No matter where she goes, USA Today Bestselling author Nikki Lynn Barrett hears voices in her head. Instead of calling her crazy and locking her up, her family realizes it's just a product of being an author and allows her to write the stories so that the voices shut up. But they don't. And probably never will. There's no need to lock her up, Nikki knows she'll never escape the voices, not until each and every last story is written. And for every story she writes, about ten or more ideas pop up.
When she isn't slaving away at her computer writing books that will probably make you cry and keep you in suspense, Nikki plots to take over the world one book at a time. What? It's a sickness. One she can't escape!
Books aren't her only addiction, though. Nikki can be found making up parodies to drive her son crazy, and bantering back and forth with her husband, who somehow manages to steal her away from the fictional world she lives in all the time.
Nikki lives in Arizona with her husband and son, where she can be found using every creativity outlet she can find through music, photography, handcrafted things, and random interests that she may pick up from time to time.
I was given this set for an honest review and I haven't found a bad story yet. I've read the first seven books.
Fallen Idol by Nikki Lynn Barrett This is a great story with characters that come alive as you turn each page. It is a story of love and sacrifice, mystery and jealousy of a career that causes tragedy. This author depicts the hardships of stardom reached at an early age and what jealousy if left unchecked can cause. Was it an accident? Kyra doesn’t remember but she was blamed. She is making a comeback but will it last? Then she crashes into a family returning to her home town and meets Matt the tow truck driver who wants nothing to do with musicians, “hates” them all because of his selfish wife who left him and his son to advance her singing career. But the chemistry can’t be resisted, Kyra doesn’t fit the mold he puts musicians in, the mystery starts to unravel. This is a well written story that will keep you turning the pages until the final page. Read to find out what happens. Cross Examination by Denise Moncrief This is a gripping story about a woman running from abuse with her daughter and the detective from Florida trying to solve some cold case murders. He believes there is a serial killer, and Tamara is part of it. Tamara is terrified of her husband, she has lived through abuse but has left to protect her daughter, but the husband keeps finding her and terrorizing her. Can Lieutenant Martin Beck protect her? Should he? Does Tamara know more than she has told him? The author had me hanging onto every word, shivering with the menace of the husband, cheering for Tamara’s sheer strength, crying over the pain and tragedies. I was spell bound to the very end.
Carnival Tricks by Jade Kerrion A story about an honest to God male human called Kyle and Sofia who has a special power but not a full mutant, an almost human. This story is about how people must work together and keep an open mind about other people. Sofia is working as a waitress in a bar and Kyle comes in to be a body guard to a couple of scientists who have a deal. In walks the Mexican cartel. Sofia is brought into the mess when the scientist drags her in. Now Sofia must make the choice to find out why people were killed but needs protection. Kyle must decide what to do and his boss Zaria and his co-workers can be scary, but are they as scary as the cartel? Can Sofia’s small gift protect her? Will Kyle stay by her once he finds out her secret? Will they survive?
Read on in this mystery of the “future”, it pulled me in and kept me turning the pages. The descriptions of the characters and places and activities played like a movie in my mind.
Height of Danger by Nancy and Nolan Radke In this story about a contractor named Chris Galbec; who is building a dam in the Central American countryside who begins having issues, his project seems to be targeted and sabotaged. Owen is his driver, but so much more than that. Chris’ daughter, Laura, he never knew about flies down to meet him for the first time. This story starts off with a bang; literally a landslide and an explosion. Then on her first day/night, Laura is kidnapped, before she even gets to meet her dad. Owen comes to the rescue and hides Laura in the jungle tree tops. In this novel, the mystery of the sabotage and the kidnapping comes to life. The description of the area is breathtaking. The reader can almost feel the heat, see the rain. Hopefully you aren’t afraid of heights. Can Owen figure out what is happening before tragedy strikes? Another page turning story that you; the reader will enjoy.
