Some stories simply leave you happier than when you started, and this was one of them.
Harper’s journey of rebuilding her life after divorce felt honest, relatable, and incredibly rewarding. Watching her slowly choose herself again and rediscover what she wanted made her growth feel earned, even during the moments I wished she’d trust herself a little sooner.
Austin completely won me over. Despite the age gap, his patience, kindness, and emotional maturity made their relationship feel natural and deeply supportive. Their chemistry was undeniable, the romance developed at just the right pace, and the spice complemented the emotional connection without ever overshadowing it.
The cozy small-town setting, lovable supporting cast, and wonderful found family elements added so much warmth to the story. Grams and the friend group brought plenty of humor and heart, while the banter kept me smiling throughout.
I finished this book with a huge smile and can’t wait for the next installment.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS STORY!!! I couldn’t put it down. This is definitely a must read. I can’t wait to read Boone’s story!
Harper-Even though I wanted to smack you a couple times in the beginning, I did fall in love with you by the end. The way you gave up your future for someone to just have them flip your whole world upside down. Girl, you pulled up your big girl pants and did what YOU needed to, to find yourself and follow your dreams. AND YOU DID THE DANG THING!!! I really enjoyed following your journey. It hit home at times. Really had me thinking about some things. You’re sassy, strong and tired of the BS. You weren’t taking no for an answer. You put yourself first and found your happiness.
Austin-You may have been younger in age than Harper but I couldn’t tell. You had such a good head on your shoulders. The way I fell in love with the man you are from the very start. Your personal growth was amazing. I loved how supportive and understanding you were with Harper. Always taking it at her pace, never rushing her and always checking in to make sure she was on the same page. I could gush about you all day.
Spice-Perfect amount of spice. Very realistic. The spice style fit with both personalities of the characters. It was placed exactly where it was meant to be and made complete sense. The spice was spicing. lol
Side Characters-You’ve got everyone in this story but no one over shadows the MCs. Everyone had a place a time and made sense with what was being written. I actually liked all the side characters. Grams is my favorite though. If you want a found family, you’re going to get it in this series for sure.
I can’t wait to see what comes next in Stillwell.

“I’m totally gone for this girl.”
And I think I’m totally gone for the way this story ended up being so beautifully fateful. It is lovely, after all, when they start off on the wrong foot but still find their way right back to each other. It’s also something about a dual POV when it’s done right; as a reader you know exactly what both characters think and feel and just cannot wait for them to realise that they want the same thing. That is exactly what kept me turning the pages on this one hoping and wishing for a reunion which was certainly worth it!
“But that’s not how life works, is it? You don’t get to press pause on people. You don’t get to ask them to wait while you figure yourself out.”

If a sweet sports romance with lovable characters, a great story, and a little bit of spice is your vibe, look no further. Bases Loaded checked all the boxes! While I don’t love a miscommunication trope, I do love a golden retriever MMC and a non-traditional FMC. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more of the Stillwell Sliders series.

This was my first time reading anything by this author. I am a sucker for any kind of sports romance, I am officially hooked! This was such a fun, fluffy summer read. Enemies to lovers with an age gap. He is the younger one in this scenario! I loved getting to read Harper & Austin's story, of misunderstanding, to each championing each other. I also really loved all the side characters that were introduced, it felt very well balanced with the story and not extraneous in anyway. Perfect amount of spice/smut and dialog.

This book was a quick read, but I really couldn't get myself to become invested in the story or characters. The story felt very surface level and there wasn't much to it to make it stand out. I also found the Harper and Austin 6 month separation to be stupid since that literally could have been solved if either of them just communicated their feelings with the other. 😭 Anyways, still an easy read.

The separate story lines of "who am I now," the banter, the friend groups, the winks- so good! Loved this story of Harper and Austin, and watching them grow where they needed to was awesome. Easy to read, perfect chapter lengths. Definitely recommend!

