Readers of Emma Chase are sure to fall for bestselling author Cassie Mae’s All About Love series! In No Interest in Love, Hollywood’s hottest young actor hits the road to chase his big break—and discovers a leading lady where he least expected.

When Jace Carver snags a minor part in his buddy’s zombie flick, he suddenly starts getting noticed all over the place. Even Hollywood megastar Carletta Ocean—known for her extensive “research” with her male co-stars—wants Jace for her new rom-com. The role could be a game-changer . . . if Jace nails the audition.

As Jace’s agent, Shaylene Kwak is all business, and isn’t about to let her favorite client blow this opportunity. Since their college years, Shay has been immune to Jace’s charm and rock-hard body. But long hours in close company have a way of wearing down even the best defenses, and when their platonic teasing turns into serious flirting, Jace and Shay are no longer able to resist what’s been right in front of them the entire time.

Shay knows Jace’s love-’em-and-leave-’em history with women. She’s not about to be just another notch in his belt. And it’s true, Jace has never wanted more than a one-night stand—until now. But at the end of the line, he’s got a sleep with Carletta and seal the deal, or risk his career for a shot at true love with Shay.

FOUR ALL ABOUT LOVE STARS.

"Seal the deal, or risk his career for a shot at true love ..."

description

You can always be certain that whenever you pick up a Cassie Mae novel that she will set an original scene for her story telling, the characters always have something authentic to bring to the table and the plot is always creative and interesting. Aside from the colossal amount of writing talent that Cassie Mae delivers her quirky sense of humour and flirty banter always provides the best kind of entertainment. I don't know what this authors personal life is like but if her books are a window into what it's really like to be Cassie Mae then I'm assured that it's full of charm and love. 'No interest in love' was yet again creative evidence of just how good this author is and so far this series is once again testament to just how brilliant this author is.

What's it all about?
Work and play get mixed up in this strictly all about business relationship. Readers, get ready to fall in love with this 'more than just friends' story of love. Shaylene Kwak has no interest in getting wrapped up in the charms of her client but spending an unexpected amount of time in his company causes this hardworking agent to use all of her available will power to resist his teasing and flirty banter. Jace Carver has his sights set on chasing his dream and becoming a successful actor, he has no time for distractions especially ones that involve feelings of the heart, so when he starts to notice his friend and agent as something more, he will do everything to keep his focus. Cassie Mae has once again swept me away with her latest novel in the 'All about love' series and featuring a couple that are impossibly hard to resist she has given yet another reason to fall in love with her romance writing skills.

description

What did I love?
This book was adorable with a capital 'A'. There was nothing not to get swept up into. Unlikely friends become the most out of the ordinary couple. Their journey is a slap stick adventure that only the likes of this author could create. The characters are enjoyably quirky and by the time I got to the end i'd almost forgotten all of my misgivings about the story and fell in love with this sweet romance. Undoubtably this authors biggest strength is her ability to write romantic comedies, and that's exactly what is delivered here with this book, with two utterly irresistible protagonists at the fore front. Looking forward I can't wait for the next book in this series. Thank goodness for authors like Cassie Mae, thank you for providing my much needed dose of sunshine in my reading life.

Why not five?
You'll never find me able to write a long list of the things that I didn't find appealing about a Cassie Mae book. Her style of writing is one that I'll never be able to stay away from. Flirty, cute and adorably comfortable her books are always read favourably for my tastes. So with all that being said you can understand that it's a hard feat for this book not to get the full star rating from me. But this time around it didn't quite reach the home run. 'No interest in love' was especially sweet, it had all the usual ingredients that make me smile for days and give me that urge to try and forget about real life and stay glued to my kindle, but for me I felt it stayed in the friend zone for too long, which is highly unusual for me as I'm always drawn to those stories that keep me hanging on for the penny to drop for the characters. I felt the story missed out on the couples 'together' times and I would have liked to have seen a little more push and pull and for the author to show those hints of love earlier in the story telling. Simply said I needed more romance and a little less comedy, but still a thoroughly likeable story from an author that I love.

description

Final thoughts ...
It's evident that Cassie Mae strives to bring something new to a romance book world that is filled with the same story lines told over and over. If you are looking for something a little different, but adorably sweet and cleverly understated then you have come to the right place. I'll never be able to get enough of this authors writing and I honestly believe we've only just seen the beginnings of what this author is really able to achieve. 'No interest in love' is a dreamy love story with a friends to lovers twist that quite honestly left me with those cloud nine feelings that only an addict of this genre can truly appreciate. Don't delay make sure you make a date to meet these darling characters very soon. Enjoy ... Kisses.

