This is a peer review.

In Gibson's Legacy, the author introduced us to a hotter than sin rockstar by the name of Gibson who has a legacy that precedes him. We also got to meet Chloe, a former bar cleaner who fantasied with Gibson the moment she laid her eyes on him. Their story was that of star-crossed lovers who jump through hurdles and obstacles to find normalcy in their respective lives until a twist of fate reunites them many years later.

Trusting Gibson takes off immediately where Gibson's Legacy concluded. What happens when two people - a larger than life rockstar, and a normal and kind troubled soul like Chloe - have to learn to find common ground, and accept terms alien to them in order to find happiness and fulfillment in a world full of chaos and confinement? You will have to read Trusting Gibson for answers.

K.L. Shandwick, an eminency in the New Adult Contemporary Rockstar Romance genre returns like a force with her prolific prose and innate ability to tell a story. I truly admire Shandwick's storytelling and weaving in medicine and science in a romantic way. The dialogue is effective and natural, all while employing effortlessly the perfect balance between simplicity and complexity in situations that will leave you sitting at the edge of your seat and holding your breath.

We learned so much about Gibson's thought processes and intelligence in Gibson's Legacy, but in Trusting Gibson, Shandwick shows us the human side of this enigmatic rocker with a heart larger than his fame - packing a fierce punch where it matters most: Your heart. This story was anything but predictable, the plot unexpected, and the twists and turns Shandwick put me through taught me to never assume her writing is cookie-cutter or formulaic. It is genuine and unique.

Trusting Gibson is a swoon-worthy introspective work of literature that demands to be read. If you are looking for a smart rockstar with a heart, this is the book for you. Shandwick never disappoints in the sensual steamy department and those scenes had me fanning my face and squirming in my seat more than once. What's not to love about Gibson Barclay?

This novel ends with a Happy Ever After, yet a part of me feels Shandwick is leaving The Last Score Series open-ended. Hopefully we get to see more of Chloe and Gibson in the near future. A girl can wish, right?

Brava, Ms. Shandwick. Five Stars.

After the end of the first book I could not wait for the second, thankfully I was gifted an early copy which is great in itself!
The first book I absolutely loved, the second book I loved even more if that is possible! I have to say I love Gibson, definitely one of my top bbfs of all times!! This book had it all, the angst, the emotions, the HOT scenes, everything that you want from a hot Rock Star book!
I won't give anything away because you really need to read this for yourselves to see how brilliant it is but I will say that this book gave even more depth into Gibson's character, it showed the reader his personal side, his thoughts and feelings and fears, not just what he is as a rock star. I loved this because it made him seem so much more real and not just the famous person that he is to the world. You could clearly see his love for Chloe, what a decent man he is always trying to be towards her and how much he really is trying to earn her trust and hep her put all her fears behind her after the bad relationship with Kace.
Chloe definitely came into herself more in this book as well, it showed her as the strong sassy girl that she is, how after everything she dealt with, and had to deal with in this book, actually made her stronger and realise how much she loved Gibson. She allowed herself to trust him and to let her heart lead her despite the risk it was for her to make.
Again it had the dual POV's which I really love, it gives us so much more into their characters and we as a reader understands their thoughts and feelings much better. This book had a major turn in it which I really wasn't expecting, but then I like this because it wasn't predictable at all!
The ending was lovely and if KL decides to do another book about Gibson and Chloe I would definitely be reading it!!
Overall I think this is a brilliant series and totally worth the 5*. Highly recommend it!!

Trust is one of the hardest things to do, especially when you have put your trust in someone whole heartedly and they have let you down in the worst way. It's something that Chloe struggles with. What makes her doubtful is Gibson's legacy. He's a Rockstar and can have women whenever he wants, but what he wants now more than anything is Chloe. Life is not all Rock and Roll, after show parties and woman whenever he wants. Gibson has feelings, he's a man first, who then became a Rockstar. People only see, Gibson the Rockstar not the real Gibson.
To me, I was not only reading about a Rockstar and all his flaws or about Chloe and her past, but a compelling story of love and trust. How life can change dramatically. How people cope with trauma, not just the person who has had a traumatic experience but all those around that it also affects.
Life can be cruel sometimes but I also believe, everything happens for a reason. You can survive anything, overcome anything if you have the right people around you, who love and care for you no matter what.
There is humour in this book that had me laughing out loud. It is also a sexy read, some very intense moments. I was drawn in to continue turning the pages. I would loved to read more of Gibson & Chloe's story. I hope there will be a book three. I couldn't possibly sum up this book with one word because it was, brilliant, sexy, funny, compelling. I loved it.

