Mercedees: Forever An Atkins
Mercedees “Wild & Free” Atkins is the one that does what she pleases. Every chance she gets, she’s catching the first flight out of Sage Springs. With her cousins having their roles in The Oath, she disregards hers. However, it’s time to fulfill a stipulation or else her spot is up for grabs.
Arion “Scar” Greek is the plug. When it comes to taking over cities, he does it with no remorse. His only downfall is liquor. Whenever he gets on it, he tends to become a different person. One that’s more carefree. He suffers those consequences when he finds himself in a situation that should’ve never occurred.
With these two making life changing decisions as a unit, they need to figure out if it’s worth it. Unbeknownst to them, they share a lot of similarities. Where one lives with no discipline, the other runs a strict program. Maybe, just maybe, these opposites can subside for the bigger picture.

I enjoyed Arion, Ashaun & Kira… but Mercedees was my least favorite of the Atkins crew!!! She was so childish, spoiled & bratty to the point it became annoying! You would think you’re reading about a teenager vs a 35 year old woman with the temper tantrums she was throwing. All Arion had done was respect her & try to love her. I could see if he gave her a reason to act the way she did but he legit did nothing but try to give her a soft life & she gave that man so much pushback it was insane!! If I was him would’ve got that marriage annulled & let her go stress somebody else out 😭.
She got it together eventually & sat her butt down but she literally had to be forced to do so! The end seemed a little rushed I would’ve liked to see more of the dynamic of their relationship once he got her to calm down & really settle into her soft girl era. It was odd how she was so close to her cousins but seemed to pull away from them in this book to the point they didn’t even know when she had the babies nor had they met Arion, but I guess that was her branching off & building her own family…
I wanna see more on Kira & Ashaun. That man was smitten from the first time he met her & he didn’t play about her one bit! Those two were the most entertaining to me in this book!
She got it together eventually & sat her butt down but she literally had to be forced to do so! I was in a love-hate relationship with these characters. I started off rooting for them, even compared Arion to Royce for a beat.
Granted, Mercedes was spoiled as all the Atkin women were, but he was an a-hole and petty!
So even when Baby girl tries to stand up for herself, he cut her off at her knees. Making it even hard scream girl power 💪🏿 and count her as a strong FMC.
While there was no Prison-Bae, lol the series wouldn't have been what it was without a short jail stint.

Lol, then the cherry on top of creating a series on a family only to later bring in characters that 💩 on them and make them look like clowns at the bottom of the totem pole is just crazy work!
Frankly, I enjoyed Akira and Ashaun side story more to be honest.

“You look like you got some Ching-Chong in yo’ blood.” What you is?” People are quick to call out racism when it comes from people outside their own community, but it seems like some Black indie authors aren't held to the same level of scrutiny for what they write. If we're going to have conversations about harmful stereotypes or racist content, the standards should be applied consistently, regardless of who the author is.

Mercedees met her match!! 4.5🌟
What another great addition to the Atkins Family Series! I always wondered who would be able to match Mercedes' energy, and lo and behold, we have Arion, who let it be known from day one he was nothing to play with! Like every Atkins romance, there is a level of dark romance/forced proximity that I enjoy every time. I will say Arion played, letting my girl sit for 24 hours like that, but it was nevertheless a fun read. I do wish it were longer, especially since I feel we got a two-for-one romance. Idk what Ms. Easton has next for us, but if it's taking us into the Greek Family, I am here for it!

I enjoyed the side characters so much. AKira and Ashaun made this book so funny and kept me going . I loved Arion but him and Mercedees just didn’t do it for me.

Yall, Mercedees was a BRAT, but Arion was definitely a brat tamer for sure. We all met her in the background of her cousins’ books cutting up and doing whatever she wanted, so finally seeing what she was really doing behind the scenes had me crying laughing the whole time. My daughter truly did not care about NOTHING and would knock somebody out for disrespect, destroy property, and keep it pushing, so seeing her finally meet somebody that could handle her was exactly what she needed. And what happens in Vegas definitely did not stay in Vegas because the chemistry, chaos, and humor in this book made it such a fun read from beginning to end. Royce finally finding someone that can shut him up was also good to see. This was a step away from the action of the other 3 books and really focused on taming Mercedees. It all just takes one person truly to help us get into our soft girl era.

