Emotional Opposites Attract Rockstar Romance is another compelling addition to Arell Rivers' Untamed Coaster series, giving readers the story of the band's quiet, mysterious guitarist, Coop O'Shea. Unlike the stereotypical rockstar, Coop has never embraced the sex, drugs, and chaos that often come with fame. He's the calm, dependable one—the man his bandmates turn to for advice, living a peaceful, almost Zen lifestyle while keeping the painful scars of his past carefully hidden. Since the end of his marriage, he's built walls around his heart, convinced that keeping people at a distance is the safest choice.
Enter Nese Dalton, the band's vibrant stylist, who couldn't be more different from Coop. Bursting with energy, confidence, and creativity, Nese has overcome hardships of her own after escaping a cult with her mother and fighting to build a life from nothing. Fashion became her passion, and landing a job styling one of the biggest rock bands feels like a dream come true. When Coop's luggage goes missing during the band's month-long break, she's tasked with helping him build an entirely new wardrobe. What starts as a shopping trip quickly becomes something much more as close proximity forces the pair together and their undeniable chemistry begins to surface.
I really enjoyed that Coop wasn't the typical rockstar hero. His quiet nature, emotional maturity, and grounded personality made him stand out, and it was refreshing to see a hero who wasn't fueled by reckless behavior. Nese was exactly the spark he needed—her warmth and infectious personality slowly pulled him out of his comfort zone while never trying to change who he truly was. Their relationship developed naturally, balancing emotional vulnerability with plenty of sizzling chemistry.
Both characters carry emotional baggage that shapes who they are, and watching them confront their pasts while learning to trust again was one of the strongest parts of the story. Their differences complement each other beautifully, proving that opposites really can attract.
While I enjoyed Coop and Nese together, I never quite fell completely in love with them as a couple. I found myself wishing for a little more emotional angst and tension to heighten the romance and make the payoff even more satisfying. That said, the chemistry between them is undeniable, and the steamy moments absolutely deliver.
Overall, this is a heartfelt, emotional, and incredibly sexy rockstar romance with lovable characters, engaging banter, and enough heart to keep the pages turning. Fans of opposites-attract romances, slow-burn chemistry, close proximity, and emotionally scarred heroes will definitely want to add this one to their reading list.

She's loud and spontaneous and isn't looking to settle down.

Coop O'Shea is the guitarist for Untamed Coaster and has lived a Zen lifestyle for the past 10 years since his divorce. Coop is happy to remain in the background, to offer advice, and let Bennett and Rio take the spotlight. Nese Dalton is the young energetic stylist for Untamed Coaster. Nese is embraces life to the fullest and doesn't do rules or control after spending years fighting for her freedom after spending years in a cult. When Coop's luggage is lost, Nese is tasked with replacing Coop's wardrobe. Coop invites Nese to stay with him when he learns she is paying for a hotel while in LA to help him but regrets it immediately when Nese drags her luggage through his Zen garden. Can Nese get Coop to open up to the idea of updating his wardrobe? Will Coop and Nese be able to ignore their chemistry as they spend time together and share the same house? Will Coop and Nese open up to each other about their pasts? Will Coop get cold feet and push Nese away after he and Nese spend the night together? Will Nese forgive Coop when professes his love? I LOVED Driving Beats by Arell Rivers! Love, love Coop and Nese. These two are a fantastic couple with scorching hot chemistry. Coop and Nese prove that opposites can fall in love and find their happily ever after. Coop O’Shea behaves as the wise ‘older brother’ for Untamed Coaster (UC)—a band that he’s in with his closest friends that has hit the big time. They are on a world tour and have a month off. Coop plans to attend a meditation retreat during that time, but his suitcase got lost during the last leg of the tour. Coop couldn’t care less what he looks like, but the band higher ups would like him to look nicer when they aren’t performing. So they hire Nese Dalton to give his clothes a makeover while they purchase his replacement wardrobe. She’s the band’s stylist and she’s excited about ‘rebranding’ Coop!
At first, they seem very different. She’s clueless when she walks herself and her suitcase right through the middle of Coop’s zen garden (he’s anal about it!). She could shop for hours to pick out one outfit, whereas Coop would rather just order it all online and be done with it. But as they spend time together, they slowly begin to appreciate each other. Coop feels like he has finally come back to life after his former wife betrayed him. And Nese can see the gifts to be had in spending time with Coop and the wisdom that he brings to UC. Deep, emotional, laugh out loud funny romantic story! Driving Beats is the best Arell Rivers book yet!
Opposites attract but these two???
Introverted, introspective, meditation practicing Coop is "the quiet one" of Untamed Coaster. Always the calm one, willing to lend an ear and offer advice and happy to fade into the background, he's chosen celibacy because he is haunted and heartbroken.
Nese is the vibrant, free spirited, sassy young stylist who has overcome a painful past. She's tasked with helping the guitarist she calls "Grandpa" replace his entire wardrobe after his luggage gets lost. She disrupts his Zen garden and his Zen life just by being herself.
Forced proximity, shopping, delicious home cooked meals and a shared love of Lord of the Rings, lead to an unlikely, sweet, healing friendship and to an intense, sizzling, insatiable attraction!
...but, she wants fun and he wants things he never imagined he could. Just as she's starting to want more, he does "the right thing" and breaks both of their hearts. He's back to his books and she's back with her partying roommates, yet the angst of separation leads to...

