I want to thank Nova for a advanced copy of this book in exchange for a honest review! I also want to preface by saying, I am not sure Nova's writing is for me, but that in no way means its not for you! I wanted to like this story, this world, SO BAD! But the story line was getting buried in all the metaphors and repetitive phrasing. I even put it down for a full day and tried to come back to it, thinking maybe it was just my current mindset. It wasn't. I think the metaphors she uses are GREAT though! Its just a too much and it heavily took away from me being fully invested in the storyline.
Deciding on 2 stars, because, again, the metaphors she uses are great and I think there is potential for a great story, if a LOT of the metaphors and repeat phrasing were removed.

Alice truly didnt know what she was in for when she was put in between two brothers. Johnny and Jagger brothers who could quite literally kill each other. What will the Cutter brothers do though when they realize she can see through to who they are underneath. Who they truly are as she being. All the terrible things Johnny could've done and im fuming about Ernie and Bernie. Jagger may have a beast inside him that needs the fight but Johnny wants to pick at the weeping wounds of your soul. Once again Nova Kane has written a great plot but boy does she know how to work up th emotions.

I personally think this story had a lot of potential. I know typically with pieces like this in shared worlds, there's not a whole lot of build up backstory, but with a story this long, there should be something more. I feel like the plot fell a little short. And there's a lot of repetitivness. You can only say the same statement so many different ways before it's noticeable. I was excited to get more of Johnny, and to meet Cutter and Alice, but the character build up wasn't there for me. I loved the spice, the spice was hot, full of tension. I just wish I could've loved more about the plot.

Well, this can only get 5 stars, but if I could... I'd give it infinite. I'm a sucker for a pretty dark, no HEA novella. Sat down to start this and couldn't put it down. Nova always takes me for a really good ride, but this one is still taking me for the ride long after I finished the read.

When I heard Johnny Cutter had himself a brother, I was excited... enough Cutter boys for everyone now..

Nova, you have devastated me with this one. I loved this story SO much. I loved seeing Johnny in another book. I loved his brother, Jagger. Alice, or Ghost Girl💕, was amazing. 😭😭😭😭

Once again I’m speechless! Amazing, unhinged, dark story of two obsessive brothers and jealousy fueled rivalry.

I love Johnny as a character so it was amazing to see this younger, even more asshole version of him. He’s one of those characters that can do and say basically anything, everything he does is unhinged and unpredictable, in the best way possible. And his sarcastic, dry dark humor always makes me chuckle.

Loved meeting Johnny’s younger brother Jagger. Compared to Johnny he seemed almost sweet lol. Loved the dynamic between the brothers and how they were like two little boys fighting over the shiny new toy, and ruining it in the process.

Alice, the shiny new toy, was an interesting character who knew how to push both Johnny & Jagger’s buttons. The banter between her and both brothers was great and I loved her sarcastic comebacks. Also her saying how it is easier, safer to watch people and situations through the lens of a camera is something I highly relate to as someone who has for years been someone who watches others through the lens and captures the important moments.

The amount of quotes I highlighted is ridiculous and I never thought this book would make me feel bad for hermit crabs…

I highly recommend checking this book out but please check the TW/CW before reading! This book is dark and your mental health matters.

Nova Kane has done it again! Just when I thought Johnny couldn’t get more unhinged, somehow he did. I was so happy to be reunited with everyone’s favorite psychopath, but I think Jagger has my heart.
Jagger’s mask scene….my love for masked men knows, no bounds because yes, please chase me through the woods wearing that. The whole cemetery scene!! 🌶️🌶️🥵🥵
Johnny should be one of the most hated MMC‘s of all time but somehow I still love him and I know I’m not the only one. “He makes dangerous look personal” is one of my (many) favorite quotes from this book.
I’ve never read a book with a brotherly betrayal trope, but I really enjoyed this one. I was rooting for Jagger to get Alice, but also rooting for Johnny at the same because again, can’t help it! Johnny has such an obsession with ruining anything that Jagger touches or loves & is dying for a reaction out of Jagger at all times, he basically torments him for sport. (I mean, look at the ending…).
Something I love about Nova’s writing style is that the main characters internal monologues are always super relatable and realistic, like I have some of the thoughts in my own head that Alice has in her internal monologue, which is fun to read.
The cliffhanger was so insane!!! I need more immediately. I NEED to see what happens with these brothers!!! The end actually broke my heart because Johnny you evil individual, you deranged psychopath (that I still somehow love) why did you have to do that?!?!!!!!
P.S. Ernie and Bernie deserved better.😭

Johnny Cutter, the psychopath that you are 🤌🏻 And Jagger Cutter, equally just as psycho but a little more controlled. I ate this story UP. I was unsure how it would go since both Cutter brothers are unhinged and psychotic, but of course, Johnny just.. takes the cake!

