Juniper
I came to Comic Con for one weekend away from real life.

I did not come to kiss Captain America.

When the guy who won't take a hint corners me outside a panel, kissing the nearest six-foot superhero seems like a perfectly reasonable escape plan. Especially when he kisses me back.

Behind the costume, Leo is funny, sweet, ridiculously hot, and frankly, everything I’ve ever wanted in a man. He buys me late-night pizza, debates fantasy movies with me, and makes me forget we're supposed to be strangers.

There's just one problem. Leo might be hiding something.

And the more I fall for him, the harder it becomes to decide what's worse—being lied to or realizing I don't care nearly as much as I should.

Leo
Comic Con is the one place I get to be nobody. No family name. No expectations. No people seeing my bank account before they see me.

Then an elf princess crashes into my arms and kisses me breathless.

Juniper is voluptuous, hilarious, and completely unimpressed by everything that usually matters. For the first time in years, I want someone to know me—not my last name.

But every stolen kiss and midnight conversation makes the truth harder to tell.

Because eventually she'll discover who I really am.

And when the big reveal happens, I don't know what scares me more—losing the woman who's become everything or discovering she only wanted the man in the costume.

He wanted to be nobody, until she made him want to be known.

Juniper comes to Comic Con for one weekend of costumes, panels, and escape. She doesn't plan on kissing the nearest superhero to get away from a man who won't take a hint, and she definitely doesn't plan on him kissing her back like he means it.

Leo comes to the convention to be anonymous, just a nerd in a handcrafted Captain America suit with no family name attached. But Juniper sees past the costume, past the charm, and past the easy smile, and that terrifies him almost as much as it draws him closer.

What starts as fake dating turns into late-night pizza, sharp banter, protective comfort, and the kind of honesty neither expects from a stranger. As their connection deepens, hidden truths threaten the trust they're building, forcing both of them to decide whether being vulnerable is worth the risk.

Juniper begins the weekend using humor, creativity, and independence as armor, but gradually learns to trust someone enough to share her fears and hopes. Leo starts out determined to keep parts of himself hidden behind anonymity, yet finds himself choosing openness and authenticity when Juniper becomes more important than staying guarded. Together, they build a relationship rooted in shared passions, emotional honesty, and the realization that being fully seen can be less frightening than facing life alone.

A hot, fake dating, nerdy romance filled with convention chaos, instant chemistry, protective tenderness, hidden wealth, and emotional vulnerability. It explores trust, identity, self-worth, honesty, belonging, and the courage it takes to let someone see beyond the version of yourself presented to the world. It's about two people who meet behind costumes and carefully guarded walls, then discover that being fully known is far more rewarding than pretending to be someone else.

The Elevator Pitch: A cosplay-loving elf princess kisses a stranger in a Captain America costume to escape an unwanted admirer and accidentally collides with the one person who feels impossible to walk away from. Over one convention weekend, fake dating turns into something real as late-night conversations, shared passions, and growing trust uncover the vulnerable people hiding behind carefully crafted armor. But when long-buried fears and hidden truths step into the spotlight, both must decide whether being fully seen is worth the risk of losing each other.

I loved this book, since it has a character from Saddle Creek in it. Plus, although I’ve only ever could afford one Comic Con, these are my people.

Juniper dressed as an Elven Princess for Comic Con and she is struggling to get her luggage closed, in front of her sister, Clover. Their bickering is hilarious. One of her other outfits, is Arwen from LOTR. She made both costumes- hand stitched, etc. Totally impressive. I know what time and effort that takes.

Leo attends Comic Con as Captain America, in the tactical gear. He made all of it himself too. But, before that he was with his cousins, Henry & Oliver. Their bickering and razzing are hilarious. I also want the t-shirt that he is wearing! Learning more about Leo made me love him more. Tech genius and sci-fi buff, that is absolute perfection to me. lol. Leo pretty much had me fall for him immediately. Juniper ‘ambushes’ him with a kiss, just like Clover told her to do because of that creep Eric. Things just click between Juniper and Leo.

Oliver being the voice of reason, at one point in the book, is both hilarious and scary at the same time.

I loved how Juniper handles everything with Leo. They are just so cute and sweet together, that it is like eating candy, but you are reading a book. I love them both, all the more. They are just perfect for each other. I totally want to be their bestie. lol. They are so romantic with each other, when they admit that they developed feelings in such short a time. (My grandfather knew in 3 days that my grandmother was the One.). Things get hot and steamy quickly between them and it was just perfect. The ending was perfect as well, even tho I wanted the book to be longer.

