Having fled Kalamaz, Wanda and Wumble’s team continue their escape upon The Ursender, a bearship bound for distant lands. Equipped with recreational facilities for wizards and familiars alike, the vessel promises a relaxing and replenishing trip for all aboard.
While Wanda intends to lie low through the journey, her plan is derailed by the arrival of a swarm of airborne occorites. Facing an army in the skies with limited allies and supplies, The Ursender finds itself in a race against time to fend off catastrophe as they fly toward safe harbor.
A task that might just be possible with the help of a certain talented alchemist and her four-legged familiar.
This brand new Fantasy Series from bestseller Drew Hayescontinues with the sixth novella volume!
Roverpowered features a lovable pair of heroes out on their first adventure, learning about both magic and life in a progression fantasy suitable for all ages!
The only real problem with any book in the series, is there just too short, and don’t come out frequently enough.
These books are generally wonderful and lighthearted, this one is slightly more intense in the middle, but still suitable for pretty much all age ranges. It’s got great witty banter that adults will enjoy, but it’s not so complex that a young adult couldn’t read it.
Especially found the in section where we learned more about our Heroine’s friend and his family. The back and forth there was fun.
Very much recommend this book, and highly recommend all the ones in the series up till now.
I’ve already added the next one to my watchlist, and I’m looking forward to reading next in the series.
Mr. Hayes, keep it up, we appreciate your efforts.
I love these fun-sized novellas! And Roverpowered is just the ticket to a good time!
Love dog’s then you can't help but love Wumble! Wanda and Wumble make a great team, each are trying their hardest to make sure that they protect each other! And Wanda still hasn't a clue about how powerful Wumble truly is compared to her. But don't get me wrong Wanda got plenty of mana. She can make better potions than any Alchemist on the Mana Bearship! And the Alchemist Guild is starting to take note of Wanda's ability. Currently the Ship they've boarded is being attacked by a flock of Owl Occorites and losing! If you don't know what Occorits are get the first book. All Wumble wants to do is drag Wanda up to his level so they can really take off!! But first it's up both of 'em to save everyone board!!! So yeah, grab the book! It's AwesomeSauce!!!
The delightful adventures of Wanda, the Apprentice Alchemist, and her familiar dog Wumbles continue in book 6. Wanda is woefully ignorant of her own vast power and Wumble's even greater power, as they travel on a 'Bearship'. It's powered by magical bears, of course, with their attendant wizards. She befriends a powerful friend from her alchemist's academy, Lenar. While Wanda is unaware of her power, Lenar is completely flabbergasted.
Then they get waylaid by magical constructions that attack the ship.
This book, and the whole series, is highly recommended.
I confess that Drew Hayes might be my favorite author. He writes so many great stories about a variety of interesting characters and does a fantastic job of building new worlds.
This continuation in Roverpowered is another delightful morsel in his delectable feast of books. It's like a yummy, hearty snack that leaves you craving for more. (I might be a little hungry while writing this review)
Anyway, I highly recommend reading this novella (always wary of giving away too much of the plot). Read it and then you'll want more!!
This is a series about a young alchemist named Wanda and her indomitable corgi familiar. This is a cozy novella about a woman trying to get better at her craft and a loyal canine who wants to help. The characters are fascinating and the world is very different from the others that I read about. I strongly suggest starting with the first one because you'll greatly enjoy the journey. I will definitely read the next book in this series.
As with the others in the series this was way too good and way too short. Loved every minute of the young lady who just don’t know her own strength. I loved the quick nod at the guy pursuing them and what true gratitude looks like. A very wholesome book that would be appropriate for YA and up. Our favorite one-eyed dog ever keeping her safe. A series that is on the recommended list and can’t wait for the next.
Wanda and friends have an eventful journey by Bearship and arrive at the location for the next book: Spireshadow.
Wanda learns a new spell from a friend, and Wumble continues to think on their next imbuement, not having liked being stopped by being lifted off the ground in the previous volume.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series! I like the characters and their developing relationships as well as the imaginative action and intrigues that are dire without being crude or gratuitous. Very satisfying. It makes an engaging and light hearted read that leaves me wishing the books were longer and published more often. Thanks, Drew!
Wanda and Wumble are a delight to read about. Their dying world is interesting and intricate enough that the occupants have yet to realize it is dying. Looking forward to more of this series.
Book 7 can't be released soon enough. This quick read, has the pair and their friends taking their journey airborne. A nice mixture of clueless over-powered protagonists on their latest alchemical escapade.
Too short! I was really enjoying this and getting into the story when it was suddenly over. Just 150 pages and now I have to wait 5 months for what’s supposed to be the final book of the series. With so much still unfinished, the final book better be at least 500 pages.
Outstanding This whole series has been great. Of course this whole series is like half a book, but a damn good book broken into bite size pieces. The adventures of Wumble & Wanda get a little bit bigger and take several strange turns. It's over all too soon, with a literal cliffhanger.
Drew Hayes. You did it again. Great book, really fun and I did laugh out loud a few times. Wanda and Wumble grow and are very fun to follow. Great Book!!
I love reading about those two. And I like how they keep ending in situations that allow them to save the day, but still undiscovered. At least people is starting to see there's more to them. Love their innocent and pure hearths. And it's good to see them making friends.
