She's finally immortal, and Tallis is hers. Nothing can stop them, weaken them, or slow them down. Nothing but the twisted world they live in, that is.
Aria learns that things can happen too fast, even good things. Struggling with being a new immortal, she tries to balance life and reality, two things that don't necessarily work so well in her world. But she isn't as good at separating it as everyone else seems to be. Magic comes with a heavy price, and the debt seems to only grow. Aria learns that magic also comes with a burden when you are gifted too much. It's seductive to feel the powerful draw, to know you hold lives in the palm of your hand, but is she strong enough to withstand the temptations?
The darkness calls. The paradigm shifts. And nightmares come true.
OK so i can devour CM Owens books but she is a huge fan of (INTERRUPTIONS) It appears no one in any of her books have any privacy......
And Tallis what a 24 caret plonker, i mean really i never read someone so annoying and immature... i just hope Jared ends up the leading man.....
I find alot of CM Owens books work similar... Somewhat ordinary paranormal person comes into powers becoming phenomenal, Meets the leading man try to get down and dirty (Always, always get interrupted) some catastrophic misunderstanding happens between them (usually involving a love triangle)... they overcome it happy in the end all this while fighting a force that could end the world as we know it.
I love her books and the angst it builds and has always been a 5 star from me... Just this time im marking her down one as its all becoming a little similar and the interruptions.... she needs to write in doors that lock or phones that turn on silent.....
Still amazing writing characters and world building... And love Amelia and Lokan (Now that is a leading man i could get on board with, if they were not related or that he diddn't smell of rot... Could always buy him a stick of deodorant i suppose)
‘Rough Diamonds’ is gradually picking up speed towards an epic finale! The story line is getting better and better, with brilliant twists and turns that will leave the reader wondering what sort of conclusion this amazing series is going to have!
* Well, read my opinion on the first book, and you know my opinion on the rest of the series! The third is a better than the first ones in terms of plot, grammar and spelling. You can see authors growth. :)
Absolutely loved this book!! This whole series is amazing as is every C.M. Owens book and series!! I love the characters and the plot, this book had me sobbing and laughing hard!! Can’t wait to read the next book!!
I think a speck of dust got into my eyes while reading the final few chapters of the book! This book was better than the other two books; the emotion ran high and more actions plus awesome powers! I just wished it was longer.
Another great book in this series. Absolutely loved reading this story ❤️❤️❤️ into battle they will go, 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don't think I loved this one as much as the second book, and there were definitely a few moments that felt a bit slow at times but, nevertheless, really enjoyed the book. Looking forward to the next one but I'm so sad because I know it's the last one in the series.
this book was infuriating with the relationship drama with tallis. uggghhhh boys. still giving it a 4 for the continuing of the plot. but man the drama irritated me
This is the continuation book 3 of the coveted Saga.
This continues the story of Aria coming into her new powers as a witch and chosen one of Isis.
Aria's powers increase dramatically in this book and that was probably my favorite part. She has no idea how to control them and her magic just does it for her. I thought in this book it would all come together for her and Tallis since there is nothing to keep them apart... alas there's plenty of drama on the way and a pretty fast paced story line. The war is now hotting up and Aria is having to learn her powers pretty quick as she is the only one who can defeat Drakus. She looks for help from Lokan who she has an unlikely bond with as he's a baddie. Well i say baddie i'm kinda hoping he can become one of the good guys as he feel's the bond too.
I think the relationship between Tallis and Aria keeps you gripped throughout. I actually love Tallis i just think they both need their heads banging together lol Another fab relationship in these books is Aria's friendship and bond with Amelia her best friend and empath. They're so cute together and i love the banter between them.
As with the others i loved this book! There is a cliffy so beware but at time of doing this review the final book Twisted Gems will be out in two days!!! eeeeeek so excited for the final battle!
Bk 3 of 4 - What a fantastic book, brilliantly written as always. As much as I enjoyed the previous 2 books, this genre/type of book is not my normal read, however this book for me personally, is what has turned the Coveted Saga into an amazing great series.
Aria finally has her immortality, with that comes consequences as it becomes more than obvious that Aria is extremely special/gifted.
After a particularly upsetting vision, Aria makes a choice, unfortunately that choice causes untold problems with Tallis.
