They met while he was undercover…

While working undercover, Cormac Knight fell for the wrong woman. Then he was forced to leave without a word in the middle of the night to keep them both safe. Even though he hasn’t contacted her since, she still haunts his dreams. When fate gives him a second chance, he’s determined to make things right—even if that means her starting a new life without him.

Then he left her behind…

Daniela has never forgiven Cormac for leaving the way he did. But she’s got problems of her own. She’s been trying to make a clean break from her criminal family for years, and now time is running out. When he suddenly appears out of nowhere and offers a way out, she cautiously takes the lifeline. Unfortunately the chemistry between them is still off the charts. And if they’re not careful, that connection could get them and everyone they love killed.

*Cette chronique est basée sur un NetGalley ARC en échange d'un avis neutre et honnête*

📖Genre & Tropes📖 : Suspense romance x Second chance romance x former law enforcement x toxic family x mafia plot x family secrets x spicy

PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

Finally, the book featuring Cormac and his mysterious romantic past !

This was the installment I’d been eagerly awaiting, especially because I love second-chance romances but I was also a bit apprehensive, as I’m not usually a fan of the "falling in love while undercover" trope where the relationship is built on lies ...

But I shouldn't have doubted Katie Reus =D

I really enjoyed the way the two characters find their way back to each other and fall in love all over again, and I loved the dual storylines—both the drama surrounding Dani’s family and the resolution of the mystery behind Cormac’s mother’s murder (I SO didn't see some of those revelations coming !)

This book really felt like a series finale ... though I hope we get more stories set in Sanctuary Falls <3

In short: a sexy twist-filled romantic suspense novel that’s a must-read !

PS: To the publisher and NetGalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

I just love these Knights, what a wonderful set of siblings, and Cormac’s story is just as riveting as his brothers’ stories. While working under cover 3 years previously Cormac only went and fell in love with the daughter of the organised crime lord he was investigating. When he left the FBI he also left Daniela behind, heart broken, with no explanation. Now 3 years later Daniela’s trying to get out from her father’s cruel mistreatment, and in the process she catches the eye of one of her family’s enemies, and that’s when Cormac comes back into her life. Cormac has always loved Daniela and everything he’s done, he’s done to protect her, but she’s not going to forgive him easily - if at all. A fast paced action romance with a heroine worthy of the name. She’s strong, maybe a little bit mushy on the inside, but she doesn’t suffer fools gladly. She’s very good at keeping her wits about her and she knows how to hide her feelings (not always a good thing). Cormac though is not going to give up easily, he’s all in, he just needs to get rid of all the bad guys chasing her first. With the help of his siblings that is completely doable. I was hooked from the get-go. Highly entertaining, at times sweet, and at times a little brutal and savage. I loved the banter between the siblings, it definitely brought a smile to my face. A full five stars from me. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Thank you, Net Galley, for this ARC. I loved Berkley and Micah's books and was excited to get another Knight sibling book. In this book, we follow Cormac and Daniela. Cormac previously worked undercover for the DEA and fell for Daniela. Unfortunately, her safety was threatened, and Cormac had to leave her without any notice. Fast forward to the present, Daniela returns and once again is in danger due to her family. Cormac wants to protect her at all costs and show her that he truly loved her. As Cormac and Daniela work together, old feelings spark, family secrets are revealed, and Cormac has to decide if love is worth the risk. This was an easy and fun read. The writing as always is fast paced, action packed, and engaging. To me the strongest part of this story was seeing all the Knight siblings again. I feel the family dynamics between them is the heart and soul of these books. They have an organic and relatable bond filled with lots of love, good banter and teasing. I love how loyal and ride or die the Knight siblings are. No matter how high the stakes or high the danger level is, they show up and protect one another. While I liked Daniela and Cormac, I didn't feel as connected to their romance as I did with Berkley and Nick or Micah and Clover. I think I wanted more angst/tension to keep me hooked and invested in their romance. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I can't wait to see what this author writes next.

Finally Cormac’s story! This family has drawn me in from the first book and has kept me enraptured in their lives ever since. They are so supportive of each other and are willing to do whatever it takes in all things. The danger and suspense, the laughs and the love all keep you coming back for more.

Cormac and Daniela’s story is amazing from beginning to end, and it kept me completely entertained and engaged. The intense moments had me on the edge of my seat as the sweet moments had me swooning.

Having met while he was undercover, the truth of who he is really hurts Daniela and she wonders if any of their time together was real. Cormac is a man who is very in touch with his feelings though and is able to express himself well enough to chop through the icy shield she puts up. The love is clearly still there as is the chemistry and attraction, and moving forward seems like it could be possible. But her family is still a huge problem and very dangerous.
They can get through this with the help of his family, and a surprise helper at the end, and now for their much deserved HEA.
Loved it!!

I really enjoyed this book! I’ve read the previous books in the Sanctuary Falls series, which helped to know some background on the other characters / family members, but this could also be read as a stand alone.

I thought Cormac and Daniela’s rekindled relationship was both sweet and intense - I loved how easily they slipped back into their roles and feelings for each other, even if they were unsure how it was going to turn out. Cormac was so very protective of her, and I enjoyed how supportive his brothers and sisters were of both him and Daniela by extension. The Knight siblings are also really good at teasing each other and some of their conversations were pretty funny! I also appreciated the suspense aspect of this book - the characters really worked together to try and figure things out - the plot lines were interesting and kept me engaged throughout.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advanced copy - this is my honest and voluntary review.

