This was a fun cozy fantasy romance!
Poppy is a witch who sets out to be as evil as she can. The only problem is her handsome neighbor, Finic. Poppy decides that if she sabotages his acting career she will be able to get rid of the unwanted fae. Only her magic backfires and now Poppy is discovering that maybe he isn't as bad as she originally thought. Poppy has to decide if she truly wants to be a wicked witch or if she should follow her heart.
I just have to say that there is nothing like a cozy romance with magic to make you forget all of your problems. Poppy was a fun character and I enjoyed the growth she made throughout the book. There were some really cute moments with her and Finic along with many Shakespeare references, wonky magic, and fantastic baking. This book is a true delight that will brighten your day and make you want to fall in love.
Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

I really appreciate Netgalley, Poisoned Pen Press and J Penner for trusting me with this ARC, in exchange for an honest review.
I really wanted to like this book but it was my mistake from the start for wanting to read a cozy fantasy. I believe I'm in denial with this genre, I convince myself I like it but it never ends up being something I like.
Unfortunately, I have given up the book at 50%. I try to really not DNF ARCs as the authors truly deserve for us to read what they have provide us! But I couldn't. It's been many days and I can't, for the sake of myself, continue reading this.
However, I want to say the book is a very lovely story. It's cozy, warms you up in the right places it's just not for me!
The story follows Poppy who is a witch and a fae called Finic. What truly made me not want to follow up was the lack of interest for the main plot. The way Poppy, as a witch that is a bit malicious, wants to 'kick' Finnic out is so goofy. Not in a bad way, maybe, if you love this genre. But for me I really, really struggled to ended it.
I also didn't love the way Finic was cocky at beginning and then lost a bit of his personality. But that's just me.
Nevertheless, the set is adorable! The characters are quite likable. The animals are PERFECT!
But it was not for me, no personal feelings whatsoever!
Thank you again for the ARC!

I received my copy from NetGalley! All opinions are my own!
Sometimes villains aren't great at their job... but they still try!
These three witch sisters are the evil residents of this cozy city... with a plan to rid the theatre once and for all, and get rid of Poppy's fae neighbor.
This was overall a super cute read! The pacing was a little slow for my taste, I usually read a more medium paced book. I'd have loved to get more about the characters! I feel like knowing more about them would really help build chemistry between the characters.
My advice: If you like easy lighthearted cozy reads, you may want to pick this up! It did feel like a quick love sort of book, definitely missing a little chemistry building. Still, it is just an enjoyable story.

I had to DNF this book in the very first chapter. In the prologue the word familiar is repeated at least 5 times across just a few pages. In the first chapter, instead of seeing the main character doing something, she's just info dumping us about her sister and thinking of what happened recently about this character. I don't yet care about this character, why should I care about the info she's telling me? If this book doesn't have a good first chapter, which is where authors spend most of their time, I seriously doubt the rest of the book is worth it.
How sad, I loved the cover and was hoping for a nice read.
NetGalley, thanks for the ARC.

This is the second book in the Weyward sisters series, and I really enjoyed this one, even more than the first! Poppy is such a fun character with her flair for fashion and decorating, and I loved her evil motto needlepoint! But she still desperately wants to be the most evil witch, so when a fae moves in next door, she decides to drive him away.
Like a lot of Penner's books, there's so much baking involved, which is fun. And I really love Oberon as a familiar. You'd think that a raven would be a perfect companion for Dahlia, who loves everything dark and dreary, but Poppy and Oberan balance each other out nicely. And the story is fun, with Finic slowly winning over Poppy, who tries to convince herself she's playing a long evil game with him. With the play and theater plotline, the Shakespeare references were a lot of fun.
Thoroughly enjoyed this cozy fantasy, and I'm looking forward to Dahlia's story!

Firstly, I would like to thank NetGalley and Poisoned Ink Press for this ARC.
This book follows on in a series of three witch sisters and their mission to be evil. As with the first book, Poppy wants to be the most feared and wicked witch in town. However, she also falls in love and goes soft.
Although I found this book enjoyable, and definitely agree it’s a cozy fantasy, I do wish the plot and backstory were more developed. I felt as though all we got from this was that Finic was handsome, a good cook, and a bad actor and Poppy was prone to messing up her own spells.
Overall it was a fun and easy read with a lighthearted storyline. I would definitely still read Dahlia’s book.

Thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for an ARC of this book.
3.5 stars, a fun and cozy read.
When requesting an ARC for this book I was completely pulled in by the amazing cover and the cute synopsis, I didn't even realize it was a series until later. Fortunately, they're stand alone books and it's really easy to read them separately. I had no trouble understanding anything. The glimpses we got of Iris, the protagonist of book one, only made me curious to pick that one up. This series seems really fun.
The concept of these evil witch sisters falling in love in a cozy setting while trying to be evil is so funny. I loved seeing Poppy in the middle of the conflict between her two older sisters (one less evil now, one still very much trying to be evil) and finding her own place in the world. The 'evil' is more like mischief and general vibe of the book is very cozy, but the conflict within Poppy about changing her ways was still clear and well written.
The plot in this book is fairly light and a little silly. It mostly focuses on the romance between Poppy and Finic. There is no spice, just a fade to black moment, which really works with the tone of the rest of the book.
I really liked Poppy as a main character, but I struggled a little more with Finic. He didn't really feel like a full character to me, especially in comparison. It's partly because we're in Poppy's head and we see her thoughts. She has a complicated relationship with her family, hobbies and interests and little quirks that make her very likeable. Finic feels slightly at a distance from the reader, even when the two grow closer. I feel like there was some development missing there, something that would let the reader know the character more.
There were a lot of fantastic food descriptions in this book, which really helped the cozy vibe. I also liked that there was a lot of witchy stuff as well, like the sisters having familiars. Overall, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I definitely want to read the first book now, and I hope Dahlia gets her own book as well.

Thanks to NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press, and the author for the ARC!
Okayyy, so this one's a really fun, cozy read. When I requested this ARC, I was actually totally smitten by the cutie patootie cover and synopsis, I didn't even realize that it was part of a series, glad the books in the series were standalones tho, so yeah, here we are lol.
What I liked the most is how easy the author's writing makes it to picture everything. The scenes just play out in your head. Also, even though it's part of a series, it totally works as a standalone, and I had no trouble following along.
Poppy was a really likeable FMC with all the fun quirks, tho the MMC, Finic, felt a little distant by comparison (for me, okay, for me 😅) he was cocky and smug aaaand all fun at the beginning but then it felt likeee he just lost that personality of him as the story moved forward, aaand I don't know but that makes me feel this sort of feeling like there's something missing, even after or even when the two of them actually grew closer.. maybe its the lack of depth (which of course I know this is some light cozy read so what do I expect? lol) its just that I've finished it (and it's a really good read) but it felt like I didn't still know much about the character(s) story. Not that it ruined this book overall, I just feel like maybeee I could've connect more to the characters, had they been fleshed out "mooore" to us iykwim.
To be fair, some parts felt a little slow to get through. It's doesn't feel like slowburn but it's not likeee a fast-paced story that clicks from page one either, but yeah, once you settle into the details, it works and it's a good quick and cozy read. Plus the whole concept of "evil witch sisters" trying to be evil in a cozy setting is just really funny and entertaining.
The book is enjoyable, but it just fell a little short for me, but it's not bad nor boring, okayyy, maybe I just expected more. Yeah, I think it's good just not exactly what I expected when I requested for it. I enjoyed it and it has a looot of potential just fell a bit short (to my liking, okayyy) 😚

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC. The following review presents my own and honest opinion.
When I read the first book in the Weyward Sisters series, I already knew I was going to enjoy Poppy's story. And good news to everyone who felt the same: All's Spell That Ends Spell does not disappoint! Poppy is the classic spunky youngest sister in our witchy trio and about to meet her equal in her new fae neighbor Finic. Their first encounter might not have gone too well, but as it turns out, Poppy is not the only one hiding who she really is. Luckily they find common ground quickly (gosh I have a weakness for a well written forehead kiss, thank you J. Penner!) which then means we are about to embark on Poppy's journey to finding out that maybe being wicked is not always the only way forward.
While I overall really enjoyed this book, I have to say that the first half of the book almost felt a little too cozy (if that is even possible) with not too much happening at times. Then again, I might have just been spoiled with Iris' story and her life and death witchcraft on the first few pages. And luckily the wait definitely pays off when everything comes together in a dramatic fashion that sees not only a happy ending for our new favorite couply in Dawndale but also a reunion for the Wayward sisters.
Whether you are looking for a cozy fantasy romance escape in book form or are simply curious if a story can make you feel emotionally attached to a crow (spoiler: yes it will), All's Spell That Ends Spell is a fun and easy read that will deliver.
By the way: While this could technically be read on it's own, I implore you to read Death Meets Cute first for the full witchy experience :)

