Wow wow wow! My first ARC and I’m thoroughly impressed. The character building, world building, and plot were all amazing and I had such a great time reading this. If you love vampires and werewolves or paranormal romance, this book is for you! The ending has me wanting more and I hope a second book is written soon! 4⭐️

I went into this book completely blind, and honestly, the beginning caught me so off guard in the best way. At first, it felt more like The Walking Dead or I Am Legend than a paranormal romance. The world feels abandoned and eerie, and Fallon surviving completely alone for 3 years made the atmosphere feel so heavy and isolating. Those opening chapters immediately pulled me in because you can feel how hard and lonely her life has become, and it made me desperate to understand what actually happened to the world.
Then the story completely shifts when Fallon is captured by the Alpha and taken back into civilization, except it’s a civilization run by werewolves and vampires. Watching her try to survive in a world she doesn’t understand was one of my favorite parts of the book. Fallon was such a strong FMC too. She’s fiery, rebellious, stubborn, and refuses to just fall in line, which made the dynamics between her and the MMCs so entertaining. She constantly pushes back, and I loved that she never lost that fight in her.
The slow burn and enemies-to-lovers tension had me completely hooked, but what really made this stand out to me was the plot itself. It felt different from the usual paranormal romance, and every time I thought I understood where things were going, something else happened that pulled me in even more. I kept telling myself “one more chapter” and suddenly half the night was gone.
And that ending??? Ugh! I had a slight feeling about where it was going, but did not expect that. Now I’m sitting here needing answers immediately because there is no way I can wait long to find out what happens next. Also, I’m officially and unapologetically #TeamKole.

Okay first of all… if this doesn’t turn into a why choose, I may riot 😂
I genuinely had such a fun time reading this. The world-building was immersive without feeling overwhelming, and I loved slowly uncovering how everything worked alongside the characters. There was a really good balance of mystery, tension, emotion, and romance that kept me wanting to read “just one more chapter”. So I did! I finished it in 24 hours!
The characters were what really sold me though. Everyone felt distinct, and the dynamics between them had me fully invested. I’m already attached and desperately need more interactions, more backstory, and honestly just more of all of them. The chemistry and tension were SO good.
I also loved the atmosphere of the book. It had that addictive fantasy feeling where you finish a chapter and immediately want to dive deeper into the world. And including the character inspo photos was such a nice touch — it made the reading experience feel even more immersive and personal.
Overall, this was such a strong start to a series and I’m genuinely so excited to see where the story goes next. Thank you for letting me be part of the journey 🤍

Fated Grey completely pulled me in from the very first chapter. The author has such a strong ability to tell a story and instantly grab the reader’s attention. This post-apocalyptic paranormal romance was intense, emotional, and impossible to put down.
I loved watching the relationships and tension evolve throughout the story, especially the true enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Fallon, one of the last humans left, was such a compelling character, and the chemistry between her, Thane, and Kole kept me hooked the entire time. Thane being a hybrid werewolf/vampire alongside his half-brother Kole added so much depth and intrigue to the story.
While this book definitely felt like a buildup for what’s coming next, it only made me more excited for the sequel. I’m really hoping we get a true reverse harem and that Fallon finds her HEA with both Thane and Kole because the connection between them all is undeniable.
The world-building, character development, and slow unfolding of the story were done so well. I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

I am literally speechless. I loved this book. I loved the characters and the story. I loved how well Miss Rachael described everything. The way she wrote each character is amazing I loved how each one is different but similar in their own way.
I can definitely say I can’t wait for this story to continue. I enjoyed the true enemies to lovers. I enjoyed her relationship with Thane and Kole. I really appreciated how she gave us all of the POV it made the story even better. I hope she gets everything and has an amazing HEA.

I already loved The Smoke and Shadows series by Rachael. So I was so excited to find out she not only was working on book 3 for that but a whole other series.
Fated Grey immediately pulled me in. I kept thinking “yeah totally know where this is going, I understand” to constantly be pulled in to “oh wait, hold up. I gotta read just one more chapter” just so I could know what was going on. I HAD to know. I finished this book in a day because I could not put it down. The cliffhanger it left on makes me immediately need her to start working on book two.
This book has enemies to lovers, slow burn, great characters, strong sassy FMC. Such a great read.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Fated Grey and I was not disappointed! This book was phenomenal... it gave me The Originals (Klaus and Elijah) vibes with a mix of The walking dead (without the zombies though).
I loved our FMC she was stubborn, strong willed and didn't back down one bit from the monsters that took over the world!
I've never been a huge fan of love triangles but Rachael has a way of writing them perfectly that draws you in and keeps you yearning for both of our MMC'S!
I will definitely be continuing this series and can't wait for the second book to see where the story goes because THAT CLIFFHANGER.. 😱

Omg!! I loved this book. Like I could not put it down. Now I will say that I did step out of my comfort zone for this book and it did not disappoint. I was hooked by the first chapter I read. Fallon was just on fire. I’ve never really read a book where the FMC acted like her. I loved it. It was refreshing and new. I was shocked/suprised by some scenes and I like that. Don’t come for me when I say this but I feel this was better than the empyrean series. Thank you Racheal for this amazing book. I will definitely be buying more from you 🤭

The FMC is spicy, quick witted, and head strong! The MMCs- you have one that’s going to be hard to love and the other who you immediately like. The story line is different from anything I have read. It’s a dystopian where the FMC finds her self surviving in a world ran completely by werewolves and vampires. BUT THE WRITING!!!! The writing is so beautifully done that she enthralls you within the first pages and keeps you hooked to the last few words. I like this one so much I went and bout a few other of her books!!