I really enjoyed that Coop wasn’t your regular rockstar … you know - sex, drugs and rock-and-roll. He was the quiet one and led a simple life. Nese was so full of energy and I knew she would bring him out of his shell. I liked Coop and Nese well enough, I just didn’t love them. Don’t ask me why because I just don’t know. I would’ve liked a little more angst, but the steam was off the charts.

This is another great addition to the Untamed Coaster series and this time the focus is on the band's guitarist, Cooper O'Shea. He is the quiet, reserved member of the group, who the other members go to for advice and support. In this book, we find out more about his back story and get to understand the mysterious guitarist better. When Coop's luggage goes missing at the end of the tour, the band's stylist, Nece Dalton is given the task of purchasing a whole new wardrobe for him. The enthusiastic and fun-loving Nece spends a few weeks taking a reluctant Coop fashion shopping. She is an extrovert and he is a introvert but somehow it works and the chemistry between them is great. They have both had difficult pasts and have been emotionally hurt by other people, so there are many emotions they have to deal with before they can get their HEA. Without knowing it, they are exactly what each other needs. This is a fantastic opposites attract story, the main characters are very likeable. Coop and Nece's story has humour, angst, emotion and was an enjoyable read. I look forward to reading more about the other members of Untamed Coaster in future books.

I really enjoyed Driving Beats by Arell Rivers. One of my favorite things about the Untamed Coaster series is getting to know each band member, and I was so happy it was finally Coop's turn. Coop is the quiet, reserved guy who tends to stay in the background, while Nese is his complete opposite. Watching these two navigate their differences made for a fun, emotional, and surprisingly funny read. Their personalities shouldn't work together on paper, but somehow they fit perfectly, and I found myself smiling through so many of their interactions.
As with the rest of the series, I loved catching up with the entire crew as the story unfolded. Arell Rivers has done a fantastic job creating characters that feel like real people, and each new book adds another layer to the band without losing sight of what makes the series so special. Coop quickly became one of my favorite heroes, and Nese was exactly the person he needed to shake up his carefully ordered world. If you've been reading this series, this is another one you won't want to miss. It's a great addition to your book collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!

Let me say I really enjoyed this book. This one was all about Coop and Nese.The rockstar and the stylist.
This opposites attract read was perfectly set up. Coop our serious zen master, who keeps to himself, needed a revamp and miraculously he's luggage went missing, even though they flew private 😂

OMG . What an emotional rollercoaster that sucks you right in from the very first page and does not let go . I started reading late last night and to say I did not get any sleep would definitely be an understatement. Words cannot even describe how much i loved loved loved Coop and Nese’s story . Sure the chemistry between them absolutely insane - like you could literally feel the sparks 🔥 coming right off the pages . But more then that I loved how different they were Coop being an introvert ( someone who is hesitant to believe in love . And Nese - she’s his polar opposite- outgoing- an extrovert in every way , not to mention so much younger than he is . I loved the progression of their relationship and how well they completed one another. What a fun , steamy , beautiful and emotionally charged love story that will hook you from page one and keep you up reading well into the early morning hours.

The story follows the relationship between Coop O’Shea, the guitarist for the rock band Untamed Coaster, and Nese Dalton, the stylist tasked with taking him shopping for a new wardrobe after his luggage gets lost.
I really enjoyed Nese and Coop’s story. It’s one of my favorites of the series so far. I’d have to read Río’s book again to know which is my number one. As characters, both Coop and Nese were well-developed and relatable with intriguing backstories. It was fun to see how they grew from kind of annoying each other in the beginning to enjoying each other’s company and eventually falling in love. I’m looking forward to 007’s story next in Fierce Beats.

I was so happy that Coop's story was going to be told. I was curious about the introverted guitarist. I knew he had a story that needed to be shared.
Nese was definitely not on his radar. She is a fashionista and stylist for the Driving Beats band. She is a livewire and full of carefree vibes. So, in other words the opposite of Coop. He tries to remain stoic around her, but it's impossible. She is determined to bring him out of his shell. He struggles with having thoughts of his ex-wife. She lives rent free in his head and it's creating a roadblock for both him and Nese to have any kind of relationship.
Coop needs to face his past and look to the future if he wants Nese in his life. This is an emotional story and full of strong feelings, so have the tissues ready. But it also has steam, romance and awesome banter.