WOW!
This books starts off with our FMC Harper's coming out of a shit storm marriage, her cheating husband gets the team PT pregnant & wants to start a new life with his new family. Quietly exiting, with only 2 suitcases to show for her decade long relationship, the only place she can go, is home. And there's nothing worse than feeling like a failure to your family & coming back to your hometown where everyone knows your business.
We love a recovering hottie athlete that is Austin. After suffering a serious injury that resulted in surgery, this golden boy is not feeling like his game is at the level it used to be pre-injury. With the help of his baseball connections, he decides to take a step down to the minors to work on his game & his confidence.
Getting hit with that sweet Texas heat, Austin is realizing that a lil southern hospitality is nice change from Florida.
With a 1st night "break in" encounter Austin wants nothing to do with this "cleat chaser" who (literally) falls over him while getting out of the shower.
And all Harper wants to do is fall into bed & sleep the nightmare away, but its kinda hard when some random guy is staying in your supposed refuge of a guest house at Grams. As this unfortunate encounter unfolds leaving Harper on the curb desperately actioning her plan B- staying with her helicopter sister.
But that's the funny thing with small towns, Austin soon realizes that his "cleat chaser" intruder just so happens to be the daughter of the mans bar he's sitting in, as well as Grams grand daughter, the woman who's house he's currently living in.
Swearing off men & baseball is Harpers new mantra, but its hard to ignore when your life's passion happens to be sports photography & the hot, charming Pitcher currently living in your guest house just wont give up his pursuit in getting to know you.
After a bit of cat n mouse & sexual tension so thick you could cut it
Both Harper & Austin agree to "casual" & enjoy the time they have with each other... but of course things never go as planned & someone's always gotta catch feelings.

An unexpected visit unfortunately has Austin leaving sooner than planned- right when things are starting to turn serious. Though Harper agrees to stay in touch & be friends, since there was always an expiration date. With the distance, time zones & baseball schedules it gets harder to keep that connection alive.
Sometimes the universe has a funny way of working & with time it can give you a 2nd chance. Finding each other again, in Texasland, both Harper & Austin's paths finally end on the same team. Him a new player, Her the new team photographer.
Dont let this cover fool you, if your a Liz Tomforde, Tessa Bailey, or Meg Quinn fan, then this book is for you! Its definitely gives off those same fun rom-commy vibes while also addressing some pivotal life moments & some SPICE🌶️!

There is something incredibly special about a story that reminds you life isn't over just because your plans change. Sometimes the biggest heartbreaks become the very thing that leads you exactly where you're meant to be, and Bases Loaded captured that beautifully.
This was my first book by Kimberly Page, but it absolutely won't be my last. I completely devoured this story and honestly couldn't put it down. Between the small-town charm, lovable characters, heartfelt romance, and emotional personal growth, I found myself completely invested in Harper and Austin's journey from beginning to end.
Harper's story hit me harder than I expected. After sacrificing her dreams for a marriage that ultimately left her heartbroken, watching her slowly rebuild her confidence and rediscover who she was outside of someone else's shadow was incredibly rewarding. There were moments where I wanted to lovingly shake her, but seeing her finally choose herself and pursue the life she truly wanted made every step of her journey worthwhile.
Austin completely stole my heart. Even though he's younger than Harper, his emotional maturity, patience, and unwavering support made him one of my favorite heroes in recent memory. He never tried to rush Harper's healing or force her into something she wasn't ready for. Instead, he quietly encouraged her dreams, respected her boundaries, and proved over and over that real love means standing beside someone while they find themselves again.
Their chemistry was absolutely fantastic. The enemies-to-lovers tension quickly turned into heartfelt friendship, playful banter, longing glances, and eventually a romance that felt completely earned. Every emotional milestone between them felt authentic, and the intimate moments fit their relationship perfectly without ever overshadowing the story itself.
The small-town setting was another huge highlight. Grams completely stole my heart, Larkie Jean was exactly the kind of best friend everyone deserves, and every supporting character added something meaningful without ever taking the spotlight away from Harper and Austin. The found family dynamic made Stillwell feel like somewhere I'd happily visit again and again.
One of my favorite things about this story was that both Harper and Austin grew individually before finding their way back to each other. Austin learned there was more to life than baseball, while Harper finally gave herself permission to chase the dreams she'd put on hold for someone else. Their relationship felt stronger because they became better versions of themselves first.

