this books shares a lot of the qualities that Underwood's pathology has, but is sufficiently detailed to be a main general pathology text. the author does a great job integrating general pathology and how it governs systemic pathology. the only downsides i've observed with it is that it's a decade old and there isn't a dedicated systemic pathology section, but then that was never intended to be included by the authors.