Jace Carver is a budding actor that is starting to step into the limelight. When his agent Shay snags him an audition with Hollywood's leading vixen, he knows he will have hit the jackpot if he gets the part. See not only will his career sky rocket, but the leading lady usually sleeps with the leading men in her movies. This is perfect because in Jace's own words he needs to get laid and he has no interest in love, so there's no chance of him or anyone else getting hurt. It's a win-win situation.

Shay is also excited about the prospect of Jace getting this role because it could possibly bring her more clients. More clients means more success for her too. The only issue is the audition is in Alabama, they are in California, and all of the plans she has made to get them there seem to be falling apart. Poor Shay. This trip really beat her up, literally.

Over about a week of driving, hitchhiking, sneaking on a train and flying they finally make it to the audition, but after all of that time cramped together in tight places something has changed. They get to know one another a little better and see each other at their worst, but the butterflies start and soon the flirting goes from playful to real. But Shay doesn't want a one night stand and for the first time neither does Jace. Will he go for something real and make Shay his leading lady or will he sleep with The movie leading lady in order to make sure his career takes off.

I loved reading this from Jace's POV. Watching him slowly come to grips with his feelings was sweet and fun. It made him even more lovable to me. I loved Milo and Truffles too. I was hoping that they would have made a second appearance, but I loved the time they were present.

This was my first Cassie Mae book, but it won't be my last. I haven't read Doing it for Love yet, but after reading this book I plan on going back and remedying that. This was such a sweet romantic read that was easy to get lost in.

This review will be a bit ranty. So be warned. And oh, there will be spoilerage ahead.

I have been looking forward to Jace's story the moment I read about him in Doing It For Love. He was written as a happy-go-lucky 'ho in the previous book but I was looking forward to seeing a bit more depth to him.

Unfortunately, what you see is what you get with Jace. The fact that the whole book was told in his POV didn't help either. It highlighted every shallow thought he has. Nothing against Barney Stinson (if you don't know who that is then you'll have an even bigger problem with this book than I did because Jace was all about Barney and his Playbook), but he's not someone I would call a great romantic hero.

Shay, the heroine was just devoid of personality. She's Korean but you wouldn't know or even appreciate that part of her character because the only thing that the reader has for reference is that she mutters unintelligibly in Korean and oh, "she's organized, short and oddly dressed...who is fun to mess with but not in the sheets." By the way, that last bit was the hero's description of her. Doesn't that just make you swoon? Shay was, unfortunately devoid of personality. She's an amalgamation of every cliched Korean characters you'd see on TV or read in books nowadays.

I mean, for God sake, even the cover doesn't match Shay. Do you see a beautiful Korean girl in the cover?

But my biggest disappointment with this book was the lack of romance. There was plenty of slapstick comedy but no romance. Whatever romantic feelings they have for each other felt forced and contrived. It was pathetic really.

Do I have to say it? Okay, well, here it is: I've got no interest in continuing this book. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I just don't see any reason to push through--especially when you're bored as fuck.

There's nothing remotely interesting about this book. We've got:
1) A shallow hero whose main goal in life is to become a popular actor so he can always get laid?????

2) A verrryyy vapid heroine. What is she even doing here???? Aside from being a constant annoyance???

3) NO CHEMISTRY AT ALL between the characters. This seriously brought tears to my eyes. When I read romance, I need to want the characters to kiss but, here, nope!

4) Very boring plot. I've been reading this for days now and I can chalk it up to me being very busy with schoolwork but I'd be lying lol.

In the end all I can say is: it's you book, not me.

I can’t even beginning to describe how stupid I felt while reading this book.

The male character has no appeal whatsoever and the female lead is so freaking personality-less I don’t even remember their names.

I mean, how can you throw at me a character who wants to be an actor just so he can fuck his way through life? The author made him dyslexic, a token disability, to be honest. At least in this case. This guy was so fucking shallow I couldn’t believe it.

Not only I got frustrated with the characters but there was zero chemistry between the couple and the writing was so plain.

It was a torture for me to read this book and I do not want to continue talking about this experience.

We first met Jace in Doing it for Love as the man-whorish best friend to Landon; but we get a whole new side to him in No Interest in Love while he and his agent, Shay trek their way from California to Alabama for a chance of a role of a lifetime.

