Carson Rome had her entire life planned until one night changed everything.
Five years after an accident ended her barrel racing career and left her without a leg, Carson has built a quiet life on her family's ranch in Willow Creek, Georgia. She's happy there. Safe. And certain some dreams simply aren't meant for her anymore.
Then her truck breaks down.
Beau Jones is only supposed to fix it. Instead, the handsome town mechanic starts volunteering at her ranch, stealing her smiles, and making himself impossible to ignore.
Somewhere between early mornings together and preparations for Willow Creek's Harvest Festival, Carson starts falling for the one man who makes her want everything she stopped dreaming about.
Love. Marriage. A family. A forever.
There's just one thing Beau doesn't know.
Carson has spent five years hiding her prosthetic and protecting herself from what might happen if someone saw all of her.
All in favour of living in a small town that’s obsessed with Halloween, raise your hand🙋🏻♀️
This was the sweetest little autumn read. A small town that revolves around fall and spooky season, a stubborn yet vulnerable FMC with a disability and a blue collar MMC who loves her because of her disability—not despite it—is all I need. Add in a horse named Blueberry and we have literal perfection.
Kindly received an ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

"Maybe she was afraid of what happened if I fell for her too." "You don't have to prove anything to me, Carson." "Tell your cow I expect an apology."
Pumpkin Spice Promises was the perfect romance to get me in the mood for Halloween. From the first chapter I fell in love with Carson and her sweet horse Blueberry. <3 After an accident in her barrel racing career that left her without a leg she feels safest at home on her families ranch in Willow Creek.
Then we meet Beau the town's mechanic who starts helping out on her ranch and I must say he is such a sweet, kind, and loving man who slowly starts noticing Carson is hiding something but he doesn't push as he wants her to tell him on her own. The two of them spend time preparing for Willow Creek's Harvest Festival and the sparks fly easily in this slow burn romance.
I could not put this book down and I really hope you read it!
I am so grateful that the author went into dept on how important it is to never look at anyone differently because of their body. Carson is such an easy to love, wonderful, strong, and inspiring woman and nothing about that will ever change for me! I almost cried several times reading this story and was so happy with how real and emotional the writing was. Ugh I loved this!
I want to remind whoever reads this review that if anyone leaves you because of something you cannot control, then they were never worth it. You matter so much my darling friend, please do not forget that. <3
Thank you again to Taylor Jade for such a lovely book and you should totally go check it out!
It pains me that Carson was alone for so long. Before Beau came along, she had isolated herself from the town because she feared what people would say about her leg. She was surviving in silence, and I’m so glad she had Hunter to talk to about their prosthetics. That shared bond warmed my heart because he understood an experience that other people in her life simply couldn’t fully understand. It explored phantom pain and Carson’s fear of how people would view her differently because of her disability. She was scared of letting Beau know about her prosthetic leg because she didn’t want him to change the way he saw her or look at her with pity. But that look of pity never came.
Beau was the sweetest. He always went at her pace and never pushed her. He was great at reading her and her reactions, and he was very protective of her, but she was also fiercely independent, and he loved that about her. Even upon finding out about her prosthetic leg, nothing changed. He didn’t make it into this huge moment because it changed nothing for him. He still loved her, and I love that for her. He saw her, and he loved her. He also respected how much she loved doing things on her own, which I really appreciated. He would offer to help, but if she didn’t want it, that would be the end of the conversation. There was never this assumption that she needed his help simply because she had a disability. He respected her independence while still being there when she wanted or needed him. He was also a huge gentleman and was raised right!!! I have no complaints about Beau.

This also had a lot of fun, loving family moments and a supportive community that rallied behind the people they cared about. They were always in Carson’s corner, even if she didn’t really want them to be at the time. She had convinced herself that she could be on her own and keep people at a distance because, in her mind, that meant she could avoid losing someone again. I think that made the found family even more meaningful because Carson’s isolation wasn’t necessarily about not wanting people in her life. It came from grief and the fear of getting attached again, only to experience another loss. Even when she tried to pull away, she had people who continued showing up for her and reminding her that she didn’t have to go through everything alone.

This book checks all the boxes. Short, sweet, seasonal. I love that I can hear the southern drawl in the dialogue. It’s not written phonetically that the characters have a southern drawl it’s more of a vibe and it’s set in Georgia and I love that.
The disability representation and the characters realization that a disability is the least interesting thing about a person. This book made me think because as a woman with a disability since birth I’ve never had to grieve what used to be, but I can empathize with what that must be like for people who become disabled later on in life. I can’t imagine the resilience it takes to rebuild a life around something you never imagined happening. I like that the author leaves space for both hope and grief to exist in the same person and none of those feelings change Beau’s opinion of Carson. Watching Carson grow throughout the book had me kicking my feet and cheering.