I actually just finished a rereading of this series and what I forgot I quickly remembered.

In Book 1 Chloe and Gibson were both young and life took them in different directions which lead to five years later and nothing has changed but for one person it did. Domestic Violence is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Now, in Trusting Gibson I thought that this one would have changed my feelings on Gibson. I like Chloe and although her naivety and awkwardness were her weakest as a character she tend to figure stuff out and going through what she went with Kace I understand why she was quick to jump. As for Gibson he annoyed (and also liked him) lol the heck out of me if he wasn’t such an asshole I would have rated this higher but I felt like he wasn’t conveying real feelings and It felt forced but he was too cocky cause come on he claims to love Chloe and yet the idiot thinks it’s okay to de-stress with alcohol and letting women do whatever and his band mates not helping, like seriously he says he’s in love ‘whatever’ for me those are just words sorry doesn’t excuse his behaviour but Chloe was too sweet that I hated how at times he treated her.

I liked and hated some parts of this series and Gibson kind of killed that, but he is lovable and funny no doubt and the guys and even friends kept this story at a pace that I never expected a twist.

I was really looking forward to the next instalment of Gibson and Chloe and KL Shandwick did not disappoint with Trusting Gibson!
This book picks up more or less where Gibson's Legacy ends and we follow Gibson and Chloe's journey of learning to be in a relationship in the public eye and Chloe needing to get past Gibson's legacy and learning to trust him, despite his past.
I don't want to say to much for fear of spoilers but there is a huge shocker in Trusting Gibson, one that I didn't expect and took me on an emotional roller coaster! KL portrayed the events fantastically and I felt every feeling the characters were going through thanks to the great descriptive writing.
Fantastic book KL Shandwick and well done on tackling the subject issues in Trusting Gibson. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for your next work.

I received an arc in return for an honest review.

Oh my word !! I have been waiting for the return of Mr Gibson Barclay with bated breath and I can honestly say I was not disappointed in the slightest!

I absolutely loved the first book of this series and I admit I was a little unsure if the sequel would live up to my hopes of how the story would go. I need not have worried because KL Shandwick actually exceeded my expectations and then some !!

The first book had me frustrated and twisted in knots at the way the characters played out the story and I wasn't sure if I would feel the same feeling of turmoil and angst again. HOWEVER this book truly did pull at every heart string and every emotion I felt while reading this book was amplified immensely. Not only does this author manage to evoke a mired of feelings she also has her finger on the readers pulse and knows now to make it quicken. The relationship between Gibson and Chloe is more raw in this novel and I have to admit made me shed the odd tear.

This book picks up the story from the close of the first and we find Gibson Barclay is determined to be more than his label, he is set on showing he's not what the paparazzi portray him as being, especially for Chloe. In this part of the story we get to see more of the real Gibson. Gibson the man not Gibson the rock star. We actually get to see his personality come to the forefront as he faces the biggest battle of his life to essentially save the woman he loves in more ways than one. I really felt like the dynamics of the relationship altered throughout the story and shifted from Chloe being the one saving Gibson from himself to him saving her. This showed the reality of people's lives and just how complicated they can be.

Whilst reading this I was reminded of the story Sleeping Beauty, in that Chloe seemed to fall into a trance after a traumatic experience and needed her prince to kiss her sleep away. Well Chloe may not have been in a state of sleep but she needed her superman to lift her up. Which is perfect that the song by Daughtry 'waiting for superman' was KL Shandwicks muse for that part of the book. I love it !!

It's my personal opinion that this series has been the best I've read in the rock star genre.
KL Shandwick doesn't just give the reader a hot story filled with music or randy rock stars, she delivers a whole lot more to do with relationships, people and life !

