A riveting and inspirational trial story suitable for everyone, which tells the tale of a personal injury lawsuit in New Mexico where a young mother of three was killed outside her workplace at a convenience store. The store chain left workers with virtually no security – no cameras, no guards, no co-worker on the graveyard shift. The young mother was robbed and taken at work, and found later stabbed to death in a field.

The book reads like a Grisham novel with strong female characters fighting against an irresponsible corporation and insurance lawyers determined to leave her family unsupported. The author Randi McGinn and her legal team were able to win a large settlement for the surviving family after a two-week trial.

The book is a great story and would make a wonderful movie as well.

I started this book yesterday afternoon, and finished it last night. I was completely captivated by Randi's talent of story telling, and the heartbreaking story of a family next door that fell victim to the greed of a large corporation.

This book was filled cover to cover with gems of practical, real world advice that I will immediately incorporate in to my career as a (hopeful) trial lawyer. Randi's experience certainly speaks for itself, but luckily for me - and those in a similar situation - she is able to convey her experience in such an entertaining and informative manner and share valuable lessons with those that read this book.
