Firstly I want to say that I absolutely loved this book, it is insanely original and I love the idea of making the choices in the book yourself. It brought me back to the days I played a lot of episode haha.
I came across a tiktok of the author and it inspired me to read this book. The tiktok got me so intrigued that I also immediately bought it and read it haha.
The writing style of the author is really nice, it’s super easy to read but it still feels really poetic. I was surprised to see that not many people have read the book, I guess I am the first to post a review on Goodreads? The book honestly deserve more attention. For a debut novel, it is so so so good. I hope the author will remember me when they get famous!! I also can’t wait to read more of the author, if they ever publish more books <3
Okay, now I want to talk about the book itself. Violet and George absolutely own my heart. I do have to say that I gave Lucas like no chance with the choices I made haha. I wanted to bag that prince so bad, he felt like the right choice for me. I also saw myself in Violet, she’s such a relatable character and I loved to see how she lived through her life and grew older. I loved to see Violet and George their relationship grow, it was so cute and they felt so right together.

The only thing I didn’t really like is how they fell out of love at one point. It didn’t sit right with me. They were so in love and suddenly after having a child, they fell out of love cause they got busy?? It felt a bit weird to me, but maybe it’s just the choices I made in the book. The ending also felt a bit rushed compared to the rest of the book, but again, that’s maybe because of the choices I made.

Finally, I want to praise the author again, cause having this as your debut novel is absolutely phenomenal. You should be proud of yourself. You created such a cute book with amazing choices and amazing characters. I loved almost every second of it and I would surely recommend it to friends. If you ever need someone to proof read more books, I’m here 👀

I enjoyed the interactivity of this book immensely. Every decision I took was considered so seriously it felt like it was my personal life lol.
And while this is certainly a very original idea and grants seemingly infinite endings, at some points it felt like it was making you go in a certain direction no matter what you chose.

An absolute must read!!
I will admit that I was nervous at first about starting this book. I saw a TikTok of it and you know how TikTok books go. It’s hit or miss sometimes. Sometimes the writing is wonderful and other times, well not so much. This felt very put together. I loved the whole book. I got through three separate endings and I believe the TikTok I saw said there were ten? I intend to read it all! Again, I loved this book and loved being able to make the choices!

I REALLY enjoyed this one, but there were still a few frustrations with the plot, and the ending I read from the choices I picked for the story. It was very heartwarming, but the ending I got felt a bit abrupt and I just wasn’t ready for it to end really. I will be going back to see how the story develops for other options, there were some choices that were set as options for the reader, but then the author decided that the option we picked didn’t even matter.
I sat for an entire day explaining what was happening in this book to my husband like we were watching a reality dating show, so the drama was very good, frustrating, and entertaining.
I’m excited to see what comes next from this author, very promising writing, some parts were very romantically written.

hi i saw this in tik tok, and was immediately intrigued. as i read thru the story, i feel deeply connected with the main characters in many ways!! the author represented mental health and grief so well, that i lowkey needed that reminded. she talks thru the characters about things i experienced in my own life, and the fmc, violet, i really resonated with bc she is someone who feels deeply and love freely. whether thru words or her actions every choice no matter what u choose in this interactive narrative, violet always has respect for herself and loved wholeheartedly. Unexpectedly, i love this book sm!!! Now i wanna look into more interactive books 💗💗

The whole concept of interactivity was amazing and I throughly enjoyed it, I loved the ending I got because one, my choices mattered, truly mattered. And two, it was honest given the circumstances given everything I picked, it felt authentic and realistic, not conforming to anything just real pure honesty. I read the two other endings that somehow aligned (or slightly different) with my choices and they still felt correct. I’ll surely read it again one day to make other decisions but i love how this specific path moved me and how i could relate to it to some extent.

Poetic & Beautifully Written
I was in a major reading slump and hadn’t finished a book in years. I picked this book up and finished it in the same day. It’s so beautifully written and well thought out. I haven’t re-read it yet to go through different paths, but I will say the one time I read it portrayed such a gentle and raw relationship between two people that most authors aren’t capable of portraying. I would recommend this over and over!

This was one of the most interesting stories I’ve ever read. I got the princess ending with no obstacles and left Lucas behind to love George. It was fantastic and I enjoyed being able to choose instead of silently complaining about the main character’s choices.
Will definitely reread in the future.

I REALLY wanted to like this. I was really excited and optimistic the first couple of chapters. I thought being able to make decisions would help lead the story, but instead I felt pigeonholed a quarter of the way through. I specifically chose “Do not accept George’s proposal” and within the next chapter I was being told “Nope, I’m going to accept it anyways.” Then why did we have me make a decision?? I never felt so relieved as I did when I saw “The End.” The door felt so wide open when I started, and it just tanked. Part of me wonders if it is my fault since I was making decisions, but these were the choices given to me and those choices ultimately failed. No where in this book from Lucas or George, did I feel the giddy butterflies I normally get from a romance. It just missed the mark for me in so many ways.