If you are looking for a TRUE enemies to lovers with a love triangle that makes you question your morals then you need to pick this book up! It has vampires, werewolves, a post apocalyptic yet semi normal setting that somehow all works and flows very smoothly. The ending has me soooo eager for the second book I cannot wait!!

This book! I don’t even know how to put into words how good it was. For someone who loves ACOTAR, Fourthwing and TOG it was top notch. I had every emotion you could think of. You cry one moment then laugh. Then get mad but laugh again. You know it’s a good book when you talk to yourself throughout the whole book and stay up way too late to keep reading.
I hate cliff hangers but I also CANT WAIT to get my hands on the second book!

Are you kidding me???? I am yet again BLOWN AWAY!!! Rachael knows how to capture her readers and keep us enthralled! I am sooo thankful I got to be an ARC reader for this book. The tension, the lust and the anticipation of what comes next. I freaking love this book! It’s from the FMC point of view, however, we get insights from both(yes there are 2 MMC) points of view. I got a copy of this as an ARC and I had no idea what I was getting into but i absolutely loved it. Rachel has a gift for writing slow burn FOR SURE. This book had m guessing every chapter what was going to happen next. The ending was such a cliff hanger but not in an expected way. The dynamic between Fallon & Sienna is the absolute cutest. I got a ARC of this book and this was a infinity star read for me! I absolutely love this book and can’t wait for book 2! Thane and Kole are both 🔥 Thane is the only hybrid in existence and he is definitely giving me Klaus vibes. Kole is a vampire but he’s so caring to the FMC. Sienna is the perfect best friend that Fallon needed. Fallon lived a hard life as a human and now she’s finally being shown what she deserves. Ugh book 1 isn’t out yet I have no clue how ima wait for book 2!

Wow! This book had me form page one. I didn’t know what to expect but I can tell you it did not disappoint. It has werewolves, vampires, hybrids, and one human left in the world. The three main characters are Fallon Grey, Thane, and Kole and that triangle is torturous mess. There are fated mates, love linked, and a whole lot of crazy going on. There are two very big surprises at the end that made my jaw drop! This is a must read! I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

I have so many thoughts about this book. I love the characters , the dynamic , the storyline , and every little thing in between. Fallon is fierce and holds her own in a world she feels like she doesn't belong. There are two MMCs and I am honestly dont know who I love more. This book does leave on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what's in store for Fallon.

Absolutely loved this book. Started and finished in 6 hours, I could not put it down. I love how at the end of each chapter you get a glimpse of what the males are thinking without it making the book way longer. It’s both point of views without repeating itself. It’s leaves on a cliff hanger and I’m already so excited for the next book!

Check the trigger warnings. This book had me in an absolute hold. I finished it within a few hours. It had me laughing at loud at some parts, I cried, I was angry, I felt all the emotions. It was like a good cop bad cop in some scenes. Thane and Kole the mmcs, Fallen fmc were amazing and well written. I could feel the connection between them. I loved everything about this book.

Fallon only wanted to be wanted to survive but her captor just wanted her! Vampires and werewolves, building tension, lust and desire-this is a Twilight/Walking Dead/ Adult Beauty and the Beast mash up only add super hot, steamy scenes!!! I couldn’t put it down! I don’t know who is hotter…Thane or Kole?! 🤤 I did not anticipate the twists and will eagerly await for the next part!

When receiving this book, I knew that Rachael would NOT disappoint, having read her Smoke and Shadows series. The main character, Fallon, has survived by relying on her instincts; and when faced with changes to her life, she responds in a way that a courageous human would. Not just blind acceptance. There's hurt, trauma, survival instincts, and street smarts that have kept her alive and guarded. Which are balanced by the need to be loved, accepted, and fear of the unknown.
And while there is a slow burn, the tension and teasers certainly held my attention. Fated Mates has elements of a dystopian world, paranormal characters, teasers, and a cliff-hanger ending that dropped my (and the characters) jaw!

*REVIEW FROM ADVANCED COPY” I DEVOURED this book! I love the story, the concept, how it is more real time than most fantasy books are. The TENSION among all the main characters. And the ending? PLOT TWIST. I cannot wait for book 2. This is easily a top 5 book I’ve read so far this year.
