Xenoworld Saga #1

Prophecy: A Wasteland Chronicles Sequel

Rate this book
Four centuries have elapsed since the cataclysmic Ragnarok War, a time when a meteor named Ragnarok left indelible scars on the face of the Earth. The echoes of the past reverberate in the memories of Alex Keener and his companions, their names enshrined as deities. Yet, their legendary legacy breeds tension between their extraordinary descendants, the Elekai, and those of pure human lineage.

Unbeknownst to this fractured society, an ancient evil, lost in the annals of time, accelerates its ominous course toward Earth, its arrival promising cataclysmic destruction. Amidst this impending chaos, Shanti Roshar, a young woman of unassuming origin, finds herself at the heart of an ancient prophecy—its origins traced back to the legendary Anna.

Shanti's world is upended when she discovers her Elekai heritage, along with a mystical connection to the dragons. But acceptance is a winding road, and Shanti must grapple with her newfound identity and the mysteries it holds. Is she prepared to shoulder the weight of her true self?

The Xenoworld Saga continues the epic narrative of The Wasteland Chronicles. Delve into this completed series to experience a tale of prophecy, legacy, and the inexorable pull of destiny. This novel weaves a complex narrative in a shattered world that has survived against all odds, and where the struggle to find one's place in a turbulent future is a battle every bit as brutal as the physical fight for survival.

Terrific follow-up to the author's series "Wasteland Chronicles". Your drawn into this new world of a changed earth with its new landscape and changed people. The change not only entails new religion's, politics but a communities way of living; its also now a world of people with new abilities. All these changes have occurred during the four centuries that have passed since "Xenofall", the last book in the " Wasteland Chronicle " series. Author Kyle West has once again written a story filled with strong, intriguing characters and words that describe both the visual beauty and at times terrifying changes that have occured to our world. If you've read any of my reviews you know I hate giving spoilers, so I strongly recommend you get this book and read for yourself what has happened to our civilization since we were "saved" from a centuries old and terrifying enemy.

Final book to finish reading in 2024.

I'll be honest, the first half was tough to read through when coming immediately from The Wasteland Chronicles since there are two conflicting beliefs in the story and using similar yet different terms.

However, once the second half came, I was hooked once more and the revelations, hoo boy, they were great and I was super happy with them.

I'm excited to read what will happen next!

Terrific series following the Wasteland series. One of the better books series/authors I have read in the last year. I will definitely be watching for new work by Kyle West. The series kept me riveted to the end. I stayed up too late to finish the last book in the series!

I enjoyed this story even though I did not read the Wasteland Chronicles. I think I will read that now and I am sure this one will make more sense as well. I love Kyle West's world building and imagination. Definitely recommend.