Bravo ! This is definitely 5 *'s from me. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Trusting Gibson continues where Gibson’s Legacy book one in the series left off. In this final instalment about Gibson and Chloe, we see them as a couple, how Chloe deals with the lifestyle she has landed herself into, she was definitely more ballsy in this instalment, and she wasn't afraid to let people know it. Despite her being much stronger, she’s in it for the long haul!!

Gibson… still ridiculously sexy, hot and gorgeous, but we get to see more of him too. His feelings, his thoughts, his love for Chloe. We have a dual point of view which is fantastic, and since you get both sides of what is taking place, as a reader, you get more connection with the characters.

After a horrendous ordeal Chloe has changed… she’s no longer ballsy and sassy. She’s insecure and suspicious at every turn, fearing the past is not far behind her and as her ex will know where she is, Gibson decides to take her on tour with him, but is this really the wisest decision? An already vulnerable Chloe is faced with memories of Gibson’s past conquests, people warning her away and she begins to question everything… its now Gibson’s turn to be there for her. He’s determined to make her see he’s a changed man, that he loves her and will care and protect her. But can he be there for her twenty-four hours a day? The plot takes an unexpected turn which keeps you wanting more and more!!

As with previous K L Shandwick's books, she can write some truly steamy sex scenes and this book doesn’t disappoint! Gibson Barclay is a red hot sexy rock god with a dirty mouth and I fell for him in book one. In this book I fell even harder! I can’t wait to see what this wonderful author has planned next!

Trusting Gibson book #2 in "The Last Score Series" has stolen my heart away from all the other romance and love stories that I have read.

It picks up right from where you leave off in book #1 "Gibson's Legacy". Again you get both POVS's from Gibson and Chloe and I really love that. This story just keeps get better and better with every turn of the page.

Gibson may be a Rock Star but when it comes to his relationship with Chloe its all about the love and desire he feels for her and how he will do anything to protect her and to make her realize that she is everything to him.

Chloe is not very sure about herself and where this relationship will go and how long it will last. She has doubts about herself and Gibson's past reputation with women which makes it hard for her to believe this relationship could and will ever work. Chloe decides to take a chance for herself and Gibson and falls in love.

This is one love story you have to read. Once I started I couldn't put it down. It has all the elements of a perfect romantic love story..lust,drama,danger,love and the omg steamy sex!!

KL Shandwick your writing is so beautiful and always keeps me coming back for more. This is so much more than a 5 Star read.. you ROCK!!

I got Trusting Gibson by K.L. Shandwick as an ARC and I was not disappointed. This book starts right where Gibson’s Legacy leaves off. Chloe and Gibson have some real chemistry together and they are HOT. Chloe is still not sure what she is doing with this rock god but she has decided she is going to go for the ride and I love her for it. I definitely love when she gets territorial with Gibson and she shows all these people from his past that she isn’t just some little girl you can push away. As for Gibson what can I say sexy alpha rock god that he is and that Chloe is his soft spot that he will do anything for. I loved this book.

Wow, what can I say! I never thought that I would meet a better alpha rock star male after Alfie Black in “Love with Every Beat” by KL Shandwick. But Gibson Barclay? He is sooo much hotter!
Trusting Gibson leads straight in off Gibson’s Legacy where we met the hot Rocker Gibson and his object of desire Chloe.
The first book was hot but this book got so much better with their story. You love reading how their relationship deepens and their connection gets better. In Trusting Gibson, Chloe is still unsure of where she stands with Gibson and how she fits into his life. Chloe starts to realise that she can indeed trust Gibson.
Even though Gibson is a rock star, when it comes to his relationship with Chloe, he is just a simple man who is in love with his woman.
Again we have the alternative POV’s which I love in stories. I feel that this gives so much more depth to a storyline and its characters when you get the chance to hear both sides with their own side stories.
There is a total WTH part to this book. Without giving it away, something happens that will hit you from the side and you will definitely not know that it is coming. I was left gobsmacked. Well done KL for that bit!
This was a fantastic read. Great romance that makes you think about some of the RL rock stars and what they might go through with their relationships not in the media part we see.
Terrific 5 star romance with hot and steamy pages.
Once again, I have enjoyed reading KL Shandwick’s books. I really look forward to reading more of her future work.

