4.5⭐️ this was actually so good HELLO?! A paranormal romance where the humans have been wiped out by the vampires and werewolves, yet our HUMAN FMC has been in hiding until the alpha hybrid finds her.. OH I WAS SATTTTT. This was genuinely a good enemies to not so lovers with so much hate on both sides, omg.. i was questioning HOW THE HELL IS THIS EVER GONNA WORK AFTER ALL THIS?!? But i do see some groveling happening and i love a good grovel.. so we’ll see. But, then when you add in Kole… at this point i hope this turns out to be a why choose LMAOOO. I also want to applaud the writing because i was genuinely hooked on every word and didn’t want to put this down. Fallon as a FMC was so strong and im such a stan, I truly love me a baddie FMC and she may have been human but she was NEVER scared! LMAO. I love. The friendships, the yearning, the povs of Thane and Kole at the end of each chapter, please, THEN THAT ENDING UM HELLO?!? I’ll be back for book 2.

This paranormal romantasy will pleasantly surprise you. It is set in a dystopian world where vampires and werewolves rule, and humans are supposed to be extinct. Right from the start, it feels different from anything else I've read, and I love that.
The story features a strong FMC who finds herself in quite a predicament but never shows weakness or gives in to the fear she may be feeling. It's spicy in the best way, with a slow burn and yearning that had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails!
There's a wealthy MMC with fangs who falls first and makes it clear to everyone that if they touch her, they die! This book had me squealing and kicking my feet.
I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good love triangle, spice, mystery, werewolves, and vampires.

Wow wow wow! My first ARC and I’m thoroughly impressed. The character building, world building, and plot were all amazing and I had such a great time reading this. If you love vampires and werewolves or paranormal romance, this book is for you! The ending has me wanting more and I hope a second book is written soon! 4⭐️

4.5 ⭐️ but rounded up! This CURED my month long reading slump. It’s like if twilight, souls in ruin, and the wolf king had a baby in the best way. The FMC is such a badass and the dark enemies to lovers just hitttt.

This book! I don’t even know how to put into words how good it was. For someone who loves ACOTAR, Fourthwing and TOG it was top notch. I had every emotion you could think of. You cry one moment then laugh. Then get mad but laugh again. You know it’s a good book when you talk to yourself throughout the whole book and stay up way too late to keep reading.
I hate cliff hangers but I also CANT WAIT to get my hands on the second book!

The beginning was a little slow for me, but around the 30% mark I became fully invested and ended up flying through the rest of the story. This is a dark romantasy with vampires, werewolves, a strong FMC, and a love triangle that actually kept me interested.
The FMC was one of my favorite parts of the book. She’s capable, stubborn, and isn’t afraid to make difficult choices. There were a few moments that made me cringe from secondhand embarrassment, but those reactions were definitely more of a personal preference than an issue with the writing.
As for the romance, readers should know this is very much a love triangle. One relationship is built on slow-burn chemistry and tension, while the other is much more immediate, spicy, and chaotic. The two MMCs felt distinct from one another, which helped keep the dynamic interesting.
The world-building is fairly surface level, making it easy to jump into and follow without feeling overwhelmed. While readers looking for deeply layered fantasy worlds and complex political intrigue may want more, I found it incredibly bingeable and easy to get lost in.
What surprised me most was the emotional impact. There was one scene that genuinely brought tears to my eyes, and by the end I was fully invested in the FMC’s journey.
For me, the biggest strength of this book was how addictive it became once the story got moving. It reminded me of the feeling I had while reading the Insatiable series—not because the stories are similar, but because both are the type of books where you keep telling yourself “just one more chapter.”
Overall, Fated Grey wasn’t a perfect read, but it was a fun, addictive dark romantasy that kept me turning pages and left me interested in continuing the series.

I went into this book completely blind, and honestly, the beginning caught me so off guard in the best way. At first, it felt more like The Walking Dead or I Am Legend than a paranormal romance. The world feels abandoned and eerie, and Fallon surviving completely alone for 3 years made the atmosphere feel so heavy and isolating. Those opening chapters immediately pulled me in because you can feel how hard and lonely her life has become, and it made me desperate to understand what actually happened to the world.
Then the story completely shifts when Fallon is captured by the Alpha and taken back into civilization, except it’s a civilization run by werewolves and vampires. Watching her try to survive in a world she doesn’t understand was one of my favorite parts of the book. Fallon was such a strong FMC too. She’s fiery, rebellious, stubborn, and refuses to just fall in line, which made the dynamics between her and the MMCs so entertaining. She constantly pushes back, and I loved that she never lost that fight in her.
The slow burn and enemies-to-lovers tension had me completely hooked, but what really made this stand out to me was the plot itself. It felt different from the usual paranormal romance, and every time I thought I understood where things were going, something else happened that pulled me in even more. I kept telling myself “one more chapter” and suddenly half the night was gone.
And that ending??? Ugh! I had a slight feeling about where it was going, but did not expect that. Now I’m sitting here needing answers immediately because there is no way I can wait long to find out what happens next. Also, I’m officially and unapologetically #TeamKole.