Jace decided long ago that his heart wasn’t going to be placed at risk. He was going to play the part, he was going to be the star in his own movie and refused to every get hurt. But sometimes when you’re not looking, love has a way of sneaking up on you. Enter the unlikely costar of this romance, Shay.

Shay is struggling to make her way as an entertainment agent. She has a chance to break through if she can just get Jace discovered, but nothing is going as planned and these two have a road trip from hell to get through. For years Jace has fluttering in and out of Shay’s life. Often leading to her most embarrassing moments. But for the first time, in ... EVER the pact they make not to argue leads to a different type of connection.

Cassie Mae writes the best quirky, nerdy, sweet romances! NIIL brings us two regular type characters, both a bit nerdish but so damn likable. A romance with average everyday couples, something that as a reader you can completely relate to. Rich guy, forget about it! We get realistic stories with characters that struggle in everyday life just like the rest of us. And yeah, sometimes that isn’t what you want to read as an escape... but with Mae’s books you get to not only read a fantastic story, but you get to see a chance of hope, of more, that is actually obtainable. It’s like, you’re never going to be the shy virgin that meets the hot billionaire and fall hopelessly in love, and those stories are great to get lost in... But you can be the struggling girl who falls in love with the boy that doesn’t have all the answers.

Mae’s books have become a perfect escape when I need something cute, funny and romantic to read.

A romance? What? Where? Did someone steal it? Because I didn't find any. It was a "slice of life" and not really interesting even though the author tried.

It's said from Jace's POV who's an aspiring actor with love them and leave them attitude. His role model is Barney Stinson. Yeah. That Barney. But Barney is at least funny.

Shay is a know-it-all with bad attitude towards everything. She's the ice gueen and everything is "fine". It's not.

Most of the book they are trying to get from one side of the US to the other and everything fails. It's raining, the car brokes down.. Blah, blah, blah.

They argue all the time. It wasn't funny. It wasn't intriguing. It was boring.

I think I knew from the very beginning that this book won't do it from me when the talk about HIMYM started. How he compared himself to Barney..

I have to admit that sometimes it wasn't that bad. The jokes get to you after while. Not saying that I "loled" but my mouth twitched. Once or twice.

4.5 stars -- Beta read an earlier copy of this book, but so thoroughly enjoyed it I just finished reading the ARC I kindly received from the author!!

OMGosh, this book was a study in hilarity and patience. I LOVED reading this one from Jace's POV -- his internal thoughts were so entertaining. And there was so much more to him than just the cocky, arrogant playboy. It's not that he doesn't have those qualities, but somehow Ms. Mae makes them endearing instead of insufferable. Not only that, but she also gave him a vulnerable side. I swear, Cassie Mae is the queen of writing characters who are real and 3 dimensional. Jace was given such depth, and learning about the struggles he endures just made me love him all the harder. And you could actually see him change throughout the book...going through a metamorphosis at the hands of Shay.

And while this book is entirely from Jace's POV, I did love what we learned about Shay through his eyes. She was so feisty and strong, but with her own insecurities and doubts. She was unlike any other heroine I've ever read, and I adored how she and Jace bantered and fought with each other. And their chemistry just fit them to a tee, perfectly blending with the relationship that they already had.

And can I just take a moment to say that the last line gave me literal goosebumps?? I LOVE it when a book does that for me.

As a Cassie Mae mega-fan, this book was a no brainer for me. If this is your first of hers, you won't be disappointed. Her writing has a beautiful mix of epic humour and heart, and this book is no exception.

I really loved this one.

Jace is a struggling actor trying to get his big break in Hollywood and Shay is his agent who he met in college. They are on their way to an audition but a series of epic disasters gets in their way and it leads to a hectic road trip! I loooove road trip stories so I was sold pretty much straightaway. Their bond is easy to see from the start and I loved watching them evolve from friends to lovers. This book was hilarious, Jace and Shay had so much banter, I had a big fat grin on my face the whole time. I love Shay, she's my favourite kind of heroine, sarcastic and sassy, she was so cute too. And Jace was kind of refreshing, he wasn't a total slutty manwhore, he was honest about who he was. Definitely going to read more from this author and I would recommend this to anyone who likes a feel-good romance.

Going to keep this short and sweet, No Interest in Love just wasn't for me.
I struggled with both Jace and Shay's characters and failed to connect with either one.