Okay, so apparently Kimberly Page woke up one day and decided she was also going to be ridiculously good at writing sports romance because… excuse me?? 🤯🤯🤯
Like I already read her books before, so I knew her stories are amazing –that wasn’t the surprise. The surprise was finding out she could make me question whether I’m secretly a baseball romance girly. This is the second baseball romance I've ever read and honestly? I'm honestly questioning myself...🤔🤔🤔
Now onto the juicy part aka the story ... So this book follows Harper, who’s just gone through a divorce and heads back home to Stillwell, Texas, hoping to rebuild her life. What I loved the most, though 🥹🤍🫶🏼 was watching both of them grow. Harper wasn’t magically “fixed” just because she met someone new. She had to rebuild herself, figure out who she was again, and slowly start living for herself instead of letting others erase her wants and needs. And Austin? Once you get past that absolutely awful first impression, he’s honestly such a sweetheart.
I also loved the banter between them, the chemistry, and the way the story kept bringing them back together. Every time life seemed to send them in different directions, somehow they’d find their way back to each other, and I absolutely ate that up. I genuinely went into this expecting a cute sports romance, but what I got was so much more. Like I already read her books before, so I knew her stories are amazing –that wasn’t the surprise. The surprise was finding out she could make me question whether I’m secretly a baseball romance girly. This is the second baseball romance I've ever read and honestly? I'm honestly questioning myself...🤔🤔🤔
Now onto the juicy part aka the story ... So this book follows Harper, who’s just gone through a divorce and heads back home to Stillwell, Texas, hoping to rebuild her life. Kimberly Page is back with her newest release, Bases Loaded, book 1 in her Stillwell Sliders series. Our FMC is coming home after a devastating divorce and isn’t in a hurry to get back into dating. Yet, life has other plans for her and they may lead her to the best thing that’s ever happened to her. I love her writing style and character development. Both the FMC and MMC are layered, deep, and complex; while remaining easy to connect to and want to see happy.

She is sassy, done with taking people’s crap, and focused on herself. So many times throughout the book I was laughing at her quick wit and snarky comebacks with our MMC and other people. As she softens up to people around her, you begin to see that she truly is trying to protect herself. This is something I can completely understand and empathize with, because no one enjoys being made to feel less than and/or unworthy. I love that life wasn’t done with her yet and kept showing back up with a happiness she never expected.
Austin goes after what he wants. He has had big dreams for himself and has reached most of them. When he meets Harper, it may not start off great, but he isn’t going to let hard work deter him. The way he continuously shows up for Harper, without being asked, shows how much he sees her. He encourages her to live for herself and chase her dreams. He may be younger, but he understands life in a way that most young people don’t. Harper’s happiness means so much to him he is willing to lose her for her to find it. I mean, come on!! Swoon city!

Speaking of the team, this is a great group of guys who truly support each other. So many of them need their own story and Kimberly may have given some Easter eggs as to what is coming. You guys! I ADORED THIS SO MUCH. I didn’t want it to end. First of all, Harper has the best sarcastic comebacks and I love when a FMC can be funny but also shows her badass side. Especially when she’s trying to restart her life and finally focus on HER. Because she deserves to live her best life. Her personality SHINED through those pages and I love to see it. Our MMC Austin, ohhh boy. 😉 The moment they met you KNEW there was going to be tension. Because why wouldn’t there be when Harper accidentally breaks into his guest house—while he was in the shower. 🙊 From the very beginning of them meeting, it was straight tension, miscommunication and sarcasm. And it was PERFECTION. The interactions they had were top tier and the moment they gave in to each other, YES PLEASE. It was sweet, spicy, and undeniable. I loved the way their relationship began and continued to grow throughout. Both understanding each other (eventually) and both supporting each other unconditionally. It’s always heartwarming to see the characters finally get the love and happiness they deserve. Not only am I obsessed with Harper and Austin, but I’m super obsessed with the supporting characters. Grams! Her interactions immediately you just knew you wanted to hug her and be her best friend. A sweetheart but comical in her own way. And we love her for it. Larkie Jean—Harper’s best friend—that woman had no filter. Her flirty comments, calling Harper out on her bullshit, and also literally saying anything that came to her mind—she was the perfect addition to this story. The bubbly and humorous personality everyone wants to have in a friend, but she’s your ride or die forever. (I hope we get to see her more in the future). And of course the baseball team themselves. Their dialogue was so fun to read. They were chaotic, random, and lovable. This was the perfect cozy, sports romance. It had depth, emotions, humor, enlightenment, spice, baseball, and the most amazing found family. I loved every bit of this story and the characters. I cannot wait to get more from this series. I’m so excited.