The character development for all the main characters in this book is impressive given the fact that it’s not a long book but it gets the job done. Meme and Pops- I know folks like them and their loving hearts are written so well. The Jones family is wonderful and chaotic and Carson is so lucky to have found Beau and Jax and Clover and Hunter. Everyone has heart and depth and I can’t wait to see where this series takes us.
If you need a easy read that’s gentle on the nervous system and full of hilarious banter, Pumpkin Spice Promises is sure to make all your fall festival dreams come true
For those of us who absolutely despise the third act breakup in most romance novels, this book will leave you pleasantly surprised.
Pumpkin Spice Promises made me care so deeply about its female lead that I was ready to throw hands with an entire fictional town over her.
It had the bones of a much richer story, but I felt there was some "meat" missing. The romance was very cute, though I found myself hungry for more details of Carson's backstory. The scenes depicting her accident and the aftermath were visceral and well-written, it made the unanswered questions hard to ignore.
Where was the meal train when Pops died, or when Carson was recovering from her accident? Did people try to visit or help only to get pushed away?
When tragedy strikes, you remember who showed up, and most damningly, who didn't. Without that kind of context, it reads as though the population of Willow Creek spent the past half decade essentially browbeating a grieving widow and her granddaughter into hosting a festival on their property again, and seemingly nothing else.
Throughout the book, we get hints about Carson's parents and the fact that she apparently treats good deeds and favours as debt to be repaid. I thought those would be related, or at least fully addressed, but was surprised that neither got a concrete answer.
Missing details were a recurring frustration, not just with the backstory. There's a scene where Beau -- sweet, observant Beau -- sees Carson moving around her kitchen without her prosthetic on, yet the prose remains vague about the mechanics of it. Does Carson, an above-knee amputee, use crutches? A wheelchair? Hop along, bracing herself on the counter's edge? We don't know, and I found that peculiar.
In all, Pumpkin Spice Promises was promising (heh). Taylor Jade made me care passionately enough about Beau, Carson, and Marigold Ranch to notice where I wanted more information, and I wish we could have dug just a little further to get those answers.
Huge thank you to Taylor Jade for providing an ARC of Pumpkin Spice Promises!
This was such a perfect fall read! The way Willow Creek and Marigold Farm were described made me feel like I was right there in the middle of all the autumn magic. The vibes are truly Stars Hollow meets Halloweentown in the best way possible!
Carson is such an incredible and strong character. Watching her journey and how she healed after her accident and losing Pops was completely admirable. The slow burn between her and Beau was chef's kiss! I was honestly left speechless. Seeing her slowly let her guard down, build trust with Beau and his family, and welcome the whole town back into her heart was so beautiful.
I laughed, I cried, and Carson's relationship with Meme warmed my heart. And that ending??? Simply perfect. If you love cozy autumn settings, slow burn, and found family, you need this on your TBR right now!
First and foremost I want to say a big thank you to Taylor for the opportunity to read Pumpkin Spice Promises before it's release!
Pumpkin spice Promises was such a good slow burn romance, I loved both Carson the FMC and Beau The MMC . I Really enjoyed the pace of this book and i was definitely kept hooked on this book all the way through the end. I also enjoyed that there was no drama whatsoever and especially that there was no third act breakup, this book is for sure going into my top 10 favorite books! If I could give it more than a 5 star review I would! 100 pecent recommend Pumpkin Spice Promises!!!
This book made me have so many emotions that I wasn’t expecting to have. The heartbreak I had for Carson. Feeling the emotions and pain of what she went through. Her grief. Her insecurities. I was almost in tears.
Beau was so sweet! So patient and so attentive. The fact that he never pushed Carson for more than she was willing to give AND went at her pace.
Watching Carson’s perspective change through the book was a beautiful thing. I loved the growth.
I also really enjoyed the banter in this book. Not just between Carson and Beau but with all the characters. Meme had me rolling! I strive to be Meme when I’m old.
I adored this Halloween romance story, it was sweet and cozy! The pacing of it was perfect and I enjoyed every part of it. Carson has been through some tough things in life and you really feel for her, she was a fantastic FMC. When she meets Beau she was so closed off, but he was so easy to talk to that she started to let down her guard. The slowburn between them was sooo good, I don't like when it's a quick romance. How much he cared about her and still treated her the same after he finds out about her disability. This is a must read for a fall/Halloween romance lover, it will make you all warm inside!!
