It's unfair that Goodreads won't let me rate this as 6/5 stars. If you want a good, easy, sweet, and funny story to read about a cowboy from 1880 falling in love with a private eye in 1980, all while trying to figure out what plastic is and what cars are, then this is the book for you. I wish I could eat it with a fork and knife like a steak.

I'm not much for time travel. Just had a discussion with a very good long time friend who reads romance novels also. Her favorite all time romance is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I tried to read it; still have a copy and quit 150 pages in. Then tried the shows, 3 episodes in and gave it up again. The show is exactly like the book. Nothing is wrong with the book , the story or the writing. I just do not care for TT, BUT I loved this time travel romance. I read the print version back in the early 90's, before Win 95. I remember it to this day (2017) as the only TT that I ever really liked and also loved. It is so funny, always, to have the man come to present day or the future for the historical past. The chemistry between the main characters was the hook that got me. So wonderful, I really enjoyed it. Wish I could have written this years ago but didn't have a computer except at work until 2001.
