Maggie Lee doesn’t make new friends easily.
That’s probably due to the fact that most people she meets are involved in crimes.

When her dog DeeDee has a meet-cute with another Doberman named Champ, Maggie is thrilled to befriend his owner, Madison.

But their friendship is soon strained when Madison’s husband, NFL rookie, Santana Smith is accused of murdering his baby mama.

Can Maggie and her menagerie prove his innocence before his career and life are ruined? Or have they tackled a job that might get them slaughtered?

Maggie's new case hits home when she's asked to investigate the people who are framing Griswald. She and Nat get closer as they work together and Maggie makes a new friend with a doberman so DeeDee has a friend too. Hi jinks with the menagerie and a dangerous situation makes for a fun mysterious story.

Loved the story, but was very annoyed with all the typos! It should have never been published with all those errors!

I ,ove these stories

Long time admirer of this story line. I was a little bit disappointed with the editing but a great can't put it down story.

unbelievably believable

I love this series. Please take a little extra time on editing. It is difficult to follow when the quotes are missing from much of the text.

A fun addition to a series that always holds surprise and intrigue. A new friend for DeeDee means a new friend for Maggie, and another person added to the "people menagerie" that are the foundation of the series.
I love the way the author keeps the stories fresh by adding in new characters that sometimes earn a more permanent role in the series. It was delightful for DeeDee to make a new friend!
Friendships, family, and loyalty make this series fun and not a dark reading experience. Thankfully these qualities inforce my perceived intentions of the author: to provide a delightful and intriguing story the reader wants to come back to and read whatever the hitwoman faces next! Never disappointing-always a delightful read!

Great story line Totally didn't guess the ending

JB Lynn does it again! The adventures of Maggie and her family furry and human is so much fun it's a quick read It keeps you captivated and I totally didn't expect the storyline ending the way it did sometimes you can feel like you know oh where this is going but not this time so I was excited for the outcome.
So I don't feel like you have to read all the books But their so much fun and they are quick reads it doesn't take days and days and days I feel because I'm wanting to know what's going to happen next.
It's a great mystery without too much Crime and grit.

AI Editing almost ruined the Book!

If the publishers are going to use an AI Program to edit the book, they should run enough tests to make sure it's working correctly. Punctuation marks in the middle of words. Half of sentences changed so they don't make sense. The wrong names used for the main characters. Geez! What a disappointment!!! Big companies always implement new computer programs without doing proper due diligence! Time is money is their mantra. I spent my career fixing program mistakes. Stop and take the time to make sure you're doing your job correctly so that thousands of other people don't have to suffer the consequences. It's disgraceful!

Great story but a lot of typos

This was a very good story It was intriguing and had a lot of twists and turns. I love this series and was glad another 1 came out. The bad part is There are so many typographical errors in it that it's very distracting. I don't know if somebody didn't proofread it or if they're software needs tweaking But this was just really bad. Normally her books Don't have the distractions. I'm purchasing this book anyway because I love the series and I love her writing.

Good book, as usual, but several typos...

I used to love the fact that the books in this series rarely had any typos or misprints, but this one and a couple earlier had a lot. It can be distracting. I am guessing there must be new proofreaders?I

The story, however, is a good one and keeps your interest like the rest. I can always count on these books for my fun reads when I need them.

Good story, but horrible editing

I love this series and every book. This one, though, was a challenge to read! Needs some serious editing work! Wrong spellings, wrong words, missing punctuation, etc.; it felt like it was rushed to be published. I know JB Lynn can do better than this. It also had a very abrupt ending when it came to clearing Brian’s name. Very disappointed in the quality.

Poor Maggie… she just can’t seem to stay out of trouble! Every time you think she might catch a break, another problem lands in her lap. Thankfully, she has family and friends who always have her back. This was another entertaining mix of mystery and humor with a family that puts the fun in dysfunction. I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!

Really enjoy this series

I love the animals and the characters. The mysteries are usually light.

However the editing in this one was probably the worst it's been, and the past several have had errors. The latter half was missing quotations on a lot and it could be hard to follow at times. I still really enjoyed the book but wish the editing was a little sharper.

Madison and psychic visions

Well Armani saved the day in a round about way. I loved the way Armani got Madison an RV to live in on the property.

And honest,y I really thought Rowdy had found the gun and did the shooting. So I will have to see what happens in the next book. Another great mystery!

Great book as always!

Great book as always! Can't believe its been so many and you still churn out good stories with great plot twists. Only thing I didn't like is you need a new editor. Towards the end it looked like Katie was in charge.of the quotation marks and some periods. lol! I volunteer for the job!!!!!

J. B. lynne never disappoints

Enough flirting and a little suspense to make it a great rom com. There's enough family loyalty and comedy with Maggie and her animals to make it a great book for all. You wouldn't want to miss it. It's right up there with Stephanie Plum, and the animals don't die!

Another hit woman triumph!

Maggie meets a new friend at the park who also has a Doberman just like hers. They hit it off but things go sideways when someone kills her friend’s baby mom. Then someone accuses Brian Griswald, Maggie’s aunt’s husband’s nephew of theft. Of course, Maggie’s going to help out!

Fun fun fun

I never tire of these characters. I always look forward to the next book to see what Maggie gets into this time. DeeDee, Piss , Godzilla, Mike, Bennie , Rowdy and the rest of her pets always have her back.

Great read

Highly recommend this book. Story was good, comedy on point, and of course leaving us hanging at the end. O my down side would be the spelling and grammatical errors throughout. But I would still recommend it. Can't wait for the next one!!

Rookies, cookies and laughter

This was a good one. I really enjoyed it. I laughed out loud a lot with this book. The first time I'd done that in a while. Books with a similar theme can sometimes tend to get a little repetitive but this one did not disappoint. Great job JB Lynn!

family

I liked the character Madison and how the family stood together for her. The family usually have differing opinions on how things should go but when it matters they stick together. This is a good story of love and family.

always enjoyable

Another “can’t put it down” book. The series rolls along. Maggie manages to stay out of trouble and may actually find happiness with her man.

Just one thing…spelling, grammar, punctuation …..what happened here! No proof reader?

Love this book series. Not sure this one actually got to an editor. Wrong person's name in a sentence and periods in the middle of a sentence, among other things, is very distracting for me. I wish I could edit as I read lol.

Another winner in the series! I love this series and watching Maggie grow and change through the series. This one odds new characters to the mix - both human and canine. Maggie finds herself in the middle if several mysteries, even as her psychic friend keeps distracting her. This book is full of fun hijinks and mystery and Maggie's menagerie steps up to help
While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.