Okay, hear me out... I discovered this book through TikTok, and I was immediately intrigued by the concept, writing style, and overall structure. I love when authors get creative with storytelling, so the idea of being able to choose your own path and basically shape the storyline yourself sounded SO fun!!
I actually ended up reading the book twice in one day just so I could go back and see what happened with the choices I didn't make the first time. And while I still really love the concept, I think the execution is where the book lost me a little.
My biggest issue was that I had a hard time connecting with the characters. There was very little character development between the three main characters, and because of that, I never felt like I fully understood their relationships or why I should be rooting for certain outcomes.
On my first read, I kept choosing George because my thought from the beginning was basically, "Why go back to something if you and Lucas broke up for a reason?" But the further I got, the more it almost felt like the author didn't actually want George and Violet to end up together. One of the biggest examples for me was the proposal scene. You're given the choice of whether Violet should accept or reject it, but both choices basically lead to the same outcome. That confused me because it kind of defeats the purpose of a book where I'm supposed to be choosing her fate. If two completely different decisions lead me to essentially the same place, then how much am I actually changing the story?
I also think some of the different paths created continuity problems. For example, on one of my routes, Milo suddenly gets mentioned and I'm sitting there like, "Who the hell is Milo??" I genuinely thought I had missed something, only to later realize Milo was a DOG. From what I understand, if I had made a different choice earlier, where Violet doesn't go to the literary dinner, she would've encountered George no matter what and met his dog more naturally. But because I chose for her to attend the event, that introduction never happened, even though the story later continued as if I already knew who Milo was.
Little things like that made the book confusing because certain paths seemed to assume I had information from scenes that I never actually experienced.
Also can we talk about how Violet LEFT her sister's WEDDING RECEPTION and literally DID NOT even go back to that like I wish we saw a conversation after the fact with her sister. I would've loved to see the aftermath of that decision like was her sister upset? Did Violet apologize? Did they talk about why she left? Instead, it felt like another significant moment happened and then the story immediately moved forward without giving it any real resolution. Moments like this would've also been a great opportunity to develop Violet more as a character and show us more of her relationship with her sister.
Overall, the book felt rushed to me. I would've loved more character development, more background on the relationships, and more attention to making sure each individual path worked as its own complete storyline. I completely understand what the author was trying to do, though, and I think the concept itself is genuinely creative—especially for a debut novel. I discovered this book on TikTok and learned that the style of this book allowed you to “choose your own adventure”. The concept of this was so intriguing but also gave me a bit of fomo wondering what happened if I had chosen differently. As someone who is generally indecisive, it also left me with difficulty choosing in some circumstances of the story.
As far as the story itself, it was beautifully written (it’s been a while since I’ve highlighted so many snippets of a book). The author has a poetic way of describing a scene and feelings that reminded me of how I used to write when I would take the time to write.
The book started out pretty heavy at first and felt really invested in what was going to happen. However, towards the end it fell kind of flat for me and I’m not sure if it’s because I started losing interest in the storyline or bc it felt rushed and somewhat unrealistic.
Not giving away any spoilers here ~ I still very much enjoyed the concept of this book and the author’s writing! I’m tempted to go back and read the other story options bc I’m curious if it would change my perspective of it all.

The writing was beautiful and I was very pleasantly surpised at how well written it was especially for a debut novel that had no reviews when I decided to read it and i found from a tiktok with very little views.
I'm typically taken out of a story when the characters speak too "poetically" because real people dont talk like that, however it makes sense with these characters and there are several lines that are beautifully written and resonated with me.
I really enjoyed the "choose your own adventure" aspect of it, though at times it seemed to be leading you a certain way (in one instance you're given the choice between A or B, I chose B and during the chapters for that choice the FMC realizes she chose wrong and I end up with A anyway).

There are only 2-3 happy endings and the others are actually pretty sad, and I was expecting the opposite (mostly happy endings with a few sad) because i understood this to be a romance book. Definitely a unique concept, especially with the ability to make choices for the main character. Unfortunately, the story just did not click for me. I never developed a strong connection to either Lucas or George, and neither character experienced enough meaningful growth for me to feel invested in who she ended up with. The pacing also felt inconsistent, rushed in some areas while repetitive in others, which made it difficult to fully engage with the story.

bastante interativo. nem sempre me contive, de vez em quando espreitava ambas as opções antes de avançar com a escolhida, e confesso que alguns plots me desapontaram. felizmente, adorei o final que me calhou com as escolhas que tomei!!! senti uma naturalidade neste romance como já não sentia há algum tempo. adorei tantooooo (ainda para mais foi o meu namorado que me ofereceu o livro 🤭)

I like the idea of it but I feel like it could have been done a little better. The characters felt a bit flat and I think the author had a strong bias. Eventually I got bored, so it was hard to maintain my attention.

I came across this book on Tiktok and I’m really happy I did because this was such a unique read. I thoroughly enjoyed having the freedom able to make my own choices throughout the book, resulting in an ending I was very pleased with, which made the book that much more enjoyable!