I loved Doing It For Love the first book in the All About Love series, I can honestly say it was one of my fav reads for 2015, makes me sad that I didn't get the same happy feels with this book.

I received an ARC copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I did not realize it was the second book in the series and I didn’t realize that it’s not out yet because I am new to this whole netgalley thing. I like how the gender roles were kinda reversed, whereas Shay was dominant and it wasn’t like Jace was a submissive, he was just a non-dominant personality, he liked to make jokes and Shay didn’t take any of his shit and she was very much in charge throughout the whole book. I did enjoy the fact she wrote these characters as an opposites attract story and it really struck home for me because my husband and I are complete opposites, we do not like the same things but we make it work.

This book was hilarious, there were a lot of funny scenes in it. Since I jumped the gun and requested the second one I will be going back and reading the first one. The love story was steamy, realistic and humorous. Jace had a lot of vulnerability, he seems to be at war with what his head was telling him and what his heart was telling him throughout the whole story. Shay was an enigma to me, she didn’t seem to give anything away, up until the very end she held it all in and I couldn’t tell if she was really into him or not. I liked how the male was vulnerable and unsure in that role. Usually in books I read the male is very dominant and cock sure and Jace wasn’t that at all. He was laid back, down to earth, he had no interest on love. He wanted his one night stands, he was all about his career until he realized that there could be more and he could share that with somebody and have that intimacy.
All in all the book was well rounded and I would recommend this to others.

"Well, I love you too."

This book is Legen--wait for it--dary!!!

Like I have so many wonderful things to say and I have no clue how to!! Ahhhh!

I was so excited to read Jace and Shay's book! Cassie Mae has a way of making stories and characters that are truly relatable. This one is no different.

We all like stories about friends-to-lovers, but it's the "getting to be lovers" part that makes it entertaining. I can tell you that I was laughing to the point of tears during some scenes! I mean, he's an actor and she's his agent and they are on a sudden road trip from hades...there has to be some humor in that, right?! I couldn't get enough of their banter! Between the hitch-hiking, the constant loss of clothing (not in the way you're thinking!), and the clumbsy accidents, this book has so much awesomeness!

Of course, you can't have a friends-to-lovers- story without witnessing "the fall". This book is all in Jace's POV, but you can catch the emotions from Shay as well. They are an unlikely pair, but don't the best love stories start out that way?!

"Do you think you'll ever want to fall in love?"
"Maybe. If the love interest shows up."
"The love interest..."
"You know, the girl who flips your world upside down."
"Your life is just one big movie, huh?"
"And I'm the star, baby."
"And I'm the poor sucker who got roped into being an extra just for a bit of cash."
"You're...you're hardly an extra, Shay."

I love the way that Jace made everything into a screenplay of sorts. Each person he encountered in life became a character. He described them to a tee! Even making Shay his "Miss Unlikely". Although, fate sometimes likes to give plot twists.

Both Shay and Jace had struggles they have tried to overcome their entire lives. Being with each other seems to make the struggle a little easier. I loved watching these two mold into something they never saw coming...or chose to ignore. The plot thickened!

"I have never in my life wanted something so bad and not wanted it at the same time."

This book had hilarious moments, heartstring pulls, and all-around, wonderful leading characters with so much personality! This book constantly referenced How I Met Your Mother...I mean...Barney Stinson. Need I say more?! Plus, the nerd in me loved all the superhero love, geeky red-rimmed glasses, and clutzy moments! I felt a connection with Shay I tell ya! Also, you will never think of Smurfs the same again. Trust me!!! HAHA!

Everyone should just read this book!

It's light-hearted, fun, and will make you smile! Cassie Mae does it again!!!

Annnnnnnd SCENE!

I gotta admit, I didn't like this book at first. I thought Jace was a n a-hole actor wannabe who would do every girl he met. He thought Holloywood was a better place now that he was in it. And he would do his best to get the roles he wanted, not because he wanted an Oscar, but because he wanted to bed every star he was paired with. All he ever wanted was to get laid.

I thought, ugh, this guy's disgusting. He even had the audacity to narrate his sexcapades and mishaps, as if they were his trophies. I wasn't really feeling him. Except when he constantly expressed how he idolized "Barney Stinson" - who wouldn't? I thought he was an airhead and a slut.

Until he blurted out this four words when he thought he was about to die - " I love you Grandma!"

