Ambitious young attorney Tina Bethel doesn’t have time for commitment, but she wouldn’t pass up some hot, no-strings sex with the right guy—like Sons of Odin officer Vincent Ramos. Six feet, five inches of solid muscle and biker masculinity, he revs Tina up like no man ever has. The trouble is, every time they get physical, Tina’s cravings are never quenched—because Vincent always pumps the brakes before the point of no return.

With her sexy body packaged in a short skirt, Tina’s enough to drive any man crazy. Vincent isn’t sure how he’s resisted her shameless come-ons. He just knows that if he gives in, he won’t be able to stop—and after two failed marriages, he can’t afford any more broken promises. But when a disgruntled client of Tina’s starts stalking her, Vincent has to make up his mind about his true feelings—fast. Because if he’s willing to put his body in the line of fire, he should be able to risk his heart in the name of love.

This has got to be the most passive MC I've ever heard of. Plus only one or two have nicknames, what kind of MC is that? Vincent was so blah, and Tina was sexy and had a smart mouth. I had to force myself to finish.

OK, I have a confession to make.

description

After reading some reviews before I actually started this book, my thoughts were "hmmm, not sure I'm gonna like this story." And after reading a few chapters I feared that this story might not be as enjoyable as I first thought. BUT after the first 50 pages or so it started to get better and by the end I was quite pleased with how the story turned out.

I liked the plot and characters, well, aside from one but when you read the book you'll be the same opinion as me, trust me. Anyway, what I found fascinating is how the author put together two main characters that couldn't be more different, even if they tried it. One is a member of an 1% MC club and the other is a successful attorney. If nothing else, the author would defninitely have me at that and I would read the story just out of my curiosity. But of course the story is about so much more than that.

description

Tina and Vincent have been playing this cat and mouse game for almost over a year and everytime things get heated, it's not Tina that pulls away, not even close. It's Vincent and his reasoning is, how do I put this nicely, hmm, nope can't do it. Simply said his reasoning is cowardly. There, I said it. But it's the truth! Just because he got hurt by his past two serious (like marriage serious) relationships, that doesn't mean he can never love again. Why deny his happiness when he did nothing wrong. He's just punishing himself and for no good reason! Thankfully Tina knows how to crack him, after all, she is one heck of an attorney and winning is her freaking middle name!

description

And that's exactly what she does! I loved her character, she's sassy, feisty and knows what she wants. Unfortunately her awesome personality attracts also some unwanted attention from one of her clients and things then quickly take a more stalkerish turn. But Vincent knows how to keep her safe, even if he has to cross a few lines. All I can say is, the end results was defnitely worth it!

Would I recommend Possession? Yes, I would. It's a story you can read in just one sitting and since it has romance mixed with action, I'm sure you won't be bored with the plot. Happy reading!

A pussy tease? No, thanks! Not a fan of the h being the aggressor! Oh yeah, and I feel the need to point out that he refused to have sex with her when she got him all worked up 5 months ago so he went out and had a one night stand with a stranger instead... That he regrets, of course. Yeah, not my cuppa!

Attorney Tina Bethal is focused on building her career and even though she would like to warm the bed of Sons of Odin officer Vincent Ramos, she isn't looking for a relationship. Despite Vincent's attraction to Tina, he doesn't plan on taking her up on her offer. Vincent has been burned twice and he doesn't want a third time in his future.

When Tina gets into a jam with a client who won't take no for an answer she seeks protection at the MC. Vincent protects her, no questions asked, and when he finds himself spending more time with her he finds himself falling again. Tina is the type of woman he could see by his side, but can he take the leap and trust her. The bigger question is though will Tina want him in return?

I loved this story. I thought this was quite a bit different for a MC story. Normally you have the hero either insta-love, girl is too good for him, or not willing to give up his wiley ways. This story is none of these, Vincent has a lot of depth and is not your normal biker and I absolutely adored him. Tina is feisty and used to taking care of herself so when Vincent steps in they butt heads but they also work it out. Excellent book look forward to more in this series.