A sweet, entertaining and moving fall romance that will warm your heart. Ms. Jade has given us a moving story about Carson, a woman who hasn't had an easy life, but whose strength and perseverance are admirable. Then we have Beau, who will melt your heart. He gives everything he has to what matters to him, and that includes Carson. The two of them are perfect together and their growth was because of each other. Pumpkin Spice Promises is a fun, easy-to-read, slow-burn and heartwarming story that will have you wanting to visit Willow Creek in the fall.
ARC review I went into this expecting a cute hallmark feeling small town romance and I got that AND MORE 🥹 The heartbreak and the stress that Carson feels really hits and THE MASSIVE GREEN FLAG THAT IS BEAU oh my goodness! 😍 he falls first? YES HE ABSOLUTELY DOES! The way he’s patient and kind and not over bearing 🥹🥹 I loved Willow Creek and I cannot wait to see where this series goes!!!

Words cannot describe how much I love Beau and Carson and their beautiful relationship. To me this was the perfect fall grumpy X sunshine but she’s the grump.
Carson spent her life after her accident afraid of the world and Beau was able to help her heal and show her that it’s ok to be happy. Beau never pushed her to do anything she didn’t want, he was always there for her and really saw all of her.
This is one of those stories you read and feel your heart melt along side the characters. It makes you want to feel and experience the same happily ever after.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this cute book! I will definitely read more Taylor Jade books. The story was set in a quaint town on a farm in fall, the perfect setting. Carson had some hardships in her life, but once she realized it’s ok to live her life and be happy as who she is today, she let her guard down to find love. I would recommend this book to any small town romance book lover.
The banter, strength and wit of these main characters had me right away. Sometimes everything goes wrong and we all keep our hilarity to survive. The bonus is finding someone who can survive both the bad things anddddd the sass! I had genuine outloud 'ha' moments. Overall a feel good story while also trying to teach us all something about love, grief, perseverance and just asking for help. A perfect fall time.
ARC Review Absolutely adorable. Loved Beau from the minute we met him. Knew he was a good one. So supportive...sigh. and Carson. So strong. Mentally and physically.
Blueberry stole the show for me. I love that horse.
Looking for a cute fall read. This is it. Not overly spicy but the yearning is there for sure!
I received this book as an ARC and absolutely loved it! (Thank you!!) It was cute and also made me very emotional. There is always a need to want to feel loved and cared for even in ones stubbornness! I will be looking into more of Taylor Jade's bibliography moving forward! If you want to get into the autumnal spirit, this is your chance to get your fill!
This is the perfect fall read. The small town autumn vibes remind me of Gilmore Girls or even Heartland (or maybe that's just because of the farm.) Touches on some important subjects such as grief, life after an accident and being confident in who you are.
I very much enjoyed the romance and story line of this book. Can't wait for more from this talented author!
«That was when it struck me that I’d spent five years imagining what would happen when someone finally saw all of me and stayed. Maybe staying wasn’t something people promised once. Maybe it was something they did in a hundred ordinary ways.»
Such a cute fall read! I loved the small town/halloween setting and how involved everyone was in everyone’s lives. This was absolutely the most adorable book if read this year!
I love this book! I absolutely love Carson and Beau!! Halloween is my favorite holiday and this book got me more in the mood lol. It was a rail racer and she lost her leg after an accident and she returns home because that’s her safe place. Beau it’s so sweet and kind and he starts helping around the ranch and that leads to Carson and Beau working together for the harvest festival. I love watching Carson let her guard down and let Beau in. I must say they are so cute together. The slow burn was chef’s kiss!!! I must say Beau is definitely a walking green flag. This was such a cute read and you should definitely add this to your TBR thank you Taylor for this arc.
ARC review Pumpkin Spice Promises is a cute fall romance by Taylor Jade. We meet Carson who has a tragic accident and loss that changes her path from barrel racer to quiet rancher barely making it and Beau the mechanic who slowly helps Carson become herself again. Set in the very small town of Willow Creek where everyone knows everyone. The town teams up to get the Harvest Festival back to where it should be. The banter between the MCs and all the townsfolk is great.
I had to wait to write a review for a bit, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the book when I first read it. I received this book as an e-arc and I had mixed feelings, I did feel like I got caught up in the hallmark-y-ness of the storyline a bit, yet weeks later I’m still telling people about it because I enjoyed the premise of the story. If you like small town romance that feels like a mish mash of Gilmore girls “in everyone’s business” townsfolk, and Heartlands western aesthetic, with some Halloween fun thrown in, this book is worth a read, I originally rated 3 stars, but since the update that allows half and quarter stars I’m raising my review to a 3.75 because I’d already been leaning toward 3.5 but have brought it up in conversation multiple times recommending it.