I have genuinely been obsessed with this book since I started!
Our FMC, Fallon, is so badass! I was not expecting her to be that way because she’s literally a human surrounded by supernatural beings. I loved that she never backed down from anyone, especially Thane. I also loved that even 70% in my girl still just wanted her independence.
Thane, Thane, Alpha Thane… he drove me nuts sometimes but in the best possible way! I loved his chapters, I ate up getting to read him struggling with his feelings towards Fallon. One of my favorite parts in the book was when he takes her on a run to scare her and she doesn’t get scared at all. The Sophia situation really irked me.
Please do not get me started on Kole 😭 he was my pick from the start! I loved the connection Fallon had to him, he is more grounded and level-headed compared to Thane who is hot-headed. I love me some Kole, he’s the better brother!
I’m so excited for book two and can’t wait to see where the story goes, I know it’s going to kick off with a bang and I cannot wait!

I genuinely could not put Fated Grey down.
The premise immediately pulled me in—a world where vampires and werewolves have taken over and humans are nearly gone. Following Fallon as she navigates a world completely changed around her gave the story this almost post-apocalyptic feel mixed with the paranormal/fantasy elements I love. There was always another question or reveal that made me need to keep reading.
I also loved Fallon. She’s stubborn, strong-willed, and unwilling to simply accept this new world or the people in it without questioning everything. After everything she’s survived, her reactions made sense, and I loved that she didn’t lose that fire just because feelings started getting involved.
Her friendship with Sienna was another favorite, and I really enjoyed the short POVs from the men. They gave me just enough insight into what they were thinking without pulling the story away from Fallon.
And Thane and Kole… I’m refusing to choose. 😂 They bring completely different things to Fallon’s life, and I love what each relationship brings out in her. Thane has some redeeming to do after the way he started, but watching him slowly begin to earn that redemption made me even more interested in him.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between Fallon, Thane and Kole!! Kole is more affectionate and Thane is more possessive. Warewolf Vampire shifter romance need I say more!! This was a great read with lots of spice and I definitely can’t wait for the next book!! I devoured every page of this book!! Chefs kiss Rachael!!

✨GIVE ME THE SECOND BOOK LIKE YESTERDAY!! ✨
what a book!!! i fell into a slump of fantasy books for about 4 months now and this one got me out of it!! that book as a whole was fantastic, i genuinely LOVED this book the world building was incredible and i loved the characters even more!! i finished this book in 2 days but i MADE myself stretch it because i did not want it to end!!! i found myself at 3am telling myself i needed to go to bed but i had to read just one more chapter!!!
fallon is such a strong FMC ( which i love!! ) she everything you want in a fight back FMC and the story line behind her hits hard in my chest and her trials along the way to get where she is now even with everything she had to deal with after meeting the MMC’s , the slow burn enemies to lovers tension had me in a total choke hold, and the klous vibes i got from the thane oh boy🥵🥵and Kole boy i normally love my book men like thane but i had myself loving kole as well!! the way he is with fallon just gave me in a choke hold 😅

Okay first of all… if this doesn’t turn into a why choose, I may riot 😂
I genuinely had such a fun time reading this. The world-building was immersive without feeling overwhelming, and I loved slowly uncovering how everything worked alongside the characters. There was a really good balance of mystery, tension, emotion, and romance that kept me wanting to read “just one more chapter”. So I did! I finished it in 24 hours!
The characters were what really sold me though. Everyone felt distinct, and the dynamics between them had me fully invested. I’m already attached and desperately need more interactions, more backstory, and honestly just more of all of them. The chemistry and tension were SO good.
I also loved the atmosphere of the book. It had that addictive fantasy feeling where you finish a chapter and immediately want to dive deeper into the world. And including the character inspo photos was such a nice touch — it made the reading experience feel even more immersive and personal.
Overall, this was such a strong start to a series and I’m genuinely so excited to see where the story goes next. Thank you for letting me be part of the journey 🤍
I genuinely had such a fun time reading this. The world-building was immersive without feeling overwhelming, and I loved slowly uncovering how everything worked alongside the characters. There was a really good balance of mystery, tension, emotion, and romance that kept me wanting to read “just one more chapter”. So I did! I finished it in 24 hours!
The characters were what really sold me though. Everyone felt distinct, and the dynamics between them had me fully invested. I’m already attached and desperately need more interactions, more backstory, and honestly just more of all of them. The chemistry and tension were SO good.
I also loved the atmosphere of the book. It had that addictive fantasy feeling where you finish a chapter and immediately want to dive deeper into the world. And including the character inspo photos was such a nice touch — it made the reading experience feel even more immersive and personal.
Overall, this was such a strong start to a series and I’m genuinely so excited to see where the story goes next. Thank you for letting me be part of the journey 🤍