Vincent has been resisting Tina for a while. He's been burned and is hesitant to pursue the feelings he's sure Tina would bring about. Tina is a lawyer with a stalker on her hands. She seeks out the Sons of Odin for shelter while being followed. At some point Vincent stops resisting and watching their relationship develop is interesting. They seem to have been brought together due to the stalking incidents but there's definitely more to them than that. I like that Tina wants more for him and his relationship with his kids. I liked that the story also touched on mental health. So far, I've picked up that the Sons of Odin is MC with high moral standards which is different from typical portrayals. In contrast there are several incidents that prove they will also protect their own at any cost. All in all an interesting story and I will definitely read more. Safety: No OM. H sleeps with OW after resisting Tina but at that time they were not together and he regretted it. No sharing. No condoms. Neither were Vs. No rape, though h is threatened with it. H pushes h away before getting with her but not after.

This was the first book that I have read by Violetta Rand and while it was not the first in it's series, I was able to read it and understand what was going on. Generally in a series of books you need to read within the order or you feel completely lost, not so here. It is definitely an MC based story but it deals mostly about the two main characters Vincent and Tina. Tina is in lust with Vincent and while he is definitely attracted to her, his failed marriages make it hard for him to commit. What I really liked about this one is our female lead is one strong female, not a damsel in distress. A quick read and recommend it to all.

^^4^^ Badass stars from me!!

Yeah here it comes the second book of Sons of Odin MC Possession which i enjoyed a lot!!

In this story we have the defense attorney Tina Bethel and badass biker Vincent Ramos. Well when read that the heroine
is an attorney and the hero a biker you kind of say ..'no way...she will be uptight and he will be the wild rebel
who loves only sex, drugs etc...' but no no no there are perfect characters not what you expect.

*"Ready?"He stepped closer and opened up his arms. She willingly crawled into them, happy to find another excuse to be so close to him.*

Tina is bold and a tease (she is a sex kitten) who would expect that, i laughed a lot with her teasing skills
towards Vincent...yeah you want him, nothing can stop you!!! I loved her character even in danger (stalker..)
she knows how to cope with..she stays calm and uses her logic to escaped these kind of situation..and also
she doesn't live in a bubble fantasy.

Vincent is the good, kind and sexy as hell type of a man and when i read about he previous marriages i was like "Why man you didn't deserve to be treated like this.."
And now when the perfect wants him badly his traumas and his heart don't leave him accept her, so resist....Not for long though..and we kind of wanna thank the stalker
for that because Vincent won't let anything happen to her.

*She accepted him for who he was, patches and all.*

As for the stalker Kline, yeah he'll see who's coming for him... Team Vincent!!!
Overall the plot develops steady, with as i said with very enjoyable characters and there is the anguish you feel about the stalker, when he'll appear and what he'll do. Also i love the sex scenes they were really juicy!! I'm really looking forward to see who will be in the next book and what will be about!!!

*Live hard.Die hard.Love hard.

Wow! Just Wow! I still can’t catch my breath after this one. Rand melds steam with suspense, red hot romance with genuine feelings, and places it all amidst the dangerous world of an MC. I was captivated from cover to cover. Rand’s unforgettable plot shine through as her vibrant, if at times dark, descriptions really bring out the best (and worst) in everyone. The intense and intricately woven plot took me to so many different places and evoked so many emotions that I couldn’t get enough of it.

And don’t even get me started on the characters! The heroine’s need to stand on her own but realization that it isn’t always possible made her infinitely real. The hero’s need to protect what is his but acceptance that it may not be possible with Tina. Together, this couple not only lit the pages on fire, they also made me want to be part of the story. They had the type of romance that you crave, if with a bit of a twist.

The biggest downfall of this book was that it ended. I definitely wasn’t done with the characters and am dying for more from this series.

Jesus, Vincent is a sexy man, "he smirked. “If you ever end up on my bike, Tina, you better be prepared to wear my patch.” Sometimes Tina lets her mind wander to see if her man can forget about things, "he blew out a breath. “Too late, baby.” Her eyes traveled down his front, stopping on his magnificent ***k. Maybe she could convince him to do something else . . . “Hey.” He waved his hand. “Up here.” Vincent isn't one to beat around the bush, "he blew out a frustrated breath. “Steady? I’m asking you not to eff other guys.” I enjoyed this book, I loved Vincent.

