Ivy’s plan for surviving the apocalypse was simple: get north to the bunker her parents built and try not to get eaten on the way.
Then she tried to steal fuel from the wrong man.
In hindsight, throwing gravel in Fox’s face probably wasn’t her smartest decision, but panic makes people creative. Or stupid.
Now she’s trapped in a camper with a grumpy ex-soldier who barely speaks, sleeps with a rifle within arm’s reach, and seems to regret offering her a ride more with every mile north.
Ivy can survive the dead. Fox is another story.

I absolutely loved this book especially with it being a grumpy x sunshine, the spice is unreal and the character bond development is amazing, it really felt like a fast pace slow burn especially when you think of the timescale for the characters as well.
I’m really looking forward to seeing more from this author!
I just finished this in one go, an amazing book!! Such a good story line and the spice is *chefs kiss* 5⭐️ also art work is stunnninnngg would love for this to be a smut and sip book with the amazing art work! 💕
I enjoyed the concept of this book especially the Styx I wish we had more of an introduction to the world and that there were more interactions with the Styx as they seemed really interesting. The book was great but felt too short and I wish it could have been longer as it was a great idea
As soon as I saw the promotional posts for this book I knew I NEEDED to read it, and it did NOT disappoint!
Age gap? Apocalyptic/zombie outbreak? Sassy FMC and grumpy older MMC? Erm yes yes yes thanks!
If you loved the walking dead then this book is a must read! The apocalyptic world and eery atmosphere is so well written, the descriptions of the STYX and the world around them is spot on, the never knowing if one will jump out and whether the characters are safe or not. The book is fast paced and kept me hooked from the get go! Looking forward to more from this author.
I absolutely loved this book. Love the whole “I don’t want you” vibe from him knowing damn well 😂 and the “daddy” 🥵🥵 yes yes yes. Devoured this book in 2 hours!

I really loved this book. Even though it wasn't very long, it felt so complete, and I finished it with a full heart. I absolutely loved Fox and Ivy and watching their relationship grow and evolve throughout the story. I'm a huge fan of post-apocalyptic books, and this one had everything I enjoy. It's definitely earned a spot on my favorites list. ☺️

I ate this book up. Was practically frothing to read another of Alex Joys books after devouring her first one & this one hit the mark even more than I suspect. It’s fast paced but with a slow-burn feel. The character development & how they developed together was brilliant. I really love Alex’s writing style & how she portrays her characters. I can not wait to see what she’s got coming next