I have read numerous vampire, werewolf romance/fantasty books… none have been like this story. The premise is so unique, with Fallon being the only *know* human left, surviving on her own instincts and will to live. The hybrid that finds her, Thane, keeps her as a pet, wanting to inflict all the suffering that vampires & werewolves faced from humans before eradicating them off the face of the earth, onto Fallon.
I LOVED the dynamic between Fallon and Thane and the parallel to Kole (Thane’s brother). I was enthralled, reading hundreds of pages at a time. Rachael created a universe that I want to visit time and time again, and I cannot wait to see where the next book goes. I found myself rooting for both MMC’s, though I had an extra special place in my heart for Thane. I love how stubborn, strong and sassy Fallon is, her character is so complex, and her background truly creates her character where we see her.
Overall, a very fast-paced, dark, steamy and unexpected read. Loved it!

Fated Grey completely pulled me in from the very first chapter. The author has such a strong ability to tell a story and instantly grab the reader’s attention. This post-apocalyptic paranormal romance was intense, emotional, and impossible to put down.
I loved watching the relationships and tension evolve throughout the story, especially the true enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Fallon, one of the last humans left, was such a compelling character, and the chemistry between her, Thane, and Kole kept me hooked the entire time. Thane being a hybrid werewolf/vampire alongside his half-brother Kole added so much depth and intrigue to the story.

Thank you so much to author Rachael Staudt for letting me ARC read Fated Grey. This book sank its claws into me from the very beginning and never let go. The possessiveness of Thane mixed with the tenderness of his brother Kole made for the most delicious love triangle, and I found myself completely invested in every interaction. The spice was fantastic but never overshadowed the plot, which I always appreciate in a fantasy romance. The slow burn was absolutely brutal in the very best way, and the tension and angst were executed so well that I felt like I was living right alongside these characters. Every emotional moment hit exactly as it was meant to. This is a true enemies-to-lovers story wrapped in a captivating dark fantasy world, with a newfound family element that added even more depth and heart to the journey. The relationships, the conflict, and the emotional stakes all came together beautifully. I have to start by saying thank you to the author Rachael Staudt for sending this to me! This was the first ARC I’ve ever signed up for and I can say it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! This book completely consumed me from the very first chapter. Every time I thought I might have things figured out, another twist came out of nowhere and left me reeling. The suspense of it all never let up, and the pacing kept me turning pages long past the time I should have gone to bed. The book was full of push and pull tension, impossible choices, and enough chemistry to keep me second-guessing my own feelings toward each character. Even the emotional push and pull had me invested in every interaction. And that ending?! I am absolutely devastated in the best way possible. The cliffhanger was brutal, and the thought of waiting for book two feels like pure torture. If you love books packed with unexpected twists, angst, romance, and edge-of-your-seat tension, this one is an absolute must-read. Five stars without hesitation!

Werewolves and vampires? Yes please! I enjoyed every second of reading this book. I couldn’t put it down. Living and serving on her own in the woods in a world ruled by werewolves and vampires, Fallon finds herself the pet of a hybrid. Marked as his and pulled towards him as a result of the bond, Fallon despises Thane. Then there is his fun, sweet half brother Kole, the vampire. She struggles to trust him and doesn’t t know if she can believe he truly cares for her. Sienna, a werewolf, has become her closest friend and once Fallon excepts the bond, she is afraid to believe that this is her new life. After everything in life has solidified that nothing stays the same and she eventually will lose everything good in her life, Fallon is afraid to hope for the future. As the bond between her and Thane begins to grow due to the mark, her feelings for Kole start to make themselves known, a tragedy strikes and Fallon ends up injured and in the hospital. That cliffhanger has me needed the next book immediately.

I received this book as an ARC. This book is a completely different vibe than her other series, but she still nailed it. I loved the post apocalyptic vibe. The universe with wolves and vampires was in my opinion very unique . This book’s FMC Fallon had the authors signature sassiness which I eat up and also FEISTINESS which I am completely here for. Some of the things that happen in this book are completely unhinged which had me turning the page to see what was going to happen next. There were also some scenes that had me kicking my feet as they were so swoon worthy. I also loved the side characters in this book- they really added to the book. I won’t say whose team I’m on as far as MMC (Thane vs Kole) but I’m guessing it will be an unpopular opinion 🤭 though I won’t be mad if she ends up with either… hopefully both 😅👀🫣 . I can’t wait to read book 2 to see who she ends up with… also the book ends on quite a cliffhanger that I didn’t see coming! Highly recommend!