Another kick butt book from Ms. Rand! I loved it from start to finish. It had everything bad boy, tough girl, hot sex, drama, and love!

I loved Vincent! He truly evolved into the man the reader could see in him. It took him a minute or two, but he did. He is super hot in looks and his big heart. When he loves he loves... As he said "live hard, die hard, and finally love hard." He definitely does that. He has had some hard times and was able to take that and turn it into something special with Tina. He is a darn good lover too! Shower inducing scenes, be prepared!

I loved Tina too. She is an independent strong woman! She isn't wishy washy or drama filled. It was refreshing to read a female lead like her. Tina didn't hide from her feelings to hard and she fought for what she wanted...Vincent! I liked her real thoughts about introducing Vincent to her family. She never thought she was better than him and loves him for the man he is.

Great great read! I really really loved it! I can't wait to read the next installment of the Sons of Odin!

3 stars...
Possession is the 2nd installment in the Sons of Odin Series. We've met both characters in the first book as Tina and Vincent played prominent roles. Tina works as an attorney, and ins currently representing Kline Barnes, the wealthy nephew of her boss. Kline is being accused on a domestic related incident, and after the case has been tried, she finds Kline finding it difficult to move on. Being wealthy, and the nephew of her boss, Kline thinks he can get away with anything. He begins stalking Tina, and doesn't get hint until Vincent steps in.
Vincent has been burned by 2 failed marriages. The last thing he wants, is to open himself up to getting burned again. There's no denying the attraction he feels towards Tina since the day he met her with his fellow brother, Lang. He finds Tina at his bar, and is instantly drawn to her again. He loves her sassy mouth, her brilliant mind, and her smoking body...but he keeps his distance. Once her realizes the danger she's in, he can't help but stepping in to help.
Their relationship builds as Vincent attempts to keep Tina safe. All the while, he keeps the club afloat with the recent club issues. They finally tear down each other's walls and fall for one another.
This is NOT your typical MC book. If you're hoping for the raunchy/dangerous MC series, this is so not for you! It's very tame. I normally love Ms. Rand's writing, but this was a struggle. The story lacked punch and felt choppy. The couple is interesting, but not enough. Vincent is supposed to be this bad ass biker/MC brother...it's totally soft. It some respects it's was refreshing not to be so harsh as typical MC series, but it was just kinda "ok". It didn't quite work: attorney, wealthy parents/upbringing..and the 2 failed marriages, "I quit my job as a banker and now I'm in a club" kind of story.

This is the second book in the Sons Of Odin series by Rand and while I didn't read the first one I didn't feel lost while picking this one up.

From what it looks like is that Tina and Vincent met in the previous book. When the book starts they are familiar with one another and have an explosive chemistry that just heated up the pages.

Vincent, the treasure for Sons of Odin, can't get enough of Tina but he never takes it too far with her. He wants to make sure his feelings are more then lust. I really liked him. He was bad ass but yet he had this softer side when it came to Tina which I just loved.

Tina, an attorney, deals with criminals day after day but when one of her clients starts getting out of hand by stalking her the only one she can run to is the sexy Vincent. After spending more time together these two become closer together and Vincent has some big decisions to make.

Tina I think was my favorite character. She was independent and strong but yet she new when she had to let Vincent help. I loved how she wanted Vincent and drove him absolutely crazy.

The storyline was pretty good. I liked it dealt with a stalker after Tina and not someone trying to get back at the club like a lot of other mc books are.

I have read a few MC books and while each is different and unique some stand out more then others and this one is one of them. Sure is their violence, rules, sex and cursing but Rand delivers a sweeter side of the guys behind the bikes. It's not only about the club but these guys finding their HEA with the strong women who are in their lives.

I'm really looking forward to meeting the other members of this club and the strong heroines they fall for!

*Like the previous installment, I would consider this book MC lite.