Juniper is trying to dodge a creeper at Comic Con and kisses a stranger, Leo. The sparks are instant. Leo proposes playing the part of boyfriend, and as co-conspirators, they relish getting to know each other beyond the costumes and roles they play at the convention. However, as their connection deepens, Leo is confronted with a lie of omission that jeopardizes Juniper's trust and their deepening connection. Can something that started as a charade survive?

Spoilers:

First of all let me state, I am a fan of Baxter. What justifies a 4 star rather than 5 star review? While I read Book 4 first, I do feel this can stand alone and be read solo. However, one thing I found missing for a stand alone Baxter read is an epilogue. If one reads the series in order, the happily ever after for Juniper and Leo is baked in. Granted that is also the nature of a romance. What is unfortunate is the flashforward could have been pulled off without necessarily regurgitating book four. A great flashforward would have been a future comic con where they design their costume as a couple, or attending with a future family. A full circle moment would have been recapturing the moment where a young girl asks her mom if Juniper is a real princess. Another option would have been circling back to the proposal. Without a Baxter epilogue the ending came abruptly even though I had insights into the trajectory of Juniper and Leo's story.

Princess Arwen Undómiel locks lips with Captain America

All In is the fifth book in the Billionaire Cowboys series by Kat Baxter. This book made me laugh out loud, want to kick some creepy butt, and then swoon hard. The story is about Juniper Hill and Leo West. She is the younger sister of Clover, who found her HEA in the previous book, Give In. The sisters were young when their parents died in an accident, leaving Clover to quit college in order to raise Juniper. Juniper is a sweetheart like no other. She is also a nerdy geek who loves to dress up in costumes she has made and attend Comic Con events. Leo was raised by his father after his mother left. He is part of the very rich West family, who own large cattle ranches and other properties. Leo may have grown up ranching but that is not where his passion and true talents were...those were with computers and programming. His father understood even if he may not have loved it. Leo started his own programming company and has become independently wealthy from it also. The other thing that Leo loves is designing and making his own costumes for Comic Con, where he finds his own people. This year at Comic Con in Houston Juniper is trying to avoid a man she met at the event last year who has turned creepy when she decides to take her sister's advice, kiss the closest hot stranger. That stranger turns out to be Captain America, aka Leo. There are more than a few sparks set-off with just that one kiss between them which leads to more than a weekend romance between them.

I utterly loved All In by Kat Baxter! This charming installment in the Billionaire Cowboys series delivers exactly the kind of feel-good romance I hoped for: witty banter, instant chemistry, and a swoony hero who is far more than he first appears. Juniper and Leo’s Comic Con meet-cute is playful, memorable, and wonderfully fun, setting the stage for a romance that feels both escapist and emotionally satisfying.

What makes this story shine is the way it balances humor, tenderness, and just the right amount of secret-identity tension. Juniper is easy to root for, Leo is impossible not to adore, and their connection grows through sweet conversations, heartfelt moments, and plenty of sparkling romantic energy. I especially enjoyed how the story lets them see each other beyond assumptions, costumes, and expectations.

This book is warm, flirty, fast-paced, and delightfully entertaining from beginning to end. It has the cozy satisfaction of a great romantic comedy with the added fun of fandom vibes, late-night pizza, and a billionaire cowboy twist. Readers who enjoy low-angst romance, lovable characters, and a hero who falls hard will have a fantastic time with this one.

All In is a joyful, swoon-worthy read that left me smiling. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet, charming romance with heart, humor, and irresistible chemistry.

4.25 stars

This is book five in the author’s Billionaire Cowboys series and follows some of my favorite Saddle Creek characters. Leo, our MMC in this book is cousin to Oliver (Until You), Henry (Never Enough), Addison (Ever Mine) and Kelsie (Love at First Write, a Saddle Creek standalone) so this wasn’t our first time meeting him. For her part, our FMC Juniper, is sister to Clover who appeared in the s3xy age gap, Give In, and was already known to us as well. So I said all of that to say this, Ms. Baxter’s Saddle Creek, TX world has consistently been nothing short of amazing fun with a little bit steam thrown in to keep it interesting. This book in particular is full of flirty banter and snappy comebacks; so much so that I zipped right through, enjoying the snarkiness and then, before I realized it, I was finished. It did end rather abruptly but that’s the only negative thing I can come up with and they HAD already stated their intentions so it’s not like I didn’t know what was gonna happen. Anyway, 4.25 stars for its awesome humor.

