Lorenzo is an Immortui, a race of zombies who still have their humanity. He and Louis fight the outbreaks of the Caro Comestores, the other race of zombies who have lost their humanity. When Lorenzo and Louis are sent out for another assignment, Lorenzo meets Kathy. Little does he know how much she will change his afterlife and those around him.

I did love reading this book. I read it in one sitting, which is unusual for me, and seriously can't wait for the next one :)

I felt like the plot moved too fast, and while it is well written and the characters are developed and believable, the reader is still left feeling like there must be more to the book. Transitions are choppy and the main focus is on moving the plot and not so much on captivating the reader. However, for a debut book from an author this young the work is fantastic and shows her natural talent. I believe that with time this author will be one to look out for.

Loved this book, a very fresh new perspective on zombies. Very real, relate-able characters and an all round wonderful read.