Overall I have enjoyed this series and was looking forward to this book. But it kind of fell short of my expectations. For one - one of my biggest pet peeves is when a book description makes it seem like the book is about one couple but then it ends up centering another couple. The book isnt super long so it felt like the reader got cheated from really diving into Mercedes and Arion’s story because time was taken on Akira & Shaun. Secondly - the writing felt repetitive with the characters basically repeating the same sentiments in the inner dialogue. And Mercedes’ character kind of made it hard to like her. I get she was spoiled and forced to be hard but she was a little too old for her antics. They didnt settle into their relationship until like 80% into the book and it felt rushed because months lapsed that we didn’t get to see as readers.
Arion and Ashaun were entertaining and it always nice to get a glimpse of the other Atkins family members. If nothing else I wish we saw more of their relationship and that Akira and Shaun had their own book. The plot concept was good though and was reminiscent of how all the other couples came together - in crazy, random unpredictable ways.

Possible Spoilers: Bentley move over baby you are no longer my favorite Atkins lol. I loved Mercedees book so much. Nowwww I couldn’t stand all that name calling from the fellas because I believe in “my body my choice” ok okayyyyy. I loved her spirit and her freewheel to just live in the moment. Now sometimes just being free will have you in Vegas with a lifetime commitment. That man came in and said he runs a strict program but you will learn to love it over here.
I enjoyed watching a woman who never had a safe landing in a relationship; actually go through the motions of finally being able to safely land. I know at times she came off as immature but she was literally learning, unpacking, unlearning and adjusting at a rapid pace. Give my girl some grace readers 🙄. Arion matched her energy and he loved her crazy side. Mercedees was a lil spoiled brat and baby Arion was a brat tamer.

Arion “Scar” Greek came in and sat an Atkins’s tf down! Mercedes was both surprised and mad! Cedes was a spoiled brat to put it mildly and Scar was okay with that as long as she was a lady. A lady she was not! She had no business shooting up that man business and then tried to pull the husband card. He made her sit her butt in jail for this days. The fact that her daddy didn’t get Royce involved told me she needed that!Scar put his foot and never took picked it back up lol! And I don’t think she was as sexual as they protrayed. She said that she had headhunters and few had seen fat ma. I think she let them think that save herself from them forcing her into a marriage.
Ashaun and Akira- fools. I think Ashaun might be the craziest of the Atkins and Greeks! How you stole that girl keys and made copies. And not just of her house but also her businesses and cars… then her home alarm as well. Lastly to top it off you switch all the payment methods for her bills. And to think a baby is coming from them!

Mercedees really did whatever she wanted while Scar was over there trying to keep control of everything, so watching those two clash and connect at the same time kept me entertained. They were messy, impulsive, and definitely making life-changing decisions fast.I liked how underneath all the chaos they actually had more in common than they realized. The chemistry and drama definitely kept the story moving.

I’m confused
I have read all the books in this series and all were great reads. This story was felt rushed to me because why did the story start at 75%. Both FMC were all over the place but suddenly got it together. This book could have been so much better with time.

Mercedes worked my last nerve!! Whew she was such a brat and so rude. I lowkey enjoyed the side characters more than the main ones. The book was ok I skipped a lot of pages I would say this was my least favorite of the series. It had great writing though I just wasn’t feeling it.

It seemed to take this story a while to get where it was going. Chunks were skipped and then major things were happening. I have no clue how we got where we were but we did. It felt rushed. Like it needed to be written but didn’t want to be written.

I wanted to love this story, but it just fell very flat for me. To say that Mercedes was in her 30s she was very childish and immature. It took basically until the end of the book to even see any growth within her character. Also, I didn’t like some of the time jumps at the end and I feel like you didn’t get to see how they built on their relationship. How did they come together during the pregnancy? Just it seemed like a lot of moments were missed and should’ve been put on paper. After coming off of book 3, which was so good to me, this one was a letdown.

