Firstly, I liked the edges pages which echoed the front cover. It's 388 pages, so a good length for a novel, broken down into small chapters of a few pages. The protagonist is a great character, we find out plenty about him throughout the novel and the supporting cast are also great. I really liked the development of his nemesis, Dr Khyller, who was an excellent 'baddie'. There is mention of James Bond from the Mail on Sunday and I would agree this is a definite influence. Although the story flowed relatively well and was a good page turner, I just got sick and tired of all the name dropping of high end brands and weapons and A moves etc. Just tell me he had a gun, not what make, what reload speed, accuracy, when and where made, for whom blah, blah, blah. It just read like the author had done a Google search on different cities, foods, clothes, cars, weapons etc although in the acknowledgments he mentions various people who have helped him out with 'fight scenes' etc. Dude! It's a book, not a movie! Enjoyed reading but wouldn't read again or recommend I'm afraid.
