Much of improving the actually one-shot revolves around the concept of Lesson Study. Lesson Study shows its worth in the text with valuable ideas and advice stemming from it, but I wasn't sold on the concept due to the amount of staff and time it would require. Outside of the the lesson study though, this team has offered some valuable practical advice for librarians in the classroom with students and outside of it for outreach with faculty. They also provide many great Appendix resources for those seeking ideas for their own one-shot sessions.