All In is a wonderful insta love Rom-Com and I loved that the story setting revolves around Comic Con.
FMC Juniper would be spending her weekend lost in the fantasy worlds of Comic Con but wasn’t expecting her elven princess to be so enthusiastically pursued by the guy she’d met the year before now dressed as a Klingon who wasn’t going to take no for an answer.
MMC Leo is a billionaire who enjoys Comic Con for his ability to remain incognito with no worries about his last name attracting the wrong kind of friends.
Their worlds collide when Juniper takes her sisters advice and goes in for a kiss with Leo dressed as Captain America in order to avoid last years mistake who was closing in fast.
Apparently that was some kiss because after explaining to Leo why she did what she did, Leo insists they pretend to be together for the weekend, and what a weekend it becomes!
Nicely written, wonderful characters, spicy, engaging, humorous, and emotional this was a fine and entertaining read.

Loved Leo and Juniper.
Comic con is a happy place for Juniper and Leo.Juniper is Princess Arwen. When she gets to the event, she tries to avoid Eric, who she has been talking to,but after their last conversation, she doesn't want anything to do with him.To get away from him,she kisses the person next to her,Captain America. He kisses her back.
When Juniper Kisses Leo,who is captain America,he has never had this feeling before.
Then he agrees to be Juniper's fake boyfriend for the weekend.
As they spend time together, everything starts to feel real.Leo does not want Juniper to know who he is.He wants her to choose him and not his name.
There is a bit of drama when the truth comes out,but they work through it and get to their sweet happily ever after.
Loved the family support and friendships for both Leo and Juniper. They both have their past issues which brought them more closer to each other.
Another great insta love romance by Kat Baxter.

Cute, enjoyable, fast novella

This is a fast paced, STEM adjacent novella that is cute in a nerdy sort of way that works. Leo and Juniper meet at Comic Con when Juniper is looking for a way to hide from the guy she met at last year’s event. She takes her sister’s advice and kisses a stranger. Leo is immediately enamoured by Juniper and proposes that they fake date for the remainder of the weekend.

Everything about Leo had me falling for him fast. My favorite line came at the end from Leo's POV. “I kiss her before I can find a way to mess up a moment that good with more words.”

Great story when you are in the mood for a lighthearted rom-com. Low spice with just one hot scene near the end with a HFN, this is a perfect addition to the series. Although other characters within the series pop up, it can be read as a standalone.

**Nerdy Cowboy!**

The final book in the Billionaire Cowboys series is titled “All In.” I just have to say that Leo and Juniper are the cutest couple ever! They meet at Comic Con, where they can truly be their nerdy selves in their handcrafted costumes, while also seeing each other for who they really are underneath. Their flirty and playful banter had me giggling as they got to know each other over the weekend.

When Juniper's ex shows up and tries to cause trouble, Leo steps in to protect her, deepening their connection even more. At the same time, Juniper unknowingly stands up to her ex and defends Leo, proving that she sees him for who he is and not just for his family name.

I absolutely loved Leo and Juniper’s journey from strangers to lovers, filled with funny banter and intense chemistry. It's a quick, fun, sweet read that leaves you wanting more and can easily be enjoyed in one sitting.

I love that we got Leo and Juniper's book, especially after seeing their wedding in the book before (Give In) with her sister and his dad. This was an absolutely adorable book and I loved both Leo and Juniper for their nerdiness and how much they both owned it. They were perfect for each other, true best friends and soulmate vibes, and I adored how they communicated. Juniper was so sweet and Leo was the perfect mix of alpha male and reserved at the same time. They were both all in almost immediately and there was no push or pull from either of them. A small "issue" that was resolved very quickly through great communication, and I loved getting the back and forth with his cousins and her sister. I really enjoyed this story! No cheating or OW drama, slight OM drama but it made for a great meet cute, MMC was an "almost" virgin/new to lots of steamy things, dual POV, HEA and a sweet epilogue 3 months in the future. Can't wait for Payton's story!