When Jagger is fighting in the ring and temporarily blinded by a camera flash, he follows line of sight and lands his eyes on her - the beautiful, dark haired, mystery girl.. and his curiosity is immediate. After the fight, he finds her, and when she doesn’t back down, he’s even more intrigued. But when Jagger wants something, Johnny ruins it - in typical Johnny Cutter fashion 🤌🏻 But when little Alice proves she can handle not only Jagger’s crazy, but also Johnny’s.. well, things get interesting. This one is full of push and pull, will they won’t they, and a toxic love triangle.. but Jagger better be careful giving his attention elsewhere, because we all know Johnny is an attention whore and will do anything to ensure all eyes are on him. 👀🖤✨🤌🏻

Ghosted by Nova Kane is part of the Dark Star Series. First let me say....Mmmmmm those Cutter brothers, toxic as toxic can get but for some reason you still can't pull away. Like watching a wreck in slow motion and you can't stop watching and admiring the wreckage left behind. These brothers are Dark, Toxic, Jealous, Obsessive & Possessive not just over Alice, our fierce FMC, but over each other. Alice never stood a chance with these two boys. Johnny & Jagger Cutter will crawl under your skin and live there. I will tell you this is a 'to be continued' that will knock you for a loop! Check your trigger warnings and if you don't enjoy DARK, this isn't your book....but it is definitely MINE! Loved it!

Ghosted is dark, chaotic, obsessive, and completely unhinged in the BEST way. And getting a younger Johnny?! EXCUSE ME. This man was already a menace, but somehow younger Johnny is an even bigger asshole—and I was eating it up. His dry, sarcastic humour had me cackling.
And Jagger?! I LOVED HIM. The dynamic between these brothers was absolute insanity. The jealousy, rivalry and obsession had me fully invested while Alice was stuck in the middle trying to survive their nonsense. 😂
Alice was such a fun FMC too. I loved that she could dish the attitude right back, and her banter with both brothers was EVERYTHING.
Dark, twisted, messy, unpredictable and totally addictive. I DEVOURed this one.
Just please check those TWs first because this book gets DARK. 🖤

OMG!! I loved this!! We get Johnny's background & he has a brother!! I loved learning more about him & he's still the psycho we all know & love!! Unfortunately, Alice is the shiny new toy between them both & causes problems. (to Johnny at least) The competition between Jagger & Johnny is unhinged. Jagger knows how his brother is & Johnny just can't help but do everything to get his attention. And Alice is attracted to both for different reasons. Jagger wants to keep her; Johnny just wants to break her. I loved the story & the spice was fantastic! Please keep in mind this is a dark book & may not be for everyone. There are no HEA's for this one. Recommend this book & author!

To be continued?! After that ending?! You’re killing me! That was a quick and engaging read. I loved Jagger and I even liked Johnny even though he’s a psychopath with giant red flags. The spice was fun and the ending was unexpected. Some wording felt repetitive but I still enjoyed this book. I need the second part asap.

If you’ve gotten the pleasure of meeting Johnny Boy in previous books you know he’s a menace. This book shows him at a level of giving 0 fks.

We get to meet his younger brother Jagger who is just as hot as Johnny but there’s only one problem standing between these 2.

I knewww at the beginning something was about to go down but that didn’t change my jaw dropping at the end of this one.

My brain is literally BLOWN right now. That ending?! I definitely did NOT see that coming. The tension between the brothers was out of this world, and then learning the reasoning behind the entire plot… just WOW.

Everything started clicking into place, and I was sitting there like, WHAT?! The plot was PLOTTING and the spice was SPICING. This book had me completely consumed!

We have Alice that accident gets the attention of two monsters. She thinks she can win the game being played! What she didn't know was that Johnny favorite games is distorting everything that is his little brother! What she said to Johnny at the end is what lead to her being push of the bord game permanently! Overall a good fast read!
