Twenty six year old Taylor has moved to England to open her own salon and care for her ageing aunt. She’s consumed in making her business a success when she receives a proposition from an arrogant but sexy biker that she just can’t refuse!

Mitchell ‘Duke’ Groves is the President of the Aces. He’s the youngest leader in the club’s history and takes his job seriously, leaving no time for fun or drama especially as he tries to lead the club away from all illegal activity.

With the recent death of Jimmy and the inevitable deal that would change the direction of the club forever, can Duke keep it together or should he seek reassurance from an unlikely source?

Warning: This is a fast pace MC romance with colourful language, violence and hot love scenes.

Note to readers: I wan't to take the time to mention that I'm from the United Kingdom and use UK spellings.

This book is a stand alone story. However, to receive the full experience of the Aces MC Series it is recommended to read the stories in the following order.

Diesel – Available now
Duke – Coming April 2015
Spike – Coming August 2015
Locke – Coming December 2015

I've always had an overly imaginative and creative mind and although I've managed to maintain my sanity regardless of my career choice (teaching), I've decided to channel that creativity in other ways. Never had I thought of writing a book, until 2014 and I'm pleased that I did.

I hope to entertain those who enjoy gritty romance stories with domineering men and strong women.

I like to think I have a certain edge over other MC authors because of my family ties to an MC in the UK, which help to keep my books realistic (to a certain degree!) and not shy away from the fact that these club members although alpha male, are still husbands, fathers and lovers with feelings.

Thank you to all that read my books and support me in pursuing my dream.

I hope my readers enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

I am stupid for trying this book as I did not really like the previous one. But I thought/hoped that the writing would improve as the series progressed.

I have no idea if the writing improved. Still head jumping which I hate. But I was too consumed by the train wreck that is Duke. He has got to be one of the biggest assholes I have read in a long time! Such a complete and total alcoholic dick! Not to mention a CHEATING asshole!! I cannot even get into all of the issues without writing a novel so just save yourself some time and sanity and skip this terrible fucking book!

This was a great read, thank you. I started it Sunday morning and didn't put it down until it was completed. I really love the fast pace of Aimee's books. They cover what they need to and get straight to the point. No room for whining female leads only strong women that know what they want. I loved Duke, then hated him, then loved him again! I won't put any spoilers in this review and you will make your own mind up but in my opinion it's a great read and well worth a look. Can't wait for Spikes story and Locke seems like an interesting character. Where does he keep on going?

I really enjoyed this book, it was really great. I knew when i first started reading about Taylor it was going to be good, she has to be one of my favorite female lead characters, she was just perfect for duke, although he did have his moments of being a idiot, am glad when he realized what they could have together.

it was so strange to read about the all the towns near where i grew up, and where i went when i was younger, nice to hear about the Hertfordshire area where i have lived all my life.

i really cant wait for spike next, bring him on, thanks for sending me the book Aimee, keep up that fab work

What another fantastic book. I don't usually like books that are based in England because it's very rare they get them right and end up being annoying. Well congrats Aimee because these book are unlike any of the biker books iv read as of late and didn't annoy me at all. It's nice how the books follow on and give you different character perspectives. I loved diesel's book, now duke's was amazing and can not wait for Spike's, that sneak peak into his early child hood is clearly a sign for greater things to come. Duke and ash- they may not realise it but they are perfect for each other. She is brilliant with her openness and duke with his not so sunny disposition. I will say one thing though, amy always uses the bikers given names instead of their club names, an index would be helpful as I was finding myself always trying to figure out who she was referring to.

Loved this book also! Second in the Aces series and didn't disappoint. Love Aimee's writing style as it's fast paced with no BS. Good relationship between Duke and Taylor. A nice balance between club business and romance! Hot love scenes! And I love a happy ending. What more can I say? Oh yeah, Spike! Still my beating heart. Love that man. Sooooooo looking forward to his story in August.