Holy smoke!! Wow, i jumped at the chance of an ARC of Trusting Gibson, and i was hopeful it would be a good read, (rolls eyes to myself) i always under estimate K.L.Shandwick, she delivers a great book, and story at every turn, along with HAWT Book Covers!!

Gibson and Chloe kick off where we left them in Gibson's Legacy. And K.L's writing only improves with 'age' like a fine wine, with more amazing hot scenes, real life issues faced on this book had me gripped from the start. Was Chloe frustrating, yes, was Gibson wanting to be seen other than the front man, lead singer? Yes. Does K.L.Shandwick give dual POV's, from Chloe and Gibson. Yes. Thats where we can read, feel and sense what each character are going through. KL very cleverly writes about issues some writers wonld not dare to delve into. You see that not all lead singers are what you think they are, they are an image. You see a broken girl able to build herself back up, with a little help and guidance from the love of her life.
Do Gibson and Chloe over come hurdles, and show everyone they are stronger together than apart? You will just have to One click and find out.....

Yes my review has more questions than answers, but the quality of this story is worth every page turner....

Trusting Gibson is the second book in the Last Score series. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read Gibson's Legacy first. Trusting Gibson takes off where Gibson's Legacy left off.

I loved reading Chloe and Gibson's story in Gibson's Legacy. In this one she's on tour with Gibson. In the beginning of this one I was getting a little annoyed with Chloe and her trust issues, then something big happens. I was a definitely shocked by some of the things that happened in this story. Kace is still around to cause trouble and Chloe has to deal with Gibson's groupies. Their relationship seems to never be easy for them. It's a bit of emotional roller coaster read. There's no cliffhanger but I wouldn't mind reading more of Gibson and Chloe.

Wow I never thought that this book could be better than the first, but I was so totally wrong. Trusting Gibson is so amazing, scary, emotional, made me want to jump into the book for more reasons then one and Gibson is so alpha male smoking hot!

Chloe is still struggling with her life, emotions and of course Gibson! But when things get crazy the only person she really wants is Gibson! But can they make it through the twists, turns, the rock star life and the woman?

Amazing read and if you don't grab this series you are totally missing out!

RECENSIONE QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.com/...

description

Trusting Gibson is the follow on book to Gibson's Legacy and needs to be read before this book.
Trusting Gibson was a great follow on book. The story picks up exactly where it left off in book 1.
Can 2 people from 2 different worlds be together and love always be enough In the end?
In this follow on story you will get to see if love is enough.
Chloe is having trust issue with Gibson still throughout the story. He's a mega star and wanted and loved by millions. His past also doesn't help her trust him. Throughout the story though you see Chloe really trying to learn to trust Gibson and accept his lifestyle without it effecting their relationship. This book is a real journey for her finding herself, finding the trust in Gibson and moving forward with him whilst letting the past go.
Chloe goes through so much in this book and has a lot to cope with. You really see her start to blossom and grow up really. She shows more maturity throughout this book, but is still a great, interesting character like in book 1.
Gibson is really trying to show Chloe throughout the book she can trust him and that he has changed. You can see throughout the story that he is really trying and has also matured a lot too. He really loves Chloe and wants her to trust him and knows he has a lot to make up for. Throughout the story you're slowly see him breaking down her barriers and letting him in slowly. I loved reading these moments as despite their rocky path, they make a great team and I wanted it to work out for them.
After Chloe encounters a terrifying ordeal, Gibson changes and he becomes the perfect man for Chloe. He starts to show her the real him, not the famous him. Reading about Gibson's change in the story and the way he is with Chloe after her ordeal was special. He wanted to protect her, look after her and really devote himself to making them work out. He really really tried for Chloe to change and I don't think he could of done more for her,
The story isnt plain sailing thoughts about Gibson and Chloe working things out. There's a big shock in the story you won't see coming and there are twists and turns to keep you fully interested.
The story pulled at my heart strings and was emotional in parts, especially when it was to do with Chloe. She has a lot to cope with in the book and some tough subjects were dealt with that we're upsetting. The author wrote these scenes very sensitively though and the scenes made a impact on the storyline altogether.
This book was just a gripping as the first installment. I loved both the characters still and I loved watching them both develop more throughout this book.
If you liked book 1 or you love a good Rock story with a difference then this series is one I'd recommend.