Cormac and Daniela had a past, a relationship built on lies and half truths where real feelings were involved, needless to say it didn’t end well for either of them. Daniela is trying to out run her family and a series of events has Cormac and Daniela crossing paths once again. Cormac only wants to offer his assistance to ensure her safety, but his family knows better. Daniela isn’t exactly keen on the idea of ‘Connor’s’ help, at least that’s what she tells herself. Cormac easily slips back into his old cover and soon he’s keeping Daniela very close, but someone out there isn’t happy with the arrangement. As the two reacquaint themselves, the drama swirls around them, and a surprising twist you don’t except is uncovered. The ever present danger simmering finally boils over and the consequences are dire, especially for Daniela. Katie has offered up a second chance romantic suspense at its best in this 3rd book of the series. Thanks to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read and review her work.

Knight's Redemption grabs your attention from the opening. We get a hint of something hidden in Cormac's past from the previous book, and when all the pieces finally fall into place, it all makes sense.

The audacity of Cormac making himself at home while taking care of Daniela had me annoyed and laughing at the same time. I absolutely felt Daniela's anger towards him for his role in her past. Their chemistry hums constantly despite their denial, making it impossible to ignore.

Cormac's siblings bring laughter, banter, support, and loyalty that give him strength. Daniela's fight against her family comes with so much drama, keeping you completely invested. Julian turned out to be a pleasant surprise in the mix.

Brutal murders, trying to survive family, and a love story doing its best to grab a second chance, all wrapped up with family secrets, will keep you entertained from start to finish.

Knight's Redemption wraps up the Sanctuary Falls trilogy in a really nice way! Specifically saying *how* it does that would be verging into spoiler territory so I'll just say that two plotlines come together in a way that ties off any loose threads. Although it can be read as a standalone, I think it probably is worth reading the previous two books because the rest of the Knight family do appear in this third book as more than just simple cameos.

I think with this particular storyline, I would liked more angst between the main characters based on how Cormac left Daniela previously, and I definitely would have loved more groveling before he was forgiven. But it was fast paced and covered a lot of ground in its 300 pages!

Daniela Hill owns a gallery and is part of a crime family. She has been collecting evidence against her father to turn over to the Feds. She is supposed to be meeting a man that is helping her but is met by a guy who holds a gun on her. Daniela ends up shooting and killing him and as she’s leaving the police station, she sees her ex, Connor. Connor is not his real name, it’s Cormac and he was undercover when he met Daniela. He had to leave her and hadn’t seen her in a couple of years. Daniela is wanting away from her criminal family and Cormac plans to help her. But their lives are on the line and hopefully they all make it out alive.

Edge of your seat. I love this book but of course I love all of them. Suspenseful. A little steamy. Second chances. Criminal family. Not really enemies to lovers but not friends either. I voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley.

Romantic, Suspense and an Addictive Read.

I just love this family and all the characters within it! They stand together in good and bad and are a little outside the law.

This is one super-entertaining read from start to finish leaving no gaps to think about anything else but the storyline, which is engaging, filled with danger, drama, mystery and a few twists you won’t see coming.

I loved Cormac and how his emotions had never changed for Daniela, together again, he would do anything to protect and save her, and trust had to be re-built.

This story concludes the last of the brothers and Katie Reus has portrayed their love story quite beautifully as with all her books and leaves you wanting more.

With thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

LOVED this book! Its a fantastic conclusion to the series and I loved learning Cormac's story. His history with Daniela is complicated and painful. When they encounter each other years later, the secrets they'd kept from each other spilled out. .. leaving them both struggling to deal with them. Then things really get complicated when Daniela's family becomes a very dangerous issue.

This novel is filled with action and turmoil that had me flipping pages just as quickly as possible. I found myself invested in the characters and wanting them to get their HEA ending.

Fans of the genre will love this book. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

A beautiful book and a fantastic conclusion to the series. It had just the right amount of suspense to keep you engaged.
I approached this book as a standalone and had no difficulty following the storyline. While starting from the beginning of the series would have provided deeper insights into each character, I managed to grasp who was who.
It's worth noting that this book does not feature a dual POV. Personally, I often find it challenging to connect with narratives that lack this perspective, but I was still able to understand and follow the plot without any issues.

Thank you for this amazing opportunity to read the eARC, and I am happy to provide my honest review in return.

Knight’s To The Rescue!!

Boy this one starts out with a huge bang and keeps up until the very end. This family is crazy in a good way.

Daniela Ruiz has tried to get away from her corrupt family for many years. She’s distanced herself as much as they will let her. Circumstances bring her right back into there mess.

Part of her had always known he’d been lying about who he was.

Cormac was undercover when he met Dani and fell for her. He is bound and determined to protect her now. Lots of secrets come to the light of day.

What a roller coaster ride. There are lots of twists and turns. Secrets popping up everywhere. I loved Daniella and Cormack. They are fiery together. Julian was a surprise and I’m really glad he’s not the total monster we were led to believe. The writing is great. I love Cormack’s funny family. They are all devoted to each other. This was a great book and the ending made my heart happy.