I have to admit, I have a weakness for books that mix magic, romance, and a little bit of chaos… and All's Spell That Ends Spell absolutely fed that obsession. 🖤✨
J. Penner brought me back into the world of Death Meets Cute with a story that was wonderfully witchy, playful, and romantic. There’s something so much fun about a story that can balance magic and mayhem while still giving you plenty of heart.
I really enjoyed the characters and their dynamic. There was plenty of chemistry and banter, and I loved watching their relationship unfold amongst all the magical chaos. 👀🔥 It gave me those moments where I was smiling at the romance while simultaneously wondering what disaster was about to happen next. 😂
The magical atmosphere was definitely a highlight for me. It had that cozy-but-chaotic feeling that makes you want to curl up with the book while also yelling at the characters to please stop making questionable decisions. 🔮🖤

Thank you NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this electronic ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
J. Penner has done it yet again with a cozy, feel-good witchy romance. Poppy Weyward just wanted to focus on her baking and being more evil than her sisters but in the end she ended up not only getting her own “happy ever after” but the Fae she set out to destroy and make a mockery of ended up getting a career in the very same field Poppy set out to destroy his reputation in. This book had me laughing, crying, and everything in between. You really get to watch the relationship between Poppy and Finnic bloom into something beautiful while witnessing their troubles along the way which just solidifies their bonds.
I loved that we got to see Iris and Dahlia again and even got to see Dahlia’s “soft” side some as well. And of course how can we forget Oberon? Oberon quickly became one of my favorite characters in this book. Not only was he Poppy’s familiar, but he truly was Poppy’s best and sassiest friend who genuinely wanted what was best for her and only wanted to see her happy.
I appreciated that even though I had read Death Meets Cute, the story would not have been any different or affected had I not. This book stood on its own and only gave nods to characters from the previous book but didn’t punish you if you hadn’t read it.
If you are in the market for a super cozy, witchy romance this fall season, I highly recommend picking this book up and snuggling in for a fun read!

3.5 rounded up to 4! What a cozy witchy fall read! It is a quick, charming, and easy read with a unique theater element to it (Shakespeare references included). I smiled a lot when reading this book (like anytime Poppy said "Snails", how endearing... OR when she was making a classic vanilla cake and sleeping draught in tandem lol).
Poppy was funny and quirky, and Finic was so adorable and caring (the waterfall picnic!! Let me melt into a puddle real fast). I loved seeing their story develop and Poppy trying to choose between her "evil" ways & falling in love. It was a light take on enemies to lovers with banter that had me laughing (sad flapjack).
Since it was cozy it was of course very low stakes. With that being said, do I wish the characters were a little more fleshed out with some depth & backstory to them? Yes. It made it difficult for me to care too deeply about the characters / story, but I don't think that was this book's goal, hence my rating round-up. It is unabashedly a sweet whimsy love story that had me laugh and smile, and don't we all need that sometimes?? Light a pumpkin spice candle, grab a blanket, and just get lost in Dawndale for a bit.
Thank you J.Penner for bringing this story to life! And thank you Poisoned Pen Press & NetGalley - I am very thankful.

Poppy Weyward is evil and so are her sisters. Well, one of her sisters now. It’s a long story.
But now she’s living in the same village as her sister, Dahlia. So when a neighbour moves in next door and is RUDE and OBNOXIOUS after she SO GENEROUSLY makes muffins?
AND the Globe, the local theatre, has put advertisements at all the doors advertising their tryouts for their play. Including Poppy’s door. Poppy, who hates the theatre for reasons that are very much her own. And rude neighbour Finic wants to try out.
So obviously Poppy and Dahlia decide to ruin the show.
Poppy is a very fun character - she’s bright and colourful and loves to bake and crochet evil messages on throw pillows in her pink house. She may be evil, but she has style. She has flair. She is unapologetic about who she is and what she likes- except for Finic.
I also think it’s really cute that the three sisters have familiars that really match another one of their sisters. Poppy has Oberon, a crow who would really suit her sister Dahlia with her all black aesthetic and gloomy demeanour. But Oberon is perfect for Poppy and i think it helps the sisters remain close to each other, to have a piece of one of their sisters with them at all times.
Anyways, if you enjoy yearning and romance and subterfuge and personal development with a mix of magic and baking, you’re in for a treat.