Vincent Ramos and Valentina Bethel have resisted their attraction toward one another for six months. But now that their respective best friends are married to each other, Tina redoubles her efforts to persuade Vincent to engage in a friends with benefits relationship because he is gun shy when it comes to commitment. When a client, on parole, begins to stalk her, she uses it as the perfect excuse to engage his white knight sensibilities with incredible success.

Vincent has good reason to be wary of Tina. After two failed marriages and a broken relationship with his two sons, he believes himself incapable of being worthy of Tina. But once he surrenders to her insistence, he begins to forget why he protested their relationship to begin with.

Both Vincent and Tina were a much more intriguing couple than the one in the previous book, but the plot itself was unnecessarily complex, including Tina's stalker, Vincent's emotional issues, and his handling of club business when one of his brothers goes rogue and brings trouble on the club. As a result, both Vincent and Tina get short-changed in the development of their relationship.

The concept is quite a turnaround for MC romance and I loved it! She is the aggressor and Vincent the biker is backing away. I found both characters realistic and though this is their story together there is a wonderful history provided for both. The reader is truly yanked into the insanity and absolutely wants to drown in the hot sizzling writing of Ms.Rand. Possession is an outstanding chapter in the lives of the Sons of Odin MC and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Vincent and Tina knew wach other because their friends and they have hook-up before. Vincent has shit story with women and now he is the one that don't wanna a relationship.
I really like Tina she has a bad mouth and has principles for the poor ones.

Yet nothing was really happening... just the Kline's harassament towards and that is the only major issue to going on in the book.
I really did not understand Vincent why not just casual sex?! What make her more to him. It isn't really much on deep feelings or why one and the other was OTT.

If you are a big fan of biker/MC romance books like me, Possession by Violetta Rand is the book for you. It is well-written, has a good story-line, a villain, a strong, sexy, alpha biker hero, and a smart, independent, and strong heroine. This is a definite must-read!

Finally Lilly tied a knot with Lang and Tina finally wanted to pursue her crush Vincent.. But Vincent doesn’t believe it happily ever after after two failed marriage.
Feisty Tina wanted to pursue Vincent but he seems he is always arm length away from her. When one of her client harasses her, she seeks his help. not only her client is following her, he constantly calls and follows her around. When he finds out she has been harassed by a client, he is willing to do anything to protect her. Tina doesn’t want him to just protect her, she wants him to pursue her.
But her client/stalker’s aggression is escalating and Vincent is worried it will get worst not better. Now Tina needs to make decision if she still wants to keep that client and pursue Vincent..
Now they will find if they are right for each other or another fling for both of them.

I did enjoy reading both series. Both Tina and Vincent were made for each other.

3 "Just Friends" Stars

So this is the second book in this series but can be read as a stand alone. There are some connections to the first book Persuasion, and that is where we actually meet both Vincent and Tina as secondary characters. I love that they get their own story but we still see and have a connection to both Lang and Lilly.

Tina and Vincent meet a year ago when their best friend fell in love. Tina followed her best friend Lilly from the east coast to Texas where she decided to stay and make a life in Texas as well. While helping Lang and Lilly plan their wedding Vincent and Tina find it harder and harder to curb their attraction to each other.

At the wedding itself their is a pretty heat interaction between them but Vincent puts on the brakes before anything actually happens. Thoroughly frustrated, Tina distances herself from Vincent, his MC club and their bar. Until an overtly creepy client follows her from a bar. Not wanting to go home, and not having anyone really to call on she heads to Valhalla The bar owned by The Sons of Odin, and who does she run into but Vincent of course.

Vincent has been unlucky in love with not one but two failed marriages already and a couple of kids, he is more than a little gun shy to start anything remotely close to a relationship with any woman. But unlike many of his brothers, he isn't into the whole one night stand thing either. And to make things even harder on him that is exactly what Tina is offering him, a no commitment, friends with benefits deal so to speak. But he knows that once he has her their will be nothing casual about their hooking up and that scares him more than anything.