Finallyyyyy, we got to Mercedees, the self-proclaimed black sheep of the Atkins family 😮💨. And baby, one thing about my girl, she is gonna do what she wants to do. Family expectations? Obligations? Everybody else's opinions? Yeah, she respectfully declined. She just wants to live her life and be happy, and honestly, I can't blame her.
So when she takes a trip to Vegas and has the time of her life, everything is good… except she can't remember all of it 😭. What she DOES remember is that whoever blessed her that weekend was stuck in her mind. Problem is, she can't remember his face!
Then we have Arion Greek.
Baby, Arion was living his best life too. He does what he wants, when he wants, and no one is rushing him into anything. But after his own Vegas trip, his brother casually informs him that he got married. Sir… WHAT?! 😂
Not Arion. Not Mr. "I'm moving on my own time." Surely they got the wrong man.
So now these two are trying to piece together what happened, and I was cracking UP because why is this man offended that his mystery wife isn't beating down his door trying to claim the prize that is him? The confidence was through the roof and I loved every minute of it.
And y'all know the Atkins family is already a whole experience, especially Royce, but BABY the Greeks?! Whew. Their money is long, their businesses are thriving, and these alpha men really think they know everything… until Mercedees comes strutting into their lives and shakes up the whole operation.
And let's talk about Ashaun because Connie Easton knows exactly what she's doing. That woman threw that man in there and now I'm over here waiting on his book like I don't already have enough to read 😭.
Mercedees and Arion together were the perfect combination of funny, spicy, and chaotic, and I had such a good time with this one. Connie Easton really knows how to create families that make you want to stick around for every single story.

I’ll be a Greek Wife!!!
I’ll say this about this book—whether it’s the third installment or the fourth, I honestly can’t remember—but I will say this: I’m an Adkins family fan… but Mercedes worked my last nerve. Oh my gosh, she worked my nerves so bad. Which honestly means the author did an amazing job writing her character, because whew… she had me feeling all kinds of frustrated.
But what I loved the most? Baby… the husband. Yes! Let me stay in my soft girl era all day, every day, okay? He was a man, not a boy, and I loved that for her.
Now, I will say Mercedes finally came around—thank God—because she was testing me for a minute there. But once you really think about everything, I do get her. I understand the stress, her actions, her pushing back and not wanting to be part of the Oath. I understood where she was coming from… even when she was getting on my nerves.
One thing I will say: if you haven’t read the other books in this series, stop right here. Don’t start with this one. Read the others first so you can really understand the family as a whole. It makes such a difference, because then you understand the history, the tension, and why some of these characters move the way they do.
Overall, congratulations to her and her new family. This was such a great read. And because Mercedes worked my last nerve that much? I’ve got to give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Mercedes was way more than I gathered from the other books. Oh spoiled is definite but that temper. I’m not mad about it because for some reason I can see me. Cedes or Clover, is a bit over the top but I think that is why she and toxic Akira gel so well together as besties. Both wild bunches but they have their own. Free spirits, well until Cedes picked the wrong, no the right one to party hearty in Vegas and tie the knot with. Arion is a no nonsense, wealthy, businessman and Boss who lives as free as he wants as well. Both are trying to decide if what they’ve done, besides the great time they shared, is enough to stay married. Well, Arion ain’t letting up no matter how rough, tough and hard Cedes acts. It’s just something about her that turns him on more and more. But first he has to find her. She’s not trying to be found. After finding they left Vegas with more than rings, hangovers and questions, they come to some common ground. All the men are very protective. I love the pressure Ashaun applied to Akira. He prevailed. Connie, Arion is very cool, but don’t come for my Royce. It was like Déjà vu with Bentley. I still don’t play about him and never will. Arion may be richer and the plug, but it ain’t about that with my man. I enjoyed this but Acura? Aston is good though! Wish it were me…lol!