I greatly appreciate Netgalley, Poisoned Pen Press and J Penner for trusting me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This book was an enjoyable return to Dawndale, of course, filled with cosy magic, mischief, chaos and delicious food.
Poppy was quite easily the highlight of this book for me. I enjoyed how nuanced and layered she felt beneath her determination to be “evil”. Her mental struggles between this goal and allowing herself to form genuine attachments gave her a lot of heart and ultimately brung to life the same joy we got from Death Meets Cute. I enjoyed her growth throughout the story and thought the ending matched her story perfectly.
Unfortunately I really struggled for this same attachment with Finic. He was charming and entertaining but lacked the same nuance or depth we got with Poppy. I would have loved to see him form some friendships with other characters, maybe those from the production or other towns people.
Overall, I did enjoy this book for all its cosy and whimsical nature. I loved the ending for Poppy especially. I also feel my difficulty connecting with Finic may have been amplified by my own expectations as I loved Death Meets Cute so much. But this is still a sweet addition to the Dawndale world.

Rating: 3/5 stars
This cozy fantasy installment is a charming, lighthearted sequel that follows Poppy, a witch attempting to embrace her wicked reputation, only to find her resolve softening along the way.
The novel excels at building a whimsical, stress-free atmosphere with a truly adorable premise. Poppy’s internal journey toward figuring out her own identity is engaging, and side characters like Oberon bring a lot of heart and humor to the narrative. The overall vibe makes it a very easy, comforting book to unwind with.
However, the execution falls slightly short in terms of depth and pacing. The plot and character backstories feel a bit light, making certain sections drag. Additionally, while the dynamic between Poppy and Finnic has plenty of sweet moments, the romance lacks the spark and tension needed to make their connection feel fully earned.
Overall, it is a cute, whimsical read that delivers on comfort, even if it does not leave a huge impact. It is still a fun continuation of the witchy sisterhood, and I am definitely curious to see where the series goes next in Dahlia’s book!

3.5 Stars rounded up to 4 stars!
I simply loved book 1, so I am very glad I got the ARC for book 2! I've always wanted to be someone who liked reading romance, but I never have! I've found, however, that I quite love cosy, magical adult romances with no spice, in the vein of Rachel Morgan and J.Penner, and if that is your vibe, you'll definitely enjoy this book!
Sexual tension and Yearning > explicit smut any day, and I love that about J. Penner's series on the Witch sisters Dahlia, Iris, and Poppy. A clearly adult romance between two experienced people, but it's LOVE, not insta-lust, that gets them to the end, and I adore that!
Also, if you are a foodie, you will love this whole series haha. The descriptions of the food are just *chef's kiss*; make sure you keep some desserts next to you! My one issue (the same issue I had with Book 1) is that the concept of "evil" in this book is...not actually evil? It's essentially just being unpleasant and rude to people, which isn't ACTUALLY evil, more just selfish and mean, sooo...
This has re-read potential for a rainy day when I want something low-stakes and fun to read. Thank you, NetGalley and PoisonedPen Press, for giving me this ARC in return for honest feedback!!!

~This is a spoiler-free ARC review.~
A coziest Shakespearean tribute.
This is the second book in the Death Meets Cute/ Weyward Sisters series – an ultra-cozy romantasy series centered around the witches from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
All’s Spell focuses on Poppy Weyward as a mysterious, handsome new neighbor moves in across the street. Poppy was such a fun FMC! She’s desperate to be utterly diabolical (a theme with the sisters) but surrounds herself with color, wants to learn to bake, and does evil cross-stitch (oOoo!!). This book was like a spell from a witch's cauldron; bubbling over with silly magical antics, character chemistry, and heartfelt connections.
My only criticism of this series so far is that I wish there was a little bit more development to the characters and plot. That said, these books are short, cute reads, and that can be a wonderful escape from the real world.
I’d check this series out if you enjoy very cozy stories with witches, baked goods, and cute animal familiars.

Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press for the opportunity to read this early!
All thoughts are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to receive an ARC of All’s Spell That Ends Spell by J.Penner
Poppy Weyward has one thing on her mind, to prove she is the wickedest witch in Dawndale. She must remain focus which seems to be difficult when Finic, an infuriatingly handsome fae, moves next door.
Determined to have the local theatre shut down and to get rid of Finic, what better way than to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Finic is determined to get the lead and become an actor, the issue is he is absolutely terrible.
Poppy casts some spells helping Finic get the part, but when she starts to help him run lines to ensure her plan plays out, Poopy’s plans start to unravel. She starts to get discover she has feelings for him. Spending time with him has made her soft, changing her from her wicked ways.
Finic and Poppy feel safe enough to trust each other, to open up with each other and to learn what type of person they want to be.
‘Of course her family and Oberon cared about her, but anyone outside her witchy circle would have ruined her witchy reputation. Poppy Weyward would not go soft…unless it was for Finic’

