Callie has stumbled onto a bad situation she witnessed a killing. She was taking out the garbage and seen a cop with a guy on his knees and shot him in the head. And the cop seen Callie and she seen very clearly. Then two bikers watch her get off work and the next night someone broke into her apartment and trash it and left a clear message by putting a knife in her pillow. That’s when she remembered what her brother said before his last deployment. If she need help get to forsaken and ask for Angel. Angel goes to the gas station after a call that a woman is asking for him. After finding out that she Ryan Mercer sister there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her. But he has so much guilt about he brother he can act on his attraction to her but that will change and then they still have to deal with the trouble come for her. So enjoy the story and see what happens. It’s not a long story but it a complete one. Enjoy!

Callie & Angel’s short, delightful, age-gap romance!

I bought this book on a whim – this is my first one by this author but it certainly won’t be my last – and I am so glad I did. It is a short, cute, light and delightful read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Angel is the Prez of the Forsaken Angels MC in Forsaken, Montana. Former military, as are his MC brothers. Men who bled for their country but somehow were also dismissed by it and created a brotherhood of their own. Callie is the little sister of Ryan, someone who served with Angel and died on duty. Angel always held himself responsible for his brother’s death. So, when Ryan’s sister comes to him seeking help, as she found herself a witness in a crime, helping her was no brainer. But protection turns to so much more, despite the fifteen years between them. I loved every page. 5 stars!

Short but painful

Although this was a short it was very difficult to finish. The writing style made reading this book very tedious. Firstly, there was very little dialogue. I think there were probably less than 20 instances of where people spoke to each other. Instead we got each of the main characters constantly in monologues and what’s worse, they’re not just saying what they’re thinking but doing this very strange thing of telling us what the other person is thinking and feeling. All this just by looking at them.

Secondly it was so repetitive. The author tries to be descriptive but uses the same descriptors each time. We were told so many times that the MMC is a commander of men, built the MC etc.

I’m glad it was a short as I would not have finished it. If the rest of the series is written in the same vein I don’t think I’ll be reading them.

good read

I enjoyed the story. The characters kept my interest. However, It seemed too rushed. It was like a story was told but the reader couldn’t get close. I knew the story: brother died in service; sister told if she needed help she was to find brothers friend who would help her. Brother died in military battle. She found the friend and his buddies. But the reader didn’t get to know the brother’s personality. It was a story told but we the reader was not invited to participate because we weren’t introduced. It was worth reading but it could have been so very much better.

Loved!!! Great start to this series!! Callie is scared, she saw something she wasn’t supposed to see…and now she is afraid. So she does what her brother told her to do before his last tour…the one he never came back from…he told her to go to Angel if she ever needs help. Former military now motorcycle club president…takes one look at Callie and knows he is going to protect her…because she is his to protect. This was a great page turner that I really enjoyed. The story was fast paced and the characters were beyond perfect.

Very short. To the point. A little too much if I am being honest.
Since it's such a short story, you don't get enough of the story. I liked the plot but felt so rushed and like oh we are crying then kissing then crying later and having sex? Who knew tears were so sexy apparently. As much as I was okay with the premise and characters I don't think I'll be continuing the series. So many other biker choices that I think I will enjoy better.

I really liked this. For such a short novella, I feel like it was done pretty well. The writing was really good. The writing was the best part for me. The characters were really good, but I wish we could have gotten more from them. Of course, it's a novella and only 58 pages so I get why we didn't. The plot was interesting and done well. It felt pretty realistic. Overall, I feel like if you go into this knowing its very short and the set up to a series, it's definitely worth it.

Finding Life

Her brother told her to go to him if she ever needed help, so she did. He came to the gas station and told her to follow him. He would do what needed to be done. I read this book with my heart and soul. Thoughtful, compelling and I lived in it. It was wonderful and the ending made my heart smile.

Sable Creed is a new to me author. I picked Angel’s Promise to fulfill a Kindle reading challenge. The story itself is very good. I would have given the story a 4 but personally I think they mentioned the age gap a little too much. The story is quick and has just the right amount of heat.