4.5 rockin' stars

Gibson and Chloe’s story continues on in this next installment of the Last Score series, and of course, is nothing less than stellar!! The connection between this couple is magnetic, and they can’t seem to get enough of each other. But, as Gibson’s desperation to protect Chloe increases, so does his need to hold onto her and never let her go. He’s a tad bit obsessive, but that’s only because he realizes she means everything to him and he’s scared for her. The whole rock scene does not disappoint when the guys are touring together with their entourage and the constant barrage of groupies hanging around. They’re definitely your typical rockband! But, it’s music they want to produce and when something big goes down with Chloe, the band has to rally together to support their bandmember, Gibson. Some are on board, but others are selfish and just care about themselves.

Again, Chloe and Gibson have to learn to trust each other, but it seems it’s more from Chloe that she has to learn to give Gibson the benefit of the doubt. Yes, he’s always had that manwhore reputation, but that was also before he got together with Chloe. She’s it for him now, and nothing is going to get in the way of them being together. Boy, some s**t went down that was pretty heavy. I thought that there would have been more explained about it. And, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t some big-time action that went down amongst the characters. It was just a little ordinary for something so paramount to the story. So, I just couldn’t give more than 4.5 stars even though Gibson is it for me. He just protects and loves Chloe with everything that he is. This man just evokes sexiness and confidence to the extreme. He’s one sensual crooner!! And, Chloe needs to accept him as he is and trust him explicitly.

Loved their story and all its exciting drama! Ms. Shandwick entices the reader with two fascinating characters that are captivating even though their pasts are tainted. It’s a love like no other as the two build a relationship on love, hope and faith. Will this amazing couple get heir “happily ever after” as they so deserve? With a climax building as the novel nears its end, my anticipation for redemption and survival is picted. An excellent conclusion to an impressive rockstar romance!!

Trusting Gibson
5 Emotional But Ooooh So Sweet Stars!
* I was given an ARC for an honest review.

In Gibson's Legacy I feel in love with Gibson and I was excited for the release of Trusting Gibson. Trusting Gibson is exactly what the title says.
Chloe and Gibson had to work together to maintain their relationship since Gibson was a rockstar in the public eye and since Chloe has problems with her abusive ex boyfriend.
Trusting Gibson spends the first part of the book building and telling us about the love Gibson has for Chloe and I just swooned and swooned.
Towards the middle part of the book you hit an emotional ride. I shed tears and my heart broke.
How were they going to overcome this? With Gibson's love and Chloes spunk they overcome so much.
I really enjoyed Trusting Gibson. There were a lot of supporting characters which enhance the relationships in the book and I felt like I was part of it. I'm now a fan of KL Shandwick and look forward to future books from her.

I absolutely loved Gibson's Legacy and couldn't wait to read Trusting Gibson, which finishes the story of Gibson and Chloe.

Wow, and what ending it was, the characters developed as did the story. I loved the angst and the love and the music. I will not tell you anything about the story, you just have to read it, don't want to give anything away.

I gave it 4 stars purely as for me there was a little too much sex. Now don't get me wrong I am no prude and love a good sex scene in a book, I just felt they slightly over rode the story.I realise that Gibson's rock star lifestyle dictates his actions, however that is just my opinion. As far as the rest of the story went it was awesome. Loved it.

Definite must read after you have read Gibson's Legacy.

Gibson's Legacy was one of my favorites and I couldn't wait to read Trusting Gibson. I wasn't disappointed! The story continued through all the ups and downs...it is just a great romantic love story. I fell more in love with Gibson as he evolved into quite the romantic rock star! I loved their story and it was the perfect conclusion!

“La fiducia è da qualche parte nel futuro, Gibson. Se puoi accettarlo, allora sono qui. Qualsiasi altra cosa accada, dipenderà da te.”

RECENSITO PER RFS http://www.romanticamentefantasy.it/r...

Bentornate Fenici!

Trusting Gibson wraps up Gibson and Chloe's story. Just like the first it is told in dual POVs.

Gibson and Chloe have plenty of ups and downs during this book. It seems they can never catch a break, just when you think it will be smooth sailing someone comes along and screws it up for them. While reading you wonder if they will ever get to that breaking point and give up or if what they feel for each other is strong enough to hold them together.