I love grandmas. I love elderlies. I grew up with my "abuela" grandmother until her last breath when I was in 3rd grade. She used to comb my hair and taught me Spanish words. When main character Jace Carver screamed his love for his grandma, I was moved. Suddenly I decided to read the story all over again, starting from the very first page.

And soon I saw Jace differently. (Kinda). I realized he was crazy kid, sarcastic, recalcitrant, dyslexic, attention seeker. He was just like any normal aspiring actors wanting to get big in Hollywood. And yes, still, all he wanted was to get laid.

Until he found out he could no longer deny his feelings for his agent. Until he realized he wanted to right his wrongs and be better in the eyes of Shay. Shaylene Kwak, a Texan-based Korean who usually muttered unintelligible Korean curses and had seen his ups and downs since their high school days. Shay whom she found so adorable and attractive despite her constant sarcasm. Shay who re-introduced Elmo to the world through her memes.

I thought the story was entertaining and hilarious because I found myself laughing at Jace's & Shay's expense. They ruled the world in their own ways. They threw lines effectively and their constant bickering and bantering was fun to read. I loved that theirs wasn't a case of insta-love. In the end, I thought the whole book was adorably cute.. (But still, first impressions last, isn't it? So I still think Jace was an a-hole.

I liked Cassie Mae's writing. She had this ability to make me look at her characters in a different light. Jace and Shay became real persons, their series of unfortunate events proved that life is full of surprises, uncertainties and promises. Cassie Mae is an effective and competent author, she writes beautiful and realistic romantic stories that appeal to the masses and book enthusiasts. Can't wait to get my hands on her other books!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved No Interest In Love to infinity and beyond. Once I started reading it I absolutely couldn't stop till I finished.

Why must you pick up this book?
1) It's dog-gone hilarious. I laughed so badly throughout reading this and most certainly had people stare at me for doing so. It was worth it though because I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

2) Jace and Shay's first encounter. It's priceless and extremely entertaining.

3) Valuable and important life lessons such as never making fun of Elmo.

4) Jace. He's hilarious, refers to himself as Mr. Kickass Lead, and loves How I Met Your Mother.

5) Shay. She's sassy, tough-as-nails, and totally adorable.

I loved the premise of No Interest in Love, but unfortunately the book didn't work for me at all, largely due to the MC Jace. He came off as sexist and absolutely disrespectful of women to me. Almost all of the first 10% of the book consisted of his inner monologue on how he hadn't gotten laid in quite a long time...which was probably not the best first impression for me. Shay, too, only seemed to be a filler character, and for a writing compared to that of Emma Chase, this book really disappointed. Reading this book requires legit superpowers. If you can manage to read this entire book without wanting to commit bloody murder, I salute you.

Always enjoy the humor and fun this author brings to the table with her books. A great what I like to call "in betweener" type book that brings some light into the many dark, and snot inducing novels that are out there these days. Great, funny friends to lovers little diddy!

** I received an advanced readers copy from Loveswept via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!**

No Interest in Love is the second book in the All About Love series but can be read as a stand alone. The books are about completely different characters. I did have the opportunity to read Doing it for Love (book #1) first and loved it so I was really excited to dive into this one. I remember the first book being quite humorous so I was hoping to find more of the same in this one.

This book is basically about Jace and Shay's misadventures while trying to get Jace to a really important casting call. It is told from Jace's perspective in which he narrates like his life is a movie script. Shay is Miss Unlikely and Carletta (the leading lady in the movie) is Miss Sure Thing. You can tell where Jace's head is at just by those names alone. He is a playboy who isn't interested in relationships. He wants his no strings attached fun and nothing more. Needless to say, what he thinks he wants and what he finds himself wanting turn out to be completely different which complicates his life tremendously.

There is definitely some humour in this book. I wouldn't say that it was as funny as the first book but it definitely had its moments. The missteps the two had from planes, trains and automobiles were comical but I was hoping for a little more humour between Jace and Shay. I'd say that their interactions leaned a little bit more to the cute side, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

At first I wasn't sure that I liked Jace. He was cocky and had a one track mind. As I turned the pages I realised that he wasn't as bad as I had originally thought. He wished he was the type of guy that I don't like but in reality wasn't anywhere close. Shay, on the other hand, I loved from the beginning. She had the no nonsense, get things done attitude all wrapped up in a tiny little package. I could relate to her.

I enjoyed the book but I did find it a little too predictable. There were really no surprises or twists to be had. I also thought that the part that was narrated by Shay at the end was unnecessary to the story. It should have ended without that addition. Other than that it was an enjoyable and easy way to pass the time.

