This book was good… I do like that the FMC ended up running into the MMC on a date.. telling him that he has a kid from a one night stand with her months back.. overall cute romance

Just One Night had all the ingredients for a bomb book: a one night stand, a blind date, and a secret baby trope? Yeah, this should’ve hit every single time. But somehow… it completely fumbled the execution. The premise had so much potential, especially with Genesis and London at the center of it, but the story never really took off. I kept waiting for the plot to give me something exciting, emotional, or memorable, and it just never got there. Once the baby’s paternity was confirmed, the story lost almost all momentum for me. While the book was relatively unproblematic, it also felt very flat and uneventful. One thing I did enjoy was how Genesis immediately locked in once he found out Paris was his daughter. That kind of protective, intentional energy from a male lead will almost always work for me. I also appreciated how London’s friends and family never judged her for getting pregnant from a one night stand, they simply supported her, and I loved that dynamic.
The blind date aspect of the story also had a lot of potential and honestly could’ve been really cute if it had been developed more. Unfortunately, even the romance, dates, and relationship development struggled to hold my attention. I kept reading hoping the story would eventually pick up, but it never fully did. I can see what the author was trying to do, but for me, it just didn’t land. It was boring

Yes a Secret baby turned into sweetest love story with two people that meshed so well together. I loved how they matched each others freaky.. I loved how everything just gently fell into place..very low drama book. Surprises yea but alll love and consideration. Cute couple.

This was SO good! I really hope we get a glimpse of them again in future works because I’m not ready to let them go. This is exactly how a secret baby book should be written. I felt their love through the pages, and I can definitely see myself rereading this one. I’m excited to read more of this author’s work!

This was such a good palate cleanser. I needed a good novelette to read and it gave very much that. The pacing was good and especially to get a whole story across. This story follows a one night stand... that ends with a baby... with two mfas who knew nothing about each other. This turns around though bc the universe works in mysterious ways. It literally all worked out for the better for them. I loved hearing London and Genesis' story... especially after little France entered the picture and Genesis is thrusted into his role as a daddy. & HONESTLY, I loved it for them. This was a new to me author, so I can't wait to read more.

I absolutely loved this story. It’s the perfect palate cleanser after some heavier reads. Genesis and London, or rather Gary & Lisa (😏), had one unforgettable night together. Fast forward, and that night left behind more than either of them expected. A chance blind date put them back into each other’s orbit, and things went on from there.

What I appreciated most was that the author didn’t drag out the baby reveal. That’s a pet peeve of mine with the secret baby trope. When the FMC takes forever to tell the MMC he’s a father, it often creates unnecessary frustration. That wasn’t the case here, and it allowed the story to focus on what mattered most: watching their relationship develop.

I loved watching Genesis step up and follow London’s lead as he got to know his child. It was adorable seeing him in daddy mode, and I appreciated the intention with which they built their relationship. I enjoyed the dates, but I especially loved the mundane moments of them hanging around the house, playing and reading together, or grocery shopping. Also Ms. London…you better talk him through it, sis. 😏

Anyway, this was a super sweet no tension, no drama no angst kinda romance.

Fast forward 8 months… Your friend sets you up on a blind date with a man. You show up to the date and won’t believe who the man is…

This was such a cute read! I love when authors don’t drag out the secret baby trope. Like, tell that man you got his baby and let’s get the show on the road! 😂👏🏽

And Genesis was ON Londyn BADDDD! 😭😂 Once everything with the situation settled, you couldn’t tell that man they weren’t already his little family. 🥹❤️

Overall, this was a nice little palette cleanser if you’re looking for a soft, easygoing romance with a little spice and minimal drama.

When I read Soleil’s contribution to the BLP MC Series, I made it my mission to read the rest of her catalog and that’s exactly what I did and enjoyed every minute of it. So if you haven’t read any of her books, go ahead and add all of them to your TBR, you will not be disappointed!!

London and Genesis’ story was simply amazing. What started as a chance meeting while she was out celebrating a promotion at work, turned into so much more. When you know you know, even when you don’t exchange information and give each other fake name. Cause what’s meant to be will be, all in the right time!

This book was so good! It had plenty of spicy moments from beginning to end, and I absolutely loved that. Watching their relationship grow and seeing them become closer with each chapter made the story even more enjoyable. Their love felt genuine, and I found myself rooting for them the entire time.

And of course, we can’t forget the little surprise gift that came from their initial hookup—that definitely added an interesting twist to the story! This book had almost every trope I love: insta-love, insta-family, a blind date, a one-night stand, and best of all...it was completely drama-free. Sometimes I just want to read about two people falling in love without a bunch of unnecessary chaos, and this delivered exactly that.

It was a quick, sweet read that had me smiling the whole time. No over-the-top shenanigans, no ridiculous misunderstandings—just a fun, feel-good romance with characters I enjoyed rooting for.

A Cute Quick Read

A one-night stand, fake names, no contact information, an unexpected baby, and a chance encounter months later? You have to just go with it. Once I did, I found myself enjoying the ride.

This book delivered Black love, a little drama, and just the right amount of spice without going overboard. London and Genesis were easy to cheer for, baby Paris was adorable, and the story left me smiling. Sometimes you don’t need a complicated plot, you just need a sweet romance with characters worth rooting for, and this one delivered.

Quick read(wished it didn’t end), great plot. I loved the characters. This is something that I know is fiction, but I’ve known people to live in the same town and not see each other years and have mutuals in common. This felt like I was watching a movie.