Aria seeks out Lokan hoping to convince him to sign the treaty she has drawn up in order to try & change the future from her vision.
The Weislen & Verdan group decide to relocate to Tallis's safe house. The situation between Tallis & Aria is fraught as ever & is tested further with the arrival of Sophie. I should point at at this point I'm absolutely furious with Tallis - be warned!
An absolutely fantastic read!!! But it also leaves you with so many questions about how the story will continue!! Like Loken he has me intrigued. he has so much knowledge about magic and what is happening in the world of magic around him will he have a bigger roll to play as the story continues and assist Aria further? Will she be able to get him to join the light? Then there is Tallis he has had me wanting him to slap him up side the head in this book! So frustrated that I wanted to shout at my kindle what the f**k are you doing! Lol Near the end when she said "it's not that easy anymore Tallis. You don't get to just kiss me and everything be okay. I'm tired of being weak" I was like hell yes!!!! The big question how is it going to work out for Tallis and Aria? Or maybe how will this rift be fixed? Have to said that Desmond, Jay and Amelia are just to funny!!! Loved them!!
Loved the story and the bonds between all characters especially the one between Aria and Amillia.Loved Aria and Tallis although I wasn't happy at they way they ended... not at all. You feel the emotions of all. When Aria's heart was broken I felt like mine was broken, when they cried I cried. Truly a C.M Owens fan and a Coveted Saga fan and can not wait until the final book. Tons of love and action! Definitely worthy the wait. P.s you may end up really liking Lokan... he's not half bad
Disclaimer: I don't think I was the target audience for this. The main characters are teens--and act like it. The logic is typical of an immature teenager, and I found myself irritated by it. If I'm going to read about teens, they need to be mature teens. These are not. I did, however, love the paranormal world Owens creates.
In this, the love triangle is wrapped up, but I still feel that that whole plot line wasn't necessary.
This book left me hanging. Who do I want her with? How do I want her to Evolve? I love the love story between her and Tallis but am glad there is drama bc it seemed more magic forced at points and not heart love. I like Lokan and am glad he has a soft spot for Aria. I can't wait for the last book to come out. I know this is short and sweet but I hate giving things away.
Just finnsh really good confusing with all the names being almost the same lol
With Aria having so much darkness with her powers I wonder how it will change her. For good or Bad ?
tallis is an ass he always the one giving up now the soul mate bond is broke it's unknown how they will fix things this time I hope that the next book is out real soon. rough diamonds ended to fast for me.
It was hard to see Tallis and aria finally come together just for issues to pull them apart again. I do like the whole idea of real feelings and not just bonding though. As for the main story things certainly heated up in this book. There is a lot going on that I can’t wait to see what happens.
FINALLY! She made it to the land of the powers, of course now she has new obstacles to overcome. This story was a wonder next step in the series. I cannot wait to read on. Is she a good witch or a bad witch? Will she keep the love she fought so desperately for? I guess you will just have to read the book to find out....
Damn, I loved this!!! I CANNOT wait for the final book to be written and published!!! *Heavy emphasis on 'cannot'.) I'm so glad that this series was actually published in the first place, even if in backward writing - by that I mean past tense. Oops.
I've read most of cm owens books and none of them have disappointed me, I've, loved all of them. I can't wait for the next book and I hope aria and tallis get a happy ever after xxx
Holy crap, where do I begin?! I LOVED IT!! I had to take a breather a few times because of how epic it got. I am pretty stumped on what to say. It was that good. It is a definite MUST READ!!
An absolutely thrilling continuation of a really good series. Aria's training continues, her magical powers are stronger and enemy attacks are more numerous. Doom and gloom is in the air. A lot happens and it's not all good.
I like CM Owens but this series is definitely not her best work. The heroine is annoying at best and her love interest's character is so flat I don't see the appeal no matter how many times we have to read about how supposedly hot he is.
It was soo cheesy but for some reason I kept reading. It felt like half the book was corny romance talk. My eyes hurt from them rolling so much. The only reason I give it 3 star is because the ending was more exciting and left me curious for the last book.
This just keeps getting better and better. You can definitely see C.M has improved her writing as her story continues. I want this saga in paperback and in a movie!
