What happens when two exes find out their parents are dating?

When Reese and Dominic secretly dated and then broke up years ago, they knew they’d have to see each other again. They were from the same small town of Autumn Ridge, Vermont. Their families still lived there. It was inevitable.

What Reese didn’t expect was to see Dominic across the table from her, being introduced as the son of her mother’s latest boyfriend.

Dom and Reese can be exes. They can be neighbors. They could even maybe someday be friends. What they cannot be is siblings.

But Reese’s mother has her eyes on the prize, and she’s not walking away without a ring on her finger. So even though part of Reese’s heart still hurts from the past they share, she and Dominic agree to team up and separate their parents.

Spying? A necessity. Sneaking around? Obviously. And sabotage? Well…never say never.

But the further apart they attempt to push their parents, the closer Reese and Dom get—until the lines between past and present begin to blur, and they find themselves with the stickiest conundrum of owning the truth of what really happened between them…and deciding if their love deserves a second chance.

Thank you Dreamscape and NetGalley for the audio ARC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Autumn on My Mind by Gracie Ruth Mitchell was such a cute, fun story! I really enjoyed this second-chance romance and the whole setup of Reese and Dominic discovering that their parents are dating. Watching them team up to try to keep their parents apart led to some funny moments, sneaking around, and plenty of unresolved feelings.

I loved the small-town Autumn Ridge setting and the way the story brought these two back together. It was sweet, entertaining, and had that cozy romance feel that made it an easy listen.

I also really enjoyed the audiobook! The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life and made the audio enjoyable from beginning to end.

Overall, this was a very cute story with second-chance romance, family drama, and plenty of fun along the way. 4 stars! 🍂❤️🎧

Autumn on My Mind is Reese’s single POV, with a “song stuck in Dominic’s head” for each chapter, giving you a little insight into his headspace.

Additionally, we have a dual timeline, with flashbacks to six years prior when these two first connect.

This book is full of longing, dysfunctional mother-daughter relationships, reverse Parent Trap scheming, and the slowest burn. 🔥

One thing I didn’t quite understand was why Dom held back for so long. I don’t want to give anything away, but his reasoning just didn’t quite check out in my head.

My favorites (without spoilers):
•reunion meet cute
•The growl 😂☠️
•“I’m you” “your pants”
•“New Soap”😏
•“Flash back to the feather exchange”
•The cooking scene
•The potluck plate
•The kiss!

Read if you liked:
🍂 Second Chance
🍂 Yearning
🍂 reverse Parent trap
🍂 Dual Timeline
🍂 Mutual Pining
🍂 Cozy fall vibes

There is something so exciting about reading a series like this. Revisiting scenes from other books but experiencing them from different perspectives—I just love it!

This book has all the tenderness and witty humor & sarcasm that I've come to love and enjoy in Gracie's books!

The history and chemistry between our FMC and MMC is so good, and the tension between them at present, in their current predicament, is 🤭chef's kiss!

If you enjoy cozy feels and small towns in the Fall, with two characters in a reverse Parent Trap situation (two characters trying to break up their dating parents 😂) you must read!

10/10 no notes. I was incredibly intrigued by the premise of this book. And as expected, Gracie delivered! This book had so much heart and serious stuff woven into the fun romcom vibes. And the fall vibes? Immaculate. Gracie did so many fun things with this one (pay attention to the chapter headings) and I absolutely loved it. This one will be on my mind for a while...

I couldn’t put it down! The angst and longing of both main characters was palpable and I ATE IT UP. And the autumn vibes were absolutely perfect 👌🏻
