About the author

From a young age, Mia Jones loved to read. She grew up on the stories of Fablehaven, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter and even liked to ditch her ceramics class in high school to read in the library. It has been a lifelong dream of hers to one day create a world of her own.

Mia has a background in marketing and lives in the Bay Area. She loves to learn and travel, and she tries not to take life too seriously. She’s an amateur scuba diver and a subpar adult.

In her free time, she loves to read, hang out with her husband, take photos, binge-watch TV shows, and play pickleball and volleyball. She is a certified soda enthusiast and firmly believes she has mastered the art of making the perfect chocolate chip cookie.

This book was SOOOOOO GOOD!
The way the author broke down each character was amazing. She made you love who she wanted you to. She had complete control in that department. The storyline was absolutely breathtaking. The author wrote to where you could imagine everything as it was happening and step into that world.
The ending wasn’t at all what I had thought it would be. It left me absolutely speechless and reeling.
This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time and will live in my head forever.

I finished Hallows in one sitting. I started it casually and found myself not able to put it down. It was vaguely reminiscent of The Hunger Games and Divergent in certain aspect, while still staying unique and true to itself.

As someone who typically finds it difficult to get past the initial world building in a book, I found this one to be action-packed from the beginning. There was no time to be bored and nothing was without reason. I found myself enjoying the romance and trying to solve the mystery before the main character did — by the time it dawned on me, I was reeling.

I loved the characters and the interworking of their relationships. I only wish I could’ve seen it more in depth because it felt surface level at times, but I do think it was fitting in the context of the story. The literature was easy to read, not overcomplicated and didn’t take itself too seriously. It fit the main characters narrative well.

I have only good things to say about Hallows. I found myself kicking my feet and completely shocked within the span of a few chapters. This was so fun to read and I’m excited to hear more from this author!

I LOVED this book!! It was engaging from the first page to the last and continues to pull the reader in with the many moving parts. The world of Iselda is so fascinating and unique while still being easy to understand because it kind of has a foot in the real world with the fantasy elements making it so different. I loved how each character added depth to the story and to the world. The book being written third person through Dallis Hallows lets you follow her character development and thoughts so well. She’s such a good character that is headstrong but also putting a front to the pain and weaknesses she has. The love story is captivating and adds the perfect dynamic! THE END IS SO GOOD! You never see it coming at the end and it leaves you wanting more! Can’t wait to see more of what Mia Jones writes!!

I loved it. It was immersive and I loved the clever blending of modern reality with folklore. I would definitely rate this book 10 out of 10 I would also recommend it it was amazing and I loved how it sucked me in like The first chapter I was already like this is going to be good. I had already knew that I wasn't going to put it down and for me Im pretty picky on my books but this one raised the bar for me it was amazing.

This book was a great read! Fast paced. Sucks you right in. Makes you want to lock yourself in a room till you finish.

I was getting major Divergent vibes, but with POWERS. Separate houses, that house provides something major for the city, rules you were expected to live by.

Huge plot twist at the end that I did not see coming. My heart broke for Dallis. All she wanted was justice, to better the world, to be loved. But it’s too late.

PHENOMENAL! I was gripped from beginning to end by the action, pacing, mystery, and romance. There was never a dull moment, and the ending had me absolutely reeling! Every scene felt alive, like it was playing out in front of my eyes. While this book tore my heart to shreds, I am in absolute awe of how the story unfolded! Please read this book!!!

The character writing was so well done. This is a definite page Turner . It’s filled with action, mystery, and romance. While I really liked the story I felt the world building needed a slight bit more for me to be fully immersed . I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one.