I've read the rest of the reviews on here to find a mixed bag which is interesting. Books are like art, they are subjective!
What I have learned from both of Aimee's books are that they are different! Different how you may ask?
The Aces MC guy's swear, fight, shag...which is great as we all love men that do that, right? But I can see what she is trying to do by introducing the softer side of these guys to us, by stating many times that these guys are fathers, lovers, husbands...
Does this work? I think so. These guys can't be arse holes all the time otherwise women wouldn't fall in love with them. Is there room for romance in an MC book? I think so. It doesn't have to be just shagging.
Do Members of an MC have feelings? Yes they do. And the reason I know this, is that my husband is an associate of an MC. We BBQ together, have fun days out with the kids...
She will kill me for sharing too much but unlike other authors, Aimee has links to an MC in England.
I'm not gonna state who or where as I'll get in trouble but that's why I can connect to her stories, they're more believable than some of the other MC books I read.
If you are looking for hot alpha males who eat, sleep, fuck, drink, swear...then this book isn't for you. But if you want a more realistic MC book with sexy men that still fuck but have feelings and enjoy a happy ending, then down load and start reading.
Love you Aimee, keep up the good work. Can't wait for my Spike fix!

I have read many MC books and it is one of my favourite stories to read. So I was over the moon to read Duke's story and leave a review.

The story has a hot alpha as a lead in Duke but as President of Aces he needs that hardness to lead his men. Duke is no pushover so when a feisty Taylor comes on the scene he is instantly enamoured with her. You can see their relationship develop of the book and like with many relationships it has its ups and downs but it is good to see they pull together in the end.

I love the gentle romance and not the over the top sex drugs and violence. Even though it is hot and steamy in some places. It is a great read and you will just fallen in love with the characters. I cannot wait for Spike's story and can see that this author has some exciting storylines coming up.

Thank you for a great read.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series (Diesel) which introduced us to Aces MC, and was looking forward for the next instalment. I wasn't disappointed, it was an overlapping of book 1 so there was lots of much loved cast and a continuation of storyline. Taylor wasn't as likeable as Harlow, I think it's because she's such an independent, strong character, but I think she had to be feisty to put up with Duke! I did like the addition of Chanel and can't wait to see where her story goes. I really, really hope we get a .5 book for Chloe and Paige! Overall, this was a great little read, and I'm looking forward to Spike's story.

Just brilliant. Thank you for sending me the ARC. Diesel was good but Duke was so much better.
Please don't hate for what I'm about to say but your writing has improved since the first book. I hope that doesn't offend and please take it as a compliment.
I loved the balance between club business and romance. I was a little worried at the start as it was all about Taylor and I was wondering when we'd get to Duke but I totally understand you need to give us back info on her.
When we got to Duke it was worth the wait. Loved the scene in the club! Wink wink! Duke was an arse but I can understand why and he came good in the end. It was nice for you to portray him as a human and not a machine like other authors do with their Presidents!
Taylor was fab and gave as good as what she got! You have set the characters up nicely for future books. Spike is a favourite but I am also looking forward to Locke's story.
This series is my favourite MC series at the moment. :D

A softer MC series that's becoming addictive.

While on the whole I enjoyed the previous book 'Diesel' I did have a few reservations and it's the same with this book.
Taylor is twenty-six years old, has just moved to England from America and is opening her own hair and beauty salon, she's beautiful, confident, witty and intelligent a difficult combination to ignore which is why when Duke meets her for the first time he's blown away. Taylor is also instantly attracted to Duke but Duke doesn't do relationships, at all, like never plus his life is dangerous and that's not the life that Taylor wants so is there anyway they can battle the odds and make it work?
I already liked all the Ace MC characters from 'Diesel' and this book just cemented that, it takes a while getting used this, not only is it a softer read but it's first and foremost a romance and I think that's the difference.
Most of the MC books I've read have been gritty and darker with a lot of the story revolving around the club and their activities, building the tension and angst often with a very strong sometimes disturbing thread. This book is more character driven and while it's based around an MC it's the romance that's the main thread, everything else revolves around that and I think I like it for a change, with reservations of course.
In 'Diesel' Harlow confused me seeming almost bipolar at times and Taylor also confused me in this book.
I was moving on to 'Spike' he's one of my favourites but I've just realised the next book is actually 'Paige and Chloe' so I'll give that a go.