4 Platypires for No Interest in Love by Cassie Mae

I received a free copy from Netgalley for an honest review.

I was pretty excited to hear that Cassie Mae had another book coming out in 2015 because most authors take a year or so to come out with new stuff. I guess she knows her fans are pretty demanding. WE NEED OUR NEXT HIT ASAP. At least that is how it was for me.
I freaking adored "Doing it for Love" the first book in the All About Love series and had a strong feeling that I would enjoy "No Interest in Love." No big surprise, I really liked it. It hit all the right spots. The writing was funny, the characters were relatable and it was all out adorable. Just mushy goodness.
This story is about Jace & Shay, friends/coworkers, on a hilarious unexpected road trip where everything goes wrong. Its told from the POV from Jace which I thought was just great. We got inside the male mind as he struggle through his feeling for Shay because at a young age he had sworn off love. Plus he wants to follow in the footsteps of his hero Barney Stinson, from "How I Met Your Mother."
Yes! In true Cassie Mae fashion there is quite a few pop culture references that are just delightful to read. "How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows." I think it might be beneficial to watch an episode or two before reading this book, but it's not necessary. Plus, I went into geekiness overdrive when a certain superhero was mention. Psst... He's a favorite of mine.
I do want a bring up an issue I had with the cover of this book and by no means did it effect my rating. I was pretty disappointed that Shay's ethnicity was not accurately represented. She is Korean and the cover model by no means would be able to pass. I am a huge supporter of #WeNeedDiverseBooks and did not feel that this whitewashing could be justified. Random House, its 2015, lets get with it.
Now all that being said, I really did enjoy this book and would recommend it to others. I believe any romance fan would enjoy it.

Cassie Mae has done it again! I just love love love her books. Her stories are unique, funny, charming, and such a cute read. I just couldn't stop smiling. No Interest In Love one of those stories where you're not looking for love but end up falling when you least expect it.

Jace and Shay have know each other for years but only through several random encounters. When fate throws them together again, she is assigned as his agent and help him land his next major role. While she was immune to his advances before, she could do it again right? He's the type of guy she doesn't want, a guy who wants only one night with no attachment or love. And she's the type of girl he doesn't need, a girl who wants to be taken seriously. As a new role opens up across the country, Shay will have to do whatever it takes to prove to herself that she can do her job without anything getting in the way. What begins as simple as a one way plane trip turns into a series of mishaps and an unexpected road trip. As things begin to fall apart, they each reveal something new along the way. Things you can't help but fall for.

I love the dynamic between Jace and Shay. After those run-ins over the years, they developed this playful banter filled with inside jokes, slight smiles, and never ending arguments. You just can't help but wonder why they aren't together. Although they have their reasons, they can always find their way around them. Jace is such a charming character. Since it is from his POV, you can't help but swoon over the thoughts that ran through his head when their dynamic changes throughout the trip. He does go through quite a bit of character development and I love the way Mae has written it. I like how Jace discovers more about himself and doesn't know what he wants until it's right in front of him.

I love the format of the book. Instead of the usual chapters, days and times marked the start and end of their journey. It's actually a refreshing change and you get reeled in even more.

First of all, I'm already a fan of Cassie Mae, so I was excited when this book was released.

One thing that needs to be pointed out, there's a lot of references to the show How I Met Your Mother. I have never seen it, so I didn't understand any of those bits.

The story itself was amusing, and I laughed a lot. There were a few times I clinched my chest because my heart was hurting. Mostly though, it felt a little too cheesy. I'm not saying I disliked Jace and Shay because they were adorable. It just felt a bit too forced.

Sadly to say, I was disappointed within the first bit of the book. Finding out the female love interest is Korean, but the girl on the cover is absolutely not any flavor of Asian was upsetting. I recognize that this is the fault of Random House, and I was offended they would white wash the cover. That they would do this to an author I'm quite fond of felt like a betrayal to me.

One thing I really did like was how the subject of Jace's dyslexia was handled. It's a topic that I don't feel is addressed enough, and I think it was awesome of Cassie Mae to show how someone can succeed even with those struggles. I was also impressed with how Shay approached it.

There's a character in here, Milo, he's awesome. I kinda wished there was more about him. He's probably my favorite.

All and all, the story was cute and I did enjoy it. I disliked the cover choice, because Random House is lying to the potential readers. And I thought the characters were pretty darn spiffy.