Imo this book was not as good to me as the others in the series. Mercedes was extremely selfish and lack accountability. I wish her her character development showed more growth but instead it was about Arion taming her when he shouldn't have. It was well into 60% of the book she stop being reckless. I wish the book incorporated the other characters from the series. Royce only appeared twice, Genesis one time and his line was hilarious, and Bentley had three features. I would have enjoyed it more if Royce would have met him early on considering they have similar demeanors. I would have enjoy the other ladies giving her advice and how to relinquish being so independent and falling into her soft girl era. The anticipation did not meet my expectations and I hate that. I was really looking forward to reading this book to.

Mercedees is the princess of the Atkins family. Although she was the princess, she was involved. Her cousin often used her skills if another woman was involved.
Arion is the head, the plug, the man of connections. He took his family business and multiplied it.

2.5 ⭐️
Mercedees’ Book was okay. I’m giving it about a 2 to 2.5⭐️. Honestly, I mainly read it because it was short and I wanted to finish the series.
There were moments that I really enjoyed, but overall it was just average. Mercedees had a tendency to jump to the wrong conclusions, and at times her behavior felt over-the-top.
I did love Arion as the male lead. I appreciated that he established expectations for the marriage from the beginning and held firm to them instead of letting Mercedees get away with everything. The story moved very quickly, even for a novella romance, and the relationship lacked some substance. It felt like they went from fighting the situation to deciding to make it work, largely because of the pregnancy, without enough development in between.

The Greeks
This book was worth the wait to me. I loved Mercedees and Arion toxicity. Bentley kept explaining to her that he wasn't wrapped to tight and he showed her. Funny thing is, she is wrapped too tight either. I was here for it all.
Ashaun was no better with Akira. My guy said he had the power to make her reconsider. That took me all the way out. The laugh, I laughed.
This book just goes to show you that it is time for women to accept and embrace their soft girl era. Let me gone head and start twitching up my mindframe. For the record my girl is a lot of talk and ain't a hoe.

Mercedes and The Greeks
I liked this story... as crazy as Mercedes life was i feel like if she really wanted a quiet soft girl life she could have had it. Being the only girl of the cousins would have afforded her that. I loved her turn up though and her being unapologetically herself. Now once Arion came in the picture everything mkst definitely changed. I loved how he never really went in on her. It's like he knew she still wanted him but just had to get use to the idea of them. He did not mind standing on business about her or for her. Now Ashaun and Akira were funny.. wondering if they will have a story.

These Greek men are just as crazy as the Atkins men are but with even more power and influence. Arion and Mercedes are explosive together in every way. They really have a rocky start but learn to make the most of the situation they find themselves in. There is a whole second crazy stalker romance going on in the background with Akira and Ashaun. A lot happened in this quick read but it kept me hooked with all its messy drama and talk of soft girl eras.

okay I was worried
The first few chapters rubbed me the wrong way. The use of the N word amongst the men seemed so out of place. I didn't like it at all. And I'm not a prude by far it just seemed weird and forced.
Anyhoot Mercedees geesh I didn't like her at all. The whole book after they met was her being horrible and for them to be the ages they are she became my second most disliked character second to Capri and before Harvey. I feel like there is more to this saga so maybe that's why it felt rushed and had simple errors.

I rate this book a 3.5. I was expecting a lot more from the overall book. I felt major of the book was spent talking about how spoiled and difficult Mercedees was and how she wasn’t really giving her all to Arion and then boom at the end they were in love. I feel like the ending was rushed and I guess I feel like something is missing from their love story.
I enjoyed Akira & Ashaun, I feel like I understand their love story more than Arion and Mercedees.
All in all I enjoy the Atkins family saga.

Like White On Rice!!!
Fast-paced and entertaining from start to finish! The romance was a slow burn that didn’t fully develop until late in the book, but the chemistry was worth the wait. Arion, Mercedes, and the entire Atkins crew kept me hooked, and the humor had me laughing throughout. I especially loved the unique twist of the family owning nail salons while secretly living a different lifestyle. Mercedes was frustrating at times, but I felt she was more misunderstood than anything. Overall, this is one of my favorite books in the series—second only to Royce’s story.
