So the follow up from the Short Story Here Come The Boys is this one and it's a perfect continuation and wrap up of both Angie and Selina's story. Angie and Selina are now firm friends following their years of not speaking after their school days. Their last trip resulted in Seina making the brave decision to leave her husband and it made Angie see what she had waiting for her at home!

This book seemed a little shorter than the last and I literaly read it in about 10 minutes. I think this would have been better being added on to the last short story. Unfortunately about 40% of this was the short story and the rest is extracts from another MJ book. Couldn't helpp being a little bit dissapointed but am hoping we return with a full length book at some point to see how Angie and Selina are getting on.

I absolutely loved catching up with Selina and Angie from Here Come the Girls. The introduction to the Sunflower Cafe was lovely- it sounds like a very inviting place to enjoy time with special friends. 'It just wants you to sit down and forget the world outside for a bit'. Wouldn't we all love somewhere to escape to and enjoy the afternoon with a tasty cake and cup of tea. I can't wait to read Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe now! This book was great to curl up with on the sofa- with a nice cuppa whilst the rain came down outside. In my head I could be on the cruise and then nestled in a really cosy cafe with my best friend.

Thanks for a great read Milly.

This is short story which leads into the author's recently published book 'Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Café' Selina and Angie, who first appeared in 'Here Come the Boys', are taking tea at the café and reminiscing over what happened to them after that fateful cruise.

It is probably best to read 'Here Come the Boys' before reading this short story so that you know the background. I am reading them the wrong way round as I am now going to read 'Here Come the Boys' and the then 'Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Café' You can't beat Milly Johnson for down to earth feel good books which are a joy to read.

Milly Johnson is a new author to me. I've seen her books everywhere however for some reason I never gave her writing a chance. Recently I'm in the mood for chick lit/womens a genre I rarely read in my adult years. No idea why since I loved it as a teenager! Johnsons books have 5 star ratings continously on Amazon and Goodreads. To summarise, I'm curious and I got to read her work!

I really enjoyed this short ebook mainly the introduction to her book Sunflower Cafe.. The first part seems to be following through with characters from her previous book.

I'm waiting for my order of Magnificent Mrs Mayhew. Heres to my Milly Johnson journey!

I didn't know what to expect when I downloaded the book, I only got it because my kindle recommend it to me, and I liked the cover, and well if I'm honest, mainly because it was free!

I didn't actually realise it was a sequel, however I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story on my lunch break.

I found myself engaging with the characters really quickly, and finding that I really wanted to eat in the sunflower cafe!

Overall this was a really jolly, happy little read, I loved Johnson's style of writing and can not wait to read more of her books!

I wonder if there is follow-up to this follow-up... ;-) It was over in a few minutes, all 18 pages of it! I didn't realise it was such a short short story. Basically, this tied up a few ends of the last novel and included a prologue for the next novel (which I've already read).

Not much to it. Most of the ebook is taken up by samples of her next 2 books.

One thing I find very irritating is the inability of the author/editor to keep the names straight - there are 2 characters and they are frequently mixed up in a story that’s only 10 pages or so!

Least liked of all the MJ books I have recently read. **SPOILER**
The reason being I cannot forgive Selina for deliberately seducing her best friend's boyfriend. There is no mention of her being deeply in love with him and no explanation for her behaviour other than as the poor little rich girl she wanted the cosiness of her friend's family/lifestyle/confidence and just took it without remorse. I know if I was in Angie's shoes I would not be able to get past this huge betrayal and become pals again so for that reason I felt at odds with the story.

A very very short story, which follows after another short story called ‘Here come the boys’.

So it was nice to see how things turned out for Angie and Selina, after their adventure in previous short story, but how I wish this little short story was longer. Would have been nice to experience Angie and Selina friendship in full bloom now that they have reunited.

But hey ho, it was still nice even if it was short and sweet.

I didn't actually realise how brief this was until I was at the end! Enjoyable, written to tie up some details that some readers felt needed tying up from Here Come The Boys - I didn't as I felt Here Come The Boys finished satisfyingly. I did enjoy this but would have liked it to go on much longer than it does.

Bits

I usually like this author's books but this book is a waste of time as it is full of nothing but beginning chapters of other books. Waste of time and money.

A light short story followed by the start of a couple of Milly Johnsons other books. Having already read them it was nice to be reminded how good they were.

Didn't enjoy this book. It switched from the story on to extracts from other books. I thought the download was faulty, as I purchased it as an e-book!
