Rate this book
I ran from my destination wedding.
With two pink suitcases.
And no dignity.

I sat beside Pete in first class.
Charming.
Calm.
Charismatic billionaire.
That I should have forgotten after baggage claim.

Instead, he became my client.
And my fake boyfriend because his grandmother decided I was family.
Pete keeps being thoughtful.
And my guarded heart is getting bad at pretending.

I ran from forever once.
But Pete might be the future worth running toward.

Elope gone wrong: she flees her wedding and crashes straight into the brooding, reclusive billionaire who wants nothing to do with chaos. Stuck together, sparks fly—his cold control vs her warm, messy heart. Sharp banter, slow-burn tension, and hidden depth behind his gruff exterior. Fake dating, secrets, and love that breaks every rule.

✨ Perfect grumpy hero, relatable heroine, high chemistry
✨ Fast, fun, full of feels; satisfying, swoony ending

Delightful, addictive, and totally swoon-worthy—exactly what you want from this trope!

This is my third book review for Naomi Peters and I must say, I am hooked on her wonderful stories that keep me up past time to stop after that infamous, “Just one more chapter.” We all know how that goes. I fell in love with these characters and their journey. Our story begins with Jenny running away from her destination wedding. A thought-provoking realization, “A continued sign I should not marry Todd is that I can feel more chemistry in the airplane safety card than I do with the man sitting next to me. She describes Todd as being “like a printed itinerary.” Why did it take her all the way to the altar to realize her mistake? After fleeing from the ceremony, Jenny ends up sitting beside Pete on the flight back home. Pete became her sounding board. Just listening to her thoughts.
Pete has done well and is extremely comfortable in his life. He may have money, but he hasn’t let it go to his head. He’s not flashy or snobbish at all. Just a nice down-to-earth guy. As they are waiting at baggage claim, Pete hands Jenny his card so they can stay in touch. After he walks away, Jenny looks at his card and realizes he’s one of “those Grays.” “As in the billionaire developer whose company name is on half the polished buildings in Atlanta.” How could she not recognize him…she really feels embarrassed now.
Chance meetings can be a good thing as well as a not so good thing. Jenny gets up the next morning and decides to go on a run to clear her head and to try and forget about her choices. Who does she run into at the park??? Pete…who after running past her, turns around “and starts running back toward” her. He says nothing, just starts running beside her. How can this be happening? “Two days. Two countries. One airport. Now Chastain.” (the park)
I do not want to reveal too much about this wonderful story because it will keep you up reading a little bit longer than you should. It will be worth it! Will Jenny and Pete continue to run together daily? Is running the only thing they have in common? Will running lead to more? Is this too good to be true? They have great chemistry, a connection to each other, and enjoy each other’s company. Can this lead to something more? To find out the answers to these questions and more, get your copy of Grumpy Runaway Bride’s Billionaire by Naomi Peters today! You won’t be able to put it down!

- Fake dating
- Forced proximity
- Billionaire Romance
- Run Away Bride Vibes

Grumpy Runaway Brides Billionaire by Naomi Peters was a sweet contemporary romance that delivered exactly what I wanted in a Billionaire romance: sharp chemistry, emotional tension, and a satisfying slow-burn romance. In this novel, we get to meet the FMC Jenny as she runs away from her destination wedding and our charismatic billionaire MMC Pete. While this is my first book by Peters, I absolutely fell for the characters and how the author was able to write a clean and wholesome contemporary romance. Overall, Grumpy Runaway Brides Billionaire was a fun, comforting romance that is perfect for readers who love billionaire heroes and happily ever after's!

I received an ARC copy from the author herself. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to read and voluntarily review this novel!

“Grumpy Runaway Bride’s Billionaire” by Naomi Peters

- A fake dating rom-com that is a fun and lighthearted read filled with sarcastic humor and entertaining moments. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Jenny and Pete have great chemistry, and it is fun watching them learn to trust themselves instead of worrying about others’ opinions. The supporting characters add extra charm and keep the story lively and enjoyable.
A cute romance with laughs, sweet moments, and a satisfying happily ever after.

Can be read as a standalone.
Forget cold feet... try borderline hypothermia. She can't find a good reason but it just doesn't feel right. Instead of putting on the dress she grabs her sneakers. Now she keeps running into him.
Forced proximity
He falls first
A grandma everyone should know.

Cute Story. Lots of funny bits. Thanks for the HEA. Many of the conversations especially between the main characters didn't make sense to me and left me wondering what was said. I'm glad they understood each other and were able to make each other laugh. You've got to make matches for Rowan, Reid and Dee!
