Review:
What I absolute love most about reading ARCs is discovering incredible new authors and series, and The Assassin Way did not disappoint! This book completely blew me away, and I am officially hooked. From the very first page, J.M. Kearl delivers a gripping story packed with twists and turns that kept me constantly guessing and desperately turning the pages late into the night.

The world-building is phenomenal, but it’s the characters that truly stole my heart. The Female Main Character (FMC), Aesira, is an absolute badass. Coming from a small village outside of Nighthaven, she is considered an outsider, but she doesn't let that stop her. She is tough, determined, and utterly relentless in her mission to kill vampires. Then we have the Male Main Character (MMC), Vander—he is dark, moody, lethal, and everything you want in an assassin.

The romance between them is so incredibly good. The yearning? Off the charts! The author does a masterful job making you feel every single emotion alongside them, balancing high-stakes danger with intense, slow-burn chemistry.

I will be diving into J.M. Kearl's backlist because this writing is addictive. I honestly could not put this book down and I would love to have book two in my hands right this second. A well-deserved 5-star read!

Thank you note: I received a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author, Wayward, Penguin Random House, and Grimm & Co in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