So you pretty much can guess whats going to happen right. And it really wast that bad of a read. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Tina and Vincent come together as a couple. But there were so many things that just didn't add up, or I didn't understand why they were even thrown into the story when nothing really came about from them. But overall I think my biggest grip would be how Tina just allowed her creep of a client to continue to make her into the victim. As an attorney she should've taken better precautions and steps to ensure he wasn't able to blackmail her into not saying anything.

And then why in the world would her boss give him to her as a client knowing his history. She questions it at one point but there was not resolution to that. I understand the whole drama/story line development part of it but overall on a believable note I didn't understand that happening at all.

But why address the whole custody situation, without something coming about from it. It just seemed to be a filler part of the story something to help them move from point a- point b with no real need or addition to the story as a whole.
Plus her whole family situation that was a little confusing and didn't add much to the story either. There were a few more things that were kinda just thrown in that made me question things but then nothing was really resolved.

Overall this was a short, quick read. No really baby drama which I thought was going to come into play but thankfully didn't. No big drama between Tina and Vincent either, it was mainly all external to their relationship drama besides the internal emotional struggle Vincent faced. It could've been better and I was hoping for a little bit more after reading Persuasion, but it wasn't bad either.

Book review: 4 biker stars

Once again Violetta Rand draws me into her wonderful world of irresistible bikers. First, in Persuasion, she made me fall head over heels in love with the special and one-of-the kind prez of the Sons of Odin MC, Lang Anderson. Now, she makes me do the same with MC’s treasurer, Vincent Ramos - I simply L O V E the name btw. But let’s take it from the start…..

The Sons of Odin MC series has a new addition to its family; the second installment, Possession. This book concentrates on the story of Vincent Ramos, Lang’s BFF and treasurer of the MC, and Valentina Bethel, Lily’s BFF and roommate. They both were instantly attracted to each other since the moment they first met and that attraction grew even and even more during an even they had to organize together on Lang and Lily’s behalf. But, after some very unfortunate things that happened during it, they walked away from each other and never saw each other again.

Until, now, almost a year later, Tina finds herself in the lot of MC’s clubhouse, needing and asking indirectly a “refuge”. You see, Tina is being stalked by one of her clients. And when I mean stalked, I mean even-I-was-terrified stalked. And that’s how her irresistible and incredible biker comes back in her life. So, while Vincent and Tina are trying to find a solution to this scary problem, the fire they were sharing found ground to light up again; but much more powerful than before.

Guns and knives could maim and kill him, but Valentina Bethel could shatter his world.

And definitely, the only way to describe their first few encounters of their reunion is as a cat and mouse game . Really, it so damn fun and hot seeing Tina doing the cat and Vincent being the mouse. I enjoyed the hell out of it and them! It was simply amazing. But soon, that game ended and they drove straight to Lovers-Crazy-Hot-For-Each-Other territory. And if you combine it with Vincent’s thirst and desire to protect Tina with every cost, then you get a love that breaks all the HOTNESS and SWOONING thermometers.

Vincent Ramos was the perfect vigilante.

The way the story unfolds blows minds! It allows the personalities of these two to expand and evolve completely, turning them into two extremely well-written characters and, also, for their story to go to a very strong and deep level of love. Vincent being a biker who is the amazing combination of tough, tattooed, alpha male, protective, caring, incredibly sweet, a gentleman, smart etc and Tina being the lawyer who is independent, a firecracker, protective, persuasive, not a quiter etc, make a couple that I will love, cherish and remember for a long long long time.

Violetta rocked another book of this series and she keeps adding more and more suspense in it which makes me unable to resist it. And damn if she knows how to right an AMAZING end in every one of her books! My radars are fully on for J.T.’s story or for any other work of her!

I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review and here it is: 4 stars.

This is the first novel I've read in this series, but I've previously read and thoroughly enjoyed the author's Devil's Den MC series, which was why I was eager to read this new one. While her writing is, as usual, excellent, I wasn't quite certain what to make of Possession.

First, we meet Tina. She's maid of honor at her friend Lily's wedding to Lang, a former president of the Sons of Odin MC, who,m I'm assuming, was featured in the first book of this series. Tina is an up and coming defense lawyer. After the newlyweds leave, she's in the process of getting smashed on peppermint schnapps and flirts with Vincent, Lang's best friend and the current treasurer of the MC, who's clearly as attracted to her as she is to him, but all they do is kiss.