Six Days of Memories by Stacy Easton This by far has been my favorite story in this series so far. Stacy tells an entertaining story about a female police detective who follows her gut when she comes upon a crash with a Male who is injured, a female who has died upon impact and a body in the trunk. Natasha is the detective, she helps save the male driver and stabilizes him until paramedics can come and get him out. However he wakes up in the hospital with no memory. This accident was a result of swerving past a deer on a rainy dark road, but the contents of the car is suspicious and there are no answers and the only known victim/criminal has amnesia. Natasha takes a chance and goes with her gut; she puts the gentleman under house arrest in her house. She can’t relate a killer to the gentleman who she helped save. Has she made a mistake? The characters feel like old friends, you will cheer and cry along with them. The mystery of the man and the deceased females will keep you guessing. That deer that caused the accident in the first place comes back and ultimately provides the trigger to all of the mysteries. Read to see if the man is guilty? Is Natasha’s gut right? Can the feelings between these two be trusted? I would encourage you to read this novel.
Broken Lies by Sharon Coady. In this story about Niall a body guard, with a background in the Irish Special Forces and Abby a beautiful red head he sees and can’t get out of his mind from the first chapter. It is a love at first sight but little does Niall know what is about to happen. Niall was abused as a boy by his Da, (dad) and his brother, and then he gets shipped to America to be the body guard for Pierce. When Niall decides he wants out, the trouble really starts. Read on to determine what happens when a “shady” Pierce and straightforward Niall and innocent Abby go up against, Niall’s family in Ireland who is more than shady. Will they all survive? Will there be a happy ending? This book brought to life how the other side works. Can someone who was shady in the past be clean in the future, will love be enough? Read on to get the answer to these questions.
Don’t know Jack by Amy Manemann Kate is the owner of a bakery who has run into money problems as a result of her partner Scottie who has gone missing along with the contents of their bank account. Jack the FBI agent who is sent into investigates human trafficking and specifically Scottie who they can no longer reach. Jack must find out if Kate and her cousin Pru are involved. He partners with his friend and FBI agent Logan and Grey his newest partner. Every time Jack is around Kate he sees suspicious stuff going on but the electricity between Jack and Kate doesn’t want him to believe she’s guilty. Read on to see how Jack and Pru handle their situations, keeping secrets from others, Jack because it’s his job, Kate because she doesn’t want to hurt her employees. This story will keep you guessing and some of the small towns characters will make you laugh. The situations the hero and heroine find themselves are very entertaining.
Cypher by Cathy Perkins I’m currently about a third of the way through this story but it is another great thriller. This story starts with the murder of Cara’s best friend who could be her twin and her boyfriend. The killer has a contract on one but thinks it’s just as easy to get two. Cara a wealthy daughter of the founder of Cypher comes home to this mess. She becomes the lead suspect in the mind of the senior detective Pennell, while detective Morris doesn’t believe it for a minute. The story is following the investigation which keeps getting stranger by the page.

What an amazing and engaging collection of Romantic Suspense books. My favorite is Fallen Idol by Nikki Lynn Barrett, but I have been a die hard fan of hers since I first read one of her books. ALL of the books in this set are wonderful stories full of twists and turns and just when you think you know what is going on, another twist comes along and you are back at square one. There is also just enough sizzle and spark to keep things interesting. The characters are easy to relate to and the plot twists keep you guessing. Most of the authors in this collection are "new to me" and I am excited to read more from them,. There were a couple of stories which for me, started out slowly, but I am glad I did not give up on them because they turned into great reads. I would highly recommend this boxed set. You will NOT be disappointed!! I was given a free copy of this set in exchange for an honest review.
What a terrific deal! Lucky thirteen different novels all filled with heat, romance, and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat and not wanting to put it down. From single moms to scientists and waitresses, you will be sure to find stories you will love. One of my favorites was Don't Know Jack. The characters of Jack, who of course thinks he knows everything because he is an undercover FBI agent, and Kate are terrific! Their relationship is combustible and when they are thrown into danger the heat explodes! Perfect series for the hot summer nights. These encounters may be dangerous, but they are so exciting!
This review is for Broken Lies...Love the story line.. They're are quit a number of twists in the story (won't say anymore on that though ,may spoil it. ) The characters are relatable. This is a book that I would let my young teen and my grandmother read and all ages in between. Sometimes you want a story without vulgar languages , raunchy sex scenes and an author who knows how to use a thesaurus. I have read Sharon Coadey before and she never disappoints. So if you want a book that is a good read this one is for you
One great book after another, I have to say this is an amazing of stories. All these authors are great, but you put them together WOW you get a great set.... Lets face it this is a steal at 99 cents..... All these stories will hook you in from the start, there is action and romance and hot males..... Get it today!
