially with how the cliffhanger from the last book lets off.
The middle of the book calms down a bit but maintains tension with how Everly is struggling with her mana issues and the continuing escalation of frost beasts and a certain characters life that hangs in the balance. And although a lot is going on, this part of the story does feel a bit slower paced with just a few new nuggets of information here or there. It is the reason this book didn’t quite get 5 stars for me but the way all this builds into the final chapters of the book is absolutely incredible.
The amazing climax of the story, the inevitable showdown between all the key players, is perfect. I was honestly scared that wrapping up that much story would feel rushed or incomplete but it absolutely does not. It is impressively perfectly executed. It’s not perfect in a happily ever after kind of way but it’s perfect for these characters and this story. Everly and Draven grow a lot in this series but even more so in these last few chapters. And it’s clear they aren’t done growing. It’s an ending that feels satisfying while leaving the readers with the understanding that life will still be hard and messy for our MCs but that’s what makes it beautiful.
Overall it’s hard to describe this book without giving any spoilers for the series, but your takeaway from my review should be to read this series. It’s the perfect balance of plot to romance, the characters are impeccable, and the vibes are so fun for the wintertime. And the pet sidekicks are adorable and impressive too! As always, these authors give just enough worldbuilding to make me feel immersed in the fantasy world they built without making it heavy on details and just letting the characters shine for themselves. With the short chapters and compelling characters it’s utterly binge-worthy and a fun read!

TL;DR. The book became repititive and about the frostbeasts and more about Everly and her blood-soaked palms, her mana, being seelie and unseelie. The plot was lost and I began to dislike Everly very strongly.
As I read the first book I was very.. intrigued. I had just finished a book where I did not enjoy the FMC, so seeing Everly and her consistent opinion about Draven and his title as the Frostgrave King was very refreshing to see. I was excited to see her life as a hollow queen — and the love blossoming between she and Draven (even if it felt forced.)
Unfortunately, as I have progressed in the series, I have begun to dislike Everly strongly, along with Wynnie (she's just annoying.). Everly was promised to be a strong-minded *woman*, and I was excited to see this — but in the end I was thoroughly disappointed. She became annoying, stubborn, a liar, and constantly digging her nails into her palms to even draw blood?? (what was all about that anyways), and overrall was just not a likeable character. She became your classic MFC: 'the exact thing you would not expect (but would expect because it's the exact same plot line in every other book)', 'a life of misery and suffering (that entitles her to be a total douche)', 'strong and fierce and the most powerful entity and the least expected entity with the least expected heritage (such as being the heir to the Shadow Clan and The Dragon)'.
Is it impossible for a MFC to be a strong woman without needing to be something else entirely – or her secret identity revealed (let alone have one at all)?!?! It's becoming annoying and the exact same thing in every single other book. Where has everyones creativity gone? What's so wrong about a woman not needing to be the most powerful entity out made or simply the least unexpected — plot twists are truly not that important.
The plot I was interested in, I was curious about the kingdom and the struggle to tame the FrostBeasts — until it all became repetitive (about Everly, specifically) and the plot was lost. The book was dragging on and it was soo boring, I just could not find it in myself to even want to continue.
I liked Draven, he was a morally-grey MMC and he was... morally-grey, evil, and inlove with Everly. Not much to say about him; I liked reading his POV, and admittedly, I liked him so much more than Everly.

Ahhhh!!! What an incredible conclusion to this series! Elle and Robin are incredible at mapping out and executing a series that pulls the reader in with an intriguing plot and relatable characters. This book did an amazing job at showing war-time circumstances where neither side is completely right or wrong and the internal and external struggles that come with that. I loved these complex characters and their arcs and the relationships that were built along the way. There were interesting and unique monsters that I have never seen before and more funny animal companions to love! And there was just the right amount of spicy tension! I love how Elbin toes the line of spice without going over it, though I wouldn't mind if they did!
I do feel like there were a couple of times where the pace felt a little slow to me, but it didn't drag enough to pull me out of the story. It also could have definitely been a case of me wanting to know what was going to happen and how everything was going to conclude. I do think that I got annoyed a couple of times by pacing and by Everly not trying to train with her mana, knowing that she was going to be the answer to everything. Then she just busts it out during the big battle when she has the realization that she needed to come to peace with who and what she is, which I think would have been more profound if we had seen her trying and failing to get her magic to work together more, instead of just sitting in her room. I also got a bit frustrated with Draven's unwillingness to try to get his court to see that the Unseelie weren't all bad and to STOP MURDERING CHILDREN AND FEMALES seeking refuge. So while the coming together scene at the end was good and we did get to see some of his internal turmoil on the matter, it didn't feel fully fulfilling to me because there wasn't any action from him to back it up, not even trying to work through it with Eryx. So while all of these things bugged me, I still loved the writing and the overall story and characterization, and everything else was fantastically done!

This was a bit slow at the beginning but it did pick up midway through.
I felt that so much time was spent just sitting in their rooms. She kept mentioning researching but never seemed to actually discover literally anything that was helpful. We don’t see anything for most of the times Draven is off war planing and strategizing with his Lord General. It’s just countless moments of them in their room having nightmares and siphoning off her mana to save her from herself.
She attempted to try and learn how to wield her mana once. One failed attempt and that’s it. But then when it finally comes down to the last battle some how by magic she has some faint memory and *poof* she knows how to wield her warring sides perfectly to finish the battle and feed the kingdom the mana it requires. Sure.
The ending leaves much to be desired. She hands off her title to Zerina and they just was back into the castle. Don’t stay to help with the injured while they themselves seem pretty unscathed besides being a bit exhausted. Seems… rude. Don’t approach any other Unseelie to thank them for their help. Don’t bother to see if everything is all good on the war side. Sure they had a nice speech from twin boy but the impending scary beasts was the main priority.
Batty was by far the best thing in the entire series. Followed closely by Wynnie and Soren. Can’t believe it took her the whole series to finally read the Batty book.
The map could have been better. I mean honestly why even have the other courts on there? Should have just done more detail of winter.
I still give it 4 stars even though I think it needed a bit more to really conclude this story. I hope we see more from this world in another series. There’s almost no mention of the Summer Court at all. Autumn and Spring don’t get much either besides the healer and Soren. I’m curious what life is like elsewhere on the continent.