Chloe is very insecure in this book and it sometimes drove me crazy, but she seems to always have this little burst of confidence when it's needed the most.

Gibson is what you would imagine a sexy, hot rocker to be. I love his dirty mouth and he knows how to back it up. Gibson had his moments where I wanted to strangle him but then he would always find a way to redeem himself.

The chemistry between Chloe and Gibson is intense. K.L. Shandwick sure knows how to write a steamy scene.

I wish there would have been an epilogue but even without one the end still made me happy. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because there was more inner monologue than I like, which is important I know, but I would have liked more dialogue between the characters to offset that.

If your a fan of hot rocker reads then I definitely recommend one-clicking. I can't wait to see what K.L. Shandwick has in store for us next.

I loved this book, i didn't think I could love Gibson then KL Shandwick brings this heartbreaking, heartwarming, beautiful book. Trusting Gibson carries on immediately after Gibson's Legacy, if you thought the first book is hot, you just wait until you read this, cold showers all around!

This book is a truly fantastic read, we see a much softer side to Gibson, showing us that there is a normal man behind the rocker persona (he is still also incredibly sexy and hot!). Shandwick has created an incredibly deep and powerful story. You can feel the love emanating from your kindle, it takes a special talent to that. Her narrative is so fluid that i didn't stop reading until I had finished, I was so engrossed in this story that the whole world evaporated around me, all I could focus on was Gibson and Chloe.

Beware there is several kindle throwing moments and even more crying and hugging your kindle moments! I already feel like I need to read the series again!

Thank you for writing such an amazing story KL, I look forward to what you have in store for us next!

Chloe's life is in danger, so she agrees to go with Gibson on tour until everything blows over with Kace, her evil women beating ex.
Chloe and Gibson's feelings start to come out, but can Chloe trust Gibson with the rock star lifestyle he has?
I love Gibson, he's a hot rock star that has never really had a serious relationship before. He gets all the women he wants after his shows and he only wants the for one thing. But that was until he found Chloe again and they reconnected.
On the outside Chloe seems to be this quiet, shy, weak women. But she's not. She has survived an abusive relationship and managed to escape, and move on with her life. She knows how to stand up for herself and we see this many times and throughout this book.
There are a few twists and turns throughout this book and that I wasn't expecting, which was a nice surprise.
I hope there will be another book, so we can really see Chloe and Gibson when they are further along in there relationship.
5 stars!

Another awesome book!

I loved the first book and was eagerly awaiting this one. I laughed, I cried, I name called (man said I was crazy, lol), but I loved it!

Gibson had me in the first book with his sexy rock God bad boy ways! He was completely unapologetic for the way he lived his life. But at the same time, he was completely misunderstood and a little lost. Finding Chloe and convincing her to give him a shot is just what he needed.

But what does she need?

Chloe worked hard to escape Kace and get her life back. Now being thrust into the spotlight and a relationship with Gibson she finds herself being controlled in a different way. Is she ready to give up her new found freedom? Can Gibson keep her safe? Can he change who he is and is she willing to take the chance?

You know when you think omg a sequel can't possible as good as the first well this is so not the case I love this book

When Gibson Barclay gives you his heart you get all ofit trusting Gibson begins where Gibson's legacy left off the story sees Chloe grow and start to learn to trust Gibson but then disaster strikes just as she lets him in

Gibson goes through hell in this book to prove how much he loves Chloe will he prove to her and everyone that he is not the playboy anymore

A fantastic book that left me feeling that true love and trust can over come anything with time and patience and most of all love you can be whole xx

***REVIEWED FOR SARAH & KIRSTY'S BOOK REVIEWS***

After falling in love with Gibson in book 1, I had high hopes and was excited to read this one. I felt a tad disappointed. Gibson’s overuse of the word ‘darlin’ did my head in at some points, sometimes I didn’t think it needed to be said at all. However I did still love the book. I adored the way Gibson handled Chloe after the incident. Despite him wanting to do the opposite, he acted solely with Chloe in mind. I loved all the different twists and turns; it kept me girpped and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what happened next. I really liked this book and I hope that this isn’t the end of the series. 4.5 stars