***** I received this book in exchange for a honest review!******
Kyra Sanders was a teenage country sensation when an accident caused her to take a break from music and now she has come home after her parents were involved in a suspicious accident.
Matt Greer is a single father raising his teenage son after his ex-wife abandoned them in hopes of making it big time as a singer.
When the two come together after an accident Matt immediately dislikes Kyra due to what she stands for but soon realizes she is way more authentic than what he thought possible.
The two both need to overcome their pasts in order to have a future together but it appears that somebody is after Kyra and Matt will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Yet will he be there when she needs him the most?
I think the author did a great job of explaining anxiety and what Kyra was going through. This book was a great read and I can't wait to read the other books in this series! The author kept me in suspense over who was involved with everything!
Cross Examination - Denise Moncrief
Tamara Slay is on the run from her abusive husband, Scott, with her 3 year old daughter, Gabriella. Yet everywhere she goes Scott seems to find her.
Lieutenant Martin Beck wants to question Scott for an unsolved murder in Florida and ends up in touch with Tamara. After an incident puts Tamara and Beck together, Beck will do all he can to keep Tamara safe. As the two share some information regarding Scott they realize he may be a lot more dangerous than what either of them thought he could be.
As Scott continues to find them will Tamara and Beck be able to find peace or will Scott have the last laugh?
I really enjoyed this book although I don't know how Scott kept finding them. There is a lot of ties-ins that connect as the story goes on but the story is a good one. I enjoyed the relationship between Tamara and Beck and the doubts that would come up as neither knew some secrets the other one had.
Carnival Tricks - Jade Kerrion
Kyle Norwood is a human who hates mutants of all types. He works for Zara Itani at the Three Fates Agency and is at a meet with some scientists that have developed a questionable experiment. Sofia Rios, a low-rate telekinetic, is a waitress at the pub where everything goes wrong and is injected with the microchip by the scientist.
Sofia and Kyle must now work together to figure out what everyone is after while running from both the mob and IGEC. But will Kyle find out the truth about Sofia and that she is a mutant and will that change how he feels?
I enjoyed this book but at parts I found it almost too scientific for me.
Height of Danger - Nancy and Nolan Radke

I have read and reviewed 5 out of the 13 books in this box set (the remaining will be read and reviewed and added to this post). Of the novels I have read thus far, I have found them to be enjoyable, interesting, engaging, well written, and wonderful stories individually and as great additions to this box set. I look forward to reading the others.
Each novel presented such varied characters, story lines, and writing styles while still sticking to the romantic suspense genre.
Having read box sets in a different genres, it is not often that one comes across one that has a majority of well written, truly engaging and highly recommended reads such as this one.
Below are the novels I have read from this collection and my review of each one.

***** "Six Days of Memories" by Stacy Eaton
What an incredible book!! Definitely one of my favorites by this author, although they all really sit at the top of my list as great reads.
With such amazingly strong and well defined characters, a story within a story that takes the reader on several twists and turns and has an incredible ending, Stacy Eaton has written a phenomenal suspense romance novel.
"Six Days of Memories" is engaging, engrossing and written with such crispness and clarity, that putting it down to take a break is difficult. Reading it from beginning to end in one sitting is a strong possibility.
Anyone who likes suspense, strong female and male characters, well written and engaging novels, with a little romance on the side will absolutely love "Six Days of Memories."
Your next must read!!
You can find this novel alone under the authors written works as well as in the recently released box set of Dangerous Encounters.

***** "Special Agent Francesca" by Mimi Barbour
The first book in the Special Agent series, "Special Agent Francesca" is a fun, exciting, engaging, wonderfully enjoyable novel.
Francesca is such a dynamic character who is full of spunk, self determination, and toughness, yet is gentle, caring and has frequent periods of insecurity. While she craves her mother's love and approval, she also is set on proving to her mother that she doesn't need anything from her, including being watched over and protected in her job.
Being such a dynamic character, the author does a superb job at bringing others into Francesca's life that are just as strong and powerful in their own right but all in very different ways and in different roles. It takes some getting used to for the main character, but over time Francesca begins to level out, trust others, and moves towards a more evened pace and way of living, acting and looking at life.