It was one of those books that I simply could not put down. It was beautiful chaos wrapped in the most intense slow burn, and I loved every second of it! The tension and angst had me begging for more, and I just couldn’t get enough. The spice never overshadowed the plot, and I found myself constantly switching between Team Thane and Team Kole because they were both equally delicious in their own way. I absolutely loved watching our FMC, Fallon, grow throughout the story and begin to overcome some of the trauma from her past. The banter was spot on and, at times, had me audibly gasping! I am so glad this is going to be a series because I cannot wait for the next book. I need to know what happens next! If you love dark fantasy, do yourself a favor and read Fated Grey immediately!

Okay so I rarely rate books 5 stars but I absolutely loved this story. It gave me all the tropes I love especially the enemies to lovers and supernatural themed. One of my all time favorite TV shows is The Originals and this book gave me the same vibes. Could not put this book down. You have a human young woman who's just trying to stay alive after vampire and werewolves take over the world. It's dangerous out there. Her worst nightmare happens though and she ends up kidnapped by the one and only hybrid. Life becomes a challenge but she refuses to submit. She also meets the hybrids brother who happens to be a hot vamp. Life is definitely no longer boring. I truly loved the suspense and the slow burn and the angst. The only thing wrong with this book is it ends way too soon and of course on a cliffhanger. I can not wait for the next book.

Ugh….i am a sucker for werewolves and vampires but this was rough.
It had potential and I stuck it out cause I was wanting to see were the story was going but around the 50-60% mark I started skipping all inner dialogue and just reading when characters were speaking to one another. It lacked in world building..it’s just simply repeated over and over the last war and they took over but you don’t have any sorta structure to the world…werewolf books typically have the alpha and beta and so on and there’s a standard theme to how it operates…but this was just like Thane is alpha to all and that was it..you rarely saw other characters and I honestly found the FMC so annoying and the bestie even more annoying.
I’m also not a big fan personally to love triangles and that’s not really apparent upon first look into this book.
So yeah no good world building and poor character building for how big this book is…

Let me start off by saying: almost everything that happened, I called. And I'm not even mad about it. I don't mind when I can guess what's coming, I'm just happy it happened the way I wanted it to happen.
This book is a vibe. Definitely more character-driven than plot-driven. It's giving Stefan and Damon energy, and I'm hoping this ends in a why choose... let me tell you, there aren't many books where I actually want that. This is one of maybe three I can think of.
Thane is a bit of a dick, but watching him have to almost submit to her and stop being a jerk? Amazing. And Kole, ugh, love Kole! I knew they were love-locked from the beginning and it just got more solidified the more I read. Honestly I think Thane and her are soul bonded, which is kind of sad, but it makes sense. Though if she ends up love-locked with both of them, I'm cool with that too.
No idea when book two's coming out, but everybody needs to read this one.

I am literally speechless. I loved this book. I loved the characters and the story. I loved how well Miss Rachael described everything. The way she wrote each character is amazing I loved how each one is different but similar in their own way.
I can definitely say I can’t wait for this story to continue. I enjoyed the true enemies to lovers. I enjoyed her relationship with Thane and Kole. I really appreciated how she gave us all of the POV it made the story even better. I hope she gets everything and has an amazing HEA.

When I first started the book I was so invested in finding out how that HUGE event was going to play out. I did not expect that outcome. This book is so well written and I love that it’s in two parts. I laughed, I cried, I got mad and I enjoyed every moment of it. What a great book!
The explosive interactions between Thane and Fallon in this book are top tier enemies to lover expectations! This fmc is a menace in the most glorious and genius ways. I laughed so hard. And then got sent into a page eating frenzy after she did something. And then you have Kole who just works like a perfect fit to a puzzle. I can’t wait to get more of these characters.
I love a good ended! And that ending has me marking this book in my journal because the moment book 2 comes out my schedule needs to be cleared!

Fated Grey had a really rough start for me. The scenes where Fallon was treated like a dog and even forced to eat dog food were honestly difficult to read. I know it was meant to show how cruel and dehumanizing her situation was, but it was so disturbing that it almost made me stop reading.
That said, I’m glad I kept going because the story became much more interesting as it progressed. The world-building, the supernatural elements, and especially the character dynamics pulled me back in. By the end, I found myself completely invested in Fallon and Kole, and I’m really hoping their relationship develops in the next book.
Overall, while the beginning wasn’t for me, the second half redeemed the story enough that I’m curious to continue the series. I’m looking forward to seeing where book two takes Fallon and, hopefully, Kole.
