Not what I thought
I have on occasion enjoyed a good time travel story. This story had a few very deep statements scattered sporadically across the story. Not enough to negate the negativity of blasphemy and occultic going on's that seemed to be at it's core. Then there was the anomalies: like collapsing to the floor after Connor is taken only to then sit down on the sofa, but no indication of how she got up from the floor, only to grab the back of the sofa as though she is standing behind it - rather than sitting on it. Quite the contortionist. I will not be reading book two.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I found the story to be simple yet enjoyable, and even riveting at times. It could use a lot more editing in the punctuation and consistant storytelling departments but if you’re looking for a fun low-stakes time slip romance then this is a good choice. I am reading this on the heels of a massive dramatic 8 book series so I needed this change of pace.