Every time I think that Cassie Mae couldn't make me laugh any harder or a like a book more than the last..she writes ANOTHER amazing one!!

Jace would like to think he is a rising movie star, but with an empty bank account and one B rated movie under his belt, he doesn't feel so "starry". When he is long time agent lands him a screening with a well known actress, he is gunning for the win. He knows that the actress playing the lead is known for "Casual" relationships and so is he. This role would be a plus for him in so many ways.

Shay has known Jace since college when she met him in a very embarrassing, non forgettable way..let's not go into that right now...it WILL make you laugh tho!! Now as a young agent she has a lot to prove to her company and she means to do with Jace as her client. She lands a meeting for a role in movie that could change everything for both her and Jace. Just if she can get him across the U.S. in time. With the world seemingly against them both, Jace and Shay find that sometimes that person least interested in love is the one you fall for the most.

I still can't see an Elmo without busting out laughing!! This story was soooo great! The crazy things that they had to go through and experience....let's just say it was one STINKY ride!! Can't wait for the next one!!!

I LOVEEE Jace and Shay <3

Jace and Shay are soo cute. I love that Jace narrates his life as a movie. Mr. Kick Ass Lead definitely did not see Shay coming. Him and Shay have known each other for many years and now she's his agent. They get along fine, if fine is constant bickering, but somehow that works for their working relationship.

I love Shay cause she's a tough, no-nonsense kind of girl. She likes to be in control and always manages to control Jace, at least in the work department.

Jace is not looking for any sort of commitment and this next movie role might just be exactly what he's been looking for. Through a series of events, Jace and Shay end up on this unlikely and hilarious road trip. After a short while, Jace starts to see everything he believes in fly out the window. He starts to wonder if Ms. Unlikely is actually the one that could change everything for him.

I also love how they reference How I Met Your Mother constantly and definitely love their love of Wolverine <3

Oh! and can we talk about his love for his grandma??? Too cute!!

I had pretty high expectation for this book but unfortunately I was extremely dissapointed. I really feel so bad that I have to give this book such a low rating but what can I do, it just didn't do for me.

The story revolves around Jace who's an aspiring actor. He usually stays away from commitment and can't seem to fall in love with anybody. With the help of his agent Shay, he gets the opportunity for an audition for the lead role in a film opposite to the infamous Carletta Ocean who's well known in the film industry for sleeping with her co-stars. But things don't go according to the plan and he finds himself falling for Shay. When the time comes will he choose love over career or will his attitude and commitment problem ruin everything?

The main problem I faced with this book was that there was absolutely no chemistry between the characters. And there was barely any romance. I thought this was going to be a bit of a forbidden love kind of thing but nothing like that happened. Though I liked the banter between Jace and Shay but it was not funny all the time, except when this happened-

"The car spins again, the rain pelting on the windshield, and Shay’s white-knuckling the steering wheel. And I don’t know what comes over me, but in the midst of it all, I blurt out, “I love you, Grandma!"

I couldn't stop laughing! Other than this fact, this book felt like a drag on. I seriously struggled to finish this. Also, by the amount of NA books I've read this year, I know that dual POVs works best for these kind of books but here we only get Jace’s POV so it was extremely difficult to connect with the characters, in the end I just couldn't. Jace was an utterly devoted fan of Barney from HIMYM and he just tried hard to be like him instead of simply listening to his heart, though I liked what he did towards the end but it was quite predictable. And Shay is a Korean and the cover clearly misleads this fact. I was glad to see some diversity but in the end I just didn't care for her either.

Overall, No Interest In Love was definitely not my cup of tea. I couldn't connect with the characters nor was there any sizzling romance in this book. The writing style felt too plain and disconnected which confused me a lot at times though the pace was even throughout the book.

Recommend it?

I don't think so but you could give it a try nonetheless.

***Minor spoilers***

Jace Carver is an actor who is hoping to get his big break in a romantic comedy alongside actress Carletta Ocean. What he's hoping for even more, (ridiculously so) is for the emotionless hooking up that Carletta tends to do with her leading man. However, before they can even get to the audition, things go terribly wrong. Their car turns off the road, the engine stops working, and Jace is stuck with his agent Shay, who only has a drivers license, phone, and the clothes she has on left in her possession. Jace and Shay struggle to make their way to Alabama to the audition, but on they way they get closer than Jace ever thought possible, and he starts to lose his opinion that he only wants one night stands.

