Firstly I want to say Thankyou to the author Tristan Heart for reaching out to me to read their second instalment of mine blue his hazel green book. Holy endings Batman. Tristan heart you can’t leave us like that omg that ending will be with me till the the 3rd and final instalment
"I know it feels like a jail sometimes," Jayden says. "Like you're serving time for a crime you never committed. Outside the bars, people walk around freely, loving whoever they want, living under an open sky without fear. And all you can do is stand there and watch, wondering why they're allowed to have it while people like us are denied the same."
Book 2 takes place right after book 1 with Jacob and Arthur exploring their new found relationship while also dealing with the homophobia and that in small towns. This time we see them take on the music scene in London thinking they’ll be able to hold hands show their love freely and openly but even in big cities they still need to hide even while their new music careers put them in the spotlight. I hope that book 3 gives me all the closure and happiness I want from these two lovely characters I’m rooting for Jacob and Arthur
Holy ending! Give me book three now please and thank you!
Absolutely loved part two. Getting to see more of Archie and Jacob and their dynamic. Seeing how this story is slowly coming together is so well done. I truly am hooked.
In this part we get to see how these two make big promises to each other and have goals to reach their dreams together and see how not everything can be easy and how their relationship can be a bit unstable. I really love Archies mom in this part as well she is such a total sweetheart.
I can't wait for part three to see what the heck is going on with Jacob and if he gets the help that he needs and how Archie and his story will go.
Okay? now I need the next book, because what the hell happened to those sweet babies!! I am still confused, the author is really edging me.
Honestly, I liked that I saw more of their dynamic in this book and it seems Archie is always the first to give up? Is that the reason Jacob is like that. now? I guess we will get to know in the next book as to whose fault brought all of this. Jacob seems to be secrets too!
As much as they made big promises and had big dreams their relationship still seemed a bit unstable. Their relationship kept swaying from one side to another, making it really fragile. I feel something little can easily break it. And all that homophobia is not helping and all these adults involving themselves is messing it up for them(yes I am talking to you director!) . They are really young and I believe they will figure out a way to work it out when they grow older.
I am glad they met an older couple to encourage them , cause it definitely isn't going to be easy once they get in the spotlight.
Archie's mom is such a sweet person. Well his dad is another story and I glad he stood up to him. With Jacob's parents well let's wait till they find out.
I can't wait to read the next book because I want to know, and put everything thing in it's rightful place and at least Jacob gets help for his condition.
Apollo Ascends picks up right after the events of Part One, following Jacob and Archie as they navigate life after school, their growing music career, and a trip to London that changes everything. The first half gave me so much joy—the "good morning boyfriend" texts, the pancakes, the hotel room with city lights. These two boys are so tender and funny and real together.
But this is also a story about what happens when the world finds out who you are. About hiding and fighting and wondering if love is enough when everything is working against you. About promises made in the dark and whether they can survive the spotlight.
I won't spoil what happens. But I will say I cried multiple times. There's a scene involving a confrontation that had me holding my breath. There's a chapter near the end that answers questions I've had since the prologue of Part One. And the final line? Devastating.
If you love queer romance that isn't afraid to hurt you—that understands love isn't always easy but is always worth fighting for—read this series. Just have tissues ready.
Got this ARC from the author for my honest review.
Part 2 continues Archie and Jacob's story as their relationship moves into deeper territory — both emotionally and physically. Alongside their personal journey, we also get to see how they find their footing in the professional music world, which adds an exciting new layer to the story. But even as things grow between them, the outside world doesn't make it easy. Homophobia continues to be a real and present challenge in their lives, even as they build careers. This comes to a head when Jacob is faced with a painful ultimatum — his career or Archie. It's a gut-punch of a conflict, and the answer to it will likely be at the heart of Part 3. The writing continues to be genuinely engaging, and the chemistry between the two characters remains the strongest part of the series. The one area that could use some tightening is pacing — there are moments and interactions that linger a little longer than the plot needs them to, and trimming those would make the story feel sharper. Overall, Part 2 is a heartfelt and compelling read, and it sets up what should be a very emotional Part 3.
I loved this book and every part of it. Jacob and Archies story continues after the first part and I loved it just as much as the first. Their beautiful story progresses in london and we get to see more of their journey. I can't wait for the final part. 🩷🩷
Their relationship continues to grow through sweet moments, heartfelt conversations, and real-life challenges. I loved watching them navigate first love while facing the ghosts of the past and the realities of the future.
Jacob and Archie are easy to root for, and their journey is filled with emotion, hope, and plenty of heart.
This was so sweet 😭❤️ i really enjoyed it! They got to live their dream and made new friends 🥹 but Jacob what the f..k 😭😭😭 can't wait for the third book! ✨
