I am a transplanted Penn State fan for the past 6-7 years and this book was a gift from a die-hard Penn State fan. It's in the format that apparent exists for many major universities around the country ("100 things ____ Fans should know. . . ). I certainly learned a lot about the history of the sports related to Penn State university and gained a greater appreciation of the bitterness of some of the rivalry teams that are played each year. As I read the book from front to back, a lot of the prose is repeated since many of the items are interconnected with other items. I think if you were just to choose isolated items to read in not any particular order, the repetitiveness is less noticeable. The repetition is necessary to understand the item when it stands alone. Obviously, anyone who has an allegiance to Penn State will really like this book.