I received this as an ARC for an honest review and to be honest that always scares me. I love MC books but have read some shit lately so put this off for a while.
I'm a bit of a strange one when it comes to MC books. I want an alpha male, with a dirty mouth whose good with his fists and in the bedroom but I also want him to care, yes care for his love interest! Not just shag them and fuck them around. I want to see these hard men on their knees because they can't live another day without their women, this is what wet dreams are made of! And this is what Aimee does with her stories, thank you. An MC author that finally gets it!
In saying that, Duke did lead Taylor on a bit of a merry dance but he was dealing with some important club business. Their time together though was true, honest and hot! And above all a happy ending, I love a happy ending as it gives me hope. This book had the right combination of sex, club stuff, sub characters and most importantly plot. It will be interesting now to see if the club can survive legally!
I know I'm gonna enjoy Spikes story because he has the balance I'm looking for in an MC character. Locke has issues which I'm sure will be revealed in book 4 and I'm looking forward to other developments from Bear, Tyler and CJ. Even James and Amy, that may be worth a .5 book.
I don't usually write reviews but I see promise in this author and hope she continues to write such fantastic stories that leave readers wanting more.

I really liked this book, tho it is somewhat different from most MC books I have read. I suspect the England setting has a big part in that. I had to google a few words/terms that eluded me as an American.

Taylor and Duke meet when he comes to her new Salon to offer her regular work at the local strip club doing hair and makeup. She isn't sure what to make of him as he flirts with her whilst she believes he has a girlfriend. Duke doesn't do relationships, do any bikers? lol He is not happy about his fascination with Taylor, or the teasing he gets from his "brothers". I do love the laughter they share taking turns being the butt of the jokes. Good sense of humor is important in a tough biker. :) Our story continues with both H/h attempting to decide if they should proceed in the relationship as well as dealing with the danger which follows the Aces as they work on cleaning up the illegal activities and go ligit. Not everyone is happy about that and it shows.

Duke kept me interested throughout the book and I am looking forward to reading book 1 Diesel, as well as the upcoming books on other members of the club.

*I received a copy of Duke from the author in exchange for an unbiased honest review*

This was a great read. Thank you for sending me the ARC. :-)
What I enjoyed about this book most was the relationship between the 'Brothers'. Many times I laughed out loud earning me funny looks from my boyfriend! That's when you know you've read a good book when it actually effects you and you have no control!
This is a different type of MC book so it won't be everyone's taste. It's a little more lighthearted than your usual Nicole Snow, Joanna Wylde...but that's what makes it great because it's different and more believable. What other MC books cover depression!
For me Duke had the right balance for a president. He could lose his shit (man in the club...ouch!), he could keep his cool (Tyler in the cafe) and he had a softer side just for Taylor (puckered hole!) LOL
Looking forward to Spikes story. My heart was breaking for him in the sneak peek into his story at the end of this book. I just hope he also gets a happy ending!

I liked this book but I wanted to love it. I not sure why I didn't. it was well written I think maybe the bikers were not gritty enough for me I'm use to them being more self centred arseholes and swearing more. Definitely romance not erotica. However in saying that the characters were great and it was a good story. I really loved Taylor. Looking forward to Spike's story.

Taylor decided to move to England to be close to her Aunt who recently lost her husband. Setting up her own salon is a dream come true and when she is offered to handle the hair for a local strip club owned by Aces MC. When she meet MC President Mitchell "Duke" Groves it is instant chemistry and when one hot night ends with Duke slipping out in the middle of the night.