Flash forward 5 months and Lily and Lang are still honeymooning in Paris when Tina decides to go out drinking alone and she has the misfortune to bump into Kline Barnes, a client she defended and for whom she got probation rather than a jail sentence. Since her law firm frowns on fraternizing with clients, she politely refuses his advances, but he doesn't take no for an answer, and when she flees the bar, she realizes he's following her. Not knowing what else to do, she heads for Valhalla, a bar owned by the MC. Vincent sees her arrival, and when she trips on her stilettos and sprains her ankle in the parking lot, he brings her inside. Let the flirting and sexual innuendo begin, but again, Vincent still manages to resist her advances, and the next morning, after discovering that her SUV has been vandalized, he arranges for one of the club members to repair it and instead spends the day with Tina, and takes her bird watching, which is hardly the hobby this reader would have guessed an MC member would enjoy.

The stalking continues as does the attraction, bringing out Vincent's protective side, yet he still manages to resist Tina, explaining that at age 29, he's already got two sons and two ex-wives. He's clearly an intelligent man who once had a successful career in business, but I found the lack of darkness in him an anomaly. Based on the previous MC series, I kept waiting to learn about whatever past trauma lured him into the life, but again, there really wasn't one. While the stalking of Tina continues to escalate, there's also a subplot when one of the Sons of Odin makes off with the old lady of a rival gang member, and again, Vincent, who is the ranking club member there at the time, tries to seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Vincent is an extremely likable and very sexy character, yet nothing about his personality seems to fit the MC image. Tina, who comes from a wealthy background and who's been attracted to him since the day they met a year ago, is a lawyer at a prestigious law firm and wants to advance in her career, so her involvement with Vincent hardly seems like a good fit.

While the romance between these two continues on to an HEA ending, and while I was certainly absorbed in and intrigued by their story to stay up until 4 a.m. to finish the novel, it was a bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces just didn't seem to fit together to form a cohesive picture. The reason for the 4-star rating is based on the quality of Ms. Rand's writing, but the Sons of Odin are perhaps the tamest and gentlest MC I've encountered to date.

My star rating for POSSESSION is: 4 out of 5 stars! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading an
ARC Copy of ‘POSSESSION'(Sons of Odin MC Series - Book #2)
(via:BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):

This is my honest review of the second novel of the Sons Of Odin MC Series by author Violetta Rand. Here is my honest review for this MC novel of the Contemporary Romance genre. “Possession” is written from the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views), Valentina “Tina” Bethel and Vincent Ramos.

Valentina “Tina” Bethel’s best friend since college, Lily, just got married and Tina was given the responsibility of being her maid-of-honor. She helped to make sure everything went good for the bride, even if that meant having to work closely with the best man, Vincent, who happens to be a biker and the best friend of groom. After a night of enjoying their friends’ wedding, throw in a few drinks, and the little bouts of flirting between Vincent and Tina would tempt them toward acting on their sexual tension. But it wasn’t that easy.

When an MC brother brings trouble to the club, the MC’s Treasurer Vincent Ramos is left to handle that business while the club’s President is away. To add to that, Tina appears outside the club’s bar with her own issue and he feels the urge to protect Tina even if she says she wants to handle it on her own.

As a successful junior attorney, Tina finds herself in a strange situation with a rich client who doesn’t seem to understand the word No. She finds safety at the only place she could think of, Club Valhalla, owned by The Sons Of Odin MC. This is where she runs into Vincent after months of not seeing him. With a growing attraction between the two, things begin to flourish into something more but they both don’t want to admit that it is anything more than lust and friendship. But will Tina be able to handle her client who has gone into stalker mode? And will Vincent be able to help out his club and Tina’s issue at the same time?