good story

I like the book it brought back memories of when I was young and did conventions and cosplay. I like how Juniper and Leo meet when she kisses him to hide from Eric. I enjoyed how the story flowed with them spending the whole day together and meeting for breakfast the next day. This is where the story went in a direction I didn’t like and made me loose respect for Juniper. This is my opinion and I’m much older than the characters. I don’t expect someone I met 9 hours ago to tell me their net worth and I shouldn’t be upset when I find out they didn’t. She was still a stranger and had no business expecting Leo to have told her about how much money he and his family were worth. She didn’t even know his last name yet and treated him so disrespectfully. She hadn’t volunteered her info about her trust fund. I felt she became judgmental for no reason. I’m glad she did finally listen to him, but that an old woman’s opinion.

All In is book five of the Billionaire Cowboys, and actually showcases Leo and Juniper's romance before their wedding in The Brides Older Sister (Clover and Heath's story).

❤️ Instalove
❤️ Interlinking Characters
❤️ Interconnected Standalone

All In is book 5 in the Billionaire Cowboys Series and features Leo & Juniper. Let me start off by saying I am in NO WAY an expert on Elven Princesses or anything Comic Con related, but I adored this book. Juniper is quirky, funny, loves a good color coded spread sheet and a top notch costume designer. Leo is a cross between a Clark Kent and Captain America and I was here for it all!

While trying to avoid creeper Eric, Juniper takes her sisters advice and kisses a cute stranger, Leo. Their story was fast paced, filled with humor, nerdy puns, a protective alpha, a kind hearted heroine, shared love of cosplay. They were completely loveable and the fact that Leo waited so long for his person after building up his walls was exactly what the story needed.

I am dying to get my hands on the next book in the series.

This was such a sweet sweet read.
Leo is sweet, smart, nerdy, and extremely rich. He likes to escape a few days a year to attend comic con. There he can just be himself without his fortune being a factor. When a beautiful stranger kisses him his weekend got a lot more interesting.
Juniper loves comic con but this year she is a little apprehensive. She met someone last year and getting to know him through texts proves that he is a creep. To avoid him she kisses a handsome stranger.
The more Leo and Juniper learn about each other the more interested they become.
Leo is so sweet to Juniper and treats her with the respect she deserves. Juniper is so real, down to earth and just plain fun. No wonder Leo is such a goner.
Great read.

This was a really enjoyable novella, just like the author's other books. Leo is a little different from the rest of his family. Even though his father is supportive and his cousins always have his back, growing up as the "nerdy" one in a family of ranchers has made him self-conscious about who he is.

When Leo meets Juniper at Comic-Con, he feels an instant connection. She's just as passionate about comics and geek culture as he is, making them a perfect match from the start. Their shared interests make their relationship feel natural and believable, and it was fun watching them connect over the things they both love.

Overall, this is a sweet, heartwarming novella with lovable characters and a charming romance. It's a quick, feel-good read that left me smiling.

“All In” by Kat Baxter

-This is a fun, fast-paced addition to the Billionaire Cowboys series that details Leo and Juniper’s adorable love story before their wedding. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Their Comic Con meeting is charming, filled with humor, instant chemistry, and plenty of lighthearted moments that make this romance impossible not to smile through. Leo is a protective billionaire hero with a kind heart, while Juniper is sweet, quirky, and completely lovable. Their shared love of cosplay and the Comic Con setting gives the story a fresh, playful feel, while the emotional moments and just a touch of drama add depth without slowing the pace.

If you, like me, are not a fan of unnecessary angst then this is the book for you. It’s sweet and funny and a little bit spicy. Both the main characters are delightfully likeable and communicate with each other the way adults are supposed to.. with humour and honesty. There may be a bit of an omission on Leo’s part as far as his background, but he owns up to it quickly. And Juniper is honest with her disappointment, but doesn’t let it get in the way of her getting to know Leo better.
The meet cute is just that, and sets the pace for the rest of the story to be an enjoyable read that will leave you with a smile on your face.

My favourite in the series!

As a self-confessed nerd who loves conventions and cosplay, Leo and Juniper were my favourite couple in this series. I loved their connection and that the story was set over the course of a con.

Favourite Quotes:

At Comic Con, my LEGO shirt is just a shirt. Only there people will get it and laugh. My people are there. Thousands of them, strangers who are not quite strangers, who all know the language and speak it fluently and don’t need it explained.