Going into this book I didn't really expect much. In fact, all I expected was a cute romance and I didn't think that was too much to ask for. Unfortunately, said cute romance only came into being perhaps 85% into the book. The last 15% of the book was enjoyable. I thought it was cute, sweet, and honestly it was about time for some stuff to actually happen. Unfortunately, most of the first 85% was way too dull for my liking, and also too slow.

It's pretty hard to enjoy a romance book when you don't enjoy the main characters. I thought Jace was pretty ridiculous, to be honest. He didn't even want the leading male role in the movie because of the actual acting. He wanted the leading male role so that he could have sex with his leading female. What sense does that make? I didn't even feel his love of acting in the book, I just felt his love of one night stands. The female love interest wasn't that better for the majority of the book either. It's hard to like someone who tries their hardest not to smile, not to laugh, and not to joke. How are we supposed to enjoy a character who doesn't even seem to like enjoyment herself? She was more likeable than Jace, thankfully, but not enough for me to like her as her own character.

Overall, I didn't find very much enjoyment from this book. It was dull and slow for the majority of it and the ending felt so rushed. I found neither male nor female love interest interesting and likeable, especially Jason. For a romance novel, it was pretty devoid of romance until the very end. I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a good contemporary romance novel, because this just wasn't it.

No Interest in putting this book down!!

Seriously, could Cassie Mae come up with a more hilariously, disastrous sexy book? I love reading in anticipation to see what she will use next to reference the male body parts! The giggles that must come from her while she is writing.

Once again, we get a sweet, funny, sexy book - although quite awkward for our two main characters.

You will not have any interest in putting this book down until you finished the entire thing. Follow along with Jace and his agent, Shay, as she tries to get him across the country for his audition with Carletta, his Miss Sure thing.

They face all kinds of obstacles along the way and Jace and Miss Very Unlikely (Shay) must now work together to get him to his audition and save her job.

Jace, swearing off ever falling in love, still wants to get laid, what guy doesn't. And with his dry spell, he immediately jumps at the chance to audition with Carletta, who is rumored to have a 'no strings attached' relationship with all her co-stars. He calls her Miss Sure Thing. He gets what he wants, without having to suffer with what he dont want - some girl clinging to him wanting him to fall in love with her. Carletta 'loves them and leaves them', once their professional relationship is done, so is their personal one. Win-Win. Or so he thinks. He just has to get there and nail the audition (no pun intended. lol).

Shay is the complete opposite, not the one to just have a casual fling. She wants the real deal, the commitment, the forever. She thinks Jace is annoying and shouldn't treat women the way he does. She doesn't know why instead of really thinking of his career, he is thinking with his.... y'know.

But what happens when he starts to see Miss Very Unlikely as Miss Most Likely? Follow along on their wild and humorous journey across the country, and see what happens.

I really love these characters, you totally feel bad for them for their situation and laugh at their snarky comments to each other. Cassie really has a way of making you fall in love with them, flaws and all.

Big thanks to Loveswept and NetGalley for an ARC copy for review.

This was another cute and quirky novel in the All About Love series. It actually kind of reminded me a bit like the movie, Friends With Benefits, which I absolutely loved. Shay and Jace's story was quite funny and charming and exactly what I look forward in a Cassie Mae novel.

Shay is a young woman, who is fun, dedicated and hilariously witty. I really liked her character. Then there is Jace, who is good looking, a little cocky, and also an up and coming actor. His inner thoughts sometimes had me rolling my eyes, but he is a typical guy of course. He was very humorous though. The relationship between Jace and Shay is one that may seem like an unlikely match, but to their discovery and amazement what they find with each other is real and genuine. There was definitely moments of unsureness, but you can't deny the heart what it truly wants.

"I love you," I say, shaking my head at his imperfect words, which are always so perfect in moments like these. It hits me two seconds later that I've said the words we've never said to each other. The words that scared him so badly the last time he heard them. My heart squeezes in my chest, cutting off all my cognitive functions.

His mouth perks up in the corner, and he gathers me up in his arms. We cuddle by the toilet with Wolverine resting on our legs.

"Well," he says, pressing a kiss to my temple, "I love you too." ~ Shay and Jace

I can't forget the little dog, Wolverine, he was adorable. The ending was a little surprising, but I thought it was fitting for this couple, and I was especially happy for Jace. Now I just book three in the series and I am curious who the next couple will be.