Tina is a professional, independent woman, who isn’t afraid to pursue what she wants. Even if what she wants is a bad-ass biker who pushes away from her every chance he can. Vincent is apart of a 1 percent biker club and his loyalties are with his brothers. After having a bad history when it comes to love, he works extra-hard to push anything serious away before it can start. But there is something about Tina that is working hard to break down his walls. This novel is sexy, entertaining and delivers an exciting storyline. This one is worth checking out, especially if you can enjoy an intriguing MC biker romance. :)

Friends with benefits… plus

If anyone has noticed I’ve been reading just a few MC Romances lately. Ever wonder what it is about the MC culture that attracts us besides the lawless badass alpha males? Well, I can’t speak to everyone else but I can relate it all to myself. You see when I was a very young girl, I had a favorite uncle that would drop by on his motorcycle and pick me up for road trips. My memories don’t go so far as to remembering where we went or for how long… nope, it was all about the wind in my hair and the joy of the ride… Oh, and being singled out as my uncle’s favorite riding bud. Then I grew up and the first vehicle I chose when I turned sixteen was a motorcycle. Ummm nope, I totally didn’t have a thing about bikes and men that ride them… just like I don’t have a thing about our men in the armed forces having grown up a military brat. Nope not at all :)

I don’t know how many of you have noticed that ex-military men tend to make up a good percentage of the MCs… at least in the books I’ve been reading. The same can be said of the Sons of Odin series. In Possession, Vincent is ex-military like a number of his MC brothers. That in itself says a little bit about him in my books. He’s twice divorced and feeling unlucky in love. And, believe me, that twice bitten, twice shy sentiment definitely applies. Yet he comes from a large family so he values family greatly. He assuredly loves his sons to beyond and back. So why the heck does he allow the ex to get away with a court order that allows him one visit a month with his boys? A definite contradiction. And yeah when he’s paired up with Tina to plan his best friend’s wedding reception the two of them definitely have chemistry. But no matter how tempting the tease he’s bound and determined to steer clear of commitment.

It’s been six months since Tina last saw Vincent at her best friend’s wedding. The man seriously tripped her trigger but left her burning with no satisfaction in sight. Yet when she picks up a dangerous stalker, Vincent is exactly who she runs to. And now that she has him in her back pocket providing protection she’s going to make sure she turns up the heat on a regular basis… The question is… who’s going to get burnt? If she’s lucky it’ll be the both of them burning things down on & off any horizontal surface. And while friends with benefits are just what this lawyer has proposed, she’s more than willing to negotiate for a lifetime.

Typical MC fodder, you have your standard club politics and dangerous situations weaving in the background while there’s an in your face threat to Tina keeping these two on their toes as desires burn out of control. It may take a hypothetical club upside the head but Vicent does get with the program… quite admirably I might add. The loving is hot. The characters have depth and there is plenty of action, all the things that count in my book to making for a great read.

The Sons of Odin series continues with Possession, Tina and Vincent’s story. No two Motorcycle Club Romance series are going to be the same, every author puts their own unique spin on the genre. I enjoy Violetta Rand’s spin. The focus is more on the couple and their lives which is something I’m enjoying in this series.

Tina had met Vincent at Lily and Lang’s wedding. With a bit of liquid fortification, she made a move on the sexy biker. Her seduction didn’t go very far that night but what a scorching kiss. While Vincent might be wanting more, he’s holding back because he’s got a sense that this woman could matter and he won’t take that risk ever again. With two failed marriages behind him, Vincent is convinced that love is just not in the cards for him. And while Tina might want only a sexual encounter in her mind, Vincent can see himself wanting so much more… and he’s just not cut out for it, in his mind.

A few months later, Tina is out at a bar when a former client she’d defended makes a move on her which she kindly rebuffed. Unfortunately this scumbag doesn’t take no for an answer. Once she realized she was being followed she headed to the club’s bar and hopefully the safety of it’s members. Vincent finds the one woman he’d like to take under his protection in danger in the club’s parking lot… there’s no way he can walk way from her now.

I really liked this couple. Vincent is so convinced that he’s worthless at relationships when neither failed marriage was his fault, but he’s shouldered the entire blame. Tina knows exactly what she wants – Vincent – and she’s strong, stubborn and feisty enough to go after what she desires. Let’s face it, Vincent never had a chance.