Coop and Nese could not be more different. But instead of their differences coming between them it brought them closer. Coop was a follower of Buddhism and into meditation while Nese was a carefree soul who lived in the moment. The more time she spent with Coop, shopping to replace his wardrobe she understood him more. Coop was always in the background letting Rio and Bennett take center stage but Nese made him see that he too should be out there and not hidden in the background.
I loved their underlying chemistry and the shopping experiences. She brought him out of his comfort zone. I loved how he came into his own. Instead of hiding in the background but allowing himself to be seen. To give his heart another chance at love too. Coop and Nese may be opposite but what they truly are are the missing pieces of each other that together makes them whole.

Now we are onto Coop's story. The quiet one. It only take the very outgoing stylist Nese to bring him out of his shell. These two definitely would be two you could not see getting together but fate and lost luggage help with that.
Coop is all Zen and finding peace, Nese is fun an loves some chaos. So you could say that they were the yin and yang in each others lives. Throughout this journey these two take time to both learn to slow down but also open themselves up to new possibilities. Rivers gives her readers an insight to an unlikely match which both have emotional baggage that could impact them finding true happiness. Coop O’Shea, Untamed Coaster’s Guitarist, has always been the quiet introvert that did not take part in the shenanigans that the other members of the band did. Now we learn his secrets. Nese Dalton, the band’s stylist, could not be more his opposite. When the two are thrown together on the band’s break to build Coop’s wardrobe their chemistry comes out and cannot be ignore no matter how much Coop fights it. This is a well written close proximity rockstar romance between two virtual opposites. They both have their own past secrets with obstacles they need to over come. Well worth the read.

Fantastic Rock Romance
This is another addition to the Untamed Coasters series and it is another five star read for me. Coop has always been the introvert of the bunch and lives a Zen lifestyle after everything fell apart for him. Nese is the stylist for the band and when she has to get Coop’s wardrobe up to date two opposites attract. Nese is very outgoing, living life to the fullest which is how she copes with her past. Now together these two make an intense connection no one would have thought with these two age gap opposites.
I couldn’t get enough of their story and the journey they took to get to their HEA. If you haven’t read the previous books in this series, you should do so because this author writes some amazing rock romances.

This is Coop and Nese’s story. I must admit I didn’t think it would just centre around the 4 weeks untamed coaster was having a tour break. There isn’t that much interaction with the other band members compared to the other stories.
The story centres on Nese’s ability to bring Coop into the modern day fashion era and making him see that he doesn’t need to stay in the background of the group. Coop isn’t your typical rock star, he is the one everyone goes to for advice. After a failed marriage his walls are up and prefers the silent zen life. He was never the one to do the typical rock life. Nese is such a fun carefree person, at least she comes across as that. She has a very sheltered controlling up bringing. Since getting out into the real world, she has scrapped and did many jobs to be able to have the carefree do whatever I want lifestyle. Both of these two are so direct opposites, it is what the other needs but don’t realize. Nese and Coop’s story is a wonderful read that is full of humor, emotional, and sizzling chemistry.

Love reading about Coop and Nese and how they end up together. Coop's luggage was lost and Nese who is the bands stylist is ask to help Coop get a new wardrobe . Nese is 24 and the total opposite of Coop who is 31 and thinks that Nese is to young for him but everything she does ends up growing on him. Coop's ex-wife Lillian is in his thoughts and what happen with her is holding him back and Nese what has what happened to her is holding her back too but as they going shopping they end up learning about each other. Love how their relationship grows into love and how this story ends. Look forward to reading the next book in this series Fierce Beats.

Driving beats has just stopped my book slump. I had not been able to get in to a book in over a month and I devoured this in one day.

This feel-good romance had me hooked from the very beginning. It’s a heartwarming story with plenty of chemistry, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely worth reading!

Coop meets his match! The sixth book in Rivers' Untamed Coasters rockstar romance centers around guitarist Cooper O'Shea and band stylist Nese Dalton. He's lived with betrayal and chose to distance himself from temptation by immersing into a zen lifestyle of calmness while she rebelled against the constrictions put on her growing up and enjoys living wild and free. When circumstances lead them to have to intermingle, sparks quickly fly and a connection is born that neither was expecting. They are both easy enough to like and a satisfying love story. I've really enjoyed this entire series!

Wow, just wow! I’ve fallen in love with Nese and Cooper! Opposites do attract and somehow meet in the middle to find an amazing connection. She has had a rough life and has risen above it. Cooper only knew a loving family and is very grateful he has them. She brings out the best part of him, and he in her. Can’t wait to see what happens next, hopefully a marriage in the future. I love the way you bring in all the band members and their significant others. This way we can see what is new in their lives as well.. One big happy family.