Mimi Barbour has developed quite an intricate plot and several stories within her main story. She brings them all together quite seamlessly and easily without taking away from any story line, character, narrative, etc.
The author has written such a clear and crisp, mysterious and masterful novel, that nothing gets lost or dropped and the reader is drawn in from beginning to end without realizing how quickly time has gone by until the end of the novel.
Mimi Barbour writes a gem of a novel. I will definitely be reading the others in this series. A definite do not miss, must read!!!
You can find this as an individual book or as part of the recently released "Dangerous Encounters" box set.

**** "Knowing Vera" by Rachelle Ayala.
PLEASE NOTE THIS NOVEL IS BOOK THREE IN THE AUSTRALIAN SET BY THIS AUTHOR. SPOILERS IN NOVEL (and potentially in post)
Despite not having read the two prior books in the series, as part of the "Dangerous Encounters" box set, I chose to read "Knowing Vera," as I have always enjoyed other books from this author.
Given that I was reading the book out of order, there was enough detail provided that I had a fairly good idea of what was going on with each character and was able to follow the novel with very few unanswered questions. Despite that, I will go back and read the trilogy in order, despite knowing how it ends.
As per her writing style, Rachelle's characters are always very well written, thus the reader has no trouble understanding their view points, personalities, and actions. As is also part of her writing style, her plot development is in depth and usually contains micro stories within the main story -- all melded very well together.
So as to not give too much away, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and am glad I read it. It didn't disappoint and was engaging and lively. The only critique I have is that during the time in Australia there did seem that some areas could have been condensed to tighten the story line and reduce the back and forth of Carlos and Zach, which toward the end felt monotonous.
I Ioved the areas of suspense throughout the book and the relationship between Zach and Vera. I loved how Vera grew and changed throughout the novel...and of course I loved the ending.
I would recommend this novel, and this author, to all readers who enjoy suspense and romance. But I would also suggest reading the first two books first (although I don't believe I lost a whole lot by not having done so...)
This title can be found individually, as part of a trilogy box set as well as in the just released "Dangerous Encounters" box set.

***** "Murderous Lies" by Chantel Rondeau
What a truly amazing novel!! I was hooked and engaged from the very beginning.
With such an in-depth plot that takes many twists and turns, and strong character development, the reader is easily caught up in the story and has a hard time disengaging if necessary.
"Murderous Lies," is a definitely a "not able to put down read." I put it down once, when it was so late at night I could barely keep my eyes open. But I was right back at it as I soon as I awoke. I couldn't wait to see how it ended...
This is the first novel I have read by this author, but it definitely will not be my last. Whether you read it as a stand alone novel or within the Dangerous Encounters box set, this is a true must read that will not disappoint.

**** "Cross Examination" by Denise Moncrief
Written as an individual novel by author Denise Moncrief, but also included in the newly released "Dangerous Encounters" box set, "Cross Examination," is a well written and engaging romantic suspense novel.
Tamara Slay is written, for the most part, as a very real to life character who has been domestically abused and is on the run from her abusive husband. When she thinks she might be safe, a sheriff from Florida contacts her asking questions about her husband, which leads her to believe that he may not only have been abusive toward her, but very possibly a serial killer. She also realizes from the call that, once again, her husband may have found her.
While she is in the run again, the sheriff from Florida tracks her down and makes it his mission to protect her while also capturing and arresting her husband. As the story unfolds, Tamara works with Beck, the sheriff, in order to have her husband arrested so that she can move on with her life.
There are many leads and dead ends and almost caught him scenarios throughout the novel. This is something which could have easily been condensed and made the novel crisper and more engaging. The same could also be said in regard to the relationship which develops between Beck and Tamara. There were several scenes that seemed almost monotonous throughout with a hot and cold aspect to it, which the reader could easily see through.
I enjoyed the story and the characters, as both were well written, and it was a good and solid read from beginning to end with good character development and story line.
This is a perfect novel for an afternoon read or a beach read... Something any reader will enjoy.