All Spells That End Spells follows Poppy Weyward, who is determined to be the wickedest of her witch siblings and has no interest in romance or attachments. But when her attempts to sabotage the charming fae next door, Finic, accidentally make him the town’s newest heartthrob, her plans quickly spiral out of control and she starts questioning whether being wicked is really what she wants after all.
This was such a cozy and lighthearted read, and I really enjoyed how easy it was to get into. Poppy was definitely my favorite of the sisters. I really liked seeing how much she changed and developed throughout the book, especially as she started figuring out who she was outside of what everyone expected from her. And Finnic was the sweetest. I loved how kind and supportive he was with Poppy, and their relationship was really sweet to watch. I’m still not completely sure how I feel about Dahlia, but I’m definitely curious to see more of her. If there’s going to be a third book, I’d be excited to read it and see where her story goes.

I was mildly disappointed in All's Spell That Ends Spell. I was expecting a cozy fantasy and got a romantasy instead. I know a lot of people confuse the two--here is how I look at it: A romance/romantasy plot is focused on the romance. A regular fantasy or fiction book may have romance in it, but that is not the main focus. I have read one other book by J. Penner: A Fellowship of Bakers and Magic. This is a cozy fantasy--while there is a small romance subplot, the main plot is about the baking competition and the friends made. This is what I was expecting with All's Spell That Ends Spell. This was not the case. The entire story revolved around a woman and her love/hate relationship with her neighbor. And, just like with A Fellowship of Bakers and Magic, the guy keeps showing up no matter how many times she kicks him. It's just not realistic.
Also, how many times can you say the guy is handsome during the first meeting?? And he's rude and overbearing during the first meeting, but sweet and kind after that? It was a bit jarring. Plus, it was hard to root for the main character, Poppy as she is just all over the place. Overall, this book was not for me.

This cozy paranormal/fantasy romance is the second book in the Death Meets Cute series of interconnected standalones. You could read them out of order, but there would be moderate spoilers.
FMC witch Poppy Weyward is the youngest of the sisters, trying to get up to some evil mischief mixed in with crafts and baking. When annoyingly handsome fae MMC Finic comes along, she hatches a plot to get rid of him and the local theater group, but of course, things go awry.
I really enjoyed this book, and as a theater nerd myself, I appreciated the references to Shakespeare and overall plot involving the rehearsals and production. Poppy is a relatively sunshiny, if somewhat misguided FMC, with her grumpy sister and raven familiar giving her some pretty bad advice. The story was lighthearted and charming, with a sweet closed door romance.
Overall, a really fun addition to the series! The FMC's sister, Dahlia, was a prominent character, so I'm interested to see if she gets her own HEA next.
Spice: 2/5
Plot: 4/5
Writing: 4.5/5
My Enjoyment: 4.5/5

All’s Spell That Ends Spell is such a fun, cozy little witchy romance. Poppy Weyward is determined to be the wickedest of her siblings, and I loved how seriously she takes her villainous reputation while also being very invested in perfecting her baking. Then Finic moves in next door, and her plan to use him as the perfect target for her spells backfires spectacularly when she accidentally turns him into the town’s newest theater star and resident heartthrob.
Poppy and Finic were the highlight for me. She starts out determined to hate this annoyingly handsome, self-important fae, only to discover that he’s actually kind and funny—and much harder to dislike than she’d prefer. Watching her magic repeatedly misfire while she tries to maintain her wicked image and ignore her very obvious feelings made this such an entertaining read. I also loved the tension between Poppy’s sisters pushing her to protect the family’s villainous legacy and Poppy realizing she might actually want the happily-ever-after she’s spent her life pretending she doesn’t need.

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5 stars
A cosy, witchy read full of magical mischief, delicious food and a witch who is really not very good at being evil.
I really enjoyed Poppy! Her quirks, following her heart, and her relationship with her sisters made her a fun character. The cosy atmosphere, witchy vibes and theatre setting, were also highlights for me.
However, I struggled to connect with Finic as much as I wanted to. He started off cocky and charming, but I felt like something was missing as the romance developed.
The pacing felt a little slow in places, and while I enjoyed the story, I never quite fell in love with it the way I’d hoped.
Overall, this was a sweet, light-hearted read with plenty of cosy charm. It didn’t completely cast its spell on me, but I still enjoyed my time in Dawndale and would be curious to see where the Weyward sisters’ stories go next.

