The book is majorly based on the Mesopotamian civilization, blended perfectly with science fiction. Ada Mirza, a curator at the London Museum, has spent her life studying forgotten civilizations, believing history belongs safely behind glass. But things take a turn when she is reunited with Zaid.
Both of them go through a tough journey of unveiling secrets; her mother holds DNA with old ancestral secrets. We see a perfect blend of history, science, and investigation in this book, with equal parts character and plot-driven elements.

I absolutely loved the premise and how the author moves the story forward. Some parts of the storyline got a bit complex for me, but overall I really enjoyed the journey. The characters were so well built, and the plot kept me totally hooked. The small elements of romance and the mysterious past were highly engaging.

This book was so good. It’s so interesting to read. It has a concept that is totally different. It looks like reading a whole series completely placed in a book with actions secret powers. The VESSEL by Nusrat Abbasi is a is a science fiction thriller that keeps you hooked from the start to the end.
The book follows the character of Dr. Ada Mirza, who is a 32-year-old senior curator at the London Museum As she handles these antiquities, she begins experiencing vivid visions of alien landscapes with two moons and a strange, intuitive connection to the objects. At the same time, the book follows Zaid Ahmad whom Adha had light from child hold and know the story begins, and the twist starts when Zaid who is in the deserts of Rajasthan one day meets Ada. And from where on the story, keep bringing twist and turns on the pace get fast. And it brings so many new things and a villain too with powers, it also has some aliens involvement. And at the end, the story leaves up a huge opening for the next book.
This book also include a fight, and that fight is for the survival of humanity, so do read this book and do know what happens how they win, and do they really win? And here the Humanity is also connected to an ancient extraterrestrial civilization known as the First Ones.

I picked up Vessel because the combination of thriller, ancient history and science fiction sounded way too interesting to ignore. And honestly? I did not expect to get this invested.
The story wastes absolutely no time. Within the first few chapters, Ada’s quiet life as a museum curator is turned upside down and suddenly you’re travelling across countries, uncovering ancient secrets and trying to figure out who can actually be trusted (every time I thought I had an answer, another question popped up. 😭)
What I enjoyed the most was how naturally the author blended mythology, archaeology and science fiction together. It could have easily become overwhelming, but instead it kept making me curious.The idea of forgotten civilizations, ancestral memories and hidden truths shaping humanity’s future genuinely fascinated me because I love history and it was literally a treat.