Fallen Idol- Nikki Lynn Barrett- Kyra Sanders is a Country Singer who returns home after several years when her parents are in an accident. She is in a small accident on her way home and meets Matt, the tow truck driver. His son Andrew is friends with Kyra's brother so they see a lot of each other. As Kyra tries to go back to singing after her accident several years ago she has many people against her. If she is going to be happy, she needs to find out the truth about the accident. You must read this awesome romance.
Cross Examination-Denise Moncrief- This was a very interesting story. It is about a serial killer. Was Tamera's husband involved? Lt. Martin Beck thinks he is. Will he solve the case? I highly recommend this book.
Carnival Tricks Double Helix Case Files-Jade Kerrion- I normally don't read this type of romance novel, but I ended up liking it. I would read more of Jade Kerrion's books because of her writing style. This romance novel is about mercenaries that work for Three Fates Agency. Sofia works in a bar. She has a customer, Kyle, that has sat in her section several times. A confrontation happened in the bar. Find out what happens with with Kyle and Sofia. Will they be safe?
Height of Danger-Nancy Radke/Nolan Radke- The CIA sent Owen under cover to investigate why "accidents" were happening on a dam being built in Central America. Chris Galbec was awarded the job, even though his bid wasn't the lowest. Who is sabotaging the worksite? This is a great romance that I couldn't stop reading....
Six Days of Memories-Stacy Eaton- great book, hard to put down once I started reading it. Detective Natasha Foster arrives at an auto accident. She saves the driver, but the female passenger is dead. There is a bag of money and a dead body in the trunk. Of course, no Id's on anyone. The driver does not know who he is. They have a connection, like they have met before. Is he a criminal? Can she let herself fall in love with him? Does he have a family?
Broken Lies-Sharon Coady- Niall worked for Mr. Pierce as a bodyguard. His father had sent him to work with Mr. Pierce. Niall didn't get along with his dad. They went to a bar that his boss was interested in buying. Niall saw a young auburn-haired woman that was obviously being abused by her date. He couldn't get her out of his mind. He saw her in a coffee shop, but didn't say anything to her. Must read to find out if he gets the nerve to talk to her. Does he mend his relationship with his dad and brother? Love her books...
Don't Know Jack- Amy Manemann- Kate Monroe opened a bakery with the help of her friend Scottie. It was going well until Scottie cleaned out their business account. She couldn't get a loan. What will she do? There are interesting twists of events in this romance.
Cypher-Cathy Perkins- What would you do if you came home and found the police at your apartment and 2 dead bodies? Was the killer after her or her dead friends? You won't want to put this romance down until you're done.
Murderous Lies-Chantel- Max Kensington returned home after spending years in jail when he was found innocent by and appeals court for murder. Everyone still believed Max was guilty. Max had to clear his name. At first, Rosemary, the love of his life, and the sister of the girl he supposedly killed, still believed he was guilty. She soon realized in her heart that he couldn't have killed her sister. She sticks by him and helps him try to find the real killer. How many more people will die before they can catch the killer? Will their love reunite them?
Tidal Falls-Jacquie Biggar- This book is awesome, I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more of Jacquie Biggar's books. Sara Sheridan is on the run from her husband. Her husband is a major political figure so he has a lot of "friends" to help him....Can she trust anyone? Even the man she fell in love with that is helping her? Will he betray her?
Suspended Animation-Sylvie Grayson- Brett Rome played for the Vancouver hockey team until his father became ill. Now he plays for the Victoria hockey team and runs Rome Trucking for his father. Katherine Dalton loaned money to her "boyfriend" who was investing in Rome Trucking. After she gave him all of her money, he disappeared. She went to Rome Trucking to get a job. Will she get a job with no experience? Will Rome Trucking get out of debt? Will she get her money back?
Knowing Vera- Rachelle Ayala- I have read several of Rachelle's books. They are all awesome! Before reading Knowing Vera I would recommend, and so does Rachelle, to read Hidden Under Her Heart and Broken Build so you don't ruin the plot line, but you can read this book as a stand alone. Vera is in love with Zach Spencer, but she has to break up with him, at least she thinks she has to. Will Zach love her if he knows the truth about her dad? Is their love strong enough to survive everything they go through to get the truth of who murdered his mother?