This was such a charming and cozy read! I loved the whimsical atmosphere, the quirky characters, and the mix of magic, humor, and romance. Poppy was a delight with her colorful personality, mischievous nature, and determination to embrace her witchy side. Her plans and the way things unfolded made for plenty of amusing moments, and I enjoyed watching her grow throughout the story. There is something so enjoyable about a character who is a little chaotic but still has a soft side waiting to be discovered.
The romance added plenty of sweetness, and I loved all the little details that made this story feel so special. Between the magical mishaps, cozy moments, and playful banter, it was an easy book to get lost in. It is lighthearted without feeling dull and has just the right amount of charm to leave you smiling when you finish. If you are looking for a feel good fantasy with a touch of romance and plenty of cozy vibes, this is definitely worth picking up!

When I applied for this ARC I didn't realise it was the second in a series, but it wasn't a problem for reading this book at all.
I absolutely adore Poppy and Finic, and I think it's funny how Poppy tried so hard to be evil while baking cookies and being an all-round softy. The stakes, to me, didn't feel that high and most tension comes from Poppy's inner conflict, which gets fuelled by the people around her.
I would definitely call this a cozy fantasy, where family is an important factor.
I'm not really sure how I feel about the "witches are evil but love makes them good", my personal preference would be either cozy witches or evil witches that find love but stay true to their roots in some way. However, that is definitely personal taste.
This is a nice, cozy read. I would recommend it even more for theatre kids!

I loved this book! I appreciate that Poppy is different from her sister Iris (FMC in book 1). Poppy introducing herself to a new neighbor, Finnic (fae), and he meets her with rudeness and she in turn wants to sabotage his acting gig, honestly I get it 🤷🏾♀️ Poppy’s denial and confusion of her feelings towards Finnic (MMC) made me giggle. The chemistry between Finnic and Poppy wasn’t rushed but rather well paced and developed. I can see their connection and the romance is clearly there. I absolutely loved the character development of Poppy, she was able to reflect on what happiness looks like and challenge her ideas from her older sister Dahlia.
Tropes you can expect to find: This is a low stakes, she falls first, witch x fae, Shakespeare references.
Overall 5/5
Thank you for the ARC 🙏🏾🙏🏾 @netgalley

I was so excited to read this. After reading Death Meets Cute at the beginning of the year I was so excited to read this. And it didn’t disappoint
Following Poppy who’s happy to spend her days baking, doing needlework and contemplating hiring a dragon, her life is suddenly turned upside down by her new fae neighbour Finic.
After getting off on the wrong foot, Poppy decides to try and embarrass Finic into leaving town. But what starts as a ploy to chase the fae away quickly turns into something else
I adored Poppy. I resonated with her at points of the story as her need to find herself and get out from under her sisters overbearing nature felt similar to how I was feeling when I read this
This was so cosy, the settings described well enough that I could picture everything clearly without it being overly flowery or over the top. I’m hoping Dahlia gets her own story soon because I’d love to see the eldest sisters story

All’s Spell That Ends Spell was such a light, quick, and sweet read! I had a lovely time returning to this world, especially since I already read the first book in the series and have really grown fond of both the characters and the whole series.
I especially enjoyed the theatre setting—it added such a fun and lively atmosphere to the story. Poppy and Finic were a delight to follow, and I loved the dynamic between Poppy and her sisters. Their relationship brought plenty of funny and heartwarming moments. And, of course, all the delicious baking and sweet treats were an absolute bonus!
This was exactly the kind of cozy, charming read I was in the mood for. It made me smile, and I really enjoyed spending more time with these characters. A very sweet addition to the series!

3.5 out of 5 stars.
This series is definitely a cozy one. The stakes aren't super high; it isn't super complicated. And sometimes that is just what you need.
Similar to book 1, I still don't really understand why the Weyward sisters feel the need to be so "evil" (though again it still doesn't seem like they do anything that evil besides glower and be rude). Their father going good has been brought up and how they don't agree with that.
I definitely feel like there's something deeper to Dahlia that I hope will be explored in a third book.
I love Finic's character. I love that he has a flaw. I "enjoyed" how his pain/hurt was portrayed after he overheard Poppy and Dahlia.
There are some things that I felt could have had more depth. But overall, a cute story that was and an easy read.