She makes a late night flight down, her sister Paige and best friend Larkie Jean the only souls who know that she is coming, only to find that the guest house she was planning on staying in is occupied.
Austin Lexington, brother of Jess (from “On the Record”), is the new starting pitcher for the minor league baseball team, the Stillwell Sliders. After is elbow injury, he is trying to recoup and get ready to go back to the majors in Tampa to win the world series. Only planning on staying as long as he needs to, Austin never expects to find the friendships and kindness he does in Stillwell.
At first, Harper and Austin dislike each other, very much a frenemies situation, that turns into something more. They cannot deny the attraction they feel, even though Harper is 32 and Austin is 26. Each makes the other feel alive and have a spark that has been missing for both in a long while. Austin helping Harper realize she can follow her dreams, and Harper helping Austin realize he is more than just baseball.
This book made me excited to see where the rest of the series is going. As always with Kimberly Page books, her side characters are just as fun as her main ones, and you really want to learn more about them! I cannot wait to see who we will follow in future books and how the overall story will unfold!

Websites like Amazon and Goodreads really need to update their star ratings so we can give half stars! Bases Loaded was an easy 4.5-star read for me, and I hate having to give it a solid 4 stars when it deserved that extra half!
This was my first book by Kimberly Page, and I can happily say it will not be my last. She immediately pulled me into the story with her writing, and the character development was chef's kiss. I became so invested in Austin and Harper and their relationship that I didn't want to put the book down. I needed to know how their story was going to play out and whether they would get the ending I was hoping for.
It wasn't just Austin and Harper who pulled me into the story. I absolutely loved the Stillwell Sliders team too. When the guys first met Austin, they didn't get starstruck or treat him like he was some big-name player. They simply welcomed him as the newest member of their team and treated him like one of the guys right from the start. I loved seeing how quickly they accepted him and how supportive they were of one another.
Harper's group of girlfriends was just as amazing. I loved the friendship and support they had for one another, and I would absolutely love to read more about Larkie Jean. Her energy and self-confidence practically radiated off the page, and she was one of those supporting characters who immediately made me want more of her story. Honestly, if Kimberly Page wants to give her a book, I will be first in line!
All of these characters added so much to the story and made it easy to become invested in more than just Austin and Harper. The story kept me wanting to read just one more chapter, and before I knew it, I was completely wrapped up in their world.
Overall, this was an easy 4.5-star read for me, and I am definitely adding more of Kimberly Page's books to my TBR. If Bases Loaded is any indication of what I can expect from her other books, I know I have some great reads ahead of me.

Bases Loaded is everything I want in a small-town sports romance. Funny, emotional, swoony, and packed with chemistry.
Ryker and Harper's relationship starts off with plenty of tension and stubbornness, but what I appreciated most was that their connection didn't rely solely on the back-and-forth banter. As their walls started coming down, you could really see why they worked together. Their chemistry was undeniable, but it was the quieter moments. The vulnerability, the support, and the way they challenged each other to grow, that ultimately sold me on them.
I loved that the baseball element added to the story instead of taking it over. You don't need to know anything about the sport to enjoy this book, and it never felt weighed down by game play or technical details.
The small-town setting was another highlight. It had that cozy, everyone knows everyone feel without becoming over the top, and the side characters made the world feel more real. I'm already curious to see who gets their own story next.
there were a few moments where I wanted certain conversations to last a little longer before everything was resolved. I enjoyed the emotional payoff, but I wouldn't have minded sitting with the conflict a bit more.

Where to begin? Harper and Austin were so sweet together. The dynamic between the two of them and the push and pull that started their relationship was perfection. I couldn’t stop smiling while seeing them on page together.
I really enjoyed how realistic the healing process was in this book. Harper was hurt, betrayed, and embarrassed. Ms. Page did not skip over that or make Harper’s situation feel like a plot device. I was not only pleased with how Harper handled it, but with how the side characters supported her.
I think that is one of the biggest reasons why I enjoyed Bases Loaded so much. The found family aspect made this feel so cozy and engaging. I found myself laughing out loud at the team’s group chat and the scene with the grannies and girl’s night.
Maybe a spoiler but not really👇
My only reason why it wasn’t a complete 5 star was because of the towel drop. I’ll be honest I really didn’t like or expect that. It felt weird and unnecessary to the plot. I understand that he thought she was a cleat chaser, but that’s just gross. It made me feel icky.