Special Agent Francesca- Mimi Barbour- This is a great suspense romance. Francesca moves to Las Vegas to get away from her powerful, domineering mother who is the Special Assistant to the Director of the FBI in New York City. Francesca gets her first undercover assignment. Can she prove to her mom she can be a good FBI agent? Will Francesca and Sean Collins, who goes undercover with her as her fiance end up engaged?
I highly recommend all of these books. They are all great authors.
The 4 star rating reflects a composite of 4 books in the set. Individual ratings: Six Days of Memories - 4 1/2 stars, Broken Lies - 3 stars, Don't Know Jack - 3 stars, Murderous Lies - 3 1/2 stars
Six Days of Memories: I really enjoyed Six Days of Memories by Stacy Eaton. The book is written in first person point of view, from both Tasha and Jay / Jamie's point of view. As the point of view changes, there are times when the author "back tracks" so the reader can hear how the other character experiences and feels about the previous scene. It's an adjustment from when I usually read a book from multiple points-of-view, but I appreciated being able to hear what the other one was thinking in a scene. Six Days of Memories is an emotional read. It's difficult to talk about much of what I liked about this book without giving away spoilers, but the emotion is so strongly depicted by the author through the words of a child that I was riveted. Six Days of Memories is an poignant look into the lives of two people who find their "soul mate" in the most unlikely, and inconvenient of places. The reader is left hanging until the very end to see if Tasha and Jamie are able to overcome their obstacles and find their happily ever after. I won't spoil it - you have to read the book to find out.
Broken Lies: While I enjoyed the story of Niall and Abby, I struggled a lot to get engaged with the story. I felt like I was an outsider looking in, and I felt like that the author was merely skimming over the story instead of digging into the depths of the story. It took me until the very end of the book to realize why I felt that way - the author provides little insights into the thoughts and feelings of the characters. There are times when we are privy to the thoughts and emotions of the characters, but compared with other books where I can read 1-2 complete pages about a single thought process of a character, in this book I found myself reading page after page of just dialogue with little else in between. There were descriptions of the scenes in which the characters were interacting but rarely did I feel like that I could feel what the characters were feeling or experience what the characters were experiencing, and that made me feel that the author merely skimmed the surface of the story. The storyline was interesting but I definitely feel could have been improved had the author incorporated more dialogue into the story to demonstrate the characters actions and feelings, rather than simply telling the readers what the characters are feeling and doing.
Don’t Know Jack: The dialogue and narrative in this book were well written. It flowed well and the sentences were compelling. The story started out promising but unfortunately went downhill quickly for me. Too many times did I have to stretch and eventually suspend my grasp of reality in order to follow this storyline. Too many things ended up just too farfetched and unrealistic to make the story feel plausible to me, making it difficult for me to truly enjoy the book. I found myself reading just to get to the end rather than enjoying the book I was reading. It was fun at the beginning to watch how the two characters took just enough of individual conversations or facts that they had, combined with assumptions they had made that were completely off track from reality, to jump to the wrong conclusion about the other. There were also abrupt changes in point of view between characters in this book. It was apparent that the author wanted the reader to garner the emotions of the other character in the scene as it was happening, but the POV changes were often with warning or a scene break, just going along in one point of view and BOOM, new paragraph from the other point of view for a few sentences, and then back to the original POV. It makes it confusing for the reader to know who is speaking at times when this change was abrupt.
Murderous Lies: I really enjoyed reading Murderous Lies by Chantel Rhondeau. This is my first book by this author. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The author creates a compelling introduction to the story, capturing the reader's interest from the first page and keeping them interested until the final shots are fired! The author crafts captivating suspense throughout the story and keeps the reader guessing until the villain is ultimately revealed - its not who you expect! I love Max's confidence in his feelings for Rose, but his vulnerability after being release from prison was endearing. Rose's struggles with her feelings towards Max war with her feelings about her sister's murder. When Max insists on clearing his name once and for all, he and Rose reach an impasse you aren't sure they can overcome. There were a times that the story got a bit kitschy and cliche, which is why my rating was a bit lower than it otherwise would have been. All in all it is an enjoyable read and a good addition to the Dangerous Encounters box set.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Fallen Idol- Fallen Idol is the story of your not so typical music star, and a single dad. A single dad who has a not so good past with a musician. Kyra returns home after many years away, years of which she's been somewhat hiding because of an accident that happened year's before. She know going home will be hard, but it's time, especially since her parents were involved in an accident. The drive home doesn't end very well but it's how she meets the gruff tow truck driver Matt and his son, Andrew. Kyra and Andrew connect right away which worries Matt, but he might not be too far behind his son on that aspect. This story was great, it definitely isn't what you expect and I love that. This is my first book from Nikki and I'm not dissapointed. Ever word left me wanting more. And the characters were so easy to like and understand.
