2 books1 followerI write romance with plenty of heat, heart, and a few moments that make readers fan themselves. Love has always fascinated me, and I’m a firm believer that a good romance should leave you swooning, smiling, and definitely blushing.
My husband proudly served in the military, which is a big reason I gravitate toward military and elite-operative heroes. I’ve always had an overactive imagination, but he was the one who finally pushed me to turn those daydreams into books. Once I started, I never looked back.
Building characters, creating worlds, and diving into their stories is my favorite part of the process. Whether I’m writing an intense mission in the desert or a slow, steamy burn in a small town, I want every romance to feel rich, lived-in, and worth the ride.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me with a chai latte in hand, riding horses, or daydreaming about new story ideas. I’ve lived by the ocean, in the desert, and up in the mountains, and each place sneaks into my books one way or another. And for reasons I can’t explain, even though I love the ocean, whales absolutely terrify me. Love them from a distance. A very long distance.
I write with humor, heat, and a soft spot for protective heroes who fall hard and love even harder. If that’s your kind of romance, you’re in the right place.

I am really enjoying this series so far and Torch was a great sequel to the first book. I really loved so many aspects of this from the suspense to the relationship dynamics. And as much as Torch/Ryan messed up in this, I was even okay with the lack of groveling. Let me explain.
Torch starts off the relationship rocky. He fails to reach out to Olivia for 10 days after getting her number. So once he does, he's all apologies and "never doing it again." It was a rough start, but they worked really well together as a couple even while Olivia was not disclosing the fact that she had a stalker and her deceased husband was a Marine. But leave it to a man to mess up again. Ryan does and then we have a significant amount of time in the book with which, the stalker suspense plot ramps up for Olivia but Ryan and Olivia don't interact whatsoever. A lot of this book is spent apart and it just didn't help with the pacing. This is almost 600 pages and it just felt slightly on the side of too long.
When the couple is close (at least physically if not emotionally) the story moves at a fast enough pace to keep it interesting. There were just times in the interim that they were apart and dealing with their own emotional baggage and hang ups that it felt slow. There isn't really much groveling in this, which is my preference to an MMC goofing, but I do like how the couple finally began communicating so it made up for the lack of crawling.
This is a great read. Maybe not as good as Ghost but still an excellent installment to the series.
