Willomina Tip: Lost in the Imperial City is Grace Gidman's debut book, and it is an excellent one. Willomina is an 11-year-old-girl accompanying her airship captain father to the floating city of Imperial City. Separated from her father by a sudden uprising in the city she must somehow make her way back through the chaos to him and her home of Esmeer.

The story is aimed at children 8-12 years old, although all ages will enjoy it (this 65-year-old kid certainly did!). It is a steampunk adventure about friends and family, staying true to yourself, and never giving up. And rats. Not the kind of rats you are thinking about; they are - but, no, you will have to read the book yourself to find out.