What a way to end this trilogy! I am OBSESSED!!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The last book in a series always scares me because you literally have to keep up the suspense by simultaneously ending the story for our MCs and Mahle and Madison absolutely nailed it with this trilogy.
"To chosen family. Not the ones you’re given, or the ones you find, but the ones you choose to stand beside when the monsters are at the gates."
This book wrapped up Draven and Everlys story beautifully- somehow still creating that fine balance between blossoming feelings and oh we might be more and this runs deep and simultaneously navigating a life and future together.
"And I could see it so clearly. How he really was the Frostgrave King. The monster that others should fear. And he was mine. All mine. I didn’t want to fight. I didn’t want to spill any more blood. But I would do whatever it took to give him a world where he could be something else for a change."
I really enjoyed how we still had a lot of suspense and backstory too that tied into the whole plot (and characters) so well and also left room for more stories from this world (a girl can hope right?)
Cursed to the Ruined Court kept me on my toes up until the last page and I loved every minute of it!
Such an underrated series that deserves all the recognition.
"Surviving until breakfast sounds ideal at the moment. Then, who knows. Maybe I’ll scream a little? Cry afterward? The potential for complete mental breakdown is really limitless.”

First, if you haven’t read the other two books in the series, I suggest stopping now and checking out those first before reading this one.
If you've read my other reviews of this series, you know just how much I love and adore Elle & Robin and their stories/series. They never cease to amaze me with how they pull you into every single thing that they write and I fall in love with the characters every single time. This series has everything | love. A true Enemies to lovers, fated mates, one bed, touch her and die, animal friends/companions, crazy plot twists and the best side characters, to just name a few. Add in the witty banter and one liners that Robin and Elle excel at and you have an amazing book series.
This last book in the series was so much more emotional for me than the other two. You are thrown right into the action after the cliffhanger of the last one and then on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next the entire time. The main character Everly has grown so much over the past two books and her fierce determination and growth are truly showcased in this last book in the series. Overall this ended up being a great end to another great series, as always for Robin and Elle.
If you haven't read this series yet or anything else they have written. Run, don't walk. I promise you won't be disappointed.
* I received an ARC from the authors in exchange for an honest review. *

Finished my first trilogy of the year and it did not disappoint! Unfortunately, this series set the bar pretty high early on so it will be tough to beat. Fortunately, there is a new standalone coming from the same authors which should give this series some decent competition!
This completed series had it all - enemies-to-lovers, slow burn romance, unique magic system, vicious beasts, epic battles and a HEA ending. Madison & Mahle have become the authors I never hesitate to add to my TBR. I have loved every series I have read so far and I look forward to enjoying many more!
Book 1 - the first book in this series had great world-building, an introduction to a unique magic system, characters to fall in love with and an amazing plot twist that will make you want to jump right into the next book in the series!
Book 2 - the second book gives more insight into the FMC’s backstory along with the fierce protectiveness of the MMC. Once again, the authors use a jaw-dropping cliffhanger plot twist that will have you rushing for the final book of the series.
Book 3 - the final book details the FMC struggle to not only control her newly awakened power but to also find a place and people where she belongs. The series concludes on an epic battle with a HEA.
I highly recommend this series for anyone interested in a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers Romantasy!

I enjoyed it much more than the second book. Everly and Draven get along together more, and he doesn't lock her in her room. And I loved the mindspeak between them.
I'm still not a fan of Draven, though. He's cruel (killed someone for insulting Everly), and his main emotion during the whole book is anger. He's constantly angry and possessively protective, and I wondered what Everly sees in him.
My favorite male character is definitely Soren, who is friendly and knows how to laugh. I absolutely loved the epilogue, which was from Nevara's pov and involved Soren.
The writing is beautiful, intense, and descriptive.
The last quarter or so of the book was brutal. It was war, monsters, and things going repeatedly from bad to worse. I got so tired of the chaos and wanted a break. There was way too much description of fighting monsters and deaths and injuries.

I love this series. Highly recommend.
This book was definitely my least favourite in the series. I stilled really enjoyed it though. We had the angst, tension, love, war and longing.
I think this series concluded really well, especially with the epilogue from Nevara’s point of view. I really loved that. I do hope we get a little novella after this seeing the future of everyone.
I loved how everything wrapped up but I wish we got a more nail biting end section of the book. I felt that throughout the book we had climaxes, especially with Everly half dying. But the end war didn’t hold as much impact and high stakes for me. I just wanted it to be a little longer and more adrenaline rushing and with more near deaths (I sound crazy).
I also wanted to delve more into Everly’s magic. I thought her mana was so freaking cool but I wish we got more time with it.
I still had a really good time with this book. Wynnie cracks me up, and I love seeing Draven and Everly together. I’m sad to leave this world but I would love to see what happened with Eryx and Wynnie. I loved the dynamics of this world and I really hope we get spin offs with different courts or the Wilds.
I will definitely be reading more from this author duo!