Six days of memories: Once again, Stacy Eaton is fishing! I mean fishing for readers, because she totally reels you in on this one! I could NOT put it down. I'll probably say this every time I read one of Stacy's books, because well, she's awesome like that! Somehow, Detective Natasha Foster always ends up with the crazy cases in her Town. Yeah! Like Murder. Tasha gets a call to an auto accident scene, but of course it's so much more than that. Like a bag of money in the back seat and a body in the trunk kind of more. Ahh. and the driver of the vehicle has no idea who he is, which adds even more to Tasha's job. It's gotta be tough not knowing who the heck you are. Having to wonder if you're a criminal, Or if you're on the bad side of luck. Tasha and Jay have a connection. Simple as that! A mutual bond, as I like to call it. But as far as Tasha knows, he's a criminal. I love a great mystery and that's exactly what this is. Stacy has a way that makes you feel like you're right there along for the ride of trying to figure out what in hades is going on. I loved it. Plain and simple.
Don't know Jack- An instant spark of attraction between a Feisty Baker and an undercover Agent. How could this not be a great love story? Baker owner Kate has been left to fend for herself when her silent partner cashes out her bank account and flees town. A few months later a sexy new man enters town, little does Kate know, he's an undercover agent. Jack is here to investigate, and get closer to the gorgeous Kate, in order to gain more info on the sleezy, Scott Jensen. I loved this story. The chemistry is hot, the characters are perfect and the story line keeps you reeled in. I really really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more about their friends.
Broken Lies- Two abused souls brought together. This was a lovely story or courage, lov4e, and sacrafice. Niall Is out of his comfort zone, he's never had these kinds of feelings about a woman before. And a mysterious woman at that. Abby comes from a rough past, but she's hoping she can learn to trust this handsome man. Life as they know it is about to take a huge turn. Just when I started getting bored my adrenaline started rushing, the book got really good. I'm not one to leave a book, but I came close. It could have just been me, with different stuff on my mind at time of reading. But, please don't let my opinion keep you from reading this book. It really was great!
Falls- yet another 5 star read for this box set. Tidal Falls had me Hook, Line, and Sinker from the start. My head was literally stuck in this book! Sara and her daughter Jessica are playing "hide and go seek" with her husband. A sorry excuse for a husband if you ask me. When they escape to a small of the map town Sara can't help but fall in love with this place. And in comes handsome, reserved Nick Kelley. Nick is here to escape reality and heal from his past. When he hears of Sara's past its all he can do to help her out. It was a very gripping story that I didn't want to stop reading. Not even for a second. I loved every minute of it, especially the ending.
Knowing Vera- This book will hit your heart. It's so passionate and loving. And to write a story about an amputee takes some guts. But I loved Zach for all that he is. It's been rough for him going through all the changes that losing a leg accompanies. Even though these two are dating, yet not dating you just KNOW their lives are in for a changing. Little do they know their lives are connected from the past. The danger that lurks in this book was my favorite part. I love a little mystery. And The whole time you cheer and cheer for this lovely couple. It was another head stuck in the book read for me. A heart gripping tale that you just wanted to keep reading and reading and for it to never end. I love Rachelle's books.
Rarely is there a box set where you can love all the books within it. This is one of those. Value at the price and good stories. A great mix of authors and stories. They fit well into a set together. Descriptions of the book plots are accurate and I am not including too much detail because you just need to read them. This set will definitely have you adding more authors to your list of faves.