Kimberly Page really understands that there is nothing sexier than a man who quietly, consistently shows up.
Harper returns home carrying the wreckage of a marriage that asked her to make herself smaller. Austin arrives in town trying to rebuild a career that suddenly feels uncertain. Neither of them is looking for love, but sometimes healing shows up wearing baseball pants and making you breakfast.
Austin Lexington is the kind of book boyfriend that sneaks up on you. He's confident without being arrogant, patient without being passive, and so completely gone for Harper that I was smiling through every chapter. Watching him encourage her to dream again instead of asking her to sacrifice those dreams for him was everything.
Harper was equally wonderful. Her sarcasm and sharp edges made perfect sense after everything she'd endured, and seeing her slowly rediscover herself outside of someone else's shadow was incredibly satisfying.
The romance delivered all the tension I wanted, but the emotional growth is what stayed with me. This is a story about second chances that have nothing to do with going backward. Sometimes the best love arrives only after you've learned your own worth.

He's confident without being arrogant, patient without being passive, and so completely gone for Harper that I was smiling through every chapter. Watching him encourage her to dream again instead of asking her to sacrifice those dreams for him was everything.
Harper was equally wonderful. Her sarcasm and sharp edges made perfect sense after everything she'd endured, and seeing her slowly rediscover herself outside of someone else's shadow was incredibly satisfying.
The romance delivered all the tension I wanted, but the emotional growth is what stayed with me. This is a story about second chances that have nothing to do with going backward. Sometimes the best love arrives only after you've learned your own worth.
Also, whoever said a man cooking breakfast isn't foreplay deserves an award because... facts.
I already want to move to Stillwell, become a Sliders fan, and read every single book in this series.

Perfect light-hearted romance with small town charm. Harper and Austin get off on the wrong foot, but that quickly changes the 6 weeks he spends in Stillwell recovering from this arm/elbow injury. I did appreciate that you could feel the tension build up between the two. I especially loved how Austin would check in with Harper to make sure she’s okay with everything sexually. Though Bases Loaded is primarily a romance book, the author does a good job developing Austin and Harper as individuals. Plus I actually enjoyed their time apart so they could grow and become their own persons. Harper gained her confidence and joy back after shrinking herself in an 8 year marriage. Austin realized that people will love him outside of baseball. Spoiler: Austin decides to transfer to the Texas Outlaws because of the community feeling where the team feels more like a family and everyone looks out for each other. I've been reading more small-town romances and I love that sense of community that one might not necessarily find in a bigger city.
The only things I didn't like was the use of the modern language (I general I don't like it because it dates the book) and spoiler alert, the lack of communication between Austin and Harper towards the end of the book. There are also quite a number of characters to keep track of which can be confusing at times. But I understand why the author introduced them because they might get their own books later (i.e. Larkie Jean and Buck or Maisie and Bash).
Overall, solid book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Some books don't need to emotionally destroy you to leave a lasting impression. Sometimes they just make you close the book with a stupid little smile on your face. This was one of those.
Harper and I got off to a... questionable start. There were definitely a few moments where I wanted to reach through the pages and give her a gentle (okay, maybe not so gentle) reality check. But the more I got to know her, the more I understood her. Watching her rebuild herself after putting someone else's dreams ahead of her own was genuinely rewarding. She finally stopped living for everyone else, took control of her own future, and went after the life she wanted. And honestly? Good for her. I loved watching her grow, and parts of her journey hit a little closer to home than I was expecting. Austin, meanwhile, completely won me over. Age-gap romances can be hit or miss for me, but this one just worked. He was patient, kind, emotionally mature, and never tried to overshadow Harper's journey. Instead, he supported it. There's something ridiculously attractive about a man who quietly shows up, consistently backs up his words with actions, and never makes you question where you stand.
Together, they had fantastic chemistry. Their relationship developed naturally, and by the time the spice arrived, it actually felt earned. It complemented their connection instead of carrying it, and that's something I always appreciate. Also... yes, the spice was absolutely spicing.
The side characters deserve a little love too because they were so much fun. They brought plenty of personality to the story, made the world feel fuller, and somehow managed to stand out without stealing the spotlight from Harper and Austin.
Overall, this was such a heartwarming read. It made me laugh, made me root for the characters, and left me finishing the book happier than when I started it. And now excuse me while I impatiently wait for Boone's story because I already know I'm going to need it.