Duke doesn't do relationships, even though Taylor has not necessarily asked for one. He can't stay away, she doesn't know if she can handle his life. Together they ignite, apart they are miserable. Which path will the choose?

Highly entertaining. I thought Duke waffled a bit but you understand why. Had one part of the plot that left me confused but otherwise it was a full HEA story. I am going to have to go back and read the first book. Looks to be an exciting series.

This book was even better than the last! I was captivated and couldn't stop reading. I just had to see what happened next! This author really has some talent with her words! She really pulls you into her story and makes you feel what the characters are feeling.

I can't wait to read the next in the series! I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mc romance books! This is one of the better mc romance series out there.

Oh I like Duke, he was quite the bastard! Too often our alphas fall into insta-love and change in the blink of an eye, he however really didn't want to be one of them. Ash was gritty and real, just what I like in our leading ladies. Thoroughly enjoyed the dynamics between Amy, Savannah and the rest of the club too.

I received this ARC for an honest review. Thank You Aimee.

This is an UK author so there is some difference in words compared to United States which I find to be interesting. So be prepared for words like learnt (learned) leant (leaned) smelt (smelled) whilst (while) and using floor for ground and the biggie to be is fag for cigarette.

I read Diesel and for a first story I loved it. Was looking forward to reading Duke and I am happy with it but not really in love with it. I loved Duke and all the stuff he does because he is a Biker and wanted him to stay true to form so I was not nor wanted to see a gentleman. But he was more of a gentleman than I was expecting and he so won me over. He is in charge of the MC Club so I hope he doesn't change the characteristics of being a good leader.

I am not sure I like Taylor as much. She irritated me for some reason not sure if it was because she came across strong in the first few chapters and then seemed to go wishy washy after Duke became more serious about her. She just seemed to act or think younger then Harlow did and Harlow was only 20 and Taylor is 26. But I did remind myself that Harlow was raised in the biker life.

I am really looking forward to more of the Aces MC Club (Spike and Locke).

Book 2 in the Aces MC series, which by the way, is fast becoming one of my favourite MC's!!! I love everything about them and especially the fact that it is a UK club and i'm British born and bred!!!
Taylor has recently moved from New York and has opened her own hairdressers/beauty salon. It doesn't take long for before word of mouth has the Aces approaching for her help with the strippers who work at the Bird Cage. Bring forth the gorgeous Duke...
Duke is President of the Aces MC and approaches Taylor with a business proposition... Hair and make up for the strippers at Bird Cage twice a week!!!
As the story explains, Duke has never been in a relationship before but with Tayor, he wants to see where 'it' goes. With problems arising constantly involving the club, Taylor has to decide what she wants...
A truly well written book with lots of twists to keep you intrugued and reading! I loved reading it and struggled to put it down once started and i just know anyone that reads it will feel the same. I can't wait to dive deeper into the lives of the members and their families of this badass club, bring on the next in series please!!!

Duke

Wow! This was a good storyline. Duke was toff and Ash was sweet this made a great romance. This Ace novel had little to do with club business which had brought more meaning to the storyline. I found it to be very vague in book two in keeping with the drama of the first novel. I like the bikers being soft in the inside and protected of their loved ones and hardcore where need be. But, the readers has to have more of the drama that the bikers club is going thru. Otherwise it's same old same all like every other romantic novel written. An we the retired reader's whom have the time on their hands to indulge ourselves become bored very fast. We need excitement not just pages humdrum storytelling.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book.

Taylor has returned to England to open her own salon and to take care of her elderly aunt. Duke is taking the MC into more legal ventures; and struggles with the possibility of a meaningful relationship.

I admit it was not as gritty as some of the MC books out there and you do have really work on the "British" way of saying things. The drama was good and made sense in the story. It was an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next release.