-- Fallen Idol - Can a man burned once trust again. Can a singer prove she is not the spoiled princess people think?. What did happen in the past.? This book was engaging from the word go. wonderful characters -with good supporting characters. -- Cross Examination - intriguing with twists - Love love love a strong woman. -- Carnival Tricks - this one was a good read but definitely not like the others. Took a bit to get into but worth the read -- Height of Danger - Action packed. Fast paced. A pleasure to read -- Six Days of Memories - This was by far my fave. Not only because I am a Stacy Eaton Fan but because this story just flows. This Story just makes sense, moves fast, has no fluff, and has all the characteristics of a romance - smart female lead, strong male lead, mystery, and intrigue. -- Broken Lies - Sharon Coady - could not put it down. -- Don't Know Jack - Amy Manemann. oh oh. most excellent -- Cypher - Award-Winning Author Cathy Perkins - was she really a target? if so why? Is a company more important than family? great characters -- Murderous Lies - Bestselling Author Chantel Rhondeau. If Max didn't do it, who did? Another great story that moves at a good space and keeps you guessing.. -- Tidal Falls - sucked into this one from the beginning. predictable but oh so enjoyable. -- Suspended Animation - loved the story - was sucked in from the beginning. -- Knowing Vera - interesting story - a bit convoluted but definitely suspenseful. -- Special Agent Francesca - Wow! Fast moving and engaging. Believable plot. Loved it! A must read
I have to say that I did not like all the books in this box set. It was bound to happen and I don't think I will pinpoint the ones I didn't care for. Instead I'll do a review on the one that I like the most. There's always a favorite! LOL
Fallen Idol: Kyra is a county music singer who is going home to take care of her parents after a fire breaks out at her mother’s work and they are both hospitalized. Matt is a friend of her family who helps Kyra tow her car when she gets in an accident on the way into town. Kyra had an unfortunate accident and had a nervous breakdown but is trying to mend herself by going back out on tour but there is someone who isn’t going to let that happen. Matt has preconceived notions of Kyra because she is a famous singer but she’s just a regular girl. I like that the author of this story was able to make her human and likable. Matt is a knight in shining armor and of course, the inevitable happens. They start to fall for each other. This is a shorter story but it is very well thought out and flows very smoothly. It packs a lot of info into a smaller story which is a check mark in the plus column for me.
So far I've only read Six Days of Memories by Stacy Eaton, but I'm more than just a little excited to read the rest of the books in this collection if Stacy's book is the example of what to expect from the other authors' stories. When Natasha responds to an accident she finds the driver unconscious, the passenger dead, money in a bag and a body in the trunk. Nothing makes sense, but she goes with her instinct and gut to tell her how to proceed with the investigation. Jay, the name that Natasha gives him is the only name he remembers. He has no idea who he is or what he was doing in that car, but he's willing to do anything he can to help find out and appreciates the extra care Natasha is taking to figure it all out. Their attraction to each other surprises them both and they do everything they can to not let it proceed until they find out who he is and how he ended up in that car accident.
Something for Everyone This box set has something for everyone, stories with romance, and drama and plot twists and thrills. One of my favorites was Fallen Idol. It has so much going for it. You get pulled right into the story. I loved Kyra, Matt and his son Andrew. The story is romantic and and one of those takes that keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next, and just when you think you've got a handle on things the story takes a really short turn and you're like woah. I haven't read this author before I'm glad I got the chance to read her work. I will be looking for more from her. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who enjoys reading, as I said before there really is something for everyone. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love box sets. They are so much fun to read. They give you one specific type of book, and many of that type. That way, you don't have to search for that type of book. You get your fill and then some. These books are full of suspense, romance, and edge of your seat reading. I had a hard time putting each book down as soon as I started reading them. My favorite book is Cross Examination by Denise Moncrief. I absolutely loved reading about Tamara and Beck. Their story is amazing. I loved being able to go on the journey with both of them. I am so glad that I was able to read these books.
An amazing collection of romantic suspense books. Each one was pure excitement until the end and had flipping pages as fast as I could read. What a great bunch of authors. Jade Kerrion is the only author that I had previously read, and she did not disappoint, but what a treat to discover the other wonderful authors. This bundle is a steal!
Loved reading Tidal Falls. Liked the interaction of the characters. It gives a good range of feelings as you read from outrage to humor. Very well written. Looking forward to more in this series.
A fantastic collection of riveting romantic suspense stories by some of the best authors out there. Loved it and found some new authors to stalk err, I mean follow. ;)
I enjoyed most of these while others not so much. Would I do this again? Yes! The titles were consistent with just the right amount of variety to keep me going to the next one.