From an injury to a divorce, this story shows how unexpected changes can open the door to new beginnings. I loved watching Harper find her way back to herself after her divorce and rediscover her love for life. As a sports romance fan, this one was an easy book to settle into.
The dynamic between Harper and Austin was interesting. It begins with enemies to lovers energy before gradually becoming more romantic as the story progresses. I really enjoyed the first intimate scene, as it felt well timed and fit naturally within the relationship.
That said, I felt the pacing became uneven afterward. Some chapters felt like they were missing pieces of the story, and a few of the intimate scenes didn’t add much to the plot or character development. I found myself wishing for more emotional buildup and additional details to strengthen their relationship.
Overall, I think this story had a lot of potential. I would have loved for it to be a little longer to give the characters and their journey more room to breathe. Even so, Kimberly Page’s writing made for a quick, enjoyable read, and I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books in the future.

Okay, so I literally know NOTHING about baseball…but I am stoked for this series. This first book introduction was perfect. I love this band of characters, as well as the sweet little town of Stillwell and all of the potential fun that is going to occur there. But most of all, I loved the love story in this book. Not quite “enemies to lovers”…but definitely there was some strong dislike that Austin had to overcome to win Harper’s affection. These two are adorable together though and instantly gave what the other so desperately needed in their life, before they even really knew each other. They just naturally supported each other and loved each other in the way that mattered most. It was beautiful. They truly brought out the best in the other person. I HATED the separation of the characters 2/3 of the way through. While it was growth and independence that they needed, it broke my heart a little at the same time. And I wished they had kept more in contact as friends during that time than they did. ….Their reunion though? Priceless. And the chemistry between these two? FIRE!!! So hot. I had seen the spoiler that there was quite a few back to back chapters of spice…and while I love me some spicy reads, I was worried that it would get redundant or feel overdone. But no…I was so wrong. It was so well executed and didn’t feel like too much at all. I honestly have no critiques. I adore this author, both with her writing but also as a person. If you haven’t checked out her work yet, please do! Now!

I love a baseball romance but reverse age gap is something I’m fairly new with and now am pretty sure I love. This book was written so well, in a way that I got so easily attached and connected to both Austin and Harper and rooted for them like crazy. Like whenever Austin did something stupid I was literally yelling at my kindle and deeply invested. And one micro-trope that I LOVE, is when the fmc is sworn off like this specific type of athlete (hockey player baseball player etc) because of a bad ex, but the mmc is so persistent to prove her wrong and falls so damn hard. From that first meet cute they had chemistry stretching out for miles, and the tension was burning hot between them. They have this “only temporary”friends with benefits thing but caught feeling so fast it gave me whiplash. Austin is the perfect golden retriever mmc, he shows up determined to win over Harper time and time again. And as if I wasn’t swooning hard enough already, he says I love you first and it’s the more adorable and heartwarming thing ever. Harper had a terrible run with her husband, giving up her life for his and I love how Austin recognises this and pushes her to find her path even if it hurts him to leave her. This book was irresistible and goes so much deeper these your typical romcom. The characters were so inspiring with Harper finally putting herself first and Austin realising he’s more than just stats on a scoreboard. It was emotional yet so swoon worthy and romantic. I give this a 5/5.

I have such a soft spot for small-town sports romances, and Bases Loaded absolutely delivered. ⚾🤍
Ryker and Harper had me hooked from their very first interaction. The banter was so good, but what really made me love them was watching all those little moments slowly turn into something neither of them saw coming.
This wasn't one of those romances where they fall in love overnight. It took time, trust, and a whole lot of pushing each other's buttons before either of them was ready to admit what was happening... and I loved every second of it.
Ryker surprised me the most. Beneath all the confidence was someone carrying his own fears, and seeing Harper become the person he could finally be himself with made my heart so happy. And Harper? She was strong, independent, and never afraid to stand her ground, which made their dynamic even better.
The small-town setting was exactly what I wanted—cozy, charming, and filled with side characters that made the world feel alive. I already know I'll be coming back for the rest of this series.
The only thing I wanted was just a little more time with a few of the emotional moments because I wasn't ready for them to be over.