Possession will take us through some emotional moments, some dangerous ones as well. Through it all the passion and affection of this couple is obvious. I would have no trouble recommending this story and this series to any reader who loves MC Romance or simply Romance in general. Sizzling and steamy at times, deeply loving at others and always with a dangerous feel – Possession is one of those stories you won’t soon forget.

Received an ARC copy through NetGalley.

Once again, I am blown away by Violetta Rand. Her writing is beautiful and the characters are amazing. I enjoyed the first book in the series and the second book was just as good and different from the first two characters.

Tina Bethel, a defense attorney, has always been an awesome character ever since her appearance in the first book, Persuasion. Even though her job requires her to be somewhat uptight, she knows how to have a phenomenal time! She is bold and brave. She always made me laugh with how she kept trying to seduce Vincent. She really just wanted a few good lays with him, but love can never truly be avoided.

Vincent Ramos, the treasurer of Sons of Odin motorcycle club, was awesome in the first book! I'm glad I got a more in depth view of him and his life. I don't like his second ex-wife Laura. Vincent is such a loving man and didn't deserve anything she did to him including being kept from his sons. I love how much he held family, including his Brothers, so high in his eyes. He protected, cared and loved unconditionally and it was just admirable. I was happy to see his defenses fall apart and have him finally accept things with Tina. He already knew he would fall in love and trying to avoid it only caused him sexual frustration.

The romance was amazing. After almost a year of the cat-and-mouse games, they finally came together and had steamy, hot, raw sex. Man oh man, Vincent knew how to work his crown jewels. I loved his dominant side in the bed, I loved the way Tina was always desperate for things to go fast. They were just so cute together!!

This stalker guy, Kline, absolutely pissed me off! I couldn't believe it -- he was guilty of everything. His uncle, who is also Tina's boss, is an idiot. I cannot believe how he allowed his nephew to get away with criminal activities in regards to female. It was totally disgusting and I'm BEYOND happy that Tina did the right thing. Tina is a BOSS!

Once again, the Sons of Odin are freaking awesome! I absolutely love all the men because they value family and women more than other clubs do. Excited to read Property of J.T, the third book in the series!!! I hope Dog Tag gets his own story too.

Tina and Vincent had so much chemistry in Persuasion so I couldn't wait for their book to come out and I'm happy to say this book did not disappoint at all.
Tina, a lawyer, finds herself on the unhappy side of a client she helped defend in an abuse case recently and while she was able to help get him off on a lesser charge I am sure she is regretting that decision once he starts stalking her. Tina is trying to get away from her crazy stalker so she winds up at a bar that is owned by the Sons of Odin MC and runs into Vincent who vows to take care of her. Vincent is fighting his attraction to Tina because he has had two marriages that didn't make it and he feels that Tina deserves someone better then him....oh how wrong he is.
Tina and Vincent grow closer together while he is protecting her and even though Vincent had always put the breaks on when Tina made advances at him it was great to see that he let his walls down so that he could find where he was meant to be...with Tina.
This being the second book in the series it is advised to read the first one so that you can watch the story unfold but it isn't necessary, this book could be read as a standalone.
I look forward to Property of J.T. which will be the next book in the series.

Review:

Let me start out by saying I enjoyed this story and it was different from other MC books I have read.

Compared to other MC books I have read it is light on the whole MC culture, but if you are new to MC books this might not be a bad place to start. It is sexy and alpha-male but on a watered down scale and probably not what you are expecting when you see it is centered MC culture. I liked Tina, she is a good heroine, smart, tough and a go-getter, heck she could have been in this MC and kicked some of their butts...lol Vincent is not at all what I expected for the character in this book. I mean he is in an MC and he continually turns down Tina. I get that he is gun-shy, come on the girl is throwing herself at you. To me he is just low on the alpha-male scale. When they finally do get together and he lets her in his pants, they are hot and sexy. The stalker aspect of the story, how it threw them together it was well done both from the couples point and the villains. This is the second in the series, but honestly this is a stand-alone story.

Well-written and interesting story. Again, a good starter MC culture book for those new to the genre.