“He made it himself. Did you hear that part?” “I did.” “Do you think he used his own f*reskin?” And that’s when I realize I’m pretty sure I’m falling in love with this woman.

“I’ve waited a long time for you. I want to appreciate it.” “You have my permission to fully appreciate me,” she says.

Short And Sweet
Both Juniper and Leo are excited to show their self-made costume at the three day Comic Con. When they run into each other their attraction is immediate and sweet. And stays that way. Complication is the guy Juniper spent some time with the year before. Leo has been burnt by his mother and his high school girlfriend, who both were more interested in his family’s money than the guys they were with.
This is not a very long story, but one that is extremely romantic, full of fun, with charming characters. Loved it!

All In is so adorably cute! Leo and Juniper have instant chemistry and their meet cute? Haha! Yes! Leo is alpha protector and unapologetically himself in every circumstance, and I love that he acts respectfully no matter what pushes his buttons. Juniper is kind and quirky and a perfect match for Leo in every way. Their weekend together is beautifully built by the author, with the drama mix and the emotional moments highlighting who these two are separately and to each other. This is a quick and funny read filled with heart.

A Destined Instant Connection -
Juniper and Leo’s romance story was a fun, fantasy cosplay romance story, that is sure to hit the spot for anyone who has ever wondered what it would be like to have a partner dressed up as the sexiest movie hero with all the muscles you have ever dreamt about. The story was a really amazing read, especially with the unique Comic Cons theme, the interesting way the characters got together and exciting storyline. This book is a definite must read whether you are a superhero fan or not.

Leo's brothers have found their loves and he has stayed away from relationships for many years. Being from a wealthy family has some negatives on how others relate to you. He loves going to Comic Con as an escape and goes as Captain America. Juniper goes to comic con every year and works on her Elven costume for months preparing. She needs to avoid a guy she met the previous year that has turned into a jerk, so when she sees him headed toward her she turns and kissed Captain America. Leo goes along with the fake relationship to help out but they click and are spending all their time together. Who knew he would find his soul mate that weekend.

'And when the big reveal happens, I don't know what scares me more—losing the woman who's become everything or discovering she only wanted the man in the costume.'

Juniper is a big fan of the comic con and the universe around it, but unfortunately she met some guys who are more into fetish or creeps. To avoid the one she met the year prior the elven princess kisses Captain America and he proves to be the opposite of the men she used to meet, but he carries a secret.
Leo, aka Captain America is a sweetheart but comes from a rich family and the whole universe, he enjoys just being himself, but the feelings for his elven princess are real ones.

Juniper goes to Comic Com for a weekend to escape everything. There is a man who won’t take no for an answer and since he’s not taking the hint she kisses the nearest super hero. Leo is there to escape his family name and money. Juniper and Leo are both hiding pieces of themselves. Slowly they open up with full honesty to one another’s this fake dating romance is full of chaos; instant chemistry; hidden identities and emotional vulnerability. The two learn together how to be authentic. The thing that I loved about this book is the cosplay dynamic. This is an incredible read and addition to the series.

Leo and Juniper have a meet cute at Comic Con and I fell in love with them! The witty banter between the couple and with their family members had me laughing. With the way the author wrote, you could just imagine their costumes. Loved that their meet cute was due to Juniper grabbing a good looking man and kissing him to avoid a creeper from last year’s conference. Little did she know that it would spark and instant attraction. As they spend time that weekend together, Leo is nervous about telling Juniper about his wealth until the cat is left out of the bag.

This is book 5 in the Billionaire Cowboys series and holy hotness we have Leo West story. Leo goes to comic con and gets kissed by a stranger who was hiding from someone, but when sparks fly between them will his secret destroy her trust and feelings for him? Juniper is at comic con and hiding from Eric who turns out to be a creep, but when she kisses a stranger, can she finally meet her soulmate? It was such a great story and you could connect with the characters emotions throughout the book like you were apart of the story. I throughly enjoyed this book and didn't want it to end.

A charming fast paced romantic romance when Juniper Hill goes to Comic Con as an elf princess, and when she sees her ex-boyfriend, she turns kissing the hottest man near her, which was superhero Captain America, Leo West. After, the kiss they decided to stay together and enjoy the festivities. They only ever exchanged first names not thinking last names were of importance. They were more into getting to know the person, they were with instead of anything, they might read or hear about the other.