I was very lucky to have been gave the opportunity to read this book as an ARC and wow what an opportunity it was.
Bases Loaded is a small town, sports romance with an age cap couple that focuses on Harper as the FMC and Austin as the MMC. Harper, who is an older woman, has been through quite a lot due to her facing a major life twist where she faces a divorce which results in a relocation from New York back to her home where her Gram lives and makes her hesitant to want to fall in love again.
Upon her initial return, she meets the very handsome Austin at the cabin who isn't too keen on Harper and comes across too quick to judge a book by its cover and he makes assumptions of her which eventually leads to him making her leave.
When Austin reflects on his actions he deeply regrets making her leave which results in him becoming fascinated by her, her personality and her beauty and totally and utterly obsessed with her.
Harper and Austin are so relatable and have actual life stories which helps the readers connect more to the story as they can relate and not feel so alone.
This book was so addictive and was so hard to put down, don't think I've read a book as fast as I read this one in a long time. The amount of mixed emotions, emotions all over and how deep the emotions ran it felt like I never knew what was going to happen next.
Thank you Kimberly Page for writing such a fantastic book and for allowing me the opportunity to have an insight to Harper and Austin's story. I can't wait to read more of your work.

Harper chooses to divorce her New York baseball player cheating husband, and has to return home to start anew. She is surrounded by an amazing support system in her best friend, father, sister, and Gram. Harper’s goes back to Texas thinking she can stay in her Gram’s guest house, only to open the door to Austin Lexington who is staying there while he rehabs his arm after shoulder surgery.
Austin has never experienced the small town feel like Stillwell, Texas, but manages to not only fall in love with the people and town of Stillwell, but falls for Harper as well. Thankfully, when he is well enough to go back to the big leagues, he does not push Harper to come with him. (She has been there and done that)!
They text message sporadically over the next few months, and Harper finds herself a photography internship, and she works her way to becoming the team photographer for the Texas MLB team that Austin manages to get traded to…
I love romance, especially baseball ones, it is my favorite sport to watch, after all!

𝘔𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴: I LOVED this book so much! You should definitely be adding this to your TBR, if you love a sweet sports romance with a little spice then bases loaded is the book for you! I’m not a sports fan in the real world but I absolutely eat it up in books😂I am so excited for this series, the characters are relatable and very loveable. The book was written very well it was easy and quick to get into, I got attached to Austin and Harper and I became obsessed with them!! Bases loaded is not like your regular rom-coms this is so much better😁 I absolutely recommend this book 100%.

I am such a sucker for romance, and this book reminded me exactly why.🥹💖
There is just something about reading two people find love, heal together, and choose each other that makes my heart so happy. Add in a family that loves fiercely, supports each other, and always wants the best for one another? I was SOLD.
Austin and Harper completely stole my heart.😭✨
Their relationship was so wholesome, so tender, and so full of love that it had me kicking my feet and wishing for a romance like theirs.
Austin? Yeah… welcome to the Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame because he officially earned his spot.🤭💖
The way he knew exactly what he wanted to give Harper and then actually followed through? Bare minimum? Absolutely not. This man went above and beyond in every possible way. Watching him help Harper rediscover the light her ex-husband tried so hard to dim was beautiful, emotional, and incredibly satisfying.
I also loved the sports romance angle. Seeing Austin recover from his injury in a small town and unexpectedly find the love of his life made this story feel so cozy and heartfelt.
I’m beyond grateful for the chance to read this book. It was everything I needed after a long week, and it left me smiling long after I turned the last page. Sweet, healing, swoony, and full of heart… I loved every second of it. 💕📚

ARC Review: 3.5⭐️
Cute, bingeable, and ultimately a sweet read, but as a certified miscommunication trope hater, this one tested me at times. I appreciated the older, divorced FMC representation and was pleasantly surprised that we never had to deal with the ex-husband directly. That said, I occasionally wanted to shake Harper by the shoulders. I completely understood her hesitation to jump into another relationship, but girl, if you're not going to be honest with the man, at least be honest with yourself.
And speaking of questionable choices, why did these two idiots in love basically ghost each other for six months? I spent a good chunk of the book wondering if everyone involved had misplaced their phones. Their texts were short, brief and robotic, and they spent every other page acting like FaceTime wasn't a thing.
Complaints aside, I mostly had a decent time. Stillwell and Grams absolutely stole the show for me, and I'm pretty sure I would ride or die for a friend like Larkie Jean. As for Bash and the rest of the series? I'll read them, but Page is going to have to work very hard to make me forgive has wandering eyes when the man currently has a whole ass fiancée. We'll see
